Implemetation of XI in self registratin scenario

Hi all,
we are implementing the self registration scenario in which the supplier fills out a self registration form and after this he compiles a questionnaire. These informations will be stored in the DB prospects which is on a specific client. Afterwards these will be transfered to the Vendor DB of the EBP which is on another client.
Our purpose is to configure XI as dispatcher between these 2 systems.
Is that possible?
Which are the interfaces of the Prospect DB and the Vendor DB in EBP that are involved in the flow?
Does anybody have documentation on this topic and about self registration?

In simple
ASN ( advance shipping notifications) are involved only in the MM-SUS scenario.
ASN's are mainly used in the procurement of direct materials ( plan driven procurement).
and this function is not available in SRM-SUS scenario , in the case of SRM -SUS scnerio , you can create confirmations with respect to the services performed by the supplier.

I could not figure out how to configure the group PUBLIC or somehow change it to an existing group.
Your help is much appreciated.

I edited the logon group from SMLG and added PUBLIC there.
Restarted the connection and the configuration installation went through successfully.

Self procurement scenario difficulties

Hello,
I am following the guide Self service procurement: Configuration guide. Release 500, and can not successfully execute the Replication of materials from R/3 backend systems (Page 47 of the aforementioned guide). The replication that I want to achieve is between a R/3 Enterprise 4.7 Ext. 200 system and a SRM 5.00 system (WebAS 700).
The problem arises in the step Downloading customizing objects, sub-step 3: It is not possible to select the correct destination site. In addition to the default destination (CRM), in previous steps I have created a new destination site (which I named SRM), but in the transaction R3AS this target destination does not appear, even though I followed all the previous steps and notes named on the guide.
Should you give me some advice on this matter? What is possibly wrong? Is there some operation that I have misunderstood?

Pls refer note 720819 for MW settings and initial download.
Broadly the steps for succesful initial load are:
Step 1 : CRMCONSUM , CRMSUBTAB, CRMRFCPAR and CRMPAROLTP tables
Step 2 : program 'BBP_PRODUCT_SETTINGS_MW'
Step 3 : Transaction <SMOEAC>
Create a R/3 site for the backend and allocate the backend RFC destination as the attribute
Step 4 : Then control the status of the sites using transaction <SMWP> in the EBP with middleware menu : portal-> runtime info-> adapter status->parameters-> sites.
All the status should be green.
Step 5 : select the data you want to replicate. The lines that are not set to inactive, indicate your choice for the replication.
From the Enterprise Buyer easy access menu, choose Middleware -> R/3 Data Exchange -> Initial Download -> Object Management -> R3AC3 - Customizing Objects.
Step 6 : initial download
Step 7 : Go to Monitor Download object or transaction R3AM1 to check that the replication was successful

Extended Classic Scenario

Referring to note 963000, we are about to install SRM 5.0 as AddOn to
Ecc ERP 2005. In SRM we would like to implement the "Exteded Classic
Scenario", meaning the procurement process will take place locally in
EBP and a copy of data is replicated to the beckend system (ECC).
Is the "Exteded Classic Scenario" compatible with the "SRM as add-on"
installation? Note 963000 sais "The following scenarios are released
within SRM AddOn: ... Self service procurement (classic deplyment)":
does that mean that only the "Classic scenario" (meaning only Shopping
cart on EBP, the rest of the purchasing process on backend) is
available?

HCM Self Services FPM Webdynpro Portal PCD - Selfservice Properties

we have different FPM/Self-service scenarios installed.
With FPM it's possible to define some FPM application using existing visual and non visual components from SC ESS or MSS.
The problem:
we tried to define a new FPM-application in PCD having FPM-Views (visual components) from standard (e.g. teamviewer/TMV) and a new self developped one.
FPM-App-Customer
--> FPM-View-MSS/TMV (having FPM-View-Properties)
--> FPM-View-Customer
FPM-App-Customer get's instantiated in WD-IView in Portal, and normally mentioned FPM-View-Properties can be definied in an IView-Property-Category named Self-Services.
Within our IView there is no Property-Category Self-Service, even if the Properties from MSS/TMV are visible in FPM-View.
What are the preconditions to enable the input of Self-Service Properties in IView?

