IMAQ user palette not updating outside video loop

I'm trying to implement a program with a separate video loop and am having issues with changing the user palette. I'm not sure right now, but I think it might be because I'm changing it in another non-video dedicated loop. Does LabVIEW have a problem with copying an image from an IMAQ buffer and trying to simultaneously change the user palette for an image control? My initial guess would be no, but then I don't think I'd be having this problem. Here's a little example of what I mean. Off-line, you can change the image palette to any of the default palettes, but trying to change to the custom user palettes (which do work under any other circumstances) while running video and it does nothing.
Any ideas as to why the property nodes aren't working?

I may need some clarification on what your application is, and what is not behaving as expected. I'm assuming that by "separate video loop" you mean that there's a secondary loop in your program acquiring video. What kind of video is it acquiring? I also am assuming that your user palette is not being used to effect the video, but another image display entirely, is that correct? I can see some of these in your program, but I want to be sure.
LabVIEW should have no trouble copying from a buffer while changing the image control. Are they for different images or the same image? Also, you say that "off-line" you can change the image palette to any of the defaults -- what do you mean by off-line? Any more specifics you can give me as to your application and what exactly is going wrong would be helpful, thank you.

What is the Outlook client you are using? Is it 2003 or 2007+
You are right, you don;t have to update the OAB manually, the kind of issue you are facing is very know (As far as I experienced). After you update the OAB manually, check the issue and it should be fine.
After that create a Test User and check in Outlook if you see it populated.

Exchange user information not updating from AD

I just recently updated Job Titles, Location, and Phone numbers for users in Active directory. For some reason
not all of the information is be transferred to Exchange. I noticed this because it isn't updating in the GAL either. I went to Exchange Management console and the information isn't there either. I look at AD on that same machine and it's all there. What would
be causing Exchange not to sync this information. How can I check to see what is broken. I'm not really know how this is supposed to work.

First off, Exchange has no directory information of its own - all directory information that it has, it gets from the Windows Active Directory. It will hold permission information for a time period, but no other directory settings are saved automatically.
So if you are changing things in the Active Directory and you aren't seeing it in Exchange, there are two possible reasons: 1) what you are changing in AD isn't the same as what you think you are changing in Exchange, and 2) your Exchange system is reading
from one domain controller and you are making the changes while connected to another (and directory replication hasn't completed). In order to check for #1, you say you changed the fields above - what do you see if you change those same fields on the
Exchange system? Do this on one test account, then open the account in ADSIEdit to see what all of the fields are set to. If the reason is #2, wait 15 minutes and see if the information is updated.
As for Exchange not updating the GAL, the GAL is taken straight from the Windows Active Directory in real time, so we're back to #1 and #2 above - for the most part. However, the Offline Address Book that you see in Outlook is only updated (by default)
late at night and downloaded when Outlook is first opened the next day. So if you are checking for changes in Outlook, Outlook will use the Offline Address Book by default, but you can force it to check with the online address list on a case-by-case
basis by changing the address list. So make sure you are selecting one of the non-default address lists to find the information, not the default.

User staus not updating

    I have assigned one status profile to inspectioon type04. In this status profile i have assigned two status A & B
When the inspection lot is get generated instial status A is get assigned automaticaly .
Status A ( no usage decision allowed)
Status B ( UD allowed )
   But sytem is not updating next status   B automaticaly. I have select it manualy .

Close inspection complete i activated the indicator 'set'
if u press F1 for this indicator gives messege
"Flag: Set status
Indicator which specifies that the status is to be activated when this business transaction is carried out."
Here i want to ask one question which status will be activated in my case will it B? if i am closing all inspection

Palette not updated with user.lib files

I took a certified driver file, put it in user.lib, rename the project file and containing folder. I opened the renamed project, change the VI icon colors of all project files, relink all missing files to user.lib directory, saved all the files, saved the project. Then I restart LV2014 and no menu appear in Tools User Libraries.
Has anyone tested this using LV2014 or older?

Just an FYI there is a Refresh Palette funciton under the Application Control >> Palette Editing which can be used for testing. It won't refresh the tools menu but it allows you to modify files and MNUs in the user.lib then call that refresh to see if it worked without having to restart LabVIEW.

Media Encoder CS6 Avid DNxHD video codec settings do not update in video settings tab

I want to encode a file to Avid DNxHD, but I am unable to change the resolution in the codec settings. I am choosing Avid DNxHD codec within the video codec tab, then clicking on codec settings and choosing a resolution from the resolutions pulldown menu. It will let me choose different resolutions from that menu, but after I hit okay, it has no effect on changing the video settings the way it's supposed to. For instance, if I try to encode a file that is 1280x720 with a source frame rate of 23.98, and I choose 1080i/59.94 DNxHD 145 8-bit, the frame size and frame rate does not change in the video settings tab. I am running Media Encoder CS6.0.2 on a Mac with OS 10.8.4. I am using Avid quicktime codecs v.2.3.7, because my system is running Avid Symphony 6.0.2.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

No one ever responded unfortunately and I never figured out a work around.
In Media Encoder CC there is a system preset for DNxHD MXF which I've used
to yield Avid files. The weird thing is that the CC version does the exact
same thing as the CS6 if you choose quicktime, DNxHD codec, and try to
change the codec settings. None of the settings update. If you find out
anything more about this I'd appreciate getting an update. Thanks!

ERROR VIRSA CC 5.2 - Management View -User Analisys - NOT UPDATED!!!!!

i executed the JOB of SYNK of users, the Job of RISK analysis and the JOB of update of management Report .
When i go in - Management View - User Analisys -( i select date , System , User Group ) Virsa CC shows me the correct number of users actually in the system, for this user group , according to USR02 SAP table , BUT Users with NO Violations and Users With Violations are not correct.
I show results:
No. of Users Analyzed : 25                CORRECT
Users with no Violations : 95 379%     NOT CORRECT
Users with Violations : -70 -279%        NOT CORRECT
The Interactive pie chart shows the correct number of users with violations : 2

You stated in your initial comment that the Management Report check box was NOT selected? If this is the case then the graphs on the informer tab have not been updated. You must first execute the SOD (user/role/profile) analysis, once that job is complete then execute a separate job for the management reports. This will then update the informer tab (given that your rule set has been updated with your custom functions and risks).

Network User List Not Updating

I manage a lab of ~30 iMacs which are bound to an Open Directory on a G5. The client computers set so that their login windows show only network users accounts in a list. However, they don't seem to be getting the actual list of network users from the server. Rather, in /Library/Preferences/com.apple.loginwindow.plist there is a NetworkUsers array which contains the users listed by loginwindow. No matter what this array is never updated, not since it was originally created it seems. Furthermore, if I delete the plist, loginwindow reverts to name/password fields and never gets the list of network users. Clients can still log in, and MCX settings are updating correctly, it's just that loginwindow can/does retrieve the network users to display in the list. I've tried refreshing preferences, rebinding the computers, changing the computerlist settings on the server, deleting the MCX cache...just about everything I can think of short of clean installing the clients and/or the server (which, ya know, I'd really rather avoid . I've seen several other topics in the discussions that sound similar to mine but all seem to have slight variations and none seem to be fully answered so I'm sure many would appreciate any help on this topic. All of the computers are running 10.4.4.

I had already checked (search based) that as I had that with 10.3 and 10.4 server.
I did however solve it today, but am not 100% sure on what I did.
Here is what I tried.
I was trying to add restart to the applemenu, and did so and the restart appeared, but was then trying to look for ways to remove the logout so as to force the users to restart rather than logout but could not find it. I looked in the forced com.apple.finder.plist which was under the details options in preferences rather than the finder icon, and since there was no key in there I removed it from the computer list prefs and the pupils groups prefs. I then looked at the finder prefs from the icon in system prefs on WGM and noticed that I had blue dashes meaning some set some not. I cleared them be setting them as I wanted and then double checked but noticed they were back to dashes so did them again by doing never then apply and then always and resetting them to as I want (I think that is was I did) and then checked and they were ticked or unticked and no dashes. I then just happened to log on with a client to see if the applemenu was fine and noticed that it no longer showed the restart so had to log off upon which the list appeared.
I think that one of the com.apple.finder.plist in either the group or computer list details prefs was the problem.
I hope that it is okay and will stay like this, until I relook at to why the restart is not happening and knowing sods law will solve that but get no list again.

Login window user list not updating

I have set up a lab of emacs with os x 10.4 server and clients. The login window of the clients dispays a list of users. I added and imported a bunch of users and it all worked fine. I then updated to 10.4.4 and then backed up my server volume.
For some weird reason I can no longer see any additional users that I add in workgroup manager...infact even if I delete users this change is not reflected in the list of users in the login window.
-I have restarted the workstations and the server.
-I have deleted the DirectoryService folder off the client and reset all the Directory settings.
-I have udated the client to 10.4.4.
-I have mucked around with computer management settings in Workgroup Manager.
I am currently out of ideas. I'm not sure if the list of users I am seeing on the worksation is from a local cache or if its getting this bogus list from the server...Is there a cache file somewhere on the local machines that isn't being updated?
Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me cause at this stage I am starting to get a bit worried

Hi Rob, I think it'll be listed alphabetically, but maybe putting a spave before your name will put at the top- haven't tested it but works with other things within the system.

IMAQ write palette not visible

I have installed NI Vision 2011 but IMAQ write file vi is not visible but IMAQ write file 2 vi is visible. No idea what is the problem.
I am using labview 2011 on windows 7.
Kudos are always welcome if you got solution to some extent.
I need my difficulties because they are necessary to enjoy my success.

Write2 replaces Write. It handles file formats differently. I believe there is a legacy option during install that will put these earlier versions of Vision VIs into a separate folder, if needed. Check the Device Drivers Install CD, and DVD 2.

Single user not updating GAL/OAB

Hello there TechNet.
I have a client where one single user is not updating the Global Address List/Offline Address Book. He is not seeing some users, where everyone else in the company is seeing the user. This is specific to his outlook.
I have gone in and looked for *.oab files to delete, so they can be recreated. I did not find any. I probably looked in the wrong spot, but did follow the path:
%userprofile%\Local Settings\application data\Microsoft\Outlook\Offline Address Books\< guid >. Since
I did not find any files, I ran a manual update of the GAL by going to Send/Receive Download Address Book.
When I ran the manual update, I received a sync error. I am now stuck, and all my research describes either the steps I wrote above, or tells how to troubleshoot at the server level. I do not see this as being a server issue, as only the one
user is getting the error. All email comes into this user correctly, so he is connected to the server.
Server is Exchange 2010, hosted onsite. Outlook is 2010 on a Windows XP machine.
I don't know what other information to provide, so please ask if I am not giving something needed to fully troubleshoot this issue.

In order for some GAL entries to show up properly, we may need to turn off Cached Exchange Mode. Please visit the document on How to turn on or off Cached Exchange Mode for Outlook 2010.

Shared Services Security information not updating in Essbase

Hi,
I have created few users in Shared Services and performed the sync operation. Created users are not reflecting in Essbase server. why?
Also tried by externalizing the users... performed sync from shared services and refreshed the shared security from EAS console...then also... user information not updating in Essbase?
What could be the reason?

Have you provided Essbase application access rights to those users in shared services?
If not, then try after providing Essbase access to users. This might be the reason for your issue.

How can I display the length of the yet unfinished line that a user is drawing in the image using the line tool of the IMAQ tool palette.

Is this really not possible using standard Labview/Vision YI`s?

I can't find a way to extract the information you want within the program. However, this information is displayed as part of the IMAQ tool palette while the user is drawing the line. The pallette shows the anchor point, the X and Y offsets, and the line length and angle.

Premiere cc 2014 crash with message "Adobe Premiere Pro could not find any capable video play modules. Please update your video display drivers and start again."

I updated to Premiere Pro CC 2014, all the other Adobe CC 2014 software works great, but Premiere doesnt even load. The starting page (frame) comes up - my whole computer slows down and after a minute or two it crashes completely and comes up with the message : "Adobe Premiere Pro could not find any capable video play modules. Please update your video display drivers and start again."
I'm running a macbook Pro 15" (2014) with 16GB RAM and 760GB SSD.

Please go to the following location and rename the folder to old_folder name
User/user library/Application Support and rename Adobe folder
User/user library/Preferences and rename the Adobe folder
Then go to Documents folder and Go to Adobe/Premiere pro/8.0 and rename 8.0 folder

So I created the item as apps, but do not have the privilege to add elements to it as apps ?
Any ideas ?

Login as the same user, use the same responsibility and then try to do the exact same update (item/field/value) using the screen.
Then use the api.
Make sure you add a line to set the context properly before calling ego_item_pub.
I did not see that in your code.
something like
fnd_client_info.setup_client_info(&appl_id, &resp_id, &user_id) -- replace the variables with the appropriate value
