Implemenation of windows right click key

i want to know how is the windows application key alias windows right click key is handled in java .
Is the functionality provided for the right click key in any of the java versions.
If yes , how is it done ? what is its keycode ?
If no , why what is the reason ?
and Is there any work around to implement the right click key if there is no direct solution .

I want to know how is the windows right click key or context key is handled through keyboard instead through mouse .
I attempted to handle the Context key in Java in KeyPressed event. However, there is no specific key code . In Java, it returns a VK_UNDEFINED virtual key code. But, since the same VK_UNDEFINED is returned for other keys as well, say for Windows key or when using a Japanese key board, there seems to be no direct way to handle Context key in Java.
I would appreciate if there is anyother workaround solution that you may be aware of to handle the same.

[ZSH] Right click key turning text into caps lock

In zsh, my right click key turns text in caps lock and I have to type Ctrl+C to get back to the command prompt.

You can check the caps lock only if the swf has focus. When embedded in an HTML doc, the swf does not receive focus by default.

Bridge no windows right click after upgrade to cs6

Win7 x64 - production premium 5.5 upgrading to 6
I use to right click on a folder in windows and choose, "browse in bridge."
This is now gone. Also all of my file associations were gone.
It's super easy to fix the file associations, but how do I get my right click menu back? Browsing to a folder in bridge is not enjoyable.

1. Run regedit.exe
2. Navigate to "My Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shell" and select "shell"
3. Edit > New > Key
4. Name it Bridge
5. Make sure this new key is selected
6. Edit > New > Key (again)
7. Name it command
8. With this key selected, double-click on the (Default) value in the righthand pane.
9. enter: "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Bridge CS6 (64 Bit)\Bridge.exe" "%L"
10. Exit regedit.

Open iPhoto and from the Menu Bar... Click on Help... Type in Delete and choose from the Selected Topics.

Why were the new tab and new window right click menu items reversed from FF3.6 on FF4?

I've been using Firefox since before version 1. when you right click on a hyperlink the first menu item had always been "open in new tab" and the second item was "open in new window" Now in Firefox 4, they have been reversed and it is a major pain in the rear. I even went and checked Firefox 3.6 on other PCs to make sure I wasn't wrong, and sure enough, they are reversed. I have verified this on both Windows XP and 7. I find my self constantly opening new windows instead of tabs. Is there a way to change this besides going back to ver. 3.6? Dumbest idea anyone at Mozilla ever had. Please change it back to the old way in 4.1

Thanks edmeister with that add on I was able to change it. I still feel it was a bad idea to change it in the first place. I don't like the tabs up on top by default versus being in the old location either, but I did find how to fix that.
I want Firefox to look and function like Firefox not chrome or opera. If I wanted chrome or opera I'd install it. I tried both and didn't like the interface of either one of those. You listening Mozilla?

Windows right click iTunes Match iCloud option missing

Hi there
Running a PC on Windows 7
In itunes I've noticed that when I right click on a song that hasn't uploaded the iCloud options have gone
Anyone else got this issue and a fix for it?
Should I just reinstall iTunes? or is this a known bug with a fix on the way?

That's because the track is now available in the cloud. You need to enable the iCloud Status column to see then status of the song. Pull down View > View Options, select "icloud status" and click OK. After the initial scan, match and upload process has completed you will see one of two statuses on a track: "matched" or "uploaded." Neither of these will have the "add to icloud" option in the contextual menu. Andy songs that are "waiting" still need to be processed by iTunes Match.
Keep in mind that not all songs actually "upload" to the cloud; most of them will "match" to songs in the iTunes Store. Hence the name of the service: iTunes Match.

Launching java program via windows right click

I've written a Java Applicaton to display some data files we get from our cash registers. The app is stored in a jar file, with a manifest file. Double-clicking the jar file runs the program. Then we can select open from the file menu adn open our data files.
What I would like to add is the ability to right-click a data file in Windows, have the Java app appear in the Open With... menu in the popup menu, and then have windows launch the jar file.
I understand I would have to change the program to accept a parameter, and I know how to do that from the command line.
Is it possible to add a jar file to the popup menu in windows, and pass the path of the file into the main class in the jar file?
I did some Google searches this morning but couldn't find anything.

