IMac 21" con OS X 10.9.3 non legge HD esterno

Salve a tutti, il mio problema è il seguente:
Ho un HD esterno che ho sempre usato, fino a 2 giorni fa, con iMac da oltre 1 anno nonostante la formattazione NTFS, poiché effettuai una modifica (non ricordo bene quale, presa da internet agli inizi del mio utilizzo dell'iMac) che mi consentiva anche di scrivere e sovrascrivere sul suddetto Hard Disk.
Da due giorni ormai l'iMac non mi riconosce più l'Hard Disk! Ho provato prima di tutto a smontare e ricollegare tutto nel case esterno, ho poi provato a cambiare l'ingresso usb nonché a riavviare l'iMac nella speranza che funzioni. Ho poi provato a collegarlo ad un pc Windows dove l'Hard Disk viene riconosciuto normalmente e senza problemi, e così facendo ho potuto eliminare tra le cause quella di una rottura sia dell'Hard Disk che del cavo usb di connessione.
Ho già utilizzato anche Utility Disco, dove mi fa effettuare soltanto "Verifica Disco", durante la quale sento l'Hard Disk "funzionare", fino ad arrivare all'ultima fase della verifica, cioè "Syncing device" dove non va più avanti. Ho provato anche la funzione "Ripara disco" ma senza successo come sopra. Inoltre, premendo su "Attiva" mi compare un popup di errore: "ATTIVAZIONE FALLITA. Il disco non può essere avviato. Prova ad utilizzare S.O.S. sul disco, quindi riavvialo."
Naturalmente è una procedura che ho fatto e rifatto più volte, senza avere successo.
Qualcuno saprebbe aiutarmi al riguardo?? Sto davvero impazzendo!
Mi scoccia non poter lavorare con una serie di dati dall'iMac soltanto perché inspiegabilmente ed improvvisamente non legge più un HD che ha sempre letto senza alcun problema!

Cambiare iMac i5 con i7

Ciao ragazzi.
Sono un Apple Fun e possiedo svariati prodotti della apple.
Il mio preferito è l'iMac , ci tengo molto.
Come sempre veloce , potente e semplice.
Però ora dovrei andare verso il Gaming cioè trasformare il mio iMac i5 in un vero e propio computer da gaming.
Già ho cambiato la RAM ne ho messo 16 GB presa da internet.
Leggendo vari rumors in tanti blog ho letto che l'i7 si può definire il triplo del iMac i5.
Quindi siccome a me servono tutte le prestazioni migliori non so la Apple ha un supporto tecnico per sostituirlo.
Questo cambiamento si credeva imposibbile ma invece si può fare..
Quindi vi chiedo se mi conviene sostituire l'imac i5 con un iMac i7 per il Gaming , anche con Boot Camp ,
e vorrei sapere se Apple consente di sostituirlo quando mi verrebbe a costare
Un altro dubbio è il Surriscaldamento del iMac una cosa che odio più di tutti , l'unico difetto che quando gioco anche per 10-20 minuti già il mio iMac nella parte in alto a destra supera i 60°C. Io uso l'iMac anche per scopi di youtube video sui vari giochi e non sopporto quando devo perforza usare un programma smcFanControl che consiste di aumentarei rpm delle ventole ma con un suono assordante e sgradito quindi nella registrazione con Screen Flow si sente un ruischio di sotto fondo che su youtube il fastidio si triplica. Ancche con la qualità al minimo il mio iMac si surriscalda anche giocando ad un gioco di Java cioè Minecraft 512MB dedicati mi vada a scatti o si blocca del tutto. Quindi secondo voi dovrei portarlo nella Assistenza tecnica per qualche problema di fabbricazione?

ok grazie, a me interessa poter lavorare con files dal mio folder di skydrive in modo da avere la versione del file sempre aggiornata e disponibile da utilizzare anche da un altro pc evitando un passaggio di scaricare il file sul mio site folder e poi ricaricarlo su skydrive.. certo potrei prima di lavorare su un altro pc con DW scaricarmi l'ultimo versione del file dal server con filezilla modificarlo portarlo sul server e poi salvarlo su skydrive!!??!!!.

