IExpenses OAF page - controller ext issue

Hi,
We are extending the controller of iExpense Page - “Update Expense Report: General Information”, “GeneralInformationPG”.
The extended controller is displaying the message along with the extended controller name as below:
oapagecontext.writeDiagnostics(strClassName, "Inside Extended controller - XxcfiHeaderCOEx ",OAFwkConstants.STATEMENT);
Page: GeneralInformationPG
Standard CO: HeaderCO
Extended CO: XxcfiHeaderCOEx
But we couldn’t see the extended controller information on the page when we enable the diagnostics.
We could see the extended controller information using the below command from BE:
begin
jdr_utils.printdocument('/oracle/apps/ap/oie/entry/header/webui/customizations/site/0/GeneralInformationPG');
end;
Kindly provide your inputs on the same to resolve the issue.
Regards,
Asha

  • IExpenses-12.1.3 Facing Issue with 2 custom text fields on the standard OAF

    Dear All,
    We are facing problem where custom text fields on standard OAF page does not retain their values when we traverse back-forth on the OAF page.
    Here is the exact issue details
    1) We added 2 text fields(Attribute5 and Attribute6) through personalization on Mileage Line Details Screen(standard OAF page) of iExpenses 12.1.3.
    2) And business requirement is whenever user enters values into these fields, difference of these values is populated in third field which is standard field on that page.
    Issue
    When user enters values into above 2 fields, difference is calculated correctly however once he clicks on return page and comes back again on the detail page
    then all the standard fields retain their values but 2 custom fields have blank value.
    Is there any issue with personalization? or any other issue? Please suggest.
    Thanks,
    Mahesh

    Thanks Pratap for checking
    There is button named as "Calculate Amount" on the line details page so it is happening in below 2 scenario
    1) When User enters values in 2 fields and clicks on Calculate Amount Button then values get disappeared from custom fields
    2) When user clicks on return button, go to main page and clicks on detail button ( to come back on same line) then all the standard fields have valuece and custom one's disappeared.
    Thanks,
    Mahesh

  • Hide a column (Includes Tax) on iExpense (create expense report) OAF Page .

    Hi All,
    I am having small issue and I have never worked on OAF before. I have a requirement where I need to hide a column on OAF page.
    When logged into iExpense home page, and click Create Expense Report
    1.     Log into iExpenses in Oracle Applications.
         (N) iExpenses > Expenses
    2.     In the Shortcuts below the Expenses Home tab, click Create Expense Report.
    3.     Enter the general information in the respective fields, such as purpose, expense cost center, approver, reimbursement currency, and expense template. Indicate if you have foreign currency receipts.
    4.     Click Next.
    5.     Enter the expense information: date, receipt amount, expense type, justification, and details.
    In the above page, one Check box option called (Includes Tax) column is there. I need to Hide this column from that page and that too only for a particular ORG.
    The main reason behind this is, that checkbox is always checked and users sometimes while creating expense report, unchecking that checkbox which is creating some problems in the tax side calculations.
    Any idea of how we can chieve this.
    Help Appreciated.
    Thanks

    If you are on the personalization page, you should be able to the page structure. It will all the page components. Find your relevant table, expand it and personalize the column you need to hide.

  • Issue with messagedownload field on custom OAF page

    We have a custom OAF page where we are displaying file attachments using messagedownload field.
    We have a VO for this field where we are fetching the file name and file (BLOB).
    For the message download field, the properties are set as:
    DataType: VARCHAR2
    View Instance: custom vo
    View attribute: filename
    File View Attribute: filedata(BLOB column)
    The issue is when we have multiple files to display of the same file type like 6 pdf files, the file name is correct, but the content is correct only for the first file. The remaining 5 files also show the content of the first file though the filename is correct.
    Please let us know if anyone faced similar issue and the probable solution.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Kiranmayi.

    Check that the view object used to render the table must have a designated primary key, else download bean will download content from the first row every time.

  • Extending Controller for a std OAF page

    Hi,
    I have a requirment to extend the CO of a std OAF page.
    The requirement is,On click of a submit button (Apply) invoke a custom method before the std code gets executed
    To achieve the same I will use personalization and extend the standard CO and override PFR as follows
    CustomCO extends StdCO
    public void PR()
    super.PR(); ----do I need to invoke super here?
    public void PFR()
    super.PFR();-----------A
    if( Apply button clicked)
    invoke custom code()
    super.PFR(); -----------B
    My question is
    1) Can i copy the part std CO code(using decompiler) in my custom CO (i guess not a good practice)
    2) Instead of 1) above can i invoke super as shown in B(in the code above)?
    3) If i invoke super after my custom code in the if loop can I remove super pointed as A (in the code above)? Will it harm the std functionality?
    Thanks,
    kamath.

