  • Batching of multiple IDOCs into 1 IDOC-XML file

    Hi PI experts,
I would like to send all idocs from the same payment run (based on run date & run id) as 1 idoc-xml file to PI.
The number of idocs is variable depending on the payment run.
Is this possible without using ccBPM?
I understand it can be achieved according to /people/stefan.grube/blog/2006/09/18/collecting-idocs-without-using-bpm by using FILE adapter. But I don't want to save the idocs into a file system and the number of records in a file is also fixed.
    Is there other alternative solution?
    Thanks,
    Ken.

    Hi Michal,
Yes, I have seen your blog and also would like to use the IDoc packaging feature which comes with 7.0 EHP1 onwards, but I am not sure whether the IDoc collecting can be based on the payment run date and run id.
The sending of the collected IDocs is based on when the program RSEOUT00 is executed.
If we perform 2 separate payment runs before the RSEOUT00 is executed, would PI receive 2 Idoc-XML files or 1 combined Idoc-XML file. We would like to receive 2 separate XML files.
    Hope you can confirm this.
    Thanks.

  • Splitting multiple IDoc XML files into single IDoc messages for R/3

Hi all. I have a problem splitting IDoc XML files coming in to XI. I currently have an interface that takes in single store sale IDoc transactions (type WPUBON01) in an IDoc XML file. I then have some complex graphical mapping on the IDoc before sending to R/3 via the IDoc adapter. This works fine. However, we now wish to include multiple sales in one file i.e. many WPUBON01 IDocs. I could use message splitting to do this BUT the mapping is so complex, I do not wish to have to change it to enable the processing of many IDocs in one file instead of just one.
What I want to do: have one mapping splitting a multiple IDoc XML file into single IDoc messages and then another taking these single messages as before and performing the mapping. I cannot find a way to do this in one interface; the main problem I'm having is getting XI to split the multiple IDocs into many single IDoc messages within XI itself. I'd be very grateful for any advice on the best way to do this.
    Thankyou.
    Stuart Richards (Halfords, UK)

    Bhavesh,
Thanks again for a clear explanation... I'm moving forwards but still struggling. I've been on this all afternoon today (after a break on other things) and just cannot get my message to split properly (though the SOAP adapter problem I had earlier is now fixed!). If my initial IDoc XML file contains this format:
    <WPUBON01><IDOC>....</IDOC>
                          <IDOC>....</IDOC>
                          <IDOC>....</IDOC></WPUBON01>
.. I'm not sure what the cardinaility on the first message mapping and interface mapping should be. I'd have thought the source interface would be 1 and the target would be 0..unbounded but this isn't working. I'm trying different things but I get different errors each time. Currently, I have the above cardinality in my first interface and I'm passing in the following data:

In the message monitor, I get a chequered flag. Great. However, I get the dreaded error 500 in the SOAP receiver comm channel:
SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 500 Internal Server Error
Exception caught by adapter framework: SOAP Error
Delivery of the message to the application using connection AFW failed, due to: SOAP Error.
Any ideas as to what this might be?! I'm getting there.... if I get a solution out of this, I promise to write the blog myself!

  • IDOC testing: how to upload sample IDOC xml file while outbound IDOCtesting

    Hi experts,
    can any one tell me , how to upload a sample XML idoc xml(data) file while Outbound IDOC testing;
in WE19 tcode ( insted of manually entering the sample data, i have to import the sample XML/text file into the idoc fields). say IDOC is  MATMAS.
    Thanks in advance;

    Hi Asit Purbey,
can you clearly explain, how to upload the file and how can i genetare the IDOC no?
i have seen that function module IDOC_XML_FROM_FILE, in that it is required a port no, what exactly it is, and what type of port is it?
suppose i am having a XML/TEXT file with IDOC data, how can i upload it into the server and how can convert it into the IDOC and how can i generate the IDOC no for outbound testing?

  • Orders IDOC  XML File Size Problem

    Hi,
I am generating an XML through XML port using IDOC. But I am getting on 3 KB XML file, so that a lot of Data is truncated.  How I get the complete XML file.

