    color: #00F;
    margin-bottom: 0px;
    padding-top: 0;

    -webkit-border-radius: 32px;
    border-radius: 32px;
    /*behavior: url(border-radius.htc);*/
Try this:
.twoColHybLtHdr #header {
text-align: center;
background: #FFF url(la2.png); /**a background color req'd, color is up to you**/
color: #00F;
margin-bottom: 0px;
padding: 0 20px 0 10px;
border: 12px solid green /**border in pixels req'd, color is up to you**/
-moz-border-radius: 32px;
-webkit-border-radius: 32px;
-khtml-border-radius: 32px;
border-radius: 32px;
behavior: url(border-radius.htc);/**where path to HTC file is same as this page**/

    everything is very small, text, pics, programs dont even fill 1/4 of a page I can not read it and if i click apple plus things overlap each other so now what???

    Can you think of any recent changes on your computer or in Firefox, new programs, add-ons, etc.?
    Have any cats walked across your keyboard recently?
    My first guess is the same as yours, which is a "zoom" issue. Holding down the Command key and pressing 0 (zero) should reset the zoom level of the current site to the standard level. Is that still too small?
    Regarding content overlapping, this can occur for a few different reasons. Please check on these:
    (1) "Text Only" zoom
    If View menu > Zoom > Zoom Text Only has a checkmark, click it again to unselect it.
    (2) Manually setting font sizes
    In the Preferences dialog (either the "3-bar" menu button or the Firefox menu) > Content > "Advanced" button
    If the Minimum font size is set to a number larger than 9, change it to 9 or None. A large minimum font size often will wreck the layout.
    At the top, there is "Fonts for" drop-down that usually will say Latin or Other Writing Systems. You will want to make the same change for both of those, so select whichever one isn't currently displayed.
    Finally, make sure the checkbox for "Allow pages to choose their own fonts" is checked and OK out of the dialog.
    Any difference so far?

  • I just want to type on a plain piece of paper. I want to type several pages. I go to Pages and the blank paper has a text box around my type and only lets me type 400 words. How do I expand?

    I want to type several pages of text. I go to Pages and it puts a text box around my text and only allows 400 words. How do I get unlimited paper? Thanks in advance.

    On the introductory window, also make sure you pick from the top choices under Word Processing - I just use "Blank". If you choose the Blank under the sedon set (page layout), you will have to get a text box. I use that setting if I have a lot of images I want to insert and then have text around/near the images.
    See my screenshot here:
    When you're done with that page, it should automatically move to the next one or you can choose another blank page in the pulldown in the toolbar.

    Cannot see my text or the cursor after installing pages...

    At a guess you have simply chosen a blank Layout mode template.
    Blank Layout templates have absolutely nothing on them, you have to add your own textboxes.
    Choose a Word Processing template, they are listed in the Template Chooser sidebar.

  • Text blur around objects

    Problem: text wrapped around an inserted object blurs, especially if the object has a shade. Increasing the Extra Space around the object reduces the blur, but does not get rid of it. And trying to achieve a wrap tighter than the default 12 points makes the blur very noticeable. The blur, though less visible, appears when Reflection, the jolly new feature in Pages 2, is used to go over text underneath an object.
    This problem is particularly troublesome when producing professional print PDFs.
    To see what I am talking about open the first page of the Smith Family Newsletter template and have a look at the characters to the right of the house photo in the centre of the page.
    Has anyone dealt with this successfully? Would be very obliged if you could point me to a solution.

