I'm traveling to south América for a bussines i would like to know if all my apps all ready purchase here , works over there . I hope somebody can help me
Yes, I am sure. Your apps will definitely work. However, you can't update them overseas. You might also be unable to buy in-app or in-game items. As far as the apps themselves, there is no way them should stop working. It's just like taking your music/videos/movies with you when you travel.

Hi Dude,
I ve seen all the threads from first to last even am gonna get a iphone 4s from Thailand. Would like to know which sim will be working fine in chennai as you all are using d phone for past many days??? Is it advisable to buy a phone from abroad. Thanks for that. Much more constructive than the last comment. It's only the restriction code I can't recall, not the access passcode. So I can currently access the device, just not age restricted content. Does that's make a difference? I also wondered if anyone knew how many attempts you get to try to get it right. Now tried 21 times and so far nothing bad has happened but I am concerned I'll eventually be completely locked out of the device. That doesn't seem in the spirit of things though. Surely it's foreseeable that a child could repeatedly try to guess the code so I can't see that it would be right to lock the device down completely in that circumstance, particularly if the access code is being typed in correctly every time.

Hi,
I am planning a trip to South Africa in Nov/Dec. I live in Winnipeg Canada and own an Ipad wi-fi cellular. I would like to know if it is easy once in South Africa to use my device the way it is (i.e. with its existing SIM card etc). Or do I need to acquire a different SIM card? Also in order not to pay a fortune for the service is it better to acquire if needed a SIM card only once there? Also if I need a different SIM card where does one go to get one in South Africa? I have never travelled anywhere other than across Canada with my ipad (I am a fairly recent owner of such a device) and could use some help as to the best way to be able to use my machine in South Africa safely efficiently and at a reasonable cost.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank youAlso in order not to pay a fortune for the service is it better to acquire if needed a SIM card only once there?
Check with your carrier about roaming charges. They are usually prohibitive. Best to get a local SIM. -
I have a few failed downloads in the 'downloads' section on iTunes. It won't let me download any other video and it keeps asking me to 'tap to retry' I don't really care about the money lost but can anyone tell me if I can delete them from my iPod? Thanks x
Have you tried resetting your iPod:
Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. -
What steps need to be followed before donating my ipad to a program for the handicapped to ensure the new owner can register and use/update the unit as its new owner?
Go to Settings>General>Resert>Erase all Content and Settings. That will wipe the iPad's contents from the device.
It is very generous of you to donate your iPad to anyone and it is especially kind of you to donate to a cause such as this. My hat is off to you! -
I would like to know if once you have bought Pages for ipad you must buy it for I mac too.
Hi everybody! My name's Davide and it is the first time here for me.
I would like to know if once you have bought Pages for Ipad ii you must buy it again in case you have an iMac.
ThanksThe Mac & iOS Numbers are two separate applications for two different operating systems. You need to buy both, but only once for each OS.

I have the iPhone 5 and iPad 3. I will travel to Europe and would like to know if I need a current covertidor 220-110 for my equipments. I have an adapter, but that did not change the flow and do not want to risk it. Thank you.
All you need is a physical plug adapter, not a voltage converter. All Apple chargers work on any voltage from 110 - 240 worldwide.

A few days ago i bought the macbook pro in a Providence. In late Summer i will come back to my Country - Ukraine. I would like to know about a tax for my
laptop. Can i return tax? Through the TAX FREE or return in airport? What should i do?You need to talk with the tax authorities in the countries to which you traveled and that of your home country. We are all end-users liek you and not Apple agents.

My daughter is going to Canada for a week and i would like to know if it will cost extra for her to text and/or call someone in the United States?
http://businessportals.verizonwireless.com/international/traveling_to/North_America/Canada.html
69 cents a minute for calls, texts covered under an existing texting plan or the standard pay per text rate if you don't have one.
If you're traveling in Canada, contact Customer Service at 800-922-0204 from any landline phone.
Global Picture and Video Messages are billed at the same per-message rate as though they were sent from the U.S. Accordingly, you can send/receive Picture and Video Messages with customers of:
Verizon Wireless (domestic rates/bundles apply)
Other domestic carriers (domestic rates/bundles apply)
Canadian, Mexican and Puerto Rican carriers (domestic rates/bundles apply)
Select International carriers (global rates apply)
When sending or receiving there's an additional data transport charge billed at the destination's Data Pay per Use Rate multiplied by the size of the Picture or Video, which can vary greatly.
A data network is required to send picture or video outside the U.S. See the Data Roaming List for eligible destinations.
Attempts to send Pictures or Videos are charged, even if the delivery fails.
Text Messages sent or received while in Canada, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands are billed as though you were in the U.S.
Check out our Nationwide plus Canada plans if you frequently call or travel to Canada. -
Travel internationally and use my ipohne with wifi, how do I make sure to avoid charges for roaming but still use my internet and messaging on wifi? I have viber app and would like to message also without additional charges. Is there a setting I need to hit to ensure this?
Settings>General>Network>Roaming>Data Roaming>Off. If you really want to be absolutely certain, Settings>General>Network>Cellular Data>Off.

I will be going to a resort in the Dominican Republic and would like to know if I need an adapter or some kind of special plug for my mac.
You won't need a power adaptor since the AC adaptor auto-switches, but you may need a wall socket adaptor such as in the World Travel Kit on the Apple Store or from AAA or some department stores' luggage and travel section.

I am travelling to Ireland and would like to know what typw of power converter I will need in order to charge my IPhone 4S.
The iPhone charger is capable of using any voltage from 100 to 240v. So you won't need a converter. All you will need is a plug adapter like this: http://www.adaptelec.com/wa7-travel-plug-adapter-for-england-ireland-etc-type-g- bs-1363-p-3.html

I am heading overseas shortly for 10 weeks and would like to suspend my email account on my imac desktop but still receive my emails on my ipad while away. If I take my desktop computer emails offline, will this do it for me.
Fozzee46You may have to contact your email provider or ISP, though you may be able to set up the email account to be used via the portable device you could carry with you in your travels, but access may vary, depending on the data plan you have, if cellular based; if not try a web-mail based account such as gmail and see if your other mail can be forwarded so you can check it via browser online.
I'm sure there are some options, ones I'd probably not consider. You may find that if your iPad and Mac desktop share an account or sync, email would still be in the Mac's account once it gets back online to the email server.
Some variables likely exist, so beyond this, I won't speculate further.
Good luck in this and safe travels! -
I would like to know if there are any classes in using the iphone in the South Bay area (around Torrance) of Los Angeles County?
Apple stores have classes, look online for the Apple store closest to you & their schedules. Here's Apple's free iPhone app to do so right on your phone:
