IMovie Upgrade to iMovieHD6 after purchase of iLife 08 for G4 Powerbook

I purchased iLife 08 two days ago and found that all my iLfe5 programs would update except iMovie because I use them on a Powerbook G4, because of processor limitations. Is there any way I can upgrade to iMovie HD6 without incurring additional expense?

You can't install i-Movie 08 on the G4...it prevents that.
I downloaded i-Movie 06HD, as shown, ...and it prevents THAT!
("You must have i-Movie 08 installed to install 06...") I even tried it with the i-Life 08 install disk on my desktop, but still....
C'mon Apple! Catch 22! Can you e-mail me the program that is installable?
PS I couldn't register i-Life 08, as it said the numbers, with and without suffix, and/or the UPC code number weren't correct. THIS IS BEGINNING TO FEEL LIKE A PC! lol

Upgrading from PS/Lr bundle to a full CC subscription is no problem. I did just that only a month or two ago. They cancel your existing subscription from that point and sign you up for a new one effective immediately, there's no extra charge or overlap payment.
The best way is to do it through chat; you'll have it up and running in less than five minutes. All you need to do is sign out and back in to update the CC app.

Can I redeem the $20 after purchasing Mountain Lion for my new Macbook Pro

Hey there, I purchased a Macbook Pro in late June 2012, reading the redeem page for Mountain Lion 2 weeks ago it stated to come back after making a purchase of Mountain Lion, so I purchased the update and now realised i could of downloaded it for free, is it possible to get a rebate from Apple, or did I just waste $20????

Apple most likely won't give 20 dollars of store credit....you can always call them but I doubt they will let you redeem...in the end they want your money..

Can I get an upgrade from 667 MHz to 867 MHz for a PowerBook G4?

I'd like to use my old PowerBook to support an iPod Touch for a family member, but need to install Leopard to do that. I bought a new copy of the OS for this but can't get it to install and now see that I need 867 MHz and have 667. What to do?

The deal-breaker may not be the processor but the lack of USB 2.0 on the older PowerBooks. Newer iPods require USB 2.0 and a 667mHz PBG4 has USB 1.1.
You can use a Cardbus adaptor to provide USB 2.0, like this:
IOGEAR Hi-Speed USB 2.0 CardBus 2 Port USB 2.0 for Laptops
These are getting harder to find as newer computers ship with USB 2.0 capability.
FWIW, I recently bought Leo by calling the Apple Store and installed in on a Powermac G4 1.25Ghz with 1.75G of RAM and a 64MB VRAM video card. It is not very limber compared to Tiger on the same machine, Even if you use the installer hack, I'm afraid you will have an mostly unusable computer.

How do I download iLife on my MacBook Pro (for free) after purchasing a new iOS device

Hello,
I watched the most recent keynote address just like everybody else and was very happy to hear that Apple was going to provide the new iLife and iWork software for free with the purchase of a new Mac device or iOS device. So, I went and purchased a new iPhone 5S. Now how do I get my free copy of this software on my MacBook Pro (Mid-2010) running Mavericks?
Any help would be appreciated.

You must be running Mavericks and have purchased the iLife 11 apps, either they came with the Mac or from a purchased iLIfe 11 disk, in order to upgrade to iPhoto 9.5 for free.

Difficult question to answer, the short answer is yes but there are ramifications! First is your warranty, this could negatively impact your warranty so if you want an SSD then order the machine with one, it's that simple. Apple Stores will not perform the upgrade, some AASP's will but again you need to determine if the warranty is worth the risk. If you intend to do it remember iMacs are only designed to have the RAM upgraded by the end user, so again look at the warranty and decide if its worth it.
My $.02, if you want an SSD order the machine with a SSD installed and you will have no worries. If you buy AppleCare this will extend the warranty to 3 years and you will have total piece of mind.

Price for FCP upgrade to new version soon after purchase.

There will be a new version of FCP later this year. I'll wait to buy my first FCP, if the upgrade won't be free in a few months. Does anyone know the pricing policy for full upgrades within a short time after purchase? Thx.

Sorry if this is in the wrong section but after purchasing an iMac, I was told that I was eligible to receive a free upgrade to Mountain Lion,but after I entered the password to open the content code 'file' it said it was invalid. I recieved the code after following the instructions located here. Does anyone know why this is happening or how I can fix this? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Cannot Re-download IMovie After Purchase!

Now, I was provided with IMovie when I purchased my mac.... I accidently deleted IMovie yesterday and now I am unable to re-download it from the app store without purchasing it again for $18... Can you please help me? I need to make a trailer and am un able to re-download my favourite video editing application. I have had this issue of deleting it before but I simply re-downloaded it.... Because I never trust software backups to work, unless I had an iso image of the program, which I don't. Writing down serial-number is a no-brainer, I have no issue with that. My issue was the fact that the serial number would become useless if I cannot re-download the actual program files. Some of us out there have paranoia about such things, and OCD about confirming the details.
I guess I could just torrent the iso.
