IDOC with ABAP - PI Port , RFC Function module
Hi ,
I am creating outbound Idoc in one system, In the same system I am using a ABAP - PI port and assigned a RFC function module.
So when ever the outbound IDOC is created it will go to the port and triggers the RFC function module.
now my question is how to get the outbound IDOC number in the RFC function module.
I thought of reading the table EDIDC with message type, but all previous IDOC's aslo coming .
Regards
Bhaskar
Hi Bhaskar, the IDOC control record or records are transfered to your function module in table paramater I_EDIDC. You could read the IDOC data by calling function modules EDI_DOCUMENT_OPEN_FOR_PROCESS and EDI_SEGMENTS_GET_ALL for each control record.

Unknown error calling a RFC Function Module in BODI
Hi all,
I am having an issue identifying the error that my batch job in BODI is giving with regards to a RFC function module call in my query. The value returned by the standard parameter 'AL_RFC_RETCODE' are square characters ( ).
At the completion of the job, the error message 'RFC CallReceive error <Function ZCT_INDSLS_SLS_TRN_INSERT: Invalid request.. Invalid request.>.' is being output.
Correct me if I'm wrong but the parameter 'AL_RFC_RETCODE' should return standard values as per the techical manual provided to undertand any errors that might occur during a RFC FM call.
Can anyone help me on this?
Best regards,
Andrew WongHi Senthil,
I think you answered your query in your question itself
The user ID and password need to be maintained in RFC destination in SM59.
Go to SM59 and then click on test connection..if it does not ask for ID and passwoed that means correct ID and password is maintained in SM59 otherwise maintain it.

Collection problem with RFC function module WSDL.
Hi.
I have developed an RFC function module in a SAP system version 4.7 (WAS 620). This FM has 2 table parameters. I have no problem when I see the WSDL in the SAP Web Service Browser.
Another team is trying to consume this RFC FM as a web service from a Java application but they say they can't see the table parameters as collections.
Here is the WSDL of the FM, the table parameters are T_MOVIM and T_ERROR:

Should I change something in the definition of the parameters of the FM? or the problem is with the parsing process on the other system?
Thanks in advance.
Fabian.Welcome to SDN.
I am not sure about this particular issue, but i have used WSDL from WAS6.20 system in MS Office infopath to consume webservice where we have had table parameters without any issue.
may be try with office infopath to make sure that the problem is with the WSDL or with the java application.

RFC function module always creating BPs with the same user name (RFC user )
Hi All
I posted the below question in a different area before. But thought it would be more suitable here.
Moderators - Please let me know if am doing any mistake.
Question:
I have a RFC function module in CRM that creates Business Partners in ECC (XD01 tcode).
I am using a dialog RFC destination configured in SM59 in CRM.
But my RFC function module in CRM is always creating the Business Partners in ECC with the RFC user id (the user that we maintain for the RFC destination in SM59).
This is a problem for the users because they are not able to track the actual person responsible for creating these Business Partners.
Can somebody please let me know how to solve this problem?
Thanks
RajHi.
You may use the trust relationship between CRM and R/3 and in SM59 instead of set a specific username, you set the flag "current user".
With this flag, the system will access R/3 system with the user logged in CRM system. The Trust relationship must be created between CRM and R/3 in order to the system doesn't ask for a password to login in R/3.
If you need more details please reply.

RFC Function module-With Only Request message
Hi
i need a RFC with only Request message and Response message is not required.
please help me, how to create a RFC function module with out Response message, and it should contain only Request message.
i have created RFC in this way:
RFC doesn't contain neither import nor export parameters. and i have defined one table in TABLE tab which refers to a ztable created already.
when i imported RFC into XI i came to know that RFC has both Request and Response messages, but i don't need Response message.
Thanks in advance..help would be appreciated

RajeshThankx Michal,
I have written ZRFC this way:
insert ZMM_AUTO_GR from INPUT_TABLE .
if sy-subrc = 0.
commit work.
else.
rollback work.
im not using neither import nor export parameters..but using only tables parameters. but when imported in XI im getting same table structure in both request an response.
please suggest what changes required in above code to invoke my ZRFC in async way.
you will not get any response in XI- what chages required in my code to dnt get .reponse in XI.
appreciate your help.

I need to create RFC function module which creates the IDOC
Hi-
Any idea how to create RFC function module which creates the outbound IDOC. If you have any sample code please forward to me.
Thanks,
SonyMy Problem is
Whenever they create Invoice using T-code's like FV65(Parked Document), automatically should create IDOC's...
I have used message type FIDCC1 but this message type is usefull only for Posting documents.
1. Whenever they create parked document, entries will be stored in BKPF(Parked Document-Filed-BKPF-BSTAT = 'V') and Bseg....
2. I have to read entries from those tables and should create IDOC...
3. I checked FM's(FI_IDOC_CREATE_FIDCC1, FI_IDOC_PREPARE) but are not useful...
4. Now I need to write one RFC function module and that FM should create the IDOC's....
Can anyone please help me out?