Loosing Right Click When Install CS4 64bit on Windows Vista 64

Weird Photoshop CS4 installation problem:
1) Windows Vista 64 bit new installation SP 2
2) firewall is off
3) I have installed & reinstalled the program several times
4) When installed I am loosing the Windows Right Click and I get this error message:
"The specified module could not be found: c:\program files\adobe\adobe version cue\client\4.0.1\versioncue.dll
All the version cue files are installed but I still loose the right click and get that error message. I also get the same message when I click the folder options when I try and set security permissions

Have you used the CS4 Clean Utility before your re-install? What happens is that Adobe Drive is messing up things, so I recommend to re-install without it. This little tip may also help:

Right click in Mac Dock to open new firefox window opens in wrong workspace.
When a user is in another workspace than the Firefox window, right clicking the Firefox icon in the dock and pressing New Window, should create a new window in the current workspace, Not the work space firefox is already running in.

To be absolutely honest, I can't ever remember a time where this worked in Firefox. I don't think the issue is related to the issue you mentioned, unless this particular issue only occurs if you have a dual-monitor-setup (I do have dual-monitors).
Firefox currently behaves differently to all native Mac apps + most Mac apps that support multiple windows.

Creating a new document in Finder with right-click--How?

Is there a way to create a new document in a Finder folder by right-clicking (or Ctrl-left)? So that the new file will be created at that very spot, in that very folder.
In Windows-Explorer this was quick and easy. Just right-click and you could choose from a menu to create a new empty doc of the most popular (installed) programs. Text file was mandatory. The file was created where the curser was at. VERY handy as that way you didn't have to open the application, create a new doc and then when saving having to crawl your way all the way to the position in the Explorer/ Finder.
Since I started with Apple and Tiger I've been missing this feature and Snow Leopard still does not seem to have it. Or did I miss something? I checked all the menue as well. There's not even a "Create new document". Only a "Create new folder".
I was just reminded of this when I wanted to create a new file on an external drive on a server to save some text in it. There was no way other than first opening Textedit, saving the empty file on the local Mac, THEN transferring the empty file to the server. Only THEN I could open it and edit it.
There MUST be a quicker way.
Also, in Windows you could edit this list in the menu (and add programs that would not by themselves do this). Is there a way for the Mac?

Open Textedit, Apple-N, and then save the darned file somewhere deep in the labyrinth of the Finder where you've just been but withouth the file. It takes AGES.
I, on the other hand -- at least in Windows --, right-click, new, double-click AAAND I'm on editing the file.
VERY quick.
It's beyond me why this is not possible on a Mac.

New Grid Menu Snafu with Right-Click

Going to Podcasts from the source menu, selecting Grid View, and then right clicking "Update" to update the podcast selected does not work. Viewing the podcast in any other manner does work.
Originally upon downloading iTunes 8, this feature worked at least once, I think. However, to my recollection, I haven't been able to do it after completing it once or twice.
I have installed some new apps, but none of them or video or audio related (RapidoStart, RapidoWrite).
This is a small snafu, but it makes working in grid mode annoying because I have to go into a different view, collapse the expanded podcast lists or scroll down them, OR individually select the podcast to start the update process in order to quickly update more than several podcasts of interest.
Automatic updates also do not seem to work, even though I asked iTunes to download the podcasts everyday for new episodes.
Any help or ideas are appreciated. Thank you.

I've had similar issues and had to use a program to transfer files from my iPhone to my computer, then transfer the content from that program to my itunes account. There may be other ways, but that was my experience.

Lenovo Thinkpad T510 click keys defective

Click keys are acting up, sometimes with both right click keys not working, and othertimes with the left click key operating like the right click key, with the right click key not working at all, and therefore no traditional left click key operation available. This issue affects both the red lined click keys and the touchpad click keys. .. Thoughts? Thanks.

Sometimes when one set (i.e. the touchpad) of keys freaks out, the other set also appears to act up.
Try Mouse > UltraNav tab and try disabling the touchpad, then the Trackpoint. If disabling one of those sets fixes it, then that set if probably faulty.

Right Click "Get Info"-style function for OPEN Documents

Often I'll open an item (most commonly a Pages doc.) through Spotlight, and not knowing where the item is necessarily filed, not even sure if it's Mac vs. iCloud, I would love a way to bring up the pertinent information on this already open item, the kind of info you could get by Right Clicking the item in Finder (see the problem - I don't know where the file is - also Finder searches seem increasingly useless for some reason.) I've searched through toolbar, right clicking, etc., no joy.
Is there perhaps a "show current document in Finder" function, the way there is for files in iTunes? That would would be great - instant file path view in the window, Right Click Info. one step away.
Hopefully there's a simple answer I've overlooked, or a relatively simple workaround. Or maybe even if if someone has any suggestions for making Finder searches work again - I'm completely stymied by the fact that it seems unable to find just about anything any more. It was never great, but at least until recently I found it reasonably functional. What happened? Links to other threads welcome.