Shipper scenarios

Hi,
Since we have multiple incoterms hence can someone inform for which incoterms freight settlement document will not have any charges calculated in a shipper scenarios? I think its only for customer pick up and self delivery scenario.
Secondly is there any speciifc config for incoterm determination related to shipper scenario?

Guess I answered the question myself by checking in the system:
For own containers, a resource of type Transportation Unit has to be created for each container (though the TM book says that those have no functionality anymore - apparently this is wrong/has been changed). There you can specify an equipment which provides physical properties to the resource.
In planning, you have to create Container Units (which, according to documentation, is a kind of Transportation unit, which is quite confusing because this is something different then the Transportation Unit ressource type mentioned above). For own containers, you assign a TU resource. For containers provided by the LSP, you just assign an equipment. Result is in both cases a container unit which can be "filled" with freight units, one having a link to a resource, the other not. Guess you can proceed equally from there on.
The connection between Event tracking of Container (as well as Trailer and Railcar) Units and assigned resources (of type Transportation Unit in the container case, of type Passive Vehicle in the other two cases) is explained in the EM guide on Ressource Tracking, which can be found here: Resource Tracking Scenario for SAP Transportation Management
Still, please correct me if I'm wrong somewhere, and feel free to make additions!

Questions on ROS

I have a list of questions regarding the Implementation of Supplier Self Registration scenario in SRM 7.0 using ROS component
1)     Is it possible the implementation of ROS without SUS? If yes, is it mandatory the utilization of XI? If yes, what would it be the reason for utilization of XI?
2)     In ROS it is possible to define different kind of qualification questionnaires depending on the Category Id choosen by the potential supplier during the Self Service Registration; Is it possible to influence the content of a questionnaire so to have different questions depending on other information inserted by the Potential Supplier (e.g. different kind of Supplier u2013> different questions: eg set of questions 1 for manufacturer and set of questions 2 for a law office)? If Not, are there BADIs able to influence the standard behaviour?
3)     In the standard system the questionnaire can be category dependent: My question is: is it possible to define different questionnaires for different level of Material Group Hierarchies?
4)     Is it possible to define Workflows for evaluation of questionnaires sent by the Potential Supplier? (E.g. before qualifying a Supplier the questionnaire must be evaluated 1° by the Purchasing Department 2° by the technical specialist 3° Finance and so on). If Not, is there something like a BADI allowing the implementation of a complex Workflow at the end of which we have the Qualification of the Supplier?
5)     Is it possible (always according to the standard functionality) to allow the evaluator of a Questionnaire to assign a score to the single value of the answer given by the Supplier or to the Entire Questionnaire?
6)     Is there an automatic update of the SRM EBP Object u2018Vendor Listu2019 when a Supplier is qualified for a certain category id?
7)     When a Supplier is qualified for a Product Category , how the Supplier Master Data is created in SRM-EBP? Do we need XI?
8)     How can the same supplier transferred to ERP system? Is there an automatic way to transfer the information from ROS->EBP->ERP?
a.     If Yes, do we need XI to manage the Master Data transmission from EBP to ERP?
b.     If not, how can I create the Supplier Master Data in ERP?
i.     Manually and then transfer if (via BBPGETVD) to SRM-EBP? (how can the system create a match between the ERP number and the SRM Number - only according to the address data? -)
ii.     Manually creation in ERP and then (always manually, maintaining the ERP number in the EBP Supplier Master data?)

Creative's Vista support is so bad - My horrible experience

All,?Have used Creative products for years, but how they are handling Vista is bordering on criminal. I do not understand how they basically tell good customers to take a hike with such terribly bad Vista support. Here is my story:?Using my SB Li've card in XP. Works GREAT!? Fantastic card, no problems. Not that old of a card either. Seems Creative will not be making Vista drivers for it. WHY??So go and buy a Audigy SE card. Plug in, can not get to work. Find there is no Vista driver.
Go out and buy a X-Fi Extreme Audio card, as I saw there was a Vista driver for it. Get home, find out that is not true, only for 32bit, not 64bit.
Wait, find this section. Find the Audigy SE has a beta Vista driver, whoops only 32bit again.
Vista (released version) has been out for several months (I have had my Microsoft Developers Network Release Canidate running now for well over a month). And beta's have been out forever.
There is NO excuse for a company as big as Creative not to have drivers working and ready for all current cards, and fairly recent cards (like SB Li've) by at least the public release date. None at all.
Funny thing, plugged in the built in sound module on my DFI nF4 SLI-DR motherboard (I kept it unplugged while I used the SB Li've card). Booted Vista, and drivers loaded without my doing a thing!? Works fine...

