Implementing a custom process type for a process chain

I have created a custom process type for a process chain that allows a user to send back a failure or error status when calling an ABAP program. I copied the class that is used from the existing ABAP process type as a template.
The process type works fine, I just cannot find out how to recreate the documentation for my custom type using free text. When you maintain the process type there is a field for the documentation object, but I can't find where in SAP to implement this.
I have tried looking at the document maintenance using SE61 and looking into the class documentation from SE24 with no success. The only detail that is provided in the SAP help portal is:
"If necessary, assign a documentation type and a docu. object to the process type. The docu object can be called up via F1 in the process chain maintenance overview tree. "
Does anyone out there have any experience with this that can push me in the right direction?

You can create and maintain system documentation from transaction SE61. This is how you would create documentation for a process type or if you wanted to create a book. <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/a4/d47df949e111d189730000e8322d00/frameset.htm">more info</a>
Here are the steps to make your documentation similar to that used for the ABAP process type:
From transaction SE61:
-Create a document of type TX (either from scratch or by copying RSPC_ABAP which is used for the SAP-delivered ABAP process type)
-Make any changes you need. I suggest downloading the document in ITF format and make the changes in a basic text editor and then uploading your changed document. It's a little easier to tell what is going on that way.
Now on to transaction RSPC.
Once you save your changes, go to RSPC and select on any chain you have to get into the "plan and check views of process chain maintenance." Then just go to Settings -> Maintain Process Types.
From here you can select your process type, select TX from the document type dropdown, and then enter the name of your document in the docu. object field.

Question for customs "Define rules for default document data"

Hello all,
we would like to set up the data for AES. We set the country of origin, as you can see on the below screenshot.
The problem is that the country of origin is not forwarded to AES. In the export declaration under the item detail there is an empty field at the country of origin.
What do we have to change in the set up "Define rules for default document data"?

Hi Sven,
Sorry to take the conversation in a different direction, but it's very unusual to propose the Country of Origin (CofO) by default, and not usually accepted by the Customs authority. Generally the CofO depends on where you obtain the goods. If that doesn't change much, it's usual to set the CofO on the Material Master record in the ERP system - in that case the value copies automatically into the GTS Export Declaration item. That is why there is no standard configuration having IT_CUCOO as a Target Field.
Also, in many countries, CofO is not mandatory in the Export Declaration (although always mandatory in the Import Declaration). You might want to check the situation in your area.

Customize matching rule in lockbox

Hi,
Did anyone customised the matching rules in lockbox using the packaged procedure ARP_LOCKBOX_HOOK.CURSOR_FOR_MATCHING_RULE.
I need to customize the matching rule so that it matches by invoice number and discount amount passed in the data file.

what u want to do for matching rule.
Refer to AR user guide pages 7-126 ,there is process for defining Custom Matching Rules.
Custom Matching Rules provides a stub program (arp_lockbox_hook.cursor_for_matching_rule) that you can code to implement your unique matching criteria.
This program is then called as part of the normal lockbox process and is used instead of Auto-Cash rules to assign Transactions to receipts.

Possibility of giving match code for Manufacturer in Equipment Master

Hi -
We can have a field exit on fieler HERST of Equipment Master.
Is there any possibility of giving a match code on this filed? so that we can maintain a table for manufacturer and user can select any one entry from this table.
We do have activated filed exit for manufacturer check, but need to further restrict the entry so that there is uniformity of entry maintained in this field.
Kindly advice.

In addition to the above mentioned exit we have also created a custom match code for this field in one of our project ... the exit gets triggerred whenver user hits enter and the value entered here is used in selection criteria that displays the custom popup window ... the data is picked from vendor master table the selection createria we used was vendor name and description and vendor acount group MNFR - for manufacturers would be defaulted and displayed.So you can go with creating a custom match code which is invoked whenever user selects F4...

Adding AV/AS Rule for AVG 9

A while back I had TAC send me instructions for adding custom AV rule for AVG 8. I seem to have misplaced those (they're not lost - I just can't find em). Can someone post the steps that I will need to add AVG 9 as a custom rule for NAC? Thanks in advance.

OK...This what you need to manually add the rules for AVG 9
If you just want to allow them if Avg9 is installed you can create a new registry check.
Device Management -> Clean Access -> Clean Access Agent -> Rules -> New Check.
Check Category: Registry Check
Check Type: Registry Key
Registry Key: HKLM : SOFTWARE\Avg\Avg9
Operator: exists
Choose your Operating Systems
Check the box to create a rule based on the new check.
Under your existing AV Requirement the new rule should now
show up under Requirement-Rules.
In order to check the AV Definitions as being current we can add :
Check Category: File Check
Check Type: File Date
File Path: SYSTEM_DRIVE : \Program Files\Avg\Avg9\sc.dat
Operator: later than
File Date: Cam date - 5 days
File Date Type: Modification date
Select Your OS' and Automatically create a rule based on the check.
Add this check to your existing AV definition requirement rules and make sure you have
"Any Select Rule Succeeds chosen.

