Imac 5K: How many shades of gray per pixel?

Hi everyone!
I am interested in using an retina Imac as a medical display.
Some of the features required for these displays are the number of megapixels (more than 2 or preferable 5 Mp) and the depth of color (preferable 10 bits).
In configurations of the retina display it is shown that it is 32 bit ARGB (8888), so I understand the transparency here counts.
Nevertheless, what I don´t know is if it changes when considering monocrromatic images. How may shades of grey shoul I expect? The same for any other color (256 shades?) This number would be increased whit black and white images)
Thanks!

I believe your talking about .Mac account that has I think 10Gb of storage. 10 gigs is a lot of podcast nothing to worry about for a few years. As for how much monthly bandwidth you get I don't know but you probably would have to be in the thousands of downloads a month before you come up to any restrictions.

  • How many iPad 2's per customer?

Hello, I live in Los Angeles and am planning on going to my local Apple store early on the 11th. My question is, is there a limit of iPad 2's per customer? I need to buy 2. Thanks.

Apple nor anyone else has mentioned a limit but depending on how many each location gets they may be limited.

  • How many storage unit type per Material code

    Dear ERP Expert
we are running SAP ECC 6.0 with decentralized Warehouse Management System (WHP).
In material master data of WHP, view Warehouse Mgmt 2, there is the "Palletization data" box, with the following column:
    Loading equipment quantity 1
Unit of measure for loading equipment quantity 1
    1st storage unit type
In this way it is possible to define, per material code, 3 different pallet type, isnt'it?
I would like to know: To define different pallet types what kind of the impact could have?
I mean, someone tell us that the main impact to define different pallet types, in WH material master data is:
1 - When receiving the goods the TOu2019s will have to be created manually. The system cannot define the used pallet by itself and this is very important for the placement.
2 - The issuing of the goods is not possible via RF (radio frequency). This will have to be done manually as this is not supported.
is this scenario relalistic or is it possible to do something in order to avoid this scenario?
    regards
    marco

1)Storage unit type is assigned to the eacj warehouse number.
2)It is activated for each storage type in the warehouse.
    3)Goto SPRO->LE->Warehouse mangmt->Mater Data->Material->Define storage unit type.
4)Here you assign storage unit type to warehouse number
5)You can activate SU mngmt at warehouse level here:
    SPRO->LE->Warehouse mangmt->Storage Unit->Master Data->Activate SU mngmt per warehouse number
6)You can also activate SU mngmt at storage type level
    SPRO->LE->Warehouse mangmt->Master Data->Define storage type.

  • How many accounts Are allowed per iPad?

Trying to set up new account with a location overseas while maintaining my stateside account and configuration.  Is this possible?  Don't want to lose app data, iCloud and photo info.

I'm not completely clear on what it is you're asking. You can have content from up to five iTunes Store accounts, but you can only be connected to a single iCloud account. If that doesn't answer your question, please post back and clarify.
    Regards.

  • How many computers can you install Lion after purchasing from App store. My wife and I have our own Apple ID will it accept 2 different ID

I have a MacBook Pro and an iMac . My wife has a MacBook and an iMac. How many computers are you allowed to install from one download. We both use Apple products and have our own Apple ID. Can I download Lion on her computers after I have both of mine installed? Or does she have to buy LION again using her Apple ID# ?

A single purchase of Lion will allow you to download it multiple times as long as you use your Apple ID.
If your wife wishes to install Lion, she must sign into the App Store with your Apple ID.

  • How many connections?

Just a quick planning question. This is a church environment that may grow quickly. They're currently trialing with three LinkSys devices and about 25 users. But they anticipate up to a couple of hundred users if successful. Which device(s) would be best for lots of connections? And how many would that be per access point?

