Hi,
I'd like to know there is any document about iFS errors.
I've looked for it into the iFs documentation section but I've not found anything about it.

You can find a description for some of the most common iFS errors in the appendix A of Developer's guide of iFS 1.1.
It is posted on OTN.

Regardless of the error reason, when I looked up the ORA-01801 error in the following reference, I did not see the error number there: 
Oracle Database Error Messages 10g Release 2 (10.2) A14219-01
 
 
However, I saw it in Oracle 9i error documentation.
 
 
Are there any obsolete errors? Why I don't see the error in 10g doc?

OVM 3.0.x Error documentation?

Hi,
I was wondering if there is any OVM-related errors documentations that I could use. With Oracle database products, I can quickly diagnose errors by using the oerr tool:
eg. oerr ora 12540 for an ORA-12540 error...
However, even just a document explaining the most common OVM- OVMRU_ etc error types would be most helpful, instead of having to search for each error individually.

Wait for some time. Sometimes the VM Manager takes some time to do actions if you are doing too many actions through VM Manager. If after 5-10 mins of deleting the VM is not deleted, try the following:
- logout and login to VM Manager and try again
If that does not work reset the VM and after it is reset to original status, try deleting it.
If you have any probs, check the Vm logs in VM Manager.

BW Authorization Error documentation Question

Hi,
I have a question, may be you can help in this:
Q: In BW Analyzer if we get the following authorization error for some reason:
->Authorization Check
You do not have authorization for Add or Create
There is a Details tab to see the authorization error details. I need to add documentation for the naming conventions the Users need to use so that it's easy for Users to see what is the reason for the error and what naming convention do they need to use to prevent the error.
Right now, details tab shows "No Documentation Available". How can I add documentation here? Where do I add this documentation and how do I link it to the Authorization Error Message's Details tab?
I tried running RSRTRACE to see which function modules/programs get called but that does not help. It gives me the following two function modules which are being called when I get the error message and when I click the details tab:
RZX0_MESSAGES_GET
RZX0_MESSAGE_H_GET
and surprisingly when I try to look them up in SE37 they do not exist What can be the reason for this?
Is there a system transaction, like .. SM02, in BW where we can define or create authorization error message documentation for BEx Analyzer? How do I link it to the Authorization Error message?

Message Class is R9 and message number is 108
We have to define the Long Text and save it under the RSZ class.

Consolidation Error Documentation (CSD)

Hi all,
I have recently ended upon a consolidation engine error (CSD-070, CSD-080). Searching in the forum I have see some threads talking about some documentation about these errors. Could anyone please send that documentation?
About the CSD-070 (No Time available) & CSD-080 (No Group Available) errors, does anybody know what they can be related to?

Error documented goods movements

Hello PP experts
I have done the good issue of the components of a process order.
If I ckeck it in the order in Lits-> documented goods movement, sytem showe me an error 'There is no data for the selection'
What is wrong? why does not show me the movements of good issue?

Getting IFS Error 40014 Unable to receive message over channel

When we try to start our 9.0.3 IFS Node from the Oracle Enterprise Manager we get IFS-40014 errors. This keeps all of our Servers (Agents) from running.
Can someone tell me what is causing this and what we need to do to fix it?

I agree that the explanation oracle provided in the attach link, is a bit confusing. The main goal there is to describe the behavior of processes, when there is a need to combine, or split the transactions within those processes (or in some cases the processes themselves).
The thing is - The default transaction for a synchronous process is requiresNew. That was until version 11.1.1.6. On this last version, you are asking to enter a Transaction parameter when creating a new synchronous bpel process. The default value being prompt is required and that's what causing the problem – You automatically accept the default.
The assumption is, that developing bpel processes, should come with understanding of all those behaviors.
The problem for my understanding is that some of those behaviors were not so cleared until now.

Came across the following while refering to the [transaction throughput|http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/berkeley-db/db/programmer_reference/transapp_throughput.html] section in the programmers reference.
"Turn on the DB_TXN_NOSYNC or DB_TXN_NOSYNCflags. This changes the Berkeley DB behavior so that the log files are not written and/or flushed when transactions are committed. "
I assume that it should be corrected to "DB_TXN_NOSYNC or DB_TXN_WRITE_NOSYNC" with the relevant links updated.

In the Configuration chapter, under the Configuration File section, it lists the places to look for the file, with the last being the default for a new install:
6) ${java.io.tmpdir}/APEX/apex-config.xml (default for new installs )

I try to connect to IFS from java program with sentences:

the class compile but not run because the error:
IFS-20010: Failed to get PropertiesResourceBundler ifsDefault.
The message errors documentation said:
This error occurs when attempting to start an Oracle iFS process by specifying a service properties file name that cannot be located by the Oracle iFS repository. The
parameter specified in the error is the name of the specified service properties file. The specified service properties file
must exist in the oracle.ifs.server.properties package
descending from one of the directories included in the
CLASSPATH setting for the process.
I don't understand what mean this, somebody yes?

Q: Where is the "errors message" reference?

I'm trying to startup an instance of iFS but I'm facing some problems. When I execute the command line "ifsstartdomain" and enter the values on the dialog window, the following errors occurs:

ORA-01445 error when creating a form on a view

Hi,
I am attempting to create a form on a view - the view is a simple select from three tables that are connected to each other via foreign key relationships. When I attempt to submit data via this form, I get the ORA_01445 error. The Oracle8i Error Documentation says that this error is caused when a SELECT statement attempted to select ROWIDs from a view derived from a join operation. Because the rows selected in the view do not correspond to underlying physical records, no ROWIDs can be returned. The solution is to remove ROWID from the view selection clause, then re-execute the statement.
I did not include the rowid when I created my view so I went to look at the package that is generated by Portal to create the form. Sure enough, rowid was appended to the select statements.
Are there any workarounds for this? Why is the rowid appended to the select statement? Do I need to build my view another way? We cannot use master-detail forms because the nature of the data does not allow it. We would like to be able to use just one form to update several tables.
I read in an earlier post that forms cannot be created on views that have DISTINCT, AVG, COUNT, MAX, MIN, GROUP BY, HAVING, START WITH, or CONNECT BY. My view has none of these. It is just a simple select * from a, b, c.

This is the current limitation of the forms, we do not support non-updatable views, we expect to have the rowid available, if you want to access non-updatable views, please create a QBE report. If you think this is a very important feature, please file a bug.