    I agree with you, Tapash .... there might be a few cases where you might want to call seeded code first. But, the point I wanted to stress is for a submitButton, mostly the seeded controller will redirect to currentpage or any other page (depending on logic) in its code. So if you are extending the functionality of it, it becomes necessary to call ur custom code first. If you still want the seeded code to be executed first, then you might have to decompile the class file, paste the complete code in custom controller and insert your custom logic whereever you feel is appropriate.
    And Senthil's suggestion also shows calling super method after custom code ... so we are all on same page :-)

  • Issue in Accessing OAF Page in Oracle Apps

    I am facing a strange issue while accessing OAF pages from a responsibility. I have a OAF page which is attached to a responsibility through a menu-function. When I click the menu, it opens the page in a new window properly, but if I click the menu again it opens the page ontop of the existing page (which was opened previously). Is there any setup in IE to fix this? Ideally the page should be opened in a new window everytime I click the menu.
    Any pointers on this would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Shree

    If all of the users are using the same responsibility and the issue happens only for some users, you can determine what profile options have been set for the user for which this works by using scripts in MOS Docs 367926.1 (How To Find All Users With A Particular Profile Option Set?) and 282382.1 (How to Search all of the Profile Options for a Specific Value). You may need to modify these scripts to suit your needs.

  • LOV Auto Refresh Issue - OAF Page

    Hi,
    Currently we are facing one issue with one OAF page.
    We have one LOV in the page. Currently it is fetching the details as per the VO SELECT query associated with it and no issues in the query part.
    But, if you try to update the tables which are associated to the above VO query, the updated results are not showing in the LOV even after re-login also.
    One interesing thing is, we are able to get the updated results in the LOV once the server is bounced. Can any one pls let me know how to get this resolved and we are expecting this updated results needs to picked by LOV without bouncing the server.
    Best Regards,
    Hari

    Hi Ankul,
    We have already tried the approach which you have suggested. But still that did not worked.

  • Customized OAF page -- Duplicates Issue

    Hi All,
    We have a customized OAF page which allows user to perform the below operations,
    1. Query for records
    2. Add a new row
    3. Save the changes
    Issue is 3 of the fields in the page are of unique combination. We perform the validation to ensure unique values only get stored, if user tries to enter an value combination which already exists then system throws an error. But when user enters valid records and save it, the previously entered wrong data also gets stored to database.
    I have explained the scenario below, Item id/global code/local code are the unique combination fields
    1. User enters below values
    ITEM ID GLOBALCode LocalCode Desc
    IT123 100 100 T1
    Saved successfully.
    2. User now enters below values
    ITEM ID GLOBALCode LocalCode Desc
    IT123 100 100 T2
    When tries to save, get error message as Combination already exist. If i search for item id IT123 and Global code 100 it shows only 1 row
    3. User now enters below values
    ITEM ID GLOBALCode LocalCode Desc
    IT123 100 101 T3
    Saves the data successfully. But if i search for item id IT123 and global code 100 i am getting 3 rows as below,
    ITEM ID GLOBALCode LocalCode Desc
    IT123 100 100 T1
    IT123 100 100 T2
    IT123 100 101 T3
    Errored out record in step 2 also got inserted. Please assist if any of you have faced similar issue else provide some pointers in resolving the issue.
    Thanks,
    Rajesh SM.

    Hi Sreekanth;
    Change your output type from PDF to HTML. Then it will give you clear error message in HTML page after fixing it if you able to see/run report fine in HTML then change your output type back to PDF.

  • Throwing Error on the OAF Page

    Hi All,
    I have a requirement to throw an error message in the OAF page.
    I have added a new region in the standard OAF page. In that region controller, am checking one condition. If that condition fails i have to throw an error message in the OAF page.