The absolute answer is "It Depends" ... just like any other size or implementation question.
For commercial APs from Cisco, the closest thing to "rule of thumb" is ~20 concurrent users per AP, but that number can be adjusted up or down depending on the application, protocols in-use, and overall volume of traffic per user. Also keep in mind that ONE USER radiating an 802.11b signal into your coverage will (may) slow down the system and reduce the potential max count.
I would also humbly suggest you dump the Linksys and go with commercial APs, as they will have more options for fine tuning the power, coverage, rogue mitigation, monitoring, and control.
How many do you need? From the information provided, I'd say 500 or so. You can probably adjust that down somewhat according to the size of the coverage area, building materials, and a mess of other parameters ... without that info, I'll go safe and say 500 ( ;-} .
i.e., How many vehicles do I need to transport the entire senior class of my nephew's high school class at one time? We need to create a solid transportation budget.
Realistically, what you need is a solid site survey that will measure a real signal in the actual environment with real or simulated traffic that is comparable to the expected loads. There is no substitute.
If you are not prepared to do that kind of survey, you should hire someone to come in and do it for you, as this is *critical* information and can save you a mess of money (frustration, reputation) in the long run.
The site survey is where the budget meets head-on with the requested functionality. If you already have a budget planned, then expect to lose some functionality or coverage.
If you already have desires and expectations, then the site survey will provide you the information needed to come up with a reasonable and realistic budget.
As a final note: Just kidding on 500 (in case your sense of humor was broken). A proper spread of APs with the proper antennas can accommodate almost anything ... proper antennas for the coverage area is critical, and selection of same is a big part of the site survey.
    Good Luck

  • How many crashes have you had today?

    Hi guys!
Just interested to know generally, how many crashes people have per session?
I'm using G5 dual 2.3 Ghz 4.5 GB Ram, with Logic 7.1.1 and OSX 10.4.9
    I regularly have 1 or 2 and sometimes 3!
I have now got used to seeing the familiar pop up "Logic has quit unexpectedly"
    Is this the norm?
    Cheers
    Mike

I haven't had many crashes at all lately. Let me even over-state the case and say that I crash once a week.
But the question is this: what am I doing that causes Logic to crash? I'd say that 99% of the time, crashing can be attributed to one of three things...
    • opening multiple songs at once, where one of them ends up calling for more samples to be loaded into RAM than Logic can handle. It's 75/25 that Logic will crash.
    • Sometimes, using one of Logic's more touch-and-go features (beat mapping, for example) or performing an operation that's inherently buggy will corrupt a song, and that will cause a crash. If I'm able to remedy the problem within the file, no more crashing.
    • something inexplicable that's extremely difficult to pinpoint the cause of, i.e., "who knows". But these are few and far between on my system.
Now... I'm running 7.1.1 on 10.4.5. I have VERY few 3rd party plugs on my system. I can run Mail, Safari, Transmit, Text Edit, Excel, and a variety of other programs all at the same time and, like DR9, I rarely shut my computer off. Sometimes I'll even check my mail while I'm doing a real-time bounce within Logic (hee hee). I say all this to show that crashing isn't necessarily a "given" with Logic, though I will say that it took me a looooong time to arrive at a system configuration where Logic was this stable.
Now#2... recently I was at a studio where I installed Logic 7.1.1 on their system with 10.4.9. It was a ******* nightmare, because Logic was crashing constantly. But then again, so was PT on that same computer... We thought it might be a USB problem, because the crashing seemed to occur on either program when we moved the mouse and activated the dock. Then we thought it might be a graphics problem because the entire computer would hang when one of the funky dialog windows was opened (i.e. Logic's preference windows). Was it 10.4.9 that was causing the problem? Or just a funky system? Hard to say...
The long and short of it is that Logic shouldn't be crashing so often on you like this. Could be a corrupt song, could be that you're trying to do something that Logic doesn't like, could be that your system needs a good clean-up. Who knows, but it's not normal.
I hope you can get to the bottom of it because I know first-hand how ******* annoying this situation is and I feel your pain.

  • How many times can a podcast be heard /$$ .imac space

I understand how many times a podcast can be heard ( based on the size of the podcast ) per unit of space I buy but imac doesn't tell you how much it costs to buy extra units if you want to upgrade to more storage space, ~~ without giving your credit card number first and purchasing the original storage space for $99.
I can't really figure out if it is worth purchasing the space. my first podcast is 67 MB right now with one GB of storage / transfer units, that podcast can only be heard one time.
so I have garage band and can make podcasts but don't have the information I need to move forward to publish my podcast.

