Image no show

Hi,
Sorry posted in HTML section and reposted here as thought
this was more appropriate place for query.
Not having the budget to pay for a website to be developed I
set up my own using some helpful templates and tutorials
(www.actionresearch.ltd.uk). Only problem is that none of the
images or backgrounds are displaying and am not sure what is wrong.
All images are saved to an "Image" file in the public directory and
as far as I can tell the codes are right (see attached code). Can
anyone shed any light?

  • Spry Bug? Background Colors/Images not showing in IE6/XpP

    I'm trying to wrap up my site for MiniMAX SE7EN (Cheap plug,
    it's on 6/26 in DC) and I've got a Spry Accordion Component I used
    in Dreamweaver CS3 to display all the speakers and then I switched
    the CSS file to allow for different colors and a background image
    to show through. Seems fine in Firefox and IE7 but in IE6 for PC's,
    it appears black and only black. Is this a Spry bug or something I
    screwed up with regarding the CSS?
    http://www.minimaxconference.com/

    I am having the same problems in IE7. I'm using the latest
    version of everything (Spry 1.6.1 and javascript file version 0.12)
    and at first I was having the problem on my drop down menus
    appearing horizontal with all the correct styles but when I changed
    the rule ul.MenuBarHorizontal ul to position: relative; the drop
    downs appear vertical now but I have no beige border around the
    whole ul anymore and I'm getting white space inbetween list items.
    http://www.wusf.usf.edu/Header_Nav_Footer_newStyleSheet.cfm
    so if anyone has any advice I'd much appreciate it. Also i'm
    using 1px width on my borders no decimals.

  • How to change the default BC image that shows in the address bar?

    Does anyone know how to change the default BC image that shows in the address bar? I want to swap it out so the client logo shows next to their URL.
    Thank you!

    Hi,
    If you are trying to change the favicon for your site,
    You can do it from Site Manager-> Page template -> Default Template
    Look for the code   <link type="image/x-icon" href="/Path for your image" rel="icon" />, and Click save.
    Now where you will use this template, it will display your favicon for that webpage instead of BC favicon. You can define it on Page directly if you are not going to use template.
    Please let me know if you have any doubt.

    I am trying to play a DVD on my MacBook Pro and transmit it to my TV (using my TV as the monitor) utilizing a VGA cable and adapter for the Mac but the only image that shows up on the TV is the MacBook wall paper, any ideas on how I can transmit the movie from my MacBook to the TV?  I also tried an HDMI cable and had the same issue.

    you are probably seeing the extended display.. to see ur main display go to pefrences then display steeings and turn mirroring on.
    this will display ur mbp main screen. good luck.

  • Dreamweaver MX: Image is showing as a grey placeholder box, and I can't place my hotspots...

    Hello:
    I know, old school with Dreamwevaer MX, but I need some help here. I've made half a dozen pages in exactly the same way as this one: insert a jpeg image, hotspot the text/areas I want to be links, and call it a day. Well in this page, the image always shows up as a gray placeholder box, thereby preventing me from seeing where the hotspots need to be and completing the page. I'm inserting the code here in case there's some hiccup in the code that I don't see. I've compared it line-by-line with another page that works properly, and I don't see any structural differences. I even re-saved the image in web format under a new name and constructed a new HTML page to see if the old one had just soured or something. No go.
    In fact, the only difference between this hotspotted image and the others is that this one is much longer. But I had a previous version of this page that was working fine before, and the image was just as long, so I don't understand why replacing the image has caused such a meltdown.
    Thank for any help in advance!
    Kurt

    Yeah, I know, it's not pretty programming. However, usually it's effective, quick and allows me complete control over everything from font to perfect element placement. I don't need to site to be dynamic in the least, since I'll only be updating it minimally once a year.
    Are there any size limits to the images DW MX can handle that anyone knows about?

  • Some images not showing on ipad when book is previewed

    When I preview the book in progress, some images only appear in the thumbnails, not on the full page view. These same images were showing up a few versions ago.  Other images are showing up just fine.