IMac 27" con media pantalla oscura

Quiero transmitir con este escrito mi profundo malestar con la emplesa Apple por el trato recibido y la negativa a solucionar un problema que a todas luces es fallo de fabricación.
Se trata del display de 27" correspondiente a un iMac (caso 562669106).
Todo empieza en Julio de 2011, despues de haberme cambiado un ordenador recien comprado por problemas de inestabilidad y ruidos. El sustituto, me lo entregan en Agosto del mismo año.
Este ordenador, (DGKG207UDHJW), hace unos dias, empezó a hacer intermitencias en la imagen y a oscurecerse gradualmente la parte izquierda de la pantalla. Al entregarlo al servicio técnico, certifican que es un fallo evidente de fabricación... (DISPLAY DE 27"). Me pongo en contacto con Apple y me niegan la sustitución de la pantalla haciendo alusión a que ¡¡¡se pasa 4 meses de la garantía...!!!
Mi pregunta es: ¿Y la profesionalidad de Apple con respecto a la resolución del problema?... ¿Es normal que una pantalla de estas características se estropee en dos años y 4 meses?, ¿Y el agasajo que cualquier cliente necesita recibir, cuando además, he sido cliente desde hace muchísimos años, adquiriendo portátiles, ordenadores de sobremesa, iphones, software, etc, etc?
¿Donde está la seriedad, profesionalidad, rigor y buen trato de Apple?
Me dejan desepcionado, habiendo perdido toda la confianza en esta marca y en su actitud; basada en una simple fecha y despues de haber reconocido por multiples usuarios el fallo en esas pantallas.
Iniciaré acciones legales contra Apple por dignidad y para hacer ver mi razón; que es la razón de millones de usuarios.
Por otro lado; estoy seguro que la alta dirección de la empresa, por inteligencia, hubiera tomado otro camino para tratar mi caso.

Resulta que me encuentro en la misma situación que vosotros. Haces un par de semanas la pantalla del iMac empezó a parpadear en la zona inferior izquierda.
Hasta que hace unos dias el parpadeo dejo de hacerlo para quedarse definitivamente a medio brillo.
He estado buscando y la solución que te ofrece Apple es cambiar toda la pantalla!!!! PASA POR CAJA antes!!!!
Por suerte tenemos internet y unos 'ingenieros' mas resolutivos que han encontrado la solucioón barata.... y sin tener que cambiar de pantalla!!!!!

Éste es un caso un poco confuso, porque he visto gente que ha podido utilizar el iMac como monitor para un PC y otra que no.
Para empezar, Apple dice que todos los iMacs con puertos Thunderbolt y los iMacs de 27 pulgadas pueden ser usados como monitores para otros Macs > http://support.apple.com/kb/PH11302
Sin embargo, no dice nada sobre PCs. En el caso de los iMacs con Thunderbolt (iMacs de mediados de 2011 y finales de 2012), solamente pueden ser usados como monitor para otros Macs con Thunderbolt, por lo que no puedes utilizarlos con un PC. Esto es debido a que no puedes usar uno de los adaptores de Mini DisplayPort con este iMac si quieres usarlo como monitor (sin embargo, esto sí funcionaría en el caso de querer conectar una pantalla externa al iMac).
En el caso de un iMac con Mini DisplayPort, más de lo mismo, porque el PC debe tener un conector Mini DisplayPort o DisplayPort, muy limitado y que probablemente no tendrá tu PC

24" iMac Screens better in recent batches? One non-Apple store thinks so...