    Hi jfosteroracle,
You are getting the error may be the following reason,
    Check the following,
Login as ADMIN and Goto -->Manage Instance-->Instance Settings--> Mail-->Maximum Emails per workspace
Actually this number denotes the Number of mails can be sent per 24 hour for the workspace,It may exceeded.
    It may be the reason.
    Thank you.

  • How many memory slots on latest iMac?

Thinking of purchasing iMac 27", 3.4; i5. From what I understand, the memory card access point is in the back, therefore easy to upgrade. How many memory card slots are there? Also, it is recommended at 32 max. Has anyone tried to up that to 64, and if so, any issues. I do a lot of photography with Adobe.
    Thank you in advance.

    1. Four.
    2. At this point, treat 32GB as being the limit.

  • How many different iPods can I sync with my single iMac user/iTunes account?

    Good Day to All,
Can anyone tell me how many different iPods & iPhones can I successfully consistently sync/integrate using my one "user account" in iTunes on my iMac? This ist situation:
I have always (and only) synced etc. my iPhone with my one iTunes UID which is under my ONE "User Account" on my  iMac. Recently, my elderly folks gave me 2 iPods they have never used. One is a little silver 4GB shuffle (the little guy with a built on "belt clip" & it verbally tells you what song and artist is playing. The other is also an iPod shuffle ( only 1GB), also has the metal "pinch to open; belt clip"; also no display, however it came with a little USB Dock and THIS ONE has all of the user controls on the face of it in a circular patter of course..
To have COMPLETE successful "interaction/integration/syncing" etc (with no issues/complications etc) with my iTunes currently and previously only used with my iPhone, do I have to create two new additional "User Login/accounts" on my iMac (one for each iPod) to have all three if my devices work perfectly fine, or can I just use my same iMac login (UID) & iTunes that I use with my iPhone and have no worries?
(ie: I created my girlfriend her own iMac login UID which she has always used for backing up/syncing etc her iPhone with HER iTunes library etc)
In short, does iTunes have the ability to have multiple iPods & my iPhone under my one existing iTunes account AND using the same single iMac login/UID I've always used with my iPhone?
Obviously, I know I could create an iMac login for my mom's, another for my dad's & create them both their individual iTunes accounts, but they really don't want to have to worry about dealing with all that. I'm teetering between just treating them as my iPods and mixing/adding their limited CD's into my library (again, if iTunes allows multiple iPods etc as explained above..
OR; my other thought would be (again, if one iTunes account can integrate the two iPods as seperate devices and to just create ONE iMac UID login and ONE iTunes account under my dad's name, and use that one account for both of their music, both of their iPods, importing their CD's into the same iTunes library, then when syncing etc. just doing selective transfers/sync's of the specific music for each iPod... Even then, will iTunes be able to differentiate the two as far as backups/restored etc? I think  answering my own question as I type due to the cloud... For completely individual cloud interaction/integration, I would def need to create each of them their own iTunes accounts, otherwise they will have all of each other's songs on their devices.. (ie: And my dad def doesn't want to worry about skipping over my mom's Journey or Aerosmith tunes to get to his Willie Nelson and vice versa for example.
(Sorry sooooo drawn out; thinking outloud) I guess it seems obvious that since all their digital music has to be on my iMac, I really should create them each their own iMac UID login as well as their own individual iTunes Acounts to insure cloud services work easily for restores/backups etc...
Thanks for stumbling thru my thought processes here (if I didn't lose ya long ago); I'm exhausted and throwing thoughts at the classroom board to see what sticks.... The best easiest way that is.. (The two aren't always the same obviously!)
Thank you all for your precious time and consideration and most if all; YOUR PATIENCE!! Any confirmation if the options and suggestions are greatly appreciated. You know, gotta take care of the folks & what is the simplest for them as just end users is the most important or they'll NEVER bother with them in the end...
    Respectfully appreciative,
    DB

You can use as many iPods with one iTunes library as you want.

  • I'm a school tech coordinator. Many computers and many iPads. How many Apple IDs can I have per device, and how many devices can have the same Apple ID? To make my life easier, I'd like 200 devices to all use the same Apple ID.

