Import item stock quantities exported from previous application using DTW

Hi
I have a exported all the stock data (qty OnHand in all Warehouses) from the previous application that is replaced B1. I can not find a template which allows me to import these stock data using DTW. Stocktaking does not work since I don't have prices for these items.
I just want to import all the quantities. How can I do that?

You can still do it without the price using the StockTaking template.
In the Stock Posting tab of Initial Quantities, Inventory Tracking, ... screen Check the box
Allow Inbound Posting without Price

Importing playlists that were exported from iTunes as text

I need to re-import playlists that I exported from iTunes. When exporting them I didn't notice the format selector, which defaults to .txt format. iTunes requires .m3u or XML for playlist import. How can the information in these files be imported (including getting it into a compatible format)?

That is indeed the procedure for importing playlists. Been using it a lot, trying to get these playlists to re-import.

If I'd run an import immediately after exporting a playlist I'd have caught this. But who would expect that iTunes might not accept its own default playlist export format for playlist import?

Best way To get data from another application using NDDE lbrary

My vb.net application gets data from another application using NDDE Library. I got stocks prices (open,high,low,close,volume,change......(about 15 records for each stock)) (about 200 stocks) . I don't know if there is a problem in my code.

and then I get the data from Client_advise sub (called each time a value changed )and fill the list. What I know is that client advise gets only one record for single stock each time is called..

According to your description, you'd like to get data from another app using NDDE library.
When using the NDDE library, the CPU usage is high. As the NDDE library is third-party library, it is not supported here. I suggest you checking if the problem is caused by the NDDE library.
If you'd like to get data from another app. I suggest you could save the data in the dataBase, and then read it in another application if necessary.

Hide an error from the application using a servererror trigger?

We have an application designed for an old oracle version which issues some sql which is no more supported in todays database version.
We want to use the application unchanged with a new database server.
Old Server Version: 7.3.4 (still in production...)
New Server Version: 10.2 or 11.2
The application issues an
ALTER SESSION SET OPTIMIZER_GOAL = FIRST_ROWS ;
which results in ORA-01986 and the application dies.
We would like to hide the error 01986 from the application using a trigger:

Is it ok to export from FCP and use compressor at the same time? I am exporting a Self-Contained, Current Setting Quicktime Movie, and using Compressor to compress a similar HDV file to Mpeg2?

Exporting from FCP for use with PC

Hey all,
Trying to deliver a high-med quality 8 minute video from FCP for use with a PC. I've tried exporting both a .mov and .avi using DVCPro50, but neither are readable through the PC. Best I can get is sometimes audio will show up. Does anyone have a good solution for exporting from FCP for use with a PC?

I don't think DVCpro50 codec is available on a PC. I think panasonic has a special license with apple only, so you need to try a different codec for the avi.

I have a file created by digitizing an 8mm film at a rate of 24 fps. I would like to create a downloaded movie at a frame rate of 15 fps. The Export using Quicktime option seems to provide that capability but the resulting file has the same duration as the original 24 fps file. How can I get the exported movie to be slowed down?

There is a feature you can use to slow down the video. In the project, move the mouse pointer over the clip, then click the gear icon. That brings up the Inspector. Click the Clip tab. Then you will see a feature there called Speed. Move the slider to the left to slow down the clip. Or you can enter a percentage in the box on the right.
Hope this solves the problem for you.

Re-Importing DNGs which were exported from CR2s

Going forward, I'm sure this issue could be solved by a workflow change, but for now, I have a small problem:
I shoot a ton of images (20,000+ per year) and process in Lightroom. I have a workflow where I export my .CR2 originals as DNG for archiving to an external drive, to free up space on my local drive. Once they're copied over, I delete the folders from my Mac's hard drive via the Finder, which leaves the previews still searchable within Lightroom. This is great for searching and referencing archived stuff that I don't necessarily need to re-edit.
However, when I do need to re-edit something, once I copy the folder from the exernal drive back to its original location on my local HD for editing in LR, Lightroom doesn't recognize the files automatically since they now have a different file extension. I must click each thumbnail's question mark and point it to the file in question. Lightroom will not apply this same action to nearby photos.
Any thoughts on how to speed this up rather than addressing each image, one-by-one?