I've been thinking about getting the Alu/Glass 24" iMac (waiting until at least Leopard's arrival) but after having read a number of threads here I thought I'd better go and check for myself...
I still use a PowerBook G4 15" at home and use a second cheapy (matte) monitor next to the latest white 20" iMac at work. I'm a web developer (not designer) but I would consider myself a pro user, so my standards may be higher than a typical home user, but not as high or finely tuned as a pro-photographer or graphic designer.
I visited a non-Apple store (in Stockholm, Sweden) and although I did not have a long time to play, I made a few basic adjustments to the screen settings (changed gamma from 1.8 to 2.2 and back) and the desktop background (white, light gray, dark gray, black).
Given the number and degree of negative comments I've read I was pleasantly surprised by the screen. Sure there were some colour imbalances (a little of the yellow/brown in the centre of the screen compared to the sides) but no obvious brightness differences from the left to the right side. I could not see any 'backlight bleed' issue at the bottom of the screen, nor any dark spots/corners.
The reflection however was something else! <insert your expletive of choice here>! Wow, the store itself was very brightly lit with many fluorescent tubes behind my standing position. I sure didn't need to turn around to see them, or my own reflection or that of the shoppers walking behind me.
My other concern is the screen brightness with reflection combined - I could imagine this causing eye strain and headaches. I'd need a longer trial to see if this is true for my (slightly less than middle-aged) eyeballs.
My home setting would obvious be very different to this, but opposite a window would be an absolute no-no. This may limit my options. But why should I have to think like this? Sure we had the same issue with CRT monitor way back when, but now? In 2007?
So, onto the subject...
The sales guy at the store saw me fiddling about with the demo model and came over to see what I was looking for. Without prompting from me he stated that this was the first 24" iMac he'd seen that he couldn't point to obvious display problems. This was the third batch of iMacs they had received. He said the first two batches both had dark spots or obvious brightness differences across the screen. I asked about the backlight bleed, explaining what it was, but he'd not seen it (probably because the store was too brightly lit). He agreed that there was a slight yellowing in the centre of the screen on light backgrounds, but otherwise this was by far the best he'd seen. I could probably live with it but not if I did a lot of heavy photography/design.
So have Apple have been quietly (so as to not admit a problem in the first place) making some improvements to later batches?
Personally, I'd have to trial one at home to be absolutely sure before parting with what I still consider to be a lot of money for a 'consumer' level computer (Apple or otherwise). I might try to find a supplier who can lease me a machine for a month to see if it would be ok in my situation, but quite frankly why should this be necessary?

I returned my 24"iMac today -- after receiving the long-awaited response from tech-support on their escalation of my issues/inquiries to the engineering department. The "final" (non)result is that Apple REFUSES to disclose the specific display quality standards alluded to in their claim that:

I just took out 32G out of a late 2012 iMac and replaced the 8G that my new
Retina 5K iMac came with and all is working FINE.....

Stampante F380 in condivisione con porta USB modem/router non funziona come scanner

Buongiorno, ho una stampante Hp F380 che ho sempre utilizzato sul mio pc, con sistema operativo Windows7, tramite la porta USB.
Avendo l'esigenza di stampare ed eseguire scansioni da un altro pc in rete sullo stesso modem router, ho provato ad utilizzare la porta USB master di cui è dotato il mio modem router (Alice Gate VOIP 2 Plus Wi Fi) a cui ho collegato la F380 per poterla condividere con il nuovo pc.
Ho seguito la procedura di installazione da manuale modem ed il tutto, per quanto riguarda la funzione di stampa, è andato a buon fine.
Lo scanner invece non si riesce ad utilizzare in quanto il programma HP centro soluzioni non vede il dispositivo se non è collegato ad un porta USB locale del pc (io normalmente usavo questo per le mie scansioni)
Anche cercando di usare la scansione direttamente dalla cartella "Dispositivi e stampanti", cliccando sul tasto destro del mouse sull'icona del dispositivo F380 nel menu a finestra non appaiono le funzioni di digitalizzazione che invece appaiono quando la F380 è collegata ad una porta USB locale del pc.
Avete una soluzione per questo?

My IMac is filled with movies but I have none

I have no movies on my computer at all, and I do not know what files are considered "movies" . I was also wondering how to get rid of the files to clear up the space.

See The Storage Display for info on one of Apple's more confusing windows.
But it looks like the Spotlight index is damaged or not up-to-date. Drag your internal HD from a Finder window into the exclusion box in System Preferences > Spotlight > Privacy for a few moments, then remove it via the minus sign at the bottom.
That will trigger a compete re-indexing, which may take a while and won't be done when the Spotlight indication no longer shows it, so do something else for a while. If that doesn't fix it, post back and we'll try another finagle.

Con iOS 8 dropbox non legge piu' i file .rtf

Oggi ho scoperto l'ennesimo bug di iOS8. Da quando ho aggiornato il mio iPad Air non riesco piu' a visualizzare i file .rtf salvati in Dropbox. Quando ci provo, compare un avviso che dice "Impossibile leggere doc. Si e' verificato un errore durante la lettura documento." E' capitato ad altri? Soluzioni in vista?
Mi sembra che anche sui forum americani lamentino lo stesso problema. Dopo aver ucciso iPad 2 iOS8 continua la strage anche sugli altri devices. peraltro anche il segnale wi-fi e' peggiorato da quando ho avuto la malaugurata idea di aggiornare sistema operativo.