I'm a school tech coordinator. I have many computers and many iPads. I apologize if there is a some place that has all the rules governing the use of Apple IDs. I looked, and I even tried to get the answers from multiple Apple rep's. I couldn't find the answers.
How many Apple IDs can I have per device?
I want to use the same computer to sync and backup many iOS devices. The iOS devices would be associated with different Apple IDs.
I may load apps under a school Apple ID and have users load their own apps under thier own ID.
How many devices can have the same Apple ID?
Can I use the same Apple ID on all the computers in a lab?
Can I use the same Apple ID on all iPads for a particular grade level?
Are the rules different for iOS devices and computers?
I know that there are limits on "authorize" and "de-authorize" and how frequently those things can be done.
Recently I heard that for the life of an iOS device, it can only be associated with five Apple IDs. That is not good for a school giving iPads to students in a 1:1
To make my life easier, I'd like 200 devices to all use the same Apple ID.

  • How many itunes accounts are allowed per computer?

Hi, I'm trying to figure out the best way to handle configuring all 80 of the iPads my business is purchasing.  I know there is a limit of 10 devices per iTunes account.  How many iTunes accounts are permitted per computer? I tried to just create 8 apple ids, which I was able to do online.  But when I try to sign in to those on iTunes, once I get to the part where I verify with a credit card, I can not get past the 3rd one. I have previously signed in with 2 other accounts on my machine, so I'm wondering if there is a limit of 5 accounts per computer.  Can anyone verify?  If that's true, what suggestions do you have for how to get around or best manage this situation?
I'm not as much of a techie as I should be.. but thanks in advance for your help!!

    Hi allisonwfrom nc,
The limit you are referring to is for a single personal Apple ID (not for multiple users) that is allowed to be associated with a total of 10 devices (up to 5 computers and the rest on iOS devices). Example you can have 5 computers and 5 iOS devices, 3 computers and 7 iOS devices, but not 6 computers and 4 iOS devices.
    From http://www.apple.com/legal/itunes/us/terms.html#SERVICE
Association of Associated Devices is subject to the following terms:
    i) You may auto-download iTunes Auto-Delivery Content or download previously-purchased iTunes Eligible Content from an Account on up to 10 Associated Devices, provided no more than 5 are iTunes-authorized computers.
Again this is for a single user. For multiple users like in schools or businesses you need to use VPP to purchase multiple licenses. http://www.apple.com/business/vpp/
    APP STORE PRODUCT USAGE RULES
( i )If you are an individual acting in your personal capacity, you may download and sync an App Store Product for personal, noncommercial use on any iOS Device you own or control.
( ii ) If you are a commercial enterprise or educational institution, you may download and sync an App Store Product for use by either (a) a single individual on one or more iOS Devices used by that individual that you own or control or (b) multiple individuals, on a single shared iOS Device you own or control. For example, a single employee may use an App Store Product on both the employee's iPhone and iPad, or multiple students may serially use an App Store Product on a single iPad located at a resource center or library. For the sake of clarity, each iOS Device used serially by multiple users requires a separate license.
If you are an educational institution or business you will want to enroll in Apple's Volume Purchase Program (VPP) which allows a single Apple ID to purchase multiple licenses of an app.
There is a free OS X program called Apple Configurator that you can use to distribute the VPP codes to your fleet of iPads. Apple Configurator uses a single Apple ID to install apps on your iPads. Configurator will also allow you to install free apps on multiple iPads using a single Apple ID.
There are a few things I recommend you do to get started:
First I would watch the iOS Deployment Model Videos on the left side of this page:
    http://www.apple.com/education/resources/information-technology.html
Then I recommend you read through these two guides:
    iOS 6 Education Deployment Guide
    http://images.apple.com/education/docs/ios_6_education_deployment_guide.pdf
    Apple Configurator Help Guide
    http://help.apple.com/configurator/mac/1.0/
This will give you a solid foundation for managing iPads with Apple Configurator. Once you read through these guides you will likely have more specific questions that you can post to these forums.
    Hope this answers your question!
    ~Joe
