My 4th Gen iPod Touch was stolen out of my car mid-October during a trip to Daytona Beach, and this today at 6:36AM Colorado time, I recieved an iTunes receipt for an app called 'TurboScan' because yeah man that is some serious hardcore theif stuff, gotta convert those documents. I like to imgaine this guy as a very punctional and logical theif, as so far that is all the personality ques he has displayed. Upon reading this receipt email it became clear that it was not me obviously, beause I had been spending the past few weeks driving in a shamfully silent car due to lack of an iPod, I am also stupid because it skipped my mind to do anything about my stolen device. Now of course, with the scar of a $1.99 app on my conscious I ran to my computer and changed the password of my Apple Account. Then switched the credit card details to 'None' and kicked the iPod off my account's associated device list. When there I discovered yet another app purchase for this morning that I hadn't been notified of yet but no worries because I am sure I'll be seeing that email soon, the app was $6.99 and is called N.O.V.A. 3 - Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance, which I'll admit sounds pretty darn cool so I wasted no time in googling it. I think if I still had my iPod I would purchase and play this app, so I'm not as stung about it as I should have been and started to think that maybe when I secured a crappy job at Gamestop to replace my stolen iPod, that the theif and I could link up and maybe play co-op mode together sometime.
My only question is, since I lack real accsess to my iPod (it was stolen remember), does changing my Apple account information via itunes and blahblahblah from home remove it/change it on my iPod as well? I'm not really interested in getting my device back as we had a good three year run, and the kid who broke into my car probably is enjoying it more than I ever did, since he was so gunhoe to get ahold of it. I also needed an excuse to upgrade anyways and this is pretty convient for that. I'm also not interested in talking to Apple's amazing phone line because I hate them. I would rather swallow the two purchases of $1.99 and $6.99 than speak on the phone with Apple. I also don't want to cancel the credit card because that is actually kind of a big deal, I'm kind of using it, needing to use it. I'm a very card invested student and canceling it would really make my week and by making it I mean of course ******** on it and feeding it to a large imposing dragon.
What I suppose I want to hear is, "Yeah man, changing your Apple ID information changes it everywhere. As soon as that dumb nerd hits some wifi and tries to download another thaaang your lack of credit card and new password will stop him in his sweaty little socks. Also, nice note you left him in place of your name that was very creative." Where I will then say, "thank you friend." and we can move on from this pivotal learning point.
Yes, changing your iTunes account/Apple ID password should prevent purchases on the iPod. Note that sometimes Apple will not send a receipt for a day or so after a purchase.
In any event, I would contact iTunes and make sure you account can't be used any longer with the old password

I tracked down the problem with the download and installation, my windows 7 was missing a file and after reinstalling windows everything worked out. The first 32 bit program in their list was used. I hope this can help others.

Hopefully someone can help.... I have an Iphone 5 and want to create a music video playlist on my phone so then i can play through my apple tv... but when i make a playlist in itunes and try to add it over to my iphone it wont let me sync the playlist...? I have already added the music videos to my iphone so that is not the problem.... i cant seem to figure out how to make a playlist for them... IE: to make the videos play consecutively in the order i want without stopping after each video and gong back to the list.... this is what i have had to resort to make it work....what i want to do....is be able to make a playlist of videos on my iphone 5....take my apple tv to friends houses and with wifi....set up apple tv and play videos at the party and not have to stand by with the remote and find a new video to play stopping the music between the songs/videos....very annoying....and have spent over 4 hours one day and an hour and a half today on the phone today with a sr. advisor with apple and they have no clue.... this seems sooooo simple.... please somebody that really knows how to do this....i will be indebted forever...............

Hi, I'm new at this but I am hoping someone can help me.I have recently been away for 5 weeks and my Tom Tom required updating.When I clicked to update it, it required a pc. As I didn't have access to a pc it wouldn't work is there any way to do this without a pc? I was without this app for 3 weeks! Thanks, Lea
The process to update your Tom Tom is a big data file, you will need to be connected to a Wi-Fi network for it to download. If will take about an hour.

My question is to anyone that can help..I downloaded 2-300 photos on my iPad and want to reload a few hundred more. The last time I did this I lost the first batch of photos I loaded a week before. How do I just add without losing what is already on iPad?
You need to add the new photos to the ones that are currently on the iPad and (re-)sync them all - only the most recent photo sync remains on the iPad, not including photos in a subsequent sync is how you delete them from the iPad (as you've found out).
You can use third-party apps such as Simple Transfer which can copy photos to the Photos app via your wifi network, but they will only go into the Saved Photos/Camera Roll album, and not into a 'proper' album. -

If you jailbreak your ipod touch and crack the screen will the warrenty still work? Also, would the warrenty fix the screen? Would it cost money? Its a 5th gen.
Once you jail break Apple won't help with the machine. I'm not even sure if they'll honor an 'out of warranty' replacement.

Can you save your own theme and button set up, so I can use this same format for similar content. I want to keep the button content and the theme the same without having to create it everytime? I am trying to streamline the process for multiple dvd's with the same menu and buttons but different content. Does that make sense?
I am only new to this caper too, but I am pretty sure you can save a theme as a favourite by pressing the "save theme as favourite" button under file. If you have edited an existing theme but don't want to lose it, make sure you untick the replace existing button.

In Premiere Element 9, how do you save your favorite "transitions" and or "effects" to a folder like all the Premiere Element versions, theres no right clicking.
Does anyone know if the Panasonic HDC-tm700 1080/60p would work in version 9 ?As you can see from this discussion from Muvipix.com, that camcorder does have some challenges.

In 60p mode, it uses a proprietary system that most third-party editors, including Premiere Elements, have problems with.
Using the software that came with the camcorder to convert it to 60i seems to make it compatible.
I'm not sure why Panasonic decided to make its video format non-standard. But it looks like the easiest solution is to edit that 60p video pretty much only with the software they give you with the camcorder.