    Hi Sushant,
    I have created a custom region and attached that into a standard page. Now am trying to throw the error message in the standard page from the region controller.
    I tried all the following ways, In this if condition is true this should throw the error message.
    try
    if( a3 != "-1" && lineflag[a].equalsIgnoreCase("Y"))
    throw new OAException("EGO","XXAT_FILE_ALREADY_EXIST",null,OAException.ERROR,null);
    catch(Exception e)
    Context.writeDiagnostics(this," Exception in enabling error message : ",OAFwkConstants.STATEMENT);
    try
    if( a3 != "-1" && lineflag[a].equalsIgnoreCase("Y"))
    OAException oaexception = new OAException("EGO","XXAT_FILE_ALREADY_EXIST",null,OAException.ERROR,null);
    pageContext.putDialogMessage(oaexception);
    catch(Exception e)
    Context.writeDiagnostics(this," Exception in enabling error message : ",OAFwkConstants.STATEMENT);
    if( a3 != "-1" && lineflag[a].equalsIgnoreCase("Y"))
    String errorMessage = "This file already exists as a pending attachment";
    throw new OAException(errorMessage,OAException.ERROR);
    Kind Regards,

  • How to hide drilldown field from a OAF page.

    Hi,
    I have a requirement to hide few drilldown fields from one of the seeded OAF page. through personalization I am able to hide all the fields except the drilldown fields. Can anyone tell me why I cannot hide a drilldown field using personalization. Is there any other way to achieve it other then extending the controller.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Adding a new of style Flex in a OAF Page

    Hi,
    I am facing an issue while creating a new item of style flex in a OAF page.I am able to add the flex by extending the controller but its displaying twice in the page means at the region level as well as in Page level
    If i comment the line-->oawebbean.addIndexedChild(GivBean); then its not displaying anywhere in the page
    Here is the code that i am using
    public class Class2 extends ByrAddrCO {
    public void processRequest(OAPageContext oapagecontext, OAWebBean oawebbean)
    super.processRequest(oapagecontext, oawebbean);
    OAMessageComponentLayoutBean msgCompLayout = (OAMessageComponentLayoutBean)oawebbean.findChildRecursive("Addr411RN");
    if(msgCompLayout != null)
    OAMessageLayoutBean GivBean = (OAMessageLayoutBean)createWebBean(oapagecontext,MESSAGE_LAYOUT_BEAN, null, "DFFMSG");
    GivBean.setRendered(true);
    OADescriptiveFlexBean GivFlex = (OADescriptiveFlexBean)createWebBean(oapagecontext,DESCRIPTIVE_FLEX_BEAN,null,"DescFF");
    GivFlex.setContextListRendered(false);
    GivFlex.setAttributeValue(OAWebBeanConstants.VIEW_USAGE_NAME,"SitesVO");
    GivFlex.setAttributeValue(OAWebBeanConstants.FLEXFIELD_APPLICATION_SHORT_NAME, "SQLAP");
    GivFlex.setAttributeValue(OAWebBeanConstants.REGION_APPLICATION_ID,new Integer(0));
    GivFlex.setAttributeValue(OAWebBeanConstants.FLEXFIELD_NAME, "Site Address");
    GivFlex.setAttributeValue(OAWebBeanConstants.PROMPT_ATTR,"GIV Intransit Reporting");
    GivBean.addIndexedChild(GivFlex);
    GivFlex.setRendered(true);
    msgCompLayout.addIndexedChild(GivBean);
    oawebbean.addIndexedChild(GivBean);
    Please provide the inputs how can i able to display the flex only at the region level.
    Thanks in Advance!

    Thanks for your response!
    Yes..adding twice in the page
    But if we comment msgCompLayout.addIndexedChild(GivBean); and uncomment oawebbean.addIndexedChild(GivBean);-->then its adding at the end of the page this is fine
    and if i comment oawebbean.addIndexedChild(GivBean); and uncomment msgCompLayout.addIndexedChild(GivBean); -->then its not displaying any flex in the region level as well as in the page level
    Is any statement i have missed out here please suggest.
    Thanks in Advance!

  • Iexpenses search page - Expense report number li

    The standard Iexpenses search page has the following layout in the PG xml file for expense report number.
    Its a message styled text item - ReportNumberEnabled, which has no fireaction/firepartialaction against it, and a destination property is provided.
    In the UI, it appears as a link and when user clicks on the link, it shows details related to the expense report.
    I need to extend the page controller, handle the link click event in PFR and perform some validations.
    Since the item is not a link and there is no action assigned to it, how do I handle the link click event.
    Thanks,
    Arun..

    OAF no api as such for this kind of customization. Rather try developing some web service or something similar which can be invoked from the custom link to do the job.
