If I use an app to remove duplicate pix does the app read content or only the file name such as IMG. I have some 2500 pix and the thought of trawling thru them toremove duplicates is mind numbing.
If the apps read the content then I am ok about that but if they only read the file name ... they maybe deleting stuff that isnt really a duplicate

You have to contact with the developer of the application. We do not know which app you are referring to and we do not know how that application works, but all apps of that type are supposed to delete duplicate files with the same format (like IMG, JPG...)

The normal suggestions.
Close the app,off fully. Double tap the home screen then touch and hold any of the icons on the task bar until they jiggle, then close them all off by touching the - sign.
Then reboot the pad and try the spp again. If same issue, delete the app, then reload it. ( no charge). You may just have a bad copy. If continues, write to the developer, they may need to do an update. I have an older version of the same app and it works fine.
Since yours is the ad supported version, they are maing real sure you see the ad. Is it as simple as you need to click thru the ad to get to the game?

Best app to remove duplicates from iTunes 2014

Hi All,
I've been trying to research the best application to sort and remove duplicates from my iTunes library. I have over 7000 songs and iTunes built in duplicate finder doesn't look at the track fingerprint, which is useful for those songs which are labelled "Track_1" etc.
Has anyone reviewed any recent products? I was looking at TuneUp, but after reading so many negative comments, I've decided not to go down that path. I would prefer a program that did most of the work for me, due to the amount of songs. Happy to pay for a good product...
I do have MusicBrainz Picard, which has done a great job of tagging, but don't remove duplicates.

Tune up is a great app. When they moved from version 2 to version 3 is when it went to crap and all heck broke loose. They shut their doors but they have since re opened and went back to developing version 2. I use that version and I am pretty happy with it as being an overall cleanup utility. I also use Musicbrainz and a couple of other utilities but in the end if you have an enormous library 20k plus then you are going to have a few slip through. I would probably go with Tuneup if I were you and a thorough third party duplicate finder. Dupe Guru's music edition seems to do a pretty good job.

How do I duplicate a spreadsheet, then delete all content without losing the formatting?

I am using numbers to do my accounting for my business. I have created a spreadsheet with pre-formatted columns which is proving VERY useful. I have a drop-down list of "suppliers" which I will add to each month but the problem I have is that when I try and duplicate the spreadsheet (ready to start scratch for next months accounts) I'm struggling to delete all the data from the spreadsheet WITHOUT losing the formatting.
Any help is appreciated.

I'd suggest using a two template (or template plus document) approach.
The template would include the message "Paste POP-UP Here. Fill down" in the top cell of the Suppliers column.
The second template (or regular document) contains the current version of the pop-up menu cell.
Open both,
in the single cell document, select and edit the pop-up menu to include the added suppliers. When done, select the cell and Copy.
Switch to the document produced by the main template. Select the cell with the message (and the rest of the column below that cell) and Paste.
You now have an empty spreadsheet with pop-up containing the current supplier list.
If you add a supplier in mid month, you can add that supplier to the pop-up menu in the current row of the document, and Fill the edited menu down from there.
At the end of the month, if you have made additions to the menu list, select and copy a cell containing the most recent version, switch to the single cell document, select that cell and Paste. This updates the single cell to contain the current version of the pop-up menu, ready to be pasted into the next month's document.

PS: On re-readiing this, I'd also consider skipping the production and saving of the one cell document. The most current version of the pop-up menu will be the one at the bottom of the Suppliers column of the month just ending. That cell can be copied, pasted into the top cell of the column in the new month's table/document, then reset to the 'no entry' item, then filled down the column.

Does sort the Phonto App in IOS 5 only according file name ?

After updating to IOS 5 on my iPad 1 I´m wondering about the new sorting order in my Photo App folders. Reading some hints on the Apple homepage, that the iPAd is sorting according the capture time I changed file date and capture date to the correct date. But no other sorting order was after syncing. Only alpabetical renaming of the pictures can view my photos on the iPad in the correct order.
Any help or the same problems ?

You can't use a mouse with a touch pad like the iPad.

I cannot use my iPad. The screen is black with only the circulating dowmnloading symbol showing and I cannot switch it off to re-boot. If I try to connect to iTunes it says it could not connect because o an unknown error 0xE80000065, but I can't turn it

It presents a black blank screen with just the circulating symbol in the middle.
I cannot turn if off or on to re-boot it as the on-off swith does not respond, neither does the press button on the bottom edge of the pad.
I have tried to connect it to iTunes but my computer (running Windows Vista) shows an error message 0xE8ooooo65.
Previous to this complete shut-down I had successfully connected to iTunes and tried to download the new 4.3.3 (?) Update.
This showed it would take four hours ! So it was left to do just that.
However it then went back after thfour hours it said it was backing up my files, but then shutdown.
Can anyone help?

I just installed yosemite on my mcb pro mid 2012 and installed win8.1 with bootcamp. now i have the problem, when i'm using windows i don't see my mac partition in the "computer" window. there is only the "bootcamp (c;) partition? what's the problem?

i just installed yosemite on my mcb pro mid 2012 with a clean install. so i only had the new os x yosemite running on my mac. everything went perfect. than i installed win8.1 with the bootcamp assistant and also everything went perfect.
But here's the Problem:
When i'm using Windows 8.1 and i go to the "Computer" window where i can find my hdd partition "Bootcamp (c;) there is only this Partition. the mac Partition is missing.
so i am not able to read the files on my mac Partition.
Before i installed yosemite and win8.1, i was running mavericks and win7 on my macbook pro and i haven't had this Problem. i was able to see and read my mac Partition also on Windows 8.1???
is there any solution for this Problem???

I don't have many files, or many large applications on my MacBook Pro. 13'' with a 320 gb hard drive. However, Activity Monitor says I'm using almost half of it. What can I do to clean out the hard drive and keep only the files that I actually use?

I'm curious if there's a "defragging" or "cleaning" service available from Apple that I can use to take back some of my hard drive space.

ITunes shows duplicates of about 35 songs when there's only one file...

In my library everytime I add a folder to the Library it shows duplicates of certain songs and it won't let me send one copy to the trash. Everytime I go to add more songs they all show up again, which is really frustrating because I'm trying to organise my library...any ideas n what to do?

You may create a rectangle the size of the artwork and Object>Crop Area>Make, then Save for Web.