Problem with RFC function module from R/3 to CRM
Hi, i have a RFC function module created in R/3, this is the code:
function Z_CRM_PRODUCTO_INTERLOCUTOR.
""Interfase local
*" IMPORTING
*" VALUE(GV_VKORG) TYPE VKORG
*" VALUE(GV_VTWEG) TYPE VTWEG
*" VALUE(GV_MATNR) TYPE MATNR
*" VALUE(GV_KUNNR) TYPE KUNNR_V
*" EXPORTING
*" VALUE(GV_KDMAT) TYPE MATNR_KU
*" VALUE(GV_POSTX) TYPE KDPTX
*" EXCEPTIONS
*" NOT_FOUND
UNPACK GV_MATNR TO GV_MATNR.
UNPACK GV_KUNNR TO GV_KUNNR.
select single KDMAT POSTX
into (GV_KDMAT, GV_POSTX) from KNMT
where VKORG = GV_VKORG
and VTWEG = GV_VTWEG
and KUNNR = GV_KUNNR
and MATNR = GV_MATNR.
IF sy-subrc <> 0.
RAISE NOT_FOUND.
ENDIF.
endfunction.
When i call this function from CRM, i do it like this:
CALL FUNCTION 'Z_CRM_PRODUCTO_INTERLOCUTOR'
DESTINATION LV_RFCDEST
EXPORTING
GV_VKORG = lv_vkorg
GV_VTWEG = ORGMAN_H-DIS_CHANNEL
GV_MATNR = ORDERADM_I_WRK-ORDERED_PROD
GV_KUNNR = WA_DATOS_PER-N_PAGADOR
IMPORTING
GV_POSTX = IT_POS_LINE-DESCRIPCION
GV_KDMAT = IT_POS_LINE-material
EXCEPTIONS
not_found = 1.
where:
it_pos_line-descripcion type string
it_pos_line-material type string.
Well, my problem is that when debugging, in R/3 the 2 return values have the correct value, but when they are passed to CRM they have only one position.
As i've been told, it was working ok, but it's being wrong since we made a ¿conversion to unicode?. Maybe I should change the type of return ???
Thanks in advance !!!Hello Maria,
Make sure you define your parameters in CRM exactly the same way as in R3, do not use type string here.
So:
it_pos_line-descripcion type C char 40,
it_pos_line-material type C length 35.
Kind regards,
John. -
RFC function module with call transaction and Import memory ID
Hi,
I am calling RFC function module from R/3 which exists in BW.
In BW stand alone function module works fine.
When I am Calling from R/3 it is not working,
Can you tell me is it because of the below code, And suggest if any corrections required.
I am calling the call transaction and using EXPORT memory iD inside the program
and IMPORT in after that.
And populating RFC table's table " p_i_tcode_user" finally.
set parameter id 'TCD' field p_tcode.
call transaction 'Z_BW_RSUSR002' AND SKIP FIRST SCREEN.
ENDIF.
get the final user data from submitted program
import gt_users_complete from memory id tcode_userid.
LOOP AT gt_users_complete.
lwa_tcode_user-tcode = p_tcode.
lwa_tcode_user-uname = gt_users_complete-Bname.
APPEND lwa_tcode_user TO p_i_tcode_user.
ENDLOOP.
Thanks,
Veerendra.HI,
Can you just exaplin it clearly plz..

Facing Problem with RFC Function Module
Hi,
I have created an RFC function module to get some data in table format.
I have run the RFC in original system: It is giving the data.
However, when I run this in target system, It is not giving any values.
Could you please let me know, why it happens? I am not sure where I missed out.
Thanks,
SandeepHI,
i hope you are calling the RFC function module in the target system like this
CALL FUNCTION <FUNC NAME> DESTINATION <DESTINATION NAME> . The destination should be logical system name of the source Logical system .

Problem while calling an RFC Function Module in Background
Hello,
I have created a RFC function module for reading data from an external DB system. The FM calls an external RFC program (coded in C++ using RFC SDK), which delivers the required data. This external program is maintainged as an TCP RFC Connection in SM59.
Further I have created a report, that calls the RFC function module to get the data from the external RFC programm.
My problem is, when I call the report in foreground, everything works OK, the RFC connection works and data can be read from the external program.
However, when I schedule the report to run in background as a job, the report is stating in the protocoll that there was a problem calling the defined RFC connection (although the connection is working properly at that time).
More funny is, this particular problem with running in background occurs only in the productive system, in test and development system the report works correctly also while running as a job in background.
Can you suggest the solution to this problem? Could it be something with authorisations or server settings?
I will be on holiday for the next 6 weeks, so take your time to answer .
Regards,
Dusan.