    Hi KT and Anyone Else Who Could Help,
    One thing I noticed is the images that are not showing up are all captioned, but with background shut off. I have a few image galleries as well, but those ARE showing up.
    Some images are jpegs, others are pngs, but there is no pattern or correlation between image type and showing up, not showing up.
    Besides, they all showed up previously.
    So I removed the caption from one image and now it is showing up!
    But I am nearly certain that in an earlier version WITH captions, they all showed, and I would like to keep the captions.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks so much!
    Belinda

  • Image Capture shows no devices (again)

    Hi,
    I have a MacBook Air (2012) running Mac OS X 10.9.1, 1.8GHz Intel Core i5, with 4GB ram.
    I have a Cannon MP510, it shows up on the list of printers in the System Preferences.
    I had a similar problem with the previous operating system (see https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5419672)
    I now have a Time Capsule and I have tried connecting the printer to my laptop with USB and also via the Airport Time Capsule (both by USB).
    The MP510 show up in Printers & Scanners but no Scan, and Image Capture shows no devices as being found.
    I have looked at:
    http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer/printers_multifunction/pixma_mp_s eries/pixma_mp510#DriversAndSoftware
    But they have no drivers for 10.9.1 but I did try the driver for 10.8 again.
    I have made sure that the printer is in Scan mode, I have tried Scan to PC, and Scan to PDF. (There isnt a Scan to Mac)
    Any ideas on how I can get my MacBook to detect that the MP510 is also a scanner so that I can use image capture (or any other free software) to get scanned images on to my Mac?
    Thanks,
    Mulder

    I have downloaded Cannon's MP Navigator and it says that it cannot communicate with the scanner, Scanner driver will be closed, and number 155.0.0

  • Mail, how can you remove an image that shows up in the header?

    I have no idea how this image got where it is, but I would like to remove it. When I open Mail, I see in the address area of the email as it displays in the message viewer, to the very right of that area, there is an image, that I have no idea how it got there or how to remove. The following is a link (I think) Mail/Users/alaska_juliens/Desktop/Picture 7.png ...... that shows what I am talking about. I have gone through my signatures and made sure that image isn't in there and it isn't. Please help, it is driving my husband nuts, we would love to change the image to his company logo if possible, but we don't know if that image even shows up when others receive email from us or not (we email ourselves and it is right there in the address header of the email). Thank you for your time and help.
    Mail/Users/alaska_juliens/Desktop/Picture 7.png

    Typically what shows up there is the address book picture for that contact. If they attach an image it will be added to the address book.
    So go to the contact in address book and change or delete the image.

    Your spry assets folder MUST be in the same folder as that of your webpage with the slideshow (html, php... whatever)
    Check your folder configuration on the server by clicking on the "Remote Button" on the DW Assets Tab.
    Example 1:  This will not work:
    WEBPAGE HERE:    /server/public/myfolder/slideshow.html
    SPRY ASSETS HERE:  /server/public/SpryAssets/....your javascript files
    Example 2: This will work:
    WEB PAGE HERE:  /server/public/myfolder/slideshow.html
    SPRY ASSETS HERE:  /server/public/myfolder/SpryAssets/....your javascript files
    Hope this helps.

  • Images not showing in Mail, just generic JPG icon...

    I have this problem with Mail (v3.6, Leopard 10.5.8) not displaying images in html messages anymore. The problem is mostly with the emails i'm sending. Back on Tiger, you could drag and drop an image and it would show inline right there where your cursor would be in the message. Now it goes at the bottom, showing the generic Preview.app JPG icon with the name and size of the file underneath the icon. If I try to compose a message using on of Apple's stationaries, half of the images are not showing, instead once again giving me the generic icon. I do have the option of displaying HTML images turned on in the prefs. A picture is worth a thousand words, so here it is :
    http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/25424/mail_problem.jpg
    If I send this to friends, half of them get a correct looking email while the other half gets missing images where the original image was showing as an icon for me. Trying to save the email message as a PDF will have missing images too.
    What's going on here? Thanks!!!

    Same problem here. Some background images show up, top, bottom and corner images not. Opening the 'content.html' file in Safari: no problem.
    No idea what's going on.

  • Images not showing on report in infoview

    I have a letterhead report that has multiple pages with members accounts etc. I have a image in Page Header and one in Report Footer. If I run this report with multiple accounts that would bring back say 5 Records(5 Letterheads) on Crystal Reports it works fine but soon as I post and run in infoview the images on show on 1st and 2nd record after that there is a box saying image loading which never loads so if you print out letterheads the image is only on 2 pages the rest have just the account info etc.
    Any ideas?

    Which version of BO or Crystal Report Server are you using to access InfoView...?
    What happens if you SCHEDULE the report in InfoView to Crystal and PDF formats...?

