Implem Stacks 11 &12 - Change to "change SC at status"?

Hello,
During testing post application of Stacks 11 & 12 (SRM 4.00 - SRM_SERVER 500) I've noticed that SC are no longer able to be changed once the status is in "Awaiting Approval" with the message 'BBP_PU 188' - "You cannot change shopping carts with this status". This was not the case pre application of the stacks and I've been through the stacks notes though nothing is mentioned in this regard. Is there a way that this is able to be reverted so that a change to a SC can be faciliated with this status?

You should use DBMS_DEFER_SYS.UNREGISTER_PROPAGATOR to unregister a propagator. You cannot just drop it and expect Oracle to automatically update the replication environment.
Also one cannot just stop or drop push or purge jobs, instead use UNSCHEDULE_PUSH or UNSCHEDULE_PURGE.
The same for removing replication objects. Dropping a table will not be automatically removed from the replication environment. Use DBMS_REPCAT.DROP_MASTER_REPOBJECT first.
Not cleaning up your replication environment properly may leave it in invalid/corrupted state. It may be very difficult and time consuming to clean it up later.

Should not be the case.. Because only when you start deploying, or applying patches, SDM wakes up and work. But never checked my self doing like that.

How to change the changed by name of an equipment

hi All,
My Problem is as follows..
Xi interface send a file which will contain data to create equipments. this will also contain the user name field . The equipment created/changed by should be with this user ID.
I create set of Equipments(Through BAPI) and update the stock information thorugh BDC using IE02. my problem is i could create the Equipment with the user id given in the file. but when i do stock updation through IE02 it takes sy-uname. i tried to pouplate sy-uname with the name given in the file jus before call transaction IE02. it is not working.
I tried using BAPI BAPI_EQUI_CHANGE to change the changed by field but no luck.
Any pointers on how to resolve this would be highly appreciated.

Extracting changes from Change Master and importing to another BOM

Dear All,
Our client uses ECM and manages two BOM's the Engineering BOM and Production BOM.
The Engineering BOM s are changed through change number. We need to import these changes to the production BOM, (only the changes) through another change number
This means,
We have the Engineering BOM (No plant, usage 2) and Production BOM (Plant BOM with usage 1)with the same structure (BOM header is Z)
Header : Z
Position 1 :A Qty 1
Postion 2 : B Qty 1
Both initially had components A and B, each with Qty 1.
Now with a change number, the Engineering BOM is changed, a new component C is added, the quantity of A is revised to 2.
Now the Engineering BOM is
Header : Z, Plant ( blank) and Usgae 2
Position 1 :A Qty 2
Postion 2 : B Qty 1
Position 3 : C Oty 1
Our requirement is to extract the changes from the Change master, ie, the extract should say BOM header Z is changed,
New position 3 : C Qty 1,
Modified Position 1, Qty 2.
This should have only the changed information and we want to input this to the Production BOM, through another change number to change the Production BOM.
We want this process to be automated, in the sense, user enters the Production BOM header, Plant and usgae 1 and the new change number, then the BOM will be updated with the changes in the engineering BOM.
My Questions are
1- How to get an extract from the Change master with only the changes file, to a txt or xml or any format?
2- Apart from manually updating the Prodcution BOM by seeing the changes from Environment ->Reporting ->BOM changes of the Change master of the Engineering BOM, is there any other way to update the Production BOM only with the changes?
3- Ideally we want to import the changes to the Production BOM rather than deleting the items and again copying from Engineering BOM. What is best practice used in this scenario?

Got ur point.. This is of course possible.. Practicallyboth the BOM's are not exactly identical. Tere is one more BOM apart from the Production BOM.
And there is a need to transfer the changes ( changes alone ) between BOM's.
Further more, there are interface from SAP to other systems, where they alos requires the BOM changes.. So the requirement arises, how to transfer the changes between BOM and also to other systems from SAP.,
If we do not have any interface from legacy PDM, how to extract the changes from the change master?
What is the general practise followed?

MM02 - Enable options change number, change overview and change documents

I am with the following problem: I enter the transaction MM02, I enter the material 1000765, I select the view "Classification". Later I access the environment option from the menu bar and options for change number, change overwiew and change documents are disabled.
How do I enable these options change number, change overview and change documents?

Hi Sergio,
If we activate the change documents for classification data, then we will be able to see the CHANGE DOCUMENTS for characteristic values through CL20N transaction (CL20N via menu ENVIRONMENT --> Change Documents) or MM02.
For reference please check SAP Note 65124.
For enabling change documents for classification data in SPRO --> Cross-Application Components --> Classification System --> Classes --> Maintain Object Types and Class Types.
In this enter into MARA table entry. Inside that corresponding to the respective CLASS TYPE (say 001) enable the CHANGE DOCS check box in Classifications part (For enabling this please check SAP Note 65124). Then for this CLASS TYPE (say 001) inside the OBJECTS folder, enable the CHANGE DOCS CLASS checkbox also.
Now in MM02 and in CL20N under menu Environment --> Change Documents you can view all the changes done to that characteristic values.
Once the change documents is activated, then we can get the change documents details in CDHDR and CDPOS tables. The OBJECTCLAS may be "CLASSIFY". We can also use the "CLLA_CHANGE_DOC_CLASSIFICATION" function module to fetch the data from these tables.