Please read the forum rules about u r g e n t ...This is an external RFC server program, not a remote enabled ABAP RFC function module as the others seem to be assuming, right?
Is it possible that your DEV and QAS systems only have one application server, but the PROD has many and dedicated one(s) for processing low priority background jobs?
It might be that the target server of your TCP connection is not this BTC instance, and your RFC server is returning the data "locally" - so, into nirvana...
Just guessing, but might be worth checking.
Cheers,

Get interface of RFC function modules in a remote system
Hi,
my goal is to write a report which checks if DDIC structures in two systems fit together when I use RFC`s.
I have the destination and the name of the RFC.
Can somebody tell me if I can get a list of the Importing/Exporting Parameters of this RFC? Maybe even with a typedescribtion?
Thanks for you help.

Data will be updated to 2 slave system using RFC function module .
We've already the SAP address, Client, User name , Password.. of the remote system
So here how we will create RFC in SM59 to be used in the RFC call ?
We will transfer the username, password , client in the RFC function module/..

Call RFC Function Module in R/3 via XI during Mapping
Hi,
I have an XI scenario where I have to fill the IDoc ADRMAS03 in XI and send it to R/3. Unfortunately the sender system does not provide the required address number (ADRNR) for the Business Partner, only the Business Partner number. Therefore I want to call a Function Module in R/3 during the mapping in order to get the ADRNR.
Does anybody know which RFC-Function Module I can call in R/3 4.6c providing the Busness Partner number in order to get the ADRNR?
Thanks.
AlexHi,
no need for RFC lookup it's better to do as he wants
(inside an exit in R3) - just my point of view
BTW
don't use a FM just find a table with both values
and create a select statement youself

Where should i call the rfc function module? in xi or in r/3
where should i call the rfc function module?
for the synch scenario: file < -- > xi <---> rfc
i know the type of rfc is tcp/ip; but i'm not sure with the followings,
and with some trials i can not even see any message via rwb even all the setting
can be activated without errors.
where should i create the rfc destination? in r/3 or xi
where should i call the rfc via abap program? in r/3 or xi
i guess the calling program should belong to the different server with the rfc itself....
so confused....
Thanks for your reply!!
Junif i create the destination in xi point to r/3, then i call the rfc use the destination in r/3 right ?
The call doesnt use the destination in R3. XI has the RFC destination which is just used to connect to the R3 system
but where i need to create the fm via se37? in xi or r/3 ?
In R3

Rfc function module call error
Hi Abaper,
I'm doing upgrade from 4.7 to ecc 6.0 currently and encounter problem in one of the rfc function module that we used. I've tested the connection to destination using sm59 and the connection is successful.
As an information, in the rfc setting, the target system is not Unicode system.
When I test using se37 and put the rfc destination in my function module call, I always encountered system_error exception. There's no issue with this rfc call before in 4.7 system.
Please help me on this. Thank you.
Edited by: Abraham Bukit on Sep 3, 2008 2:36 AMHi,
I had the same issue in the past and solved it in the following way.
If the destination system is not Unicode please try to set the password for the communication user set in SM59 using only upper-case characters and taking into account that the password shouldn't be longer than 8 characters.
Hope this will help. -
RFC Function module is not working in program while Background
Hi All,
we have a one program in BI system which is calling RFC function module. it is executing the program in foreground very well. Same program we have executed in background , it is not working at all. Thiis RFC function module exists in R/3 4.6c system.Hello Raju,
Transactional call of a remote-capable function module specified in func using the RFC interface. You can use the addition DESTINATION to specify an individual destination in dest. If the destination has not been specified, the destination NONE is used implicitly. Character-type data objects are expected for func and dest.
When the transactional call is made, the name of the called function, together with the destination and the actual parameters given in parameter list, are registered for the current SAP LUW in the database tables ARFCSSTATE and ARFCSDATA of the current SAP system under a unique transaction ID (abbreviated as TID, stored in a structure of type ARFCTID from the ABAP Dictionary, view using transaction SM58). Following this registration, the program making the call is continued by way of the statement CALL FUNCTION.
When executing the COMMIT WORK statement, the function modules registered for the current SAP LUW are started in the sequence in which they were registered. The statement ROLLBACK WORKdeletes all previous registrations of the current SAP LUW.
If the specified destination is not available for COMMIT WORK, an executable called RSARFCSE is started in the background. This attempts to start the functional modules registered for an SAP LUW in their destination, every 15 minutes up to a total of 30 times. You can make changes to these parameters using transaction SM59. If the destination does not become available within the given time, this is noted in the database table ARFCSDATA as a CPICERR entry. By default, this entry in database table ARFCSSTATE is deleted after 8 days.
Thanks and Regards,