  • Getting images to show in Apex that are stored in the DB

    I'm trying to get an image to show in html code or javascript that I store in the DB. It shows in an IR but I can't get it to show in a html <img> tag.
    My DB is an oracle XE 11 DB and I'm using Apex 4.
    This is my table:
    CREATE TABLE "MAP_IMG_POS"
    (     "ID" NUMBER(10,0),
         "ID_MAP_IMAGE" NUMBER(10,0),
         "ID_POSITION" NUMBER(10,0),
    "ID_SERVER" NUMBER(10,0),
         "CREATION_USER" VARCHAR2(255),
         "CREATION_DATE" DATE,
         "MODIFICATION_USER" VARCHAR2(255),
         "MODIFICATION_DATE" DATE);
    I added PK, triggers, sequence etc
    I insert the images using an Apex form.
    I found this procedure to get the images:
    create or replace
    PROCEDURE my_image_display(p_image_id IN NUMBER)
    AS
    l_mime VARCHAR2 (255);
    l_length NUMBER;
    l_file_name VARCHAR2 (2000);
    lob_loc BLOB;
    BEGIN
    SELECT MIME_TYPE, IMAGE, DBMS_LOB.getlength (image)
    INTO l_mime, lob_loc, l_length
    FROM map_images
    WHERE id = p_image_id;
    OWA_UTIL.mime_header (NVL (l_mime, 'application/octet'), FALSE);
    HTP.p ('Content-length: ' || l_length);
    OWA_UTIL.http_header_close;
    WPG_DOCLOAD.download_file (lob_loc);
    END my_image_display;
    and put it in my schema.
    I gave the following grants in my Shema:
    GRANT EXECUTE ON schema1.my_image_display TO PUBLIC;
    CREATE PUBLIC SYNONYM my_image_display FOR schema1.my_image_display;
    I created a html region and added the following code:
    <img src="#OWNER#.my_image_display?p_image_id=2"/>
    2 ofc being the id of one of the images.
    Yet when I load the page the image won't show. I do get a little icon when I right click it and check the code I just see:
    http://127.0.0.1:8080/apex/SCHEMA1.my_image_display?p_image_id=2
    Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? I'm also open for suggestions on other ways to do this..
    I appreciate all the help!

    After a long search and much much reading..
    Re: HTP.Print not working
    This finally helped me ;-)

  • Image slide show...

    Hi,
    If I have a Flash web page with a button and I'd like an
    image slide show to launch at the top of the page upon one clicking
    the button, plus the slide show container to have the play/pause,
    forward, backward controls, along with small numbers 1-10
    (appropriate number highlighted for which photo you are viewing)
    also...how much time would it be to set up the controls,
    actionScript / interactivity? (a guesstimate)
    If I'm creating and prepping all images, buttons, etc -- just
    need someone to actionScript and set up the controls, how much
    would you estimate this would cost and, as above, timeframe in
    hours?
    Thank you! Just trying to get an idea.

    I'm sure I remember a few years ago now a heated discussion
    on whether it counts as price fixing to discuss fees in an online
    forum.
    It really depends on who was doing it. As a guesstimate I'd
    say 4-5 hours from scratch which would cover setting it up and
    probably one revision. If you were happy to use a component that
    was designed for it then a fraction of that time, probably under an
    hour. You'll pay more for someone with experience, but then they're
    probably faster and the standard of the work will be higher.
    In my opinion it's worth paying a little more for a quality
    company who may foresee problems you overlook rather than pinching
    the pennies, but that's your call.
    If you're looking to do it on the cheap then buy a component
    and have their technical support set it up (or at least help you)
    for free.

  • Adobe Web Gallery- can't get more than 10 images to show up

    I am trying to create a Web Gallery from within Bridge (CS4), but I'm not having any luck getting more than 10 images to show up when I create the Gallery, even though I'm selecting nearly 50 images (all in the same folder) that I'd like to be in the Gallery. Does anyone know if there's a limit to the number of images that can be used in an AWG? I can't seem to find ANY documentation that sheds light on that subject. All I know is that no matter WHAT I do, I can only get Bridge to create a Gallery with TEN images!! Very frustrating. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Assuming the obvious that in Bridge content panel you have selected all the
    files you want in the web galery
    First try a purge cache for folder using the menu Tools/purge cache for
    folder when having Bridge pointed to the problem folder.
    Second try a reset preferences with option key while restarting Bridge.
    I wish that were the case - it's only outputing up 10 images...

    In iphoto, when I click on Print, the preview image it shows me is an enlarged section of my photo. (In iphoto I hadI cropped the photo and checked "with no restraints." )
    Once the photo goes to Print, I can't fix it back to the way it is in iphoto.

    It is working now. I no longer get the message about the item not being available in the US and I can access the store.