In the Database Expert, expand the Create New Connection folder and browse the subfolders to locate your data source.
Log on to your data source if necessary.

Best practice question for implementing a custom component

I'm implementing a custom component which renders multiple <input type="text" .../> controls as part of it. The examples I've seen that do something similar use the ResponseWriter to generate the markup "by hand" like:

I don't know about anyone else, but I HATE having to write code that manufactures this stuff - seems to me that there are already classes that do this, so why not just use those? For example, the above could be replaced with:

Implementing Custom Validation Logic for Payment Disbursements

Hi All,
Is there anyone here, who has implemented Custom Validation Logic for disbursements in Oracle payments.
Theory: Under Payments Setup Administrator -> Formats -> Formats, we can setup a payment format and even attach a XML template. Apart from this we can setup Pre-defined validations or user Defined validations.
For Pre-defined validations / seeded validations, Oracle has provided an API
IBY_VALIDATIONSETS_PUB.evaluateCondition. We can use this API, and call a custom package by using the keyword 'CUSTOM' in the call.
Has anyone played around with this package and successfully implemented custom validations. Does anyone have a sample code on how to implement this. The Payment Manager Implementation guide is of little help.

Implement 2-way matching for SRM PO

Hi Gurus,
We are in SRM5.0 Extended Classic and currently running 3-way match scenarios. Client wants to implement 2-way match for certain Vendors. My question is how to accomplish this. Below are my thoughts. Please let me know if I missed any.
for 2 way match:
1. In ECC Maintain Vendor MAster - remove GR/IR indicator
2. In ECC Maintain Info records - remove GR/IR indicator
In SRM
1. use create Limit shop which defaults to 2 way (also gives option to select 3 way)
Please let me know if there are any config changes or new objects to be developed for 2-way match.

Copa derivation rule for customer group

Hi All,
I am currently facing an issue with Derivation rule and hope someone can help me on resolving this.I have created a COPA derivation rule which has field as
Source Field
company code
Plant
Target field
Distribution channel
Condition
customer group 3 = 18.
so ideally with this conbination the distribtion channel gets updated
for the sales order.
However the issue we are facing is that the rule is working for only 1st line item and not for the others. I have also kept setting as" overwrite values only if new values found"
e.g if we see the accounting doc of billing then
line item 1 customer: x
line item 2 SaLes GL: rule works fine and dist channel is updated.
line item 3 discount GL: rule does not work.
Have checked the derivation rule and it looks correct.
Can you kindly suggest solution to this.

Thank you so much for your reply.Please note that the GL is a cost element but the category in system is 1 and not 12.However I would like understand as to why is this happening.why does the system picks up derviation rule for a Gross sales GL and not for Discount GL(Cost element).
The distribution channel gets updated for sales GL when i check the prof segment of the line item, however this is not the case with doscount GL.
I would like to understnad the implication before changing cost element category from 1 to 12 as it runs across system.
Kindly provide some more explaination.

I am not sure if i have followed your requirement.
What do you want to do with Vendor Z? Do you want to inspect each lot from Z?
If yes:
Then Create 2 Inspection plans with same Operations and Same MICs, In Material Assignment, mention Vendor as Z so that 1st inspection plan will only be for Vendor Z. Do not enter DMR in Header.
In 2nd inspection plan Enter DMR and do not mention any vendor so this plan will be applicable for all vendors except Z.
If No:
Then create Qm info record for vendor Z with "No inspection" set in QI06.

I'm tempted to change this to allow, but I won't as long as I don't understand why this deny-rule is implemented.

That deny rule is the default. Things in /etc/dbus-1/system.d override it. There's a ConsoleKit.conf file in there that describes what interaction ConsoleKit actually allows.
That said, ConsoleKit.conf also denies this access:

I don't know why this is denied - most likely it's to prevent private data from being stolen from console-kit-daemon in this way. I don't see any such private data stored in properties on ConsoleKit, though:

Note those properties at the end of that list, which are the same things you can learn by running ck-list-session.
If you want to change the deny to allow, you may as well do it in the ConsoleKit.conf line, so it's specific to this usage, rather than allowing any method call in the world called through dbus.
FWIW, I can reproduce this same error, trying to do it "by hand", though I don't use GNOME, as you do:
