Images not showing on Form

Question

We are setting up and migrating to a new 10g Forms/report server. Release 10.1.2.0.2. We are running on Solaris 10.
We are moving up from Forms 6.
The main screen of our app has many images each of which when clicked on branch you off into an area of the app.
The images are not displaying when run from the app server but work fine when run from Forms builder.
On the server side the forms and the images are in /oracle/apps/iceman
In default.env:
FORMS_PATH=/oracle/apps/iceman:/oracle/apps/aces:/oracle/apps/erms:/oracle/product/ias10g/forms
(We have multple apps)
In formsweb.cfg:
[iceman]
workingDirectory=/oracle/apps/iceman
envFile=default.env
form=apism100.fmx (this is the one not working right)
imageBase=DocumentBase
On the app server in the /oracle/apps/iceman directory...
<epaias1d> (iasdev) /oracle/apps/iceman>
$ ls -l *.bmp
-rw-r--r-- 1 oracle dba 1882 Jun 3 14:14 aqs.bmp

-rw-r--r-- 1 oracle dba 1938 Jun 3 14:14 issis.bmp
In the pre_form trigger:

(it's clearly a config issue and not a coding issues since it works in Forms Builder on the PC but not when we push it up to the app server)
According to the docs I have read forms path and imageBase being set should take care it. So what incredibly obvious thing am I missing? :)

It seems fine to me - according to documentation it should retrieve the image from a folder in the FORMS_PATH; The only thing is that in our installation we only use .bmp for our Reports, for Forms we converted everything to .jpg and put them in a .jar file, it improves performance.