    Hello sashura,
    this happens when exporting to minor quality PDFs, because of the conversion of the shadow and reflection effects into images. Lower quality PDFs are stored with lower resolutions for bitmap images. If you need 1A PDF quality, use the ColorSync app for PDF saving. To do so, follow these steps:
    1) Open the print requester in Pages and choose the item "ColorSync" in the 3rd pop-up menu.
    2) There choose the last entry (for adding filter) of the pull-down menu "Quarz-Filter". Your document will be open in the ColorSync app.
    3) Click on the button with the three filters in the tool bar of the window and a new window opens.
    4) Create a new filter and name it for a PDF/X-3 filter.
    5) Over the menu triangle button at the right of the filter name bar you can add filter content. Choose the component for PDF submenu and there the PDF/X-3 item.
    6) Now you can see the filter attributes. In the row before the last one you can insert the resolution. This is important for shadows and fonts above and inside of shadowed shapes, too. With the attributes you have control over trim- and bleed boxes as well.
    7) When you are ready with your settings, close the filter window and choose the just created filter with the pop-up menu at the bottom of the ColorSync window. Than press the accept button and save the PDF document.
    With this you have the best control for PDF print options.
    I hope this solves your problem, because since I use this I have no display quality problems for printing.

  • How do i move pages around in my pages document??

    I have done an assignment  through iwork on pages and i would like to move the pages around into order?? Can someone please help me??

    Roisin,
    I'll assume that you have a normal Word Processing template document. The answer also depends on whether there is any Floating object content mixed in with the text. We'll assume not.
    Set the cursor to the end of the previous page's content, then scroll without moving the content to the end of the page you wish to move. Now Shift-Click at the end of the page to select the entire page and Command-X.
    Now set the Text Insertion cursor at the end of the page just above where you want to drop the content you Cut and Command-V.

  • After page submit, cursor is displaced :(

    Hi there developers!
    Probleb:
    I have a textfiled that always submits when "Enter" is pressed.(Redirects to the same page)
    But the problem is that when i press "Enter"(or "SUBMIT" button) and the page is submitted and redirected to the same page, my cursor(focus) goes to next textfield. I want it to stay on the first textfield. In any other languages and programming environments there are "TAB sequences". "Sequence" in APEX
    is only for display or process order.
    Is it possible to control that in APEX.
    Best Regards,
    Ruslan.

    Yes and No. there is no such parameter as tab-sequence (like in app developer ide's), but if you play around with item parameter "Sequence" - its not only the position in the window, it also works as tab operator. tab also tabs to other page objects like images, buttons and labels but if you put the form correctly - it works like a charm.
    take a large form page, tab through it: 1) it tabs items (text fields) 2) tabs buttons 3) tabs browser fields (addess bar) 4) tabs item labels. so its kinda working..
    try putting cursor on the first item that has to be filled with the script i pasted.

  • Does the higher resolution of the retina display mean smaller text

    Hi,
    I have trouble seeing smaller text, and I am wondering if the higher resolution on the 13 inch macbook pro with retinal display will make Safari's menu and fonts or any other applications fonts smaller and therfore harder to read.
    I figured a higher resolution means more can fit on a page and therefore everything is smaller.  Not sure though?

    In the Displays Preferences, you can choose the actual resolution you want displayed on the monitor. You're correct that a higher resolution will provide more screen real-estate at the expense of everything, including text, being smaller. You can also choose to make everything larger but less will fit on the screen. You just can't have it both ways unless you get a 27" LED display and plug it into the MacBook Pro. Just don't try to carry it around.

  • Why is the small text blurry on photoshop?

    why is the small text blurry on photoshop? i am **** a very small advert for a newspaper! and the text is printing blurry and when zoomed in is appearing all blurry? how do i stop this i only have photoshop and indesign

    If a vector is intact, no flattening has been done. I don't talk about PDF layers, they are a complete different thing. When flattening is done no form or text survives as live vector or live text.
    The pdf is X-1, so there are no Layers or transparencies in it, but the text is searchable still.
    So I guess you are correct in that no flattening has happened, rather Photohop embedded two images in the pdf and clipped the one with the type.
    Exaclty, whe a pDF X1 or 3 is created transparency is flattened and here it can come to unwanted rasterizing of vectors.
    How will you create the correct boxes for bleed and crop in Photoshop?
    For a newspaper add those will probably be irrelevant as bleed is hardly necessary.
    Not at all, it is much easier to assamble files in a greater layout if all boxes are correct.
    You know it good enough that this is not the right tool for that task?
    Indesign is definitely the preferable tool for the task at hand, but claiming Photoshop cannot output type except pixelated was not proper.
    I think in a forum we should not support the use of wrong tools but we have to show the best way to do things correct.
    And there are also problems which cannot avoided with higher knowledge like coloured black (not in this ad). Yes, you an me we are capable to shift around the known problems with ads created in Photoshop, but others don't know these problems and will crash.

