Illustrator CC System requirements (no support for XP)?

I'm under the impression that the preview build worked on XP, and obviously the information that Adobe sent to its retail partners listed XP as acceptable. Amazon and Newegg both list XP with SP3 as the minimum. Why did Adobe change this requirement? Now I can't download CC. Is there a (legal) workaround?

Considering XP's lifecycle has been extended out to just April 2014, why would Adobe want to support an out of lifecycle OS in less than a year.  Espeically when Vista/7/8 are all have 4/7/10 years of lifecycle remaining  The computer world needs to get away from a 12 year old OS and start getting with the times.  7 and 8 are so much more superior than XP.  I would much rather have quality 64bit applications running the latest operating systems than them doctoring the applications to work on old operating systems.

BUG! Not system locale Filenames support for 32-bit applications error in Windows 8.1 x64.
All Windows x64 (XP,2003,2007,Vista,7,8) have no support for not system locale filenames|foldernames for all 32-bit applications. I think it is BUG!
For example,  it is possible to read files|folders with French or Chinese in English locale windows installed, rename it, but it is not possible open it, edit or delete. (ERRORS: File not found OR Unknown format)
With using 64-bit programs no such problems. How does it works and how can I fix this? Is it problem with encoding in translating kernel instructions for 32-bit apps in x64 Windows OS's? Whether there are
solutions to this problem OR some hacks|fixes?

    Hi,
Have you installed the language package for French or Chinese?
If no, please download the language package and install them.

I install latest update from my ipad 2, after the upgrade tablet running slowly. Probably the system requirements too high for my device. I think that users with older models should be able to install IOS 6.x.x on their devices or consider buying devices from other manufacturers ...
People are dissatisfied with the new update a lot, including some of my friends and acquaintances. Is it reasonable to wait until Apple implements the possibility to return to Ios Ios 6 to 7? And how soon it can be done?
Sorry for my english, i am from Russia.

I have a similar issue. I recently purchased an iPad Mini, and I started off by backing it up from the apps I had on my iPhone. Now, I have a number of apps that never downloaded and that I don't want on the iPad. Some of these are apps that I don't need, while others are the iPhone versions of apps. There are something like 23 apps that I have no use for, but iTunes tries to install every time I connect. I've also tried clicking the 'Will Install' buttons. There's no way to delete these apps from the iPad without first installing them, as far as I can see, and there's no way to NOT install them, in iTunes.
It''s not just annoying, it's causing problems with installation of larger files and movies. Now, every time I sync to the computer, I get a warning that I'm over capacity by 580 MB, and larger apps will not install! Clicking Revert and a bunch of other things doesn't work, either. And I can't just delete some of the apps, because I or my wife use them on our phones!

Does anyone have any information when the Sun Java System Web Server might be supported on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 Server?
    Thanks

Certification of RHEL5 will likely happen with one of the upcoming Update releases.
There is, as far as I know, no reason why Web Server won't run on RHEL5 today though (I use it on Fedora Core 7 without ill effect, and the RHEL trail the Fedora releases a bit in technology versions).

  • System requirements for Adobe Illustrator CS3?

    Hello!
I have iMac and would like to install Adobe Illustrator CS3.(I've never installed any other adobe illustrator versions before.)
    Mac OS x Version 10.4.11
    1.83 GHz Intel Core Duo
    512 MB 667 MHz RAM
Hard disk space available: 131.93 GB
    Resolution: 1440x900
    32-bit color
Will my iMac be able to handle Illustrator CS3 once I install the program?
    Thank you for your time!

There are no single core Intel iMacs. The OP has a Intel Core Duo (Yonah) processor which is still dual core but just 32bit rather than the 64bit Core 2 Duos used in subsequent Macs.
The system requirements only call for a G4 and 512MB RAM. Although I would agree that upgrading to 2GB would be sensible:

  • System requirements for BO Enterprise XI 3.0 with 3 cloned webi services

    Helllo,
I'm wondering what the system requirements would be for a server to host a BO Enterprise system (XI 3.0) if it is connected to a SAP BW system.
The system should be able to cope with around 150 to 200 calls/requests maximum at a time.
The users log in into SAP and launches a request via an SAP screen with behind that an URL request that is constructed based on a guest account (max 200 requests at the time) for BO. Because it is always the same account (Guest) that is used over and over again I'm wondering what kind of additional requirements the system should support.
We did some stresstesting with 120 simultaneous users. Even with 3 cloned web intelligence processing servers it blocked several times.
For the moment it is running on following hardware specifications:
HRBOXI (Dell PowerEdge 2950 (Servicetag: GMZ834J))
Memory: 8 memory slots available on motherboard of which 2 are used (each is  2GB) Total available memory at this moment is 4GB.
CPU: 2 x Intel Xeon E5420 (quad core). There are 2 CPU sockets on the motherboard that are in use.
    Disks:  2 x 146GB (15K) SAS
On that there is a 32bit operating system in use. We would like to start with upgrading that to 64 bit OS.
Can someone tell me if this machine is suitable for production purposes for BO Enterprise linked to an SAP BW on mainly HR-data? I mean by that does this machine has enough processors to be able to cope with 3 cloned webintelligence services at a time. And also enough RAM memory?
    Many thanks Thierry Renaer

  • What  are the System Requirement for LC Rights Management

I went to the Adobe public and partner site, the only System Requirements I found for RM are on the public site. This link http://www.adobe.com/products/livecycle/rightsmanagement/ has the hight level system info like the OS systems supported etc. But does not provide minimum  memeory, disk space info. If you have info on this, I would appreciate your input.

    For Mac:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/SP663
    Software:
Mac OS X version 10.6.8 or later (intel-based hardware)
    400MB of available disk space
iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match availability may vary by country.
    Hardware:
Mac computer with an Intel Core processor and 512MB of RAM
To play 720p HD video, an iTunes LP, or iTunes Extras, a 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo or faster processor and 1GB of RAM is required.
To play 1080p HD video, a 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo or faster processor and 2GB of RAM is required.
Screen resolution of 1024x768 or greater; 1280x800 or greater is required to play an iTunes LP or iTunes Extras
Broadband Internet connection to use the iTunes Store
Apple combo drive or SuperDrive to create audio, MP3, or back-up CDs; some non-Apple CD-RW recorders may also work
Apple SuperDrive to back up your library to DVDs; some non-Apple DVD-RW drives may also work.
You can run OS X 10.6.8 in an Intel-based MacBook w/ first model, in retail DVD.
But it won't work in a power-pc architecture Mac... see specifications:

    Hopefully this helps.

Did you actually mean version 10, as in Illustrator 10 from 2001?
    If so:
    • Your G4 with OS X 10.4 (2005-2007) would probably run it, (using Rosetta if needed / PPC based).
    • OS X 10.9 will definitely not allow install or run it.

  • Does my computer meet the system requirements for Adobe Photoshop CS5 Extended?

I am planning to buy Adobe Photoshop CS5 Extended but I have tried to understand if my computer 's system is enough for the software. Please help me, the Adobe requirements I am unsure of are in bold and my system is in italics (My laptop is an Acer Aspire 5715Z):
    Windows
Intel® Pentium® 4 or AMD Athlon® 64 processor - Intel Pentium Dual CPU T2330  (Should be higher than Pentium 4???)
1024x768 display (1280x800 recommended) with qualified hardware-accelerated OpenGL graphics card, 16-bit color, and 256MB of VRAM - display is no problem, Mobile Intel GL960 Express Chipset with Integrated 3D graphics, featuring Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 with up to 358 MB of Intel Dynamic Video Memory Technology 4.0)
Some GPU-accelerated features require graphics support for Shader Model 3.0 and OpenGL 2.0 - I haven't got a clue what to look for.
    Thank you for all help!
    Jen

    Brand:
    Acer
    Mfr Part Number:
    Aspire 5715Z

    Intel
    Processor Speed:
    1.6 GHz
    Processor Type:
    Pentium
    Hard Drive Size:
    80 GB
    Operating System:
    Windows Vista Home Premium
    Screen Size:
    15.4 inches
    That's from the Acer website.
It IS a pentium processor, but I see nothing to indicate if it's 64bit. I'm guessing it's 32. CS5 works best in a 64 bit environment, that's my personal opinion. I've used it in both and 64 outperforms 32.
2Gb of Ram will cause some performance issues too. If your aspire can be bumped up to 4Gb do that first.
80Gb of HD with Vista and I don;t kow how much other software and files you have, but it isn't a lot these days. I had a Toshiba with an 80Gb drive and I lasted about three months before I HAD to put a 250Gb in it. Once I had Vista Ultimate, CS4 Master Collection, Office 2007, Roxio Creator 10 and about 4 Gb of websites. I had to connect an external drive for my Photoshop files because I had about 6Gb left on the drive.
It will run (in 32bit mode) but with the "factory" specs, it will run slower and you may experience issues with it freezing up on large files (2Gb or bigger).

