IE embedded debugger error

I'm gettting the following error in my IE embedded debugger during runtime and I'm just wondering if anybody knows how to set up a try catch or finally block or event listener to catch it so i can make actions to compensate for it.....if i press continue on the debugger my script continues without a problem also this happens after a button press. Here is the error.
The NetStream Object is invalid.  This may be due to a failed NetConnection.

Hi,
File>Properties to discover which IE Security zone the sites/domains map to...
to allow an intranet site to access a public internet site you may have to add it manually to the intranet sites list.
eg. say I want to use the w3c validation services from a domain in the intranet or localhost(maps to the internet), then to allow this I have to manually add validator.w3.org to the IE intranet sites list.... this mean that the default intranet zone
setting for xss filtering (is disabled) for both my intranet sites and validator.w3.org . From my intranet zone site I am then allowed to use xss to return the validation reports back from w3c. I would add that I am using the POST method and not the GET
method...
If possible, in your application use the POST instead of GET.
If you are developing this and have not yet published/deployed it to a production web server, you may not be able to properly test it until you have done so and both domains map to the same security zone in IE.
If you are writing a public access website, and you are the developer of both sites, then you can adjust the response headers to allow the domains to allow xss.
If you are trying to use Facebook connect or the equivalent Twitter connect, then you have chosen the wrong technology. Refer to the respective developer api documentation.
What examples and sample code you have supplied us so far leaves some guessing room as to what you actually want to achieve.

  • Debugger error

    Hi,
while debugging a simple application I consistently get a debugger error:
dbx: internal error: byteoff too large in 'set_window'
If I ignore this error the debugger crushes a step later.
I am running Sun Studio 9 on Sun Solaris.
    Any idea why this happends?

Please provide a test case and we'll get a bug filed.
dbx is probably trying to print a variable of some kind, and the type
    information is getting messed up.
the GUI will often automatically "print" variables for you in the "local variables"
window. Sometimes the error message will go away if you close that window.
That way the GUI doesn't print those values out. This is only a workaround though.
Please give more information so we can file a bug.

  • Visual Studio Just-In-Time Debugger error "An unhandled win32 exception occurred in AcroRd32.exe [31

I installed Reader X and when I tried opening it, I received a Visual Studio Just-in-time Debugger error "An unhandled win32 exception occurred in AcroRd32.exe [3116].  I uninstalled, rebooted and tried reinstalling and received the same error.
I tried disabling the just in time debugger mentioned in http://www.programmerfish.com/disable-visual-studio-just-in-time-debugger/ and received the error "An unhandled win32 exception occurred in AcroRd32.exe [4080].  Just-in-time debugging this exception failed with the following error:  No installed debugger has just-in-time debugging enabled.  In Visual Studio, Just-in-time debugging can be enabled.....
I do have Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 installed.
    Any ideas?

We discovered that Reader X users that had an older version of PGP installed received this error. We implemented a registry change on these devices which resolved the issued. PGP recognized it was an incompatibility issue on their end, and supposedly, with the newer version of PGP it will be resolved.  In order to resolve this, try using Adobe Readers whitelisting feature.  Below are the steps to follow:
      i.   Add a registry entry enabling the use of whitelisting:
           [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\10.0\FeatureLockDown]
           "bUseWhitelistConfigFile"=dword:00000001
ii.  Create a whitelist file called "ProtectedModeWhitelistConfig.txt" and place it
in the Adobe Reader executable path i.e. C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 10.0\Reader
iii. The ProtectedModeWhitelistConfig.txt file will need to contain the string
           SECTION_ALLOW_ANY = *PGPhk*

  • Error from debugger: Error launching remote program: security policy error

    Hi all,
I bought yesterday the license for Iphone Developer, I'm programming
an app and would like to start testing it on my iPhone (EDGE, OS 2.1).
I'm using osx 10.5.5 on a MacBookPro, and latest SDK. Developing
and testing on simulator is ok, I followed all the procedure for requesting
certificates, downloading them, the provisioning file and dragged on
Xcode, I can see the iPhone with my provision name enabled for developing
in the Organizer view, and I followed instructions to configure Xcode to develop
on my device changing relevant options in the targets as explained online.
When I try to develop on device I get all the process, file is transferred
on device, but when launching I receive the error
Error from debugger: Error launching remote program: security policy error
Also when I try to launch the app from the phone it says there was
an error and it's not possible to lauch the app. Is that an error in my
steps configuring Xcode or is it something else?
    Thanks,
    Giancarlo

Never mind, I found it out, if you follow the exact guideline of apple, you will... get this error always
What you need is to make sure you have filled out the proper fields such as your bundle ID, although apple says it's auto-filled, it's not, in my case. you will need to change it from 'com.yourcompany....' to the one you set up on iphone dev site, such as 'com.toughgamer.testApp' in my case.

