Ignore 2nd row and 4th row in Excel Sheet in SSIS Package

Hi All,
I have an SSIS package that imports an Excel sheet in which i have to ignore 2nd row and 4th row.
Please help me on this issue.

Based on my test, if second and fourth rows need to be skipped is based on some conditions, we can directly add where conditions in only one Excel Source with Edit Option. Otherwise, we can try to union three Excel sources to work around this issue. For
more details, please refer to the following steps:
Set the FirstRowHasColumnName property to False, so the first row stores the column names in the sheet.
Drag three Excel Sources to the Data Flow Task.
In the Excel Source, use the SQL command below to replace the former(supposing there are three columns in the Excel sheet: col1, col2 and col3):
SELECT F1 AS col1,F2 AS col2, F3 AS col3 FROM
[sheet$A2:C2]
In the Excel Source 1, please type the SQL command below:
SELECT F1 AS col1,F2 AS col2, F3 AS col3 FROM
[sheet$A4:C4]
In the Excel Source 2, please type the SQL command below (note that the ‘n’ means the number of rows in the sheet):
SELECT F1 AS col1,F2 AS col2, F3 AS col3 FROM
[sheet$A6:Cn]
Drag a Union All component to the same task, then union those three Excel Sources.

Program Will Not Read First Row in Excel Sheet

I am having difficulty getting my program to read the first row of my excel sheet. When I use the next() method the first time it automatically starts at the second row. Here is what I have for my method that reads the data from an excel file.

Thats because the first row typically contains the column headers, and you don't want them read as data. Either insert a blank row, or put in column labels, and than you can get the column labels/names from the ResultSetMetaData.

WBS Hirarachy Issue at 2nd , 3rd and 4th Level

Hi ,
I am loading the planning data from 3rd party system using UDC . planning data had wbs element . Planning amount will post some time at 2nd leve or 3rd or 4th or 5th Level .
I am using SAP stadard WBS hirarchy for reporting . If 5th level node has possting stadard hirachy showing perfectly because wbs hierarchy is rollup of 5th level postings and also alwasy posting at 5th level in r/3. but I am loading the data from 3rd party system so 2,3,4th levels also has postings. so 2,3,4 th level amounts are not adding into the standard hierarchy and   amounts are displaying under unassigne node in WBS standard Hierarchy . 2,3,4th level amount not adding into the Stadard wbs hirarchy .
If the amount post at 5th level no issues stadard hirarchy working fine

Does anybody can help me with Excel VBA macro code in order to import data from text files into single Excel spread sheet? I want to create User Form where user can select start and end date of interest and macro code will import
bunch of text files depending on user demands...

- Make a new Excel file
- Open the VBA editor
- Add a Userform
- Place 2 text boxes and 1 command button on that form
- Paste all code below into the code module of the form
- Download this file:

You can format the columns of the sheet as you like, e.g. column E:H should be a number with 5 decimal places. The top row can contain some headings. My code did not affect the formatting or the headings.

I’m not sure if I understand your question correctly, so please correct me if I have any misunderstandings.
For the defined names, I assume you mean the named range. If so, you can create the binding to the named range through
Bindings.addFromNamedItemAsync method.

Not able to download all the rows to excel sheet from alv grid display

Hi experts,
I am not able to download all the rows which are displayed in alv grid display for some material numbers.
for some materials i am able to download, i used two ways to download 1) from icon(local file) on grid 2) menu list->export.
i checked in debugging till selecting the spread sheet pop up window, i am able to see all the data in internal table.
Can you suggest me what will be the problem....

Comparing 2nd gen and 4th gen ipod touch capacities

Hi
I have a 2nd gen Ipod touch that was 29.4Gb capacity with around 2.8gb left of space. I was gifted with a 4th gen ipod touch which has a 29.06 gb capacity. When I was trying to restore it from the backup of the 2nd gen ipod touch, it says I have 1.6gb left? Of course you have the 0.4gb difference but what happened to the 1.2gb???