I'm on the side of Creative Labs here, and I'll say what they're probably thinking as they desperately work to get things up to speed for us. For starters, I assumed that if you chose to be one of the first to purchase Windows Vista (like myself), you were prepared to undergo a rocky compatibility period with some of your hardware, and were willing to wait it out. After numerous new versions of Windows....well hell, I figured?we all have come to expect this kind of thing at first launch. I guess I was wrong.
Secondly, I assumed that if you chose to be one of the first to purchase Windows Vista, but you were NOT prepared to undergo a rocky compatibility period with some of your hardware, than you would have perused this website's news, forums, drivers page, etc. for a little while?after the Vista release date to verify that everything?is?going to work?the way you "need" it to before you even put that Vista installation DVD in your dri've. And third....you consumers aren't working in the Creative Labs office. You've never attended their meetings. You've never been in on exactly how much work goes into keeping communication going with Microsoft, and you?dam sure don't know exactly what has to go into making these sound cards work with the types of Directsound changes that Microsoft has made. Don't sit there remotely from your apartment and tell a Creative Labs employee what they've been doing with THEIR time since they got the final info from Microsoft they needed to get to work on the new drivers. You say "fix it!" They say "we're working on it." What the hell else do you want?Fourth....don't forget that there are plenty of Creative Labs employees who have home computers with creative labs hardware in them, and those employees want their stuff working just as much as you. Error while sending PO (with tax code) from SSP to SUS via MM

Hello Experts
We are implementing Self Service Procurement and Supplier Self Services scenario.
We have created a SC with Tax Code say X in Self Service Procurement. The SC gets created as PO in R/3 (MM) system.
The IDoc which is getting created in the R/3 system has different segments than the one which gets created when we create the PO directly in R/3 system.
This IDoc which is seen in R/3 with the Status 26 - ' Error during syntax check of IDoc (outbound) '.
Please help, we are new to SSP.

No POs found when entering with vendor role/contact person for vendor

Dear colleagues,
I wanted to post either a GR or an invoice as a vendor, that is, entering the system as the contact person of the vendor, with the vendor role, and searching for the POs created for me as vendor, then selecting one of them.
However, when searching for POs to post the documents with reference to POs, the report says there are no POs available, when in fact I have created several POs for that vendor in the systems.
What might I be missing? What are the conditions, rules, configuration steps needed so that the vendor can see the POs created for him and post subsequent documents with the role SAP_BBP_STAL_VENDOR and entering the system as a contact person for that vendor?

Hi David,
This scenario which you require for receiving P.Os,sending P.O response, posting confirmation and invoice is called
SUS (Supplier self service) scenario.
You have to configure this scenario to avail all these services and the vendor should be SUS vendor. A mere vendor role will not allow the vendor to perform all these functions.
XI (Exchange infrastructure) is required in configuring the SUS scenario.

Yes it is possible.
In addition to syncronizing users (for example with an Active Directory) there is also the possibility to use a self-registration scenario.
If you could explain the context (e.g. ESS, Internet facing Webshop, Portal, internal ITS) then we will be able to give you better advise. Your question is very vague.

Righ now for the Employee and Manager Self Services Scenario we have the following landscape installed:

- MSS Business Package for ERP 2004 60.1 SP1 (deployed in the SAP Enterprise Portal 7.00)
The installed XSS components are:
- SAPPCUI_GP 100 SP11 (deployed in the SAP Enterprise Portal 7.00)
- SAP_ESS 100 SP11 (deployed in the SAP Enterprise Portal 7.00)
- SAP_MSS 100 SP11 (deployed in the SAP Enterprise Portal 7.00)
In this landscape I have found some problems like the exception "com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.exceptions.WDRuntimeException: Exit-Plug must no be triggered with an URL when running in portal. Use portal navigation instead to navigate to another application!" when we use the "Return to Overview Page" link after changing personal information.
For the investigation that I have made this XSS components should have been deployed in a WAS Java 6.40.
So the options now are:
- 1) install a java add-in for the ECC and deploy on it the XSS components
- 2) install a java stand-alone exclusively for this XSS components
- 3) install an Enterprise Portal 6.40 and deploy the Business Packages and XSS components on it
- 4) leave this as it is.
For the option 4) can you tell us what are the know restrictions for the use of the XSS components in 7.0 Java? Is the above error just the only problem for this landscape?
For option 2) The same XSS componentes on WAS Java can be used for both development and quality systems? Or there is a need to have distinct XSS components for each (development and quality) backend system?
Just another question for option 3), in this scenario the portal where the Business Packages will be installed can be used for development and quality systems? Or there is a need to have distinct Business Packages for each (development and quality) backend system?