    Hi Raghu,
have a look at the XLSX file generated by Excel, you'll see that it's simply a zipped file. So you can't do it with a transformation, but you need CL_ABAP_ZIP class. I advise you to look at the abap2xslx project ABAP code (currently 3.0) to see how it works.
    Best regards,

    Hi Chinna,
You can do this in two ways -
    1. Java mapping

  • Query realted to IDOC packaging in case of  IDOC-SAPPI- FILE scenario

    Hi,
I have requirement related to IDOC packaging, i.e. SAP ECC -SAP PI - FTP server.
I have done the following settings:
    1) In WE20, I put the partner profile settings to collect mode.
    2) I am using RSEOUT00 to trigger the collected IDOCs for example 2 idocs together.
    3) In SAP PI, I have done the following settings
    a) I added the the parameter in sxmb-adm, RUNTIME , PACKAGING & Value 1
    b) I have used IDXPW t-code to activate the message packages for IDOC
    c) I run the job through sxmb_adm t-code, configure event driven message filtering
    d) I exported the xsd of ORDERS05 and changed occurence of source structure to 0 to Unbounded and imported it in Integration Repository.
    e) I am not using mapping & interface mapping as I just want to post the IDOC structure as it to the receiving FTP server. Therefore when I changed the occurence of ORDERS05 xsd to 0 to unbounded my idea was that in the outbound message interface it will be reflected which will be ultimately reflected in Integration directory.
    Problem Details:
When I test for the 2 PO idoc from SAP ECC, it generates 2 messages in SAP PI and also 2 files in FTP server but actually it should generate one output file containing both the IDOC details.
Note: I am just trying to merge 2 idocs of PO as IDOC package into one output message.
Can anybody what configuration settings I am missing for the packaging.
    Thanks & Regards
    Prabhat

    Hi Prabhat,
If you are using PI 7.0 EHp1 or PI 7.1 Ehp1, you can configure packaging parameter and create single file for multiple idocs without using BPM.
In other case, you have to use BPM.
But recommended approach would be to create XML file port on SAP ECC and create IDOC XML file.
You must have set collect IDOCs option in partner profile.
Now you can execute RSEOUT00 report program and specify IDOC type and number IDOCs to be collected.
This configuration will generate IDOC XML file for number IDOCs you specified in RSEOUT00 report program.
In PI you can use File adapter to pick the file.
Here is the nice blog explaining entire process:

  • Idoc-xml to Idoc

    Hi,
Sender is a 'party' which generates an Idoc. Some of the fields from this idoc has to be fetched by XI and passed to the receiver R/3 system.
    Requirement :
    Party -
    > Idoc-xml -
    >XI--> Idoc--
    > R/3
(XI - Adapter Sender)      ( IDOC Recevier Adapter)
    1) what are the initial setting to be done in Xi & R/3 systems?
    2) Any authentication details of the party is needed? ( as the XI sender adapter doesn't have many parameters to eneter in comm channel)
Also, here party is an 'R/3 system', who sends the data as an Idoc.
    3) How should i convert the idoc to Idoc-xml?  In other words how would i create my source DT,MT and MI ?
    Appreciate Ur comments,
    Thanks,
    Raggy

    Hi,
    Here are the answers pointwise.
    1) what are the initial setting to be done in Xi & R/3 systems?
Initial settings are Port and partner configuration in both XI and R/3 systems. You have to configure the RFC destication also.
    2) Any authentication details of the party is needed? ( as the XI sender adapter doesn't have many parameters to eneter in comm channel)
Also, here party is an 'R/3 system', who sends the data as an Idoc.
Why are you using XI - adapter???any specific reason?
If party is an R/3 system then you can use IDOC adapter and if not then you can use FILE adapter to pick up the IDOC-XML file.
    3) How should i convert the idoc to Idoc-xml? In other words how would i create my source DT,MT and MI ?
You do not need to convert the idoc to idoc-xml. IDOC adapter will do it automatically.
IDOC will act as a MT and also as a MI.
    Hope it clarifies your doubts.