  • Text flow around objects such as giraffe neck in sample

    Hi
    I am new here. I bought pages yesterday. Awesome app. On the example pages there is a giraffe and the text flows around it's neck. When I tried to do something similar the text only flows around the whole square image imported regardless of white space. How do you get text to flow around non square objects.
    In the getting started there is a butterfly and the golden viewer. In those cases the text also flows around the non square shape of these objects
    Do you need an app to cut out such objects and paste them direct into pages?
    Or in other words : how did they get the text to flow around giraffe neck?
    Thanks a mil
    Corne

    ...If following the instructions there for "+Wrap text around an object"+ doesn't do it, it implies that you'll have to cut around the image first. And this phrase there, seems to suggest that you'll have to cut around first:
    "Especially if you have images with irregular outlines, you can use text wrap to create visually playful layouts in which the text follows the contours of the image."

  • IWork won't allow small text to be antialiased in PDFs

    Are there any PDF / iWork / OS X experts out there who can please help with this one?
    I have three documents which were to be printed as A5 booklets. As a result I formatted them on A5 pages using small text (7 and 8 point). I know this sounds small but they look fine printed out and the photocopier does a a great job of making the 30 page booklets.
    The problem I have is when I export to PDF for use of the documents on screen the 7 and 8 pt text is not antialiased, no matter what zoom setting is used to view the documents. 9 pt text seems to be the smallest text that is antialiased in OS X but at least in Pages when you zoom in the smoothing effect is applied for easy on-screen reading and editing. However, in Preview (or Quicklook) any sub-9 pt text looks awful at every zoom setting even though I have Preview set to 'smooth text and line art'.
    The only potential workaround seems to be increasing the page size and scale in 'page setup…' in Pages but because the document is quite complex this leads to a lot of layout errors. I realise now I should have started with a larger page, reducing the scale when printing.
    (Just to make things more confusing, Textedit shows unsmoothed sub-9 pt text at every zoom setting but DOES export PDFs with antialiased sub-9 pt text.)
    Can anyone see another workaround? Thanks!

    Thanks again everyone. It is possible my original issue has become lost with these super-close-ups! Yvan seems to have noticed what I have, so even though his text is huge (and therefore very smooth), you can see that Preview isn't anti-aliasing the text. My problem is viewing the text at relatively small sizes. My 7 and 8 point text end up looking like this in Preview:
    If I scale the text up (by altering the page size and scale in Pages > Page setup) then the text looks less jaggy in Preview. Unfortunately this process messes up my formatting throughout the document. These screen grabs were taken while the PDFs were the same size on the screen:
    Just to emphasise my point, here is the effect of toggling the 'smooth text and line art' setting in Preview. 7 and 8 point text from Pages is never anti-aliased for me!
    Sorry for the delay - away from broadband at the moment so sharing the files was a struggle (and this is the first time I've tried this so bear with me if it doesn't work...)
    Thanks again.

  • How do I copy a photo from iPhoto and paste it into a text/Pages document?

    How do I copy a photo from iPhoto and paste it into a text/Pages document (using iMaC)?

    Use the Media browser in Pages and just drag the image over.

  • Small Text when printing

    When I type a message in Mail in Arial 12pt regular font, it seems smaller than it should. I tested it by printing the message, and comparing it to the same font created in Word (also in Pages, FireFox, and iWeb) showed that the text from Mail is at least 2pt smaller than the other apps.
    Tested with other fonts as well.
    Everything works fine in other applications. Word used to have the same issue, but I deleted the font cache and restarting fixed that.
    And, yes, I have restarted both Mail and the laptop (Mbp 17").
    No other apps are running.