Was your 2nd gen the same iOS verson?
Does your 2nd gen have the FaceTime app?
Does your 2nd gen have the Camera app?
Does your 2nd gen have the ring tones in Settings -> Sounds?
Does your 2nd gen support separate alarm volume vs media volume controls?
I'm sure there are other differences specific to the 4th gen which the 2nd gen can not do, so it would not include those bits.

How to get OEM 11.1.0.6 to find 2nd, 3rd and 4th instances on host?

First off, I'm an OEM novice, so speak in 1 or 2 syllable words.
I have 11g OEM installed on a server that has 3 RAC databases. OEM only shows info from the last database that was installed.
1) How do I get it to display the other databases?
I also have a 10g Grid Control on another server. I'd like it to find the databases on the 11g RAC. Do I need to install the 10g Agents on the 11g RAC server? If I do, will it destroy the 11g agents (just in case someone tells me how to do #1)?

Are you using grid control or are you mentioning about dbconsole?
Agent concept is related with grid control. You install a grid control server and it monitors all the databases that has a grid control agent (one for a server) which points out the grid control server.
dbconsole comes with the database installation and you can configure dbconsole to monitor only one database.

How to change color of rows count dispalyed while debugging ssis packages

in visual 2013 ssdt version I have row count displayed in white color on pale background: bit.ly/1oWP1Cm
I'd like to have it in black. I know it should be changeable in Options -> Fonts and Colors, but what option should I change from myriads available?

My colleague had the same issue in that we couldn't see the numbers. We couldn't figure out why we couldn't see the numbers and the design screen was white. It looked like the numbers were displaying in white over the connections lines. So
we changed the color scheme to light and the numbers appeared in black. WHen we switched the color scheme back to dark, the canvas turned dark and the text was in white.
So there must be a bug when selecting the color scheme on the first run of Visual Studio 2013 in that it doesn't set the correct canvas color for the SSIS designer. Luckily toggling the color scheme resolves the issue.

SSIS-How to pass multiple value to stored procedure from table row one by one using ssis package??

I want to execute a stored procedure using ssis.But the problem I am having is that there is a table with 200 rows with only
single column.Now i want to execute stored procedure using value one by one from table .once the stored procedure is executed with top value from table i also want to delete that topmost column value and execute with next table value.and store the result in
text file.
please help me..or provide a package.

If you want to do it in SSIS, a way to do this is by using For Each Loop as mentioned above.
Create 1 OBJECT type variable (list of values) and one STRING type variable (one value at a time)
Use EXE SQL Task with ResultSet = FULL RESULT SET and query = SELECT COL FROM TABLE ORDER BY COL ASC...output this to the OBJECT type variable
Next, a For Each loop container with Foreach ADO Enumerator, ADO object source variable = Object type variable and map that to String type variable with index = 0.
Within your for each loop container, select another EXEC SQL Task and pass in an input parameter (the String type variable) and query = EXEC PROC ? -- WHERE ? = String type variable.
This will execute your store procedure just for that one value out of the whole list.
Now within the same For Each loop, select another EXEC SQL Task and again pass in an input parameter (the same String type variable) and query = DELETE FROM TABLE WHERE COL = ? -- WHERE ? = the current value
The above process should A) get the list of values from the table B) pick one value at a time and execute the proc and delete and right after delete that value from the table.

Empty rows from imported excel sheet

Hi all
I use Intelligent Explorer 8.3 and have an imported excel sheet in the query.
If I process this file I receive a lot of empty rows on top the data I like receive. But in this excel sheet there are no empty rows. What could be the problem?
Is there a setting which I can change the path to this excel sheet?
The only way I know is to rename the excel file that I get a message box to set the path again.

I solved the problem with the empty rows already. The problem was that Brio retrieves empty rows if they are used before. There is obviously a difference between empty rows which are used and which are unused. But I am still trying to find the excel settings where you can change the path to the excel sheet.