  • SAP IDOC to IDOC.xml

    Hello All,
I have a scenario where I need to pass IDOC.xml from SAP to Legacy system: we need to pass Customer Master and Material Master to the same server.. I am using same File CC to send the IDOC.xml file to the location....
Is it possible to send the name of the file with respec to IDOC type? Suppose if MATERIAL is sending then Material.xml and if Customer then Customer.xml
How can I achieve it?? I am not using any ESA objects as I am just passing message from SAP IDOC to Legacy IDOC.xml.
    Thanks
    Rajeev

    Hi,
I configured what you mentioend... But I am getting test.xml as I used a dummy interface name and name space as I didnt used any ESA (IR) objects.... I am jsut passing the ECC IDOC.xml to IDOC.xml to legacy applicaiton...
MATMAS01 released from ECC to sap pi.... SAP PI will pass this IDOC to Legacy applicaiton as MATMAS01.xml
DEBMAS01 released from ECC to sap pi.... SAP PI will pass this IDOC to Legacy applicaiton as DEDMAS01.xml
As I am not using any transformations and the format target system needed is idoc.xml .. I am using ID objects to forward the IDOC.xml files..
Please let me know is there any way to dynamically change the file name?
    Thanks

  • IDOC to File, variable substitution on outbound message XML tag attributes

My scenario is IDOC to FILE using XSL mappings. The target format is 2 XML tags (header, line) with the data stored in the attributes of each tag.
    EG. <header attr1=one attr2=two attr3=three><line attr1=one attr2=two /></header>
The name of the file is dictated by an outbound attribute value in the header tag.
Can I get access to it the attribute in the target message in the CC_FILE using variable substution. ?
Currently I am not using content conversion as the XSL produces the file format needed, so I would pefer not to change the outbound message format/structure as this is going to an external party. I would prefer not to change the outbound format as this would need content conversion to strip the unwanted/information/processing node that is used for this purpose (file naming).
The name is a calculation of fields in the IDOC and is not explicit dictated (business logic is applied in the mapping to get the file name), so I would prefer to use the attribute of the resulting XML to keep the "business logic" in the XSL..
Things that cannot be changed.... 1. Must use XSL.for mapping. 2. Format cannot be changed of the outbound message. 3. Would prefer not to involved content conversion to keep formatting/node structure in the XSL mapping.
I have seen some reference to this being possible on the forums but nothing solid from what Ive read.
Something like var1 = payload:/Header/@attr1 in variable sub to get at the attribute
    Any comments ?
    Thanks in advance.
One final piece of info. its on a PI 7.1 system.

I think its best explained by my other thread Link:PI 7.1 Access to Dynamic Configuration through Java Class .
Thanks for the link I have already implemented based on that link but the one crucial difference is that it is implemented using a static method with no reference to the actual object (payload) for Dynamic configuration. It seems that without the 7.0 API which isnt available in 7.1 by default XSL with java extentions is limited to static methods. If you could read the other thread it certainly is possible I'm mistaken.

  • Help in creation of XML file for IDOC postings

    Hi All,
Need help if anyone has knowledge/experience in creating XML files for IDOC processing.
We need to design an input file (in XML format) for creation of IDOCu2019s for purchase Invoices through Interface.
We have an existing input file, which is working correctly.  We are trying to modify this existing input file for a new Tax Code (Non-deductible inverse tax liability).   This tax code is working fine for manual postings.   But, through IDOC, tax postings are not correctly triggering.
Could you please confirm if any one has experience on this, so that I can share more details for resolving.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Srini

    Hello,
you can use CALL TRANSFORMATION id, which will create a exact "print" of the ABAP data into the XML.
If you need to change the structure of XML, you can alter your ABAP structure to match the requirements.
Of course you can create your own XSLT but that is not that easy to describe and nobody will do that for you around here. If you would like to start with XSLT, you´d better start the search.

  • Regarding receiver determination problem in IDOC-XI-XML file scenario

    Dear All ,
In IDOC-XI-xml file scenario , I have configured SLD , IR . But in ID , after file adapter , reciever agreement configuration when I am doing receiver determination configuration I am not able to insert mapping program in configuration overview of receiver determination as I am not getting "New Specific" option in mapping .
Can anybody suggest what could be the reason behind this .
    Thanks in Advance
    Prabhat

    Hi PRabhat,
In RCVR determination, you need to select the party & service (as appropriate) save the obeject
then refresh the configuration overview of recr det.
then you can see the partner/service
then you can open it & add the necessary objects.
    Regards
    Vishnu