  • CS6 System Requirements + Hardware Questions

I am in hope that someone who is knowledgeable regarding hardware can confirm that my computer would meet the system requirements for CS6. I tried to get some answers via Adobe Chat, but the person was not that helpful.
I have an old Mac Pro 1,1 Dual-Core Intel Xeon 3 GHz – vintage around 2007. The graphics card is the original NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT. I see that the system requirements for CS6 state, “Some GPU-accelerated features require graphics support for Shader Model 3.0 and OpenGL 2.0.” My knowledge of hardware is perhaps not as good as some, but I don’t seem to be able to find anything about the above on my computer. In Photoshop preferences (I have Design Premium CS5) under “GPU Settings” I do have “Enable OpenGL Drawing” selected and upon clicking the “Advanced Settings …” button it shows that I can only do “Mode: Basic” OpenGL—the other menu options (Normal and Advanced) are grayed-out. I see nothing about “OpenGL 2.0” and I don’t find anything about “Shader Model 3.0.” I also don’t know anything about the required “Java Runtime Environment 1.5 or 1.6.” I have been seriously considering purchasing the upgrade to CS5.5 that would allow for the automatic upgrade to CS6.
I realize that my computer is old and would like something newer and faster, but money is an object for me. Ideally, I would like another Mac Pro, but with all the rumors about that model being discontinued, I am not clear as to what I should do. I personally cannot make up my mind as to whether or not it would be wise to put any more money into my present computer. I only have 5GB of RAM and wonder if it would be that helpful to purchase more on a somewhat older Mac. I have also seen that OWC has an AIT Radeon HD 5770 graphics card for $269.99. I don’t know if that would make much of a difference or could present problems. At times I wonder if my hard drive might be slowing down, but I am not sure of that. Most things still work well, but I was frustrated when doing some 3D in Illustrator. If I so much as wanted to move an object, the entire image would disappear for one or two seconds in order to re-draw. Again, I don’t know enough as to whether or not the addition of more RAM and a new graphics card would make that much of a difference.
Perhaps I should wait to see what comes about with the Mac Pros or if and when there is a replacement. I have to admit that at times I consider going back to PCs in that Macs seem to be so over-priced. One time I was considering getting a laptop and looked at one of the lower-priced Macbook Pros. I then checked out the HP site and the laptop that I could get for the same amount was amazing. The HP had a bigger, higher resolution screen, more RAM, 3D (with glasses) and more. The difference was stark.
Anyway, I am sorry for this very long post and apologize to anyone who might have waded through it. Hopefully, it wasn’t too boring; some people find hardware interesting. Also, for me, typing is easy and the words just sort of “fly.” I would appreciate any kind help/advice that might be available.
    Thank you in advance.

  • Systems Requirements - Weblogic 11g on Windows Server 2012

Weblogic 11g system requirements will be higher in Windows Server 2012 than in RedHat if we want to keep up a good performance?

  • Can't upgrade my PowerBook G4, now at 10.4.11 to 10.5. It meets all system requirements!

I need to upgrade my PowerBook G4 to 10.5 so that I can use the current version of iTunes. When I talked to the Apple tech guy he said my PowerBook specs indicate that it can run OS 10.5. Specs are: PowerBook G4 15" 1.5Ghz 1 GB memory plenty of disc space, Firewire and attached screen. All listed on the install disc for 10.5. When I start up the install, I select English and two seconds later a window pops up saying it can't install on this computer. Doesn't state why or what is missing! ARGGHH!! I double checked everything, ran disk utility, opened the battery compartment to verify (1.5GHz/1GB/80G/SuperDrive/BT/APX/Backlit KB). So all hardware requirements are met.
The disc says Mac OS version 10.5, AHT version 3A137, Disc version 1.0, 2Z691-6150-A.