Is necesary that i have to install a web as 6.40 and install in this server the xss components, or there are other solution, maybe a patch or a note.

I think i should explain my requirements in more detail. I'm working on different Employee Self Service Scenarios. The User Interface is a Webdynpro which can be called form the Portal. In Background a Workflow is trigger and all following steps can be executed through the UWL.
For each Scenario it is possible to enter different date by the user. As the data is used in the workfow i would like to set it into the container by an generic Function Module for all scenarios. Each Process has a unique name and i made a table where the related information (Workflow task...) is stored.

With this technique i am now able to set dynamic structures (e.g. <wa_proc_struc>) to the Container.

Missing hierarchy by downloading DNL_CUST_PROD1

Hi All,
I´m very new to the installation and configuration of a SRM sytem using the self service scenario. So, I have to apologise for my following question.According to this I have to set up a self service scenario with EBP 4.0 and SRM 3.0.
So, here is my problem. After doing all necessary configuration using the master and configuration guide, I want to import the produkt hierarchy object DNL_CUST_PROD1. After starting the initial download and activation the queue I get the error message: hierarchy FF572E09F3506B4F895F9E7533C39DOC missing. Although there is a product hierarchy in the backend system I cannot import this structure to the EBP system. Where can I find this missing hierarchy?
And why is in the BDoc description mentioned that this object is fully processed?
I would be very pleased if anybody can give me some advice to fix my problem.

thank your for your answer. I was very happy to reach an answer by somebody.
According to your response I´m not quite sure if I know what you mean with product id. The backend system contains a product hierarchy with five levels.
The product id is in the range from 01 to 0101010101. But after reading the help, different notes and so on, I think that the problem is caused by the product groups, respectively the missing product group hierarchy,isn´t it? Can you give me a short example about the product id setting process? For your possible answer thanks a lot.

Userid replication from SRM to portal

Dear Gents,
Userid's are created in SRM system depending on external vendor registrations. these users dont exist in ECC(ess/mss) system. Is it possible that we could update our LDAP with HR and SRM systems both as data source? and once userid is created in ECC or SRM, LDAP gets updated and from there Portal creates userid?
if we add CRM too and all 3 systems have different users, how could we then assign corrosponding A, B, C roles automatically in portal? if its a common role, we can add it to everyone group but with diffent technical system userid , how to proceed with different roles assignments????

Regarding your post from Oct 20th, I'm a little unclear. Are you referring to anonymous users or self-registration? It sounds like you're referring to self-registration so my question/request to you would be to please provide a little more info on how you configured self-registration. For example, it's possible to allow for simple self-registration where users are created at the time of registration and then allowed to see any content assigned to "Everyone". Conversely, you can setup up self-registration "with approval" where workflow rules will route this request and ensure new users are approved and assigned proper content. Which are you using?
Regarding you latest post on Oct 24th: You can certainly do just as you described and host Portal servers for various applications on disparate hardware but I wouldn't call it a requirement still until we hear some more answers regarding the above. But, assuming we need to go that route, this can easily be done as you suggest. You can either offer a link to other Portals on each login page or offer that link on the home page of users once logged into each Portal. This may be cleaner as you can then configure SSO between these Portals and users can more seamlessly "jump" from one to another.
Still another option would be to build a Federated Portal Network where content you produce on one (or more) Portal(s) is also consumed on one (or more) other Portal(s). Check the following links for this, it's pretty straight-forward:

But, like I said, I'm not sure you have to do this in your case. I'm interested in hearing more about your self-registration scenario before recommending FPN or even multiple Portal servers. Let me know.