  • Installing Latest Firefox on Windows XP Embedded gives error: "This application has failed to start because pdh.dll was not found"

I'm trying to install the latest (standards-based) browser I can on on old Windows XP Embedded computer. The computer's hardware does not meet the "Recommended Hardware" of a Pentium 4 (it has a P3). I initially tried installing/running Firefox version 28, and that seemed to work fine. Version 36 gives the error I stated in the question. It's not paramount that I run the *latest* version of Firefox (the browser is ONLY used for an intranet application), but I'd like to install the latest version that will run, and if there's a simple fix for this version, I'd like to explore that.
    Regards,
    Gerrat

Well, I was pretty sure it didn't have malware. It was running a steady state - like program & we have dozens of these on our network (but not on our domain). We have a corporate anti-virus (Sophos) running on all the computers on our domain, and there are no notifications of anything suspicious coming from these units.
Just to be sure I installed and ran an antivirus scan against it though - as suspected, nothing suspicious found.
As I mentioned, FF 28 runs fine, it's just the latest (36.0) that doesn't run (I haven't tested any versions in between). Either seems to install without hitch, but when the latest version is run, it gives the error about the missing dll.

  • Possible workaround for: Launch Debugger Error "Unable to connect to the RDS server"

I do not yet have a reproducible case for this. *Sometimes* ColdFusion Builder throws the "Unable to connect to the RDS server" error, when attempting to start a debug session against a remote server. However, "RDS Dataview" and "RDS Fileview" views correctly list the servers and their related data/file, and testing RDS connection result is "Test connection was successful". The workaround is:
    1. Login to the ColdFusion Administrator
    2. Navigate to "Debugger Settings" page (beneath "Debugging & Logging")
    3. Click on "Stop Debugger Server" -or- "Restart Debugger Server"
    4. Restart ColdFusion Application Server
    Notes:
    a) Step #3 must be done via ColdFusion Administrator, not via ColdFusion Admin API (stopLineDebugger()|restartLineDebugger())
    b) Step #4 can be done via ColdFusion Administrator -or- ColdFusion Builder
    c) Note that there is a CF9 Release Note for Bug #78488: "When a server having "Windows service option" ENABLED is added as a remote server, then Start-Stop-Restart operation cannot be done on it."  However, I've found that "Restarting" a remote server, that is running as a Windows service, is possible in ColdFusion Builder (at least this is so on standalone developer edition).  Like Bug #78488 says, I am unable to "Stop|Start" a remote server that is running as a Windows service. I'm just mentioning all of this, due to my suggestion in "b", that CF can also be restarted via ColdFusion Builder.
It is interesting that attempts to stop|restart the debugger server, via CF Admin API, do not resolve the issue. So, it seems that the "Stop Debugger Server" and "Restart Debugger Server" buttons, in CF Admin, are doing more than calling the corresponding CF Admin API methods.
Attached is an image of the error.
Just posting all of this as an FYI, in case it helps anyone.
    Thanks!,
    -Aaron Neff
(OH.. I'm unable to attach images at this time *DOH!* ..well, I'll try to remember to update this post w/ the image, once I see that attachments are allowed.)
I'll try to describe the error message window:
    - It is 494x452 pixels
    - Title of the window is "Error occurred while launching the Debugger"
    - Body content of the window is as follows:
Unable to connect to the RDS server 'ServerNameHere'
Ensure that the server is currently running and that line debugging and RDS are enabled. You may also need to check your RDS connection settings in Eclipse to ensure that they are correct.
    Error Message:
-1:Error connecting to JVM for debugging at localhost:5005. Could not attach to the VM at port 5005. You must specify this debugger port in the JVM settings of your application server, for example: -Xdebug -Xrunjdwp:transport=dt_socket,server=y,suspend=n,address=5005. You will also need to make sure that another debugger is not currently connected to the CF JVM at the same port (5005).

  • Embedded font errors after migrating pdfs to new web server

    Hi All,
After hundreds of working pdfs were moved to new web server, they produce variations of the "cannot extract the embedded font" (name of font) "some characters may not display or print correctly" error. The first page loads perfectly and the rest never load. All these files open fine when I open local copies in Reader (9.1.3) and Professional (7.1.0).They also open fine when moved to another server. When I delete copies on the server and re-upload using the working copies, the errors persist. Doesn't make sense. I also occasionally get the error "there were problems reading this document (14)".
I was told by the IT department that a possible cause was that the new server environment used fonts installed on the server rather than the local machine to display pdfs.  This doesn't make sense to me.  I've researched these errors and haven't found anything applicable or that has worked. Any suggestions? Has anyone else expeienced this?
The server is IIS and is running ASP.net. The IT dudes are saying they need to install all the refferenced fonts on the web server but due to the expense of this, they can't.This will nessecitate a really bizzarre and Rube Goldbergesque workaround (that I'm not even going to try to explain here) that I'd really like to avoid.  Any suggestions? Are there any Acrobat settings that need to be twekaed?

    Hi,
I read the following on another discussion in this forum:
it appears that with the shortkey ctrl+shift+Y you can force the pc to work around the system fonts
    Maybe that helps.

  • Get the "cannot extract embedded fonts" error message

I get the "Cannot extract embedded font 'UZNVZW+HElveticaNeueLTStd-Hv-Identity-H'. Some characters may not display or print correctly." error message when I generate a PDF from MadCap Flare or Frame Maker. I am on Windows 8 64-bit / Adobe Acrobat 11 / FrameMaker 9 / MAdCap Flare 9.
When I do the same task on a Windows 7 system, works like a whistle.
I am looking at a solution and no workarounds.

There is a bug in Oracle with Fedora.
If u want your oracle works, you'll have to set LANG variable to NULL
    unset LANG
    Now all works

  • ACPIEC Embedded Controller error in Event Viewer on XP Partition

So, when in my XP (SP2) partittion I recently started to get hangs when I try to put the system to stand by/hybernation at the blue "preparing to go into Stand by..." screen. It just sits there, locks up and I end up having to reboot. In the XP's Event Viewer I see this ACPIEC error and that seems to be related to the BIOS. But, as we know, I am on a Mac so there is no "BIOS".
It says "The embedded controller (EC) hardware didn't respond within the timeout period. This may indicate an error in the EC hardware or firmware, or possibly a poorly designed BIOS which accesses the EC in an unsafe manner. The EC driver will retry the failed transaction if possible."
So, that is the only error I consistently see in the Event Viewer so I assume it is related, but if I am on a Mac and have no "BIOS" or "EC" how can I source this issue out in XP given it is a partition on my Mac?

Error: The embedded LDAP Configuration file: fileName was not found and the embedded LDAP server has not been started. To resolve the problem, ensure that weblogic.home is defined correctly (it should have a lib subdirectory that contains this file).
    Description
The lib directory contains the configuration files required for the embedded LDAP server. If those files are missing or the appropriate directory cannot be found, then the embedded LDAP server cannot initialize.
    Cause
The embedded LDAP server cannot find the specified file. This file is installed as part of the installation process. Most likely, the default directory is not the server root directory and the lib subdirectory cannot be found.
    Action
Set the default directory to the server root directory or set the location of the embedded LDAP server configuration files via the weblogic.EmbeddedLDAPConfigDirectory system property.
As suggested in the Action plan for error code 171500,try setting up EmbeddedLDAPConfigDirectory system property in the server start-up script or in setDomainEnv.sh script.
You can set the same as JAVA_OPTIONS in the script.
    e.g.
    JAVA_OPTIONS="-Dweblogic.EmbeddedLDAPConfigDirectory=/home/mwhome1/wlserver_10.3/server/lib ${JAVA_OPTIONS}"
    export JAVA_OPTIONS
    Hope this helps!!

    hi,
you will need to insstall flash player 10 debug version. You are facing
this problem because current version of flash player installed on your
system is not The Debug version . If you have the debug version then you
browser cant find it .so solution will be to install flash player for both
IE and firefox and check which one of them has debug version working.
    http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
download the debug version according to your requirement . this page
contains both debug versions for netscape and IE so should install both of
them if in case you need to switch for testing to different browser.Altough
your problem can also be solved by selecting  different default browser from
flex builder in which debug version is installed and working.

  • Flex Debugger Error (fdb)

    Hi All,
I've been trying to run the flex3 SDK command line debugger
with no success (a frozen cmd prompt on one attempt). I'm running
this by double-clicking on the fdb file, and typing '
    RUN
    path to my debug swf'.
The error message it's returning makes little sense to me:
    Cannot run program "C:\swishsoft\Swift Optimizer\swiftplayer.exe
%1": CreateProcess error=3, The system cannot find the path
    specified'
A while back I installed Swift Optimizer on my system, but
deleted it quickly as, frankly, it sucks big time. Just seems
strange that the Flex debugger has mentioned this file (unless
Swift Optimizer has changed something, somewhere that fdb is
    reading?).
Can anybody shed any light on this oddity, or - more likely -
    what I'm doing wrong?
    Thanks!!

Okay, figured out a solution to this fdb issue:
Swishsoft, with their useless swf optimizer, make 3
significant changes to your computer's registry, indicating that
their useless swf optimizer is the default JAR Launcher, creating
conflicts with fdb's attempts to launch your debug swf file.
I deleted all 3 entries in the registry (2 of them reverted
back to their default state), and now fdb works as it was designed
    to. Problem solved :)
NOTE: Modifying your computer's registry could render your
    computer kaput. Tinker carefully ;)
