IMac 27 " recognizes Cineman screen but nothing happens

I just got an iMac 27", slightly used but still under warranty for one more year. In the hope I might use two screens side by side to speed up my photo editing, Bridge to InDesign layout and so on, I have connected my 27 inch Apple Cinemascreen to it through a Thunderbolt adapter. The Cinamscreen comes on with my iMac, but all I see on it is the galaxy wall paper. System preferences>displays>arrangement depicts two monitors, one small, one large, side by side but I can find no way to pull up any other actual iMac content onto the Cinemascreen. The Cinemascreen plugin that I had been using with my original MacPro desktop has both a USB and orginal firewire cable. At first, I plugged neither in but then tried it with the USB - same result. Of course, there is no firewire port in the iMac. I do have a chain of three Voyager hard drive docks linked to the iMac via a Thunderbolt to Firewire 8 adapter and these also have unused open original Firewire ports, but I am a little reluctant to the plug the Cinemascreens Firewire cable into one of the docks without knowing what might happen and if it will make any difference.
How do I pull and manage side-by-side iMac content onto the Cinemascreen?

Well, over two days and not a word of help or suggestion from anyone. This is the first time I have ever gone to an online forum (most forums I visit are Adobe related) and not received a good answer or suggestion in short order. I am disappointed but I'll get it one way or another, sooner or later.

Mavericks downloads into the Applications folder, where you can install it. Some Mac App Store Troubleshooting information and how to resume a download that was interrupted; some of the information here might get you an answer. Failing that, try contacting Apple Support.

On inserting an address it flashes on the screen but nothing happens

We are running Panda anti virus on the PC. Untilthis morning we have experienced no problem using Firefox. Now we enter an address and nothing happens. We do not get an error message. It is almost as if firefox can not get out. If we use Internet Explorer we have no problem. We can not access the Help function.
We are now getting the following screen popping up:

hello allen, there are a few issues...
* you're using an outdated version of firefox - please go to getfirefox.com, download the current version (firefox 18.0.1) & install it on top of your current installation
* the "Do you want the following propgram to make changes to this computer?" is often caused by [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware|malware]]. please go to firefox > addons > extensions & remove any suspicious entries (toolbars, things that you have not installed intentionally, don't know what purpose they serve, etc). also go to the windows control panel / programs and remove all toolbars or potentially unwanted software from there and do a full scan of your system with the security software that you have in place and/or a different tool like the [http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free free version of malwarebytes].
* alternatively you can also try to [[Reset Firefox – easily fix most problems|reset firefox]] ...
* some of your plugins are vulnerable - please keep them updated too: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/

Tried to restore my iPod touch, it now shows the 'connect to itunes' graphic on the screen but nothing happens when I do

I basically restored my iPod to start my music collection from scratch because I got a new PC.
I plugged the 32gb iPod touch into my PC and the USB connection sound went on to indicate that it is connected to the PC but the 'Connect To iTunes' graphic is on, even when it is connected to the PC and iTunes is open it doesn't show any devices connected. After a while the iPod shuts itself off, and when I turn it on again the same thing happens. Graphic. Not found in iTunes. Turns off. I think but I can't remember if I updated the iPod's operating system prior to the restore (this all happened 2 weeks ago).
I'm not sure of the model/generation of the iPod. I got it brand new for Christmas of 2009 in Australia.
Any help would be appreciated!

Try to backup and restore you device in itunes...restoring the device is like removing the iOS software off the device and re-add in a newer software, after you have restore you device, MAKE SURE YOU SET UP YOUR DEVICE LIKE A NEW DEVICE, DONT NOT RESTORE FROM BACKUP!!... give the device a chance to use the newer software and see if the issue still persisting, if the issue still on going then its would be a hardware issue.
Call Apple Care and see if your device is still under warranty to get it replace

How do I get Javascript to work? It is enabled in options but nothing happens when I select something that begins "javascript" on the status bar at the bottom of screen.

When I tried to download a file from the Canon U.S.A, I clicked on the "I agree - begin download" button and nothing happened. The information in the status bar at bottom of screen, when the mouse cursor is over the download button is "javascript:downloadFile()". I got following from the error console -

This sort of thing seems to happens whenever whenever javascript is involved.

I checked out the "Unable to download or save files" section. The only thing that seemed applicable was the "Reset download actions" section. I renamed the mimeTypes.rdf file to mimeTypes.rdf.old but it didn't seem to have any effect on downloading the file I wanted. There was still no response when I asked for the download.
I have noticed another problem that occurs when I try to download this file. I exit Firefox, then try to restart it. But nothing happens. I have discovered that in the Task Manager that the Firefox process is still running. When I end the Firefox process in the Task Manager, I am then able to restart Firefox.
By the way, I am able to download the file using Internet Explorer without difficulty.

IIf the battery was completely drained it might take some time before the phone will respond. Wait at least 30 minutes with the phone connected to the charger. Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. If the phone starts up let it continue to charge until it's 100%.
if the broken button will not let you do the reset Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

Are there any apps in the muti-tasking bar? If the app closed unexpectedly and appeared in the muti-tasking bar, end it. Double tap the home button and then hold the app until it starts to wiggle then tap the minus at the top left at the app (if you want, end all the remaining apps) try opening them now. Hope this helps! :)

This is a User's Forum, yelling at us won't help. You have 90 days of customer support via telephone. Use them as they can interact with their system and hopefully get you back on track. Otherwise take it to them at the Genius Bar and have them make it good.

You need to re install OSX. If you have the dmg file downloaded via torrentz this is how you can create a bootable external HD or Flash drive (8 GB+)