Exporting from Keynote 08 using applescript or automator

Does anyone have a method for triggering an export from applescript of an open keynote presentation, I have an action that takes a sequence of images (exported slides) sorts and loads into an new presentation and I would like to then export as .ppt
This allows the sad ppt user to see the slides perfectly formed (and stops them editing and stealing my ideas). However the last step of the export I have to do manually as I cant see any actions in automator or anything in the applescript dictionary.

I have 160 sales which all require a particular item needs to be
deleted before they can be processed further. It is ths same item on every order but
doesn't appear at the same row number. In some cases it may appear more than once
on an order.
The line item needs to be deleted based on the row numbers which could be different on every order (LineNum)
Rather than have admin go through them 1 by 1 and delete the
row is it possible I can use DTW to perform an update on each row to delete it?
I'm not sure how to do this since I have only ever used DTW
to add or edit.

Hi,
1. It is not possible to delete records using DTW, only importing new records or updating existing ones are supported. These are the only valid operations via DTW.
2. It is possible to delete the contents of an edit text field by using the character / or -1. However it is not possible to clear an entire row/line using this notation.

Access resource from other application using JAAS

i use JAAS for autenticate and autorizate in my web application, but i need access a resource from the other application , but this application don�t use JAAS.
How can i acces this resource from other application?
i know need send the parameters JSESSIONID, but , always redirecto the login page.

Can you ping server.domain.com from your client?
If you can ping it, then make sure your port is added as a rule in the firewall of the server.
Also make sure that the proxy setting of the client have an exception to server.domain.com.
If you cannot ping it, make sure the server and the client are conneted to the same network and make sure the hosts file on the client reflects the ipaddress and the hostname of the server.

Importing Legacy A/R and A/P Invoices using DTW

Hi All,
I have in interesteing situation which I need some help for.
We started using SAP B1 begining of 2008. We used DTW to import the open A/P and A/R invoices from last year (legacy data). We didn't want the legacy data to have any impact on P&L, only to be able to receive and make payments for these invoices in B1. Therefore we used a service inovice without posting to the revenue and COS accounts. Since it is not possible to post directly to a control account I created a new G/L account for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable (I called them AP Migrated and AR Migrated), which is not a control account.
When preparing the DTW files, In the lines file I specfied the AccountCode as this AR and AP Migrated G/L accounts.
Since the BP to whom these invoices relate to, have the A/P and A/R control account defined in the BP master data, each of these migrated invoices posted to the AP Migrated account with the Offset Account being the original A/P Control Account.
Now that I am recording payments, the AP and AR accounts are being updated but not the AP and AR Migrated accounts. To illustrate: Let's suppose I migrated an AP invoice for $100. It posted to the AP Migrated account and the Offset Account being the AP Control Account. Now the balance on the AP Migrated Account shows $100, and the balance on the AP Control Account shows -$100. Now after I record the payment for this invoice the AP Control Account balance is $0, but the AP Migrated account still shows $100.
How can this be rectified, and is this the correct way of doing this?

Once again, many thanks for your good and speedy replies.
I am only importing the AR & AP transactions which I need to process payments in the new fiscal year. I am not importing all the other PL stuff.
Am I better off using then a seperate GL account for the AP and a seperate one for AR?

Task :- Export table_1 of schema_a from database db1 and Import it to schema_b of database db2 as user other than schema owner
Solution :-
expdp system/pwd directory=expdp tables=schema_a.table_1 dumpfile=schema_a.table_1.dmp logfile=expdp_schema_a.table_1.log
impdp system/pwd directory=expdp tables=schema_a.table_1 dumpfile=schema_a.table_1.dmp logfile=impdp_schema_a.table_1.log remap_schema=schema_a:schema_b remap_tablespace=table_1_tablespace:schema_b_tablespace