    First thing I would do is set every print job to have a preview. Go into the Windows menu, Printers folder, right click your printer icon, left click Printing Preferences, features tab, click Show preview before printing, left click Apply, finally left click Okay.
    How long has this been printing small text? Did it start after updating something or installing something? If that is the case, then the change could have affected the print settings. Is it only from the web browser? Is it only from a few programs, or all programs that can print?
    Printing from the internet can give mixed results. Pages can have their own encoding for printing functions, which can complicate things. I find that if I capture the portion that I want to print, and then paste it into Word (or WordPad), then it will print out much better. If there are images, several captures may be necessary to print the areas wanted properly.

  • How to zoom into small text in Title Edit Window?

    Ok,
    So when I am putting in disclaimer text in the Title edit window, I can't read it.  I could if I could zoom into it or at least increase the scaling of the video preview.
    Someone else has had to have had this problem.  As you can see from the attached image, all the wasted extra space around the video, if I could just zoom in like you can on the preview window I could read it.
    How can I zoom into the area I am trying to edit with small text???
    Pleas help, anyone???

    First of all Reset Current workspace, does not seen to fit the window also I would make the titler a floating window.
    You cannot zoom in but you can make it full screen by hitting the 'tilde"(grave) key.
    You can also scale up the text, adjust, and scale it down again.

  • Text Page

    I am using PS7 to make a website. Have a number of layers done and want to add a long text page Cannot see how. Tried new but that takes me out of that folder, and I want them all together when I upload them
    Please help!. Mel

    That IS the direct way. Open the HTML file and edit it in Notepad. You could do this in ImageReady (see below)...but I think just adding it in the appropriate place in the HTML is easier.
    From Help:
    Adding HTML text to a slice
    Choosing the No Image type for a slice lets you enter text that will appear in the slice area of the resulting Web page. This text is HTML text--you can format it using standard HTML tags. You can also select vertical and horizontal alignment options. For more information on specific HTML tags, see an HTML reference (either printed or on the Web).
    Photoshop and ImageReady do not display HTML text in the document window; you must use a Web browser to preview the text. (See Setting and viewing slice options.) Keep in mind that the appearance of text is affected by the browser settings and operating system it is viewed on. Be sure to preview HTML text in different browsers, with different browser settings, and on different operating systems to see how text will appear on the Web.
    Note: The amount of text in a No Image slice can affect the layout of an exported page. Be sure to experiment with your design in several browsers to ensure consistency.
    To add HTML text to a slice:
    1. Select a slice. If you are working in Photoshop, double-click the slice with the Slice Select tool to display the Slice Options dialog box.
    2. In the Slice Options dialog box (Photoshop) or the Slice palette (ImageReady), select No Image from the Type pop-up menu.
    3. Type the desired text in the text box.
    4. (Photoshop Save for Web dialog box and ImageReady) If the text includes HTML formatting tags, select the Text is HTML option. When this option is deselected, all the text you enter (including formatting tags) will be displayed in the resulting Web page.
    5. (Photoshop Save for Web dialog box and ImageReady) If desired, select options in the Cell Alignment section of the dialog box.
    Horizontal alignment options:
    * Default to use the browser's default for horizontal alignment
    * Left to align the text to the left side of the slice area
    * Center to align the text to the center of the slice area
    * Right to align the text to the right side of the slice area
    Vertical alignment options:
    * Default to use the browser's default for vertical alignment.
    * Top to align the text to the top of the slice area.
    * Baseline to set a common baseline for the first line of text in cells in the same row (of the resulting HTML table). Each cell in the row must use the Baseline option.
    * Middle to center the text vertically in the slice area.
    * Bottom to align the text to the bottom of the slice area.
    By the way, there are lots of free HTML editors you can find on the Internet. Arachnophilia is one. Look around for more. Much better than trying to make web pages in Photoshop.