Is that a big changes for changing IP for SAP in HA Env (Clustering)?

Is that a big changes for changing the SAP servers IP address in HA (Cluster Environment)?
In my understand, if that is not a HA environment we can just change the SAP server from old IP address to a new IP address if the DNS configured fine.
Does anyone have experience of changing IP address in HA environment? Is the Logical IP address has to be changed also?
Would appreciate if anymore can give some guideline for this.

Hi,
Theorically, you shouldn't face with any problem unless you use IP number instead of hostname, in the configuration steps. In practice, I faced many problems when I change the physical IP number, on the system. Additionally, you may face with a problem at the network switch configurations, also.

Block status not changing to CHANGED

If I change one base table item in a block the block status stays at QUERY. I have to change two or more item for it to change to CHANGED. This happend after I updated forms builder 61 with the 4a patch. It worked fine before the patch upgrade. Is this a problem with the patch or is it something else?

Table for Function modules - Changed date & Changed by.

Hi Experts,
Help me to get Function module changed date & changed by.
For programs we can get the mentained information in TABLE : TADIR.

Function Modules change history can be retrieved from table TRDIR.
Function Module stores a program Include in table TRDIR.
The details of the Function Module can be found in Attributes-->general data tab in the Function Module.
You need to pass the Include which correponds the FM.
Hence you can find the Log changes.

Masters like BOM and Routing can be created and changed with change number. Accordingly changes can be tracked with respect to the change numbers. For Eg BOM created wit hqty 10 with change number X , then BOM changed to 12 with change number Y, then system will display the reports on BOM changes with respect to change numbers. Historial data you can track.
You can create new change number in CC01 with different validity date and make changes to BOM. You cannot edit the change number once its is created.

Significance of "Change"- "unchanged" and "New" - "Old" statuses during maintain authorization?

Hi all, I am new in SAP Security/GRC and I need help: What does it mean to see the statuses "changed" and "New" on the 'maintain Authorization' page ? I learnt there are actions one must perform to change the 'Change' status into "unchanged' and also integrate the "New" transactions with the "old". Could anyone explain please?

Hi Divyanshu the reference was helpful in explaining what will happen if new transactions are added or old ones removed without following appropriate maintenance procedures.
What I learnt from the discussions in that reference is that if for example, we delete a transaction and fail to carryout the maintenance tasks as required, the transaction really doesn't get deleted as it still shows up the next time we log in. Or that the new transactions added may not pass the authority checks of S_T CODE, This is because any changes made to the menu transactions takes off the S_T CODE object from its 'standard' and 'unchanged' statuses to the 'changed' status.
Once the S_T CODE object gets into CHANGED status, transaction deletions made in the menu path DO NOT overwrite the transaction values in S_T CODE. The transaction doesn't exist in the menu, but can be called because it still exists in S_T CODE (a possible risk source!!).
So to fix the problem, always check to see that S_T CODE is in STANDARD status when deleting existing or adding new transactions by performing the actions I listed in my second comment.

No it doesn't (and shouldn't) happen to everyone, but it is curious. Appearances can change if you log in as another user identity, reset Parameter RAM, the software has changed it's icon etc. (This would explain a recent iTunes icon change but not things like your keyboard preferences changing).
You might try locking Preferences down before your next update to see if that makes any difference.
The user account you're installing with has admin permissions I assume?

CUP: Request type change account- Change of user data other than roles

I am using the request type change account to change the user type and/or validity of the user. In the description of this request type it says I can use it to request additional access and other changes to an account. Yet when i try to change user validity.. CUP asks me to select one role when I try to submit the request..
Is there any thing else that I need to do so that the request type works for account changes as well?

Go to End Configuration -> End user personlization, select the checkbox next to 'Roles' and click on change. Change the 'Manadatory' dropdown to 'No'. Now, save the changes and create the change request.

Creating check on officers who can change a sales order - User Status

The user needs to create a check on persons who can change (User Status) on the sales order created.
The sales order are created by a group of people. These group of people can not be allowed to change the sales order - User Status(In header Detail).
Only a second level user users should be allowed change this user status.
Can it be done at configuration level. Or should we use an Exit?

I never have used this auth. objects, but if you want to set restrictions on some users, search before in auth. objects. As I told you, you can use the tcode SU24 for this purpose. Do the selection, see the result, try it with tcode PFCG and check it.
If you can do something with customizing tools or other standard tools (as authoritation tools) avoid the use of enhancements, BADI, BTE'S and so on. If you don't find the solution, then go to userexits.
