Import Custom Function Group

Hello,
We modified an ESS Webdynpro application by importing a new Z Custom Function Group and changed the bindings to point to it....we didn't checkin the activity after that but the Z Model was added to the DTR when I checked in the DTR perspective with a blue hut icon along with the class files....I just want to know what des it signify...? and why was the Z Model added to the DTR...?
Any help would be highly appreciated...

Anil,
When you create a model it will ask you to create activity or shows the existing activity and when you select that it automatically adds all the files to DTR and you can check this in the General Output view in the bottom right corner

Could not find Model while pointing to a custom Function Group

I am on EP7.0 ERP05 NW04s and trying to modify ESS Address application to point to a custom function group rather than the standard one . When I tried to do that by changing the mapping for the ReadInfotype I got certain compilation errors ,I fixed those and then got the following error at runtime:

Do below things.
1. Re-import your Model.
2. Restart your J2ee server
3. Re-load & Rebuild your project.

SE80 problem in ECC with custom function groups

We are in the process of upgrading from 4.64 to ECC 6 and have encountered an unusual situation.
When we bring up a custom function group in SE80, we can no longer see the custom includes in the include section. We can see all other sections. We can still use SE38 to look at an include. The automatically-generated includes are there, such as the TOP, F01 and UXX, but see none of the ones that go with the function modules we've created. When we look at the UXX include, we can see each of the function modules with the include it belongs to. These are function groups that existed in the 4.64 system; they are not new to the ECC system.
We've tried rebuilding the object list at the function group and package levels. We receive no errors and the processes work fine.
Maybe there is a setting somewhere that needs to be updated?

How to point to a Custom Function Group

Hello,

I really doubt wether we can achieve this, i mean pointing a standard webdynpro to Custom RFC instead of Standard RFC.
If you want to use standard RFC along with Z, this is possible. But modifying the existing model and pointing it to Z model is difficult, as the standard model nodes and attributes are mapped upto the views. You have to delete the mapping one by one without any error.This is a tedious process....

How to export and import custome functions...

Hi Biddies,
I am wondering is there any way the custome functions in an existed report can be exported.
If there is, how can I do it?
For example, "Custome Functions.rpt", which was distributed with Crystal Reports, has a custome function library. How can I export it from the report?

What format you are using to export it .
As I have seen you can export the custom functions contained report.
I had done it in pdf format for your references go to sample report folder
select featured example report folder in that open custom function report and export it to pdf format.
The report will exported with the field data of custom function.

Modify standard include of Custom Function Group

I have a include LZFG_VT00 into ZFG Function group.
SAP created this include when I set Table maintenance generator in SE11 for table ZFG_TABLE1.
SAP wrotes this code in include automatic:

Table ZFG_TABLE1 is deleted.
View ZFG_TABLE1 is deleted.
But, you can see, include LZFG_VT00 declares ZFG_TABLE1 and I can not change it because is a SAP standard program.
Any suggestions?

Error in Custom Function Module

Hi,
I am working on implementing General Ledger Business content in financial Accounting.
We had a requirement of creating a Custom Virtual cube similar to 0FIGL_V10. Hence, we had copied the standard function module RS_BCT_FIGL_DATA_GET_VC10 and created a custom function module. Before doing that, we had copied the function group RS_BCT_FIGL and created a custom function group for the custom function module.Both were activated subsequently. Then, we had created a custom virtual cube (ZFIGL_V10) using the custom function module.
The queries on the Standard virtual cube were migrated to ZFIGL_V10 using the RSZC transaction code. when the queries are executed in RSRT, we get an error message "**An exception with the type CX_SY_DYN_CALL_ILLEGAL_FUNC occurred" and the ABAP debugger is started post that error.
Has anyone faced this problem before?could any of you provide some pointers to it.

You cannot use the standard function module which is used for standard cube for another cube.
You should not change the function module.
Instead you can make a copy of the function module you are using aand use this copy in ur virtual cube which will work in the same way the actual Fm used to work and it will make you perfrom the changes.
Follow the below steps:
1) Goto SE37 and In the top tool bar click on the copy button which is on right side of delete button.
2) in fr FM give the name of the actual FM and in to Fm give the name of the function module you want to copy.
3) Then click on copy.
4) Now open this new function in edit mode and goto the import/export parameters and check. it will have all the same parameters as the actual FM. Here you can make the changes you want.
5) Now use this FM in your virtual cube and it will be working as per your requirement

If you do not want to replace any functionality with new functions from ECC 6.0 but just "move" it to the higher release then import your custom function group into the ECC 6.0 system and remove any Unicode errors.
Unfortunately, transaction UCCHECK appears to be not available on release 4.6.

Change name of Function group?

How can we change the name of the custom function group which was created by me?
Is there any change to be done ,after changing the name of function group ,to the function module assigned to the earlier function group??

goto SE80 --> select funcitongroup and name --> press enter --> you can see object list.
In object list --> select function group ---> right clik mouse --> and rename the function group.
Or goto SE37 --> go to function groups --> Change group --> give new name

QISRSCENARIO - Action Box - Adding a custom function module

Hello Experts,
Under the scenario ID for Performance Award in the transaction QISRSCENARIO I created a custom function module in order to exchange standard. I clicked on the follow-up Functions of the MCSP and then I type my new function module, then when I tried to save the changes I received this error message:
The function module Z_CUSTOMFUNCTIONMODULE cannot be used.
Diagnosis
The function module Z_CUSTOMFUNCTIONMODULE is not suitable to be used as a follow-up function, as the interface does not contain the required parameters.
Does anyone knows what parameters am I missing?

I would do it this way..
MCSP is delivered with HRWPC_PCR_SP_TRANSACTION_PA30 as the function module. In SE80, copy the function group HRWPC_PCR_SP_ACTIONS into a custom function group..say Z_PCR_SP_ACTIONS. When prompted to copy the function modules,select HRWPC_PCR_SP_TRANSACTION_PA30 & name the custom object as , say, Z_PCR_SP_TRANSACTION_PA30. put your custom code inside this function module.Activate the custom function group & function module.Now got to the Action Box & replace the Std function for MCSP with your custom function module.

Export, Import and Table declaration in custom function module

I am creating a custom function module. Parameters needed are export internal table and one data field from the internal table.
What do i need to fill for 'associated type' for these export parameters since size of the internal table and type for the data field from the internal table vary.

Import PB12.6 Custom Function into PB11.2 InfoMaker PBL

I've developed a PowerBuilder function for use within InfoMaker using version 12.6. My client is using InfoMaker version 11.2 with no access to PowerBuilder. The function is straightforward and compatible, but I have no way of adding the function to the version 11.2 PBL file without using PowerBuilder 11.2.
Can anyone suggest any options for importing this function into the lower version PBL file?

You can export the Function from your PB IDE environment and then import it into IM by the following registry changes that will enable the Import/Export icons in IM's Library Painter toolbar ...

PS: IF the "1004 0" toolbar entry is not there, modify the toolbar in the IM IDE by (for example) adding a space (-1 value) somewhere. This should force the registry entry to now be written & visible. Now you can edit the toolbar values - adding the two extra ones at the end. If you add a -1 before this pair, you will get a separator as well.

Hi,
I am trying to create a custom function to change the timezone of a field in the report depending on the timezone selected by the user in the prompt
I wrote a SQL Expression to do this , but i ended up creating a bunch of expressions for each time zone ,
So i am thinking of custom fuction some thing like
TimeZoneConvertor:
Fuction(TimeStampField , Timezone)
Returns: Timestamp field with newtimezone as selected by user
Hope you get this and please give me some kind of ideas to acheive this
