IDOC Timeout
Hi,
I have an IDOC problem and im not sure if it is a performance issue or a customization.
I have a job that runs program RBDAPP01 and processes all IDOCS of status 64.
The thing is the program terminates with a timeout error of maximum runtime exceeded.
The timeout is because of the long idoc processing (more than 600 segs).
Im not sure how to apporach the problem if the IDOC data is in question or a new code should be added. The dumps may be caused in ZXVEDF02 a custom user exit.
I also need to copy an existing IDOC and change the status to 64 so that there is test data that i could work with.
Any Input on this would be greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks.
charlesf,
Follow the below steps.
1. First find the program name by Job name.
For this goto sm37-->enter jobname and user name is ' * ' -
> Execute -
>slect your job and press the button "STEP" which is in Application tool bar (OR)
press (Ctrl_shift+F9). You will get the program name.
2. Goto program in SE38 and find the code where the program passing all the IDocs to program RBDAPP01.
Ther you put the LOOP .
Ex: suppose your program is passing the idocs 10000 so that program is going for dump. Instead of that control the idocs passing to 1000 . when Idoc reaches the 1000 call the processing progarm so no dump will occur.
Reason for dump is Basis guys use to set the max.process time of seeion is 30 min. so if you run all idocs it exceeds more that 30minu and will go for dump.
Don't forget to reward if useful.

Hi,
I have a problem when I process IDocs in CRM 5.0 system. The IDocs of BP are sent via middleware into my system. When I use BD87 to select some IDocs, it often to be timeout. And if I use report RBDAPP01 to process IDocs as a background job, it often took long time and not finished.
I have looked at process via SM51, and found the progress seems to stay at program "SAPLBUBA_4" or "SAPLBUD_MEM".
Do anyone know the cause of this problem? And how to solve it?
Thank you very much for your help!
Best regards,
LongHi,
Instaed of sending bulk of idocs ,break them and schedule the program RBDAPP01..say there are 2000 idocs to be processed..
For exmaple create a variant of say 1 to 1000 and then schedule the program RBDAPP01 and once again crerate another variant with 1001 TO 2000 and then once again schedule RBDAPP01..Now in this case 2 jobs will shedule with 1000 idocs...

Pipeline timeout in sender SOAP scenario
Hi mates,
I've exposed an o/b synch MI as a webservice. A BPM will receive this message and triggers an IDOC generation program on R/3. These IDOCs are collected by BPM and a response message sent to the SOAP caller.
When I make a SOAP call, with in 60 seconds I get the error 'PL_TIMEOUT..Pipeline timeout condition satisfied'. The IDOC generation program takes more than 60 seconds to post the IDOCs. But, before this happens, SOAP caller is getting a timeout exception.
I see in the note 856597 that default timeout for sender SOAP calls is 5 mintutes. I set XI.Timeout = 600000 ms (i.e 10 mins) as per the note. I don't see any effect. Still, the timeout happens for after 1 minute. What is wrong/missing?
Please help me out.
thx in advRenjith,
I set the parameter CHECK_FOR_ASYNC_RESPONSE_TIMEOUT to 120 sec to check if this has any effect. Now I dont get any error in SXMB_MONI, the satus shows 'Log version' (small blue disc icon).
But, the SOAP caller (oXygen)receives the same (earlier) error 'org.apache.commons.httpclient.HttpRecoverableException : java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out'
I donno if I set the right parameter. Please clarify. The other two parameters in SA_COMM category are
CHECK_FOR_ASYNC_RESP_PERIOD
CHECK_FOR_MAX_SYNC_CALLS

Problem in File to IDOC Scenario
Hi,
I am trying to test the demo example for Flight Booking using the "File Sender to IDoc" Scenario. I have done all the settings. As a last step after I copy the file in
[XI-hostname]\sapmnt\trans\tmp\fileadapter\group[XX] as per the Demo example guide and activate the changes for File_Sender communication channel, no action is triggered.
The file remains in the directory. When I want to see if my adapter is fine and I check the Adapter Lists in the Adapter Monitoring, it shows only JPR Adapter and that too in RED.
Then I check the tracefiles and find this error.

Hi Experts,
what kind of IDoc Errors can occur in ECC for the scenario :
ECC sending <b>PO</b> to Ariba(E-commerce hub, using third party adapter) and in receiving back <b>Order confirmation</b> from it.
Thank you,
<b>MK</b>Hi,
This depends on the design and landscape and also Disaster Recovery or High Availability Plan.
some hints:
1. Connection Problem: Because of timeout , unavailability of the Receiver system.
2. Data Problem may cause you the error in IDoC posting [ probably functional/Business Team should look into this]
3. User ID and Password Maintenance - it may hit sometimes
4. If any pre-requisite process is required to process this IDoC, then problem in the pre-requisite process will lead the problem
these all kind of problems you may face..

Hi guys!
We have a scenario, where Idoc is sent from r/3 into XI, here enters integration process, where the idoc is mapped to soap req, sent sync to web service, ws response is mapped to other idoc type and integration process sends data to r/3.
The problem is, when more idocs are sent into xi from r/3 in short time. Some idocs are processed correctly, but some remain in status - Scheduled for outbound processing. When the same idoc (same data etc) is sent later, separately, the data (process) is processed succesfully.
Any ideas, what could be wrong?
Thanx a lot! OlianHi Olian,
This problem occurs when XI has not received the response from the webservice and it gets timed out. You can monitor this in RWB - Message Monitoring.
Have a look at this weblog

Hope this will help you in resolving the issue.

Time out when seinding Idocs from XI to receiving system
Hi All,
we have implemented a file to Idoc scenario in our XI test environment.
When sending more than one file at a time (containing one record -> 1 Idoc after conversion) XI creates the Idocs but gets a time out when passing the Idocs to the receiving SAP 4.6C system. We find the messages blocked in transaction SM58 with the status message "Transaction recorded" and on the XI system short dumps are created with the time out error message.
Does anyone know this problem and can give us some hints how to resolve it ?
Thanks in advance,
ChristianeChristiane,
Check your partner profiles in the target R/3 system. Use Tcode WE20 and check the inbound parameters option to see if the radio button 'Process Immediately' is switched on. If yes, change this to 'Process by background program'.
This way, the IDOC will be created in your system with status 64. You can then use program RBDAPP01 in the R/3 system to post these IDOCs to application.
The reason I say this is, sometimes, posting applicaitons may take a long time thereby resulting in timeout. If this is not the actual reason, atleast this will lead you to the correct problem.
Try this and let me know what's happening.

IDOC to FTPs performance issue
Hello everyone,
I have a scenario BS_A:idoc > xi > BS_B: file via ftps (ftp over ssl/tcp).
For each idoc two different files (content conversion) are created in the same directory.
I therefore have one receiver determination and one interface intermination with 2 inbound interfaces + interface mappings + 2 file receiver adpapters.
I have a performance problem when more than one idocs are created at the same time. First message goes through very fast. The ones after that take there time.
It takes 10 to 30 minutes (and some times more) for 2 idocs to deliver successfully 4 files at the other side.
Note 1: I do not exprience this when i work with normal FTP.
Note 2: I have unchecked the "Maintain at order time" check box in the interface determination. If checked then the QoS is set to EOIO.
Thanks in advance for any input or suggestions.

Hi, I have a scenario, where 2 IDocs are comming from SAP at the same time (may be 1 or 2 sec differene). 1 master data and another one is dependent IDoc.
My basic doubt is... shall I put wait step in BPM, eventhough those are comming in same time to PI?
If I put wait step... I think the minimum wait time is 1 min, is there any other way to minimize the wait time? because the next IDoc will reach the IP with in 1 to 2 seconds difference...
Or any other method to get 2 different IDocs to BPM and correlate?
Thanks for Ur time guys..."Exception TimeOut never been thrown".
You seem to have defined an Exception by name TimeOut in the BPM.
Now you have not assigned relevant Exception Handler to this exception and hence you are getting this warning message.
So just assign a proper handler to the handler and then this warning message will disappear.
If you are using any Block step then first define the Exception handler in the properties window of the Block and then use this particular Handler in the Exception branch.
Are you using a Time-dependent loop to collect the IDOC messages?....may be you can check the design here:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/EN/08/16163ff8519a06e10000000a114084/frameset.htm
The same will be available in IR/ ESR also.

Another BPM question... SOAP-XI-IDOC with ALEAUD Idoc
Hi,
Have a few problems with this BPM.
1- I'm testing my scenario with XMPSpy and when I look at my message in SXMB_MONI, I see the inbound message with the SOAP envelop in one long string. Usually I don't see it and I think this is why my mapping is not working? Do I need to do something special to not see the message with the SOAP envelop? For this, I didn't setup the SOAP as a sender, I only created a web service.
2- The IDoc is being sent to R/3 (not mapped properly because of #1 I think) but the ALEAUD is not sent back to XI. I don't see it as an outbound in R/3 (we05). I did look at the (How to handle Ack for Idoc) but no help. What are the steps that I need to do in R/3 to get the ALEAUD to be sent back to XI? Is the problem with XI or R/3?
What I did so far:
1- Did the setting in my BPM to get an ACK back after sending the Idoc to R/3 (acknowledgement = application)
2- ALE settings in R/3 for outbound ALEAUD
3- I guess my next challenge will be to within the same BPM to link back the ALEAUD back form R/3 to the response of my SOAP call. Right now i get Pipeline timeout condition satisfied. There are a few messages on this subject but i don't think this was ever done successfully? Any help you be appreciated for this.
Rgds,

Very foggy description Do you send request directly to PIPLINE ... ?
You should generate the SOAP request based on webservice deifintion (WSDL) e.g. via XMLSpy and you should send it to SOAP sender channel in AE.The payload of your inbound message should be exactly like the one you send from XMLSpy.
