Import Service Line Details from MS Excel file
Dear All,
In ME22N when creating "Service related PO", I want to upload a list of service line details from an Excel File.
I have found some user exits as below. However they are not allow me to upload any data into the service line entry / table...

Export the data from Excel using csv type (comma separated variables). Then use sql-loader to load the data into Oracle.

What I'm trying to do is to create a new Project from the scratch, update the Issues List, not deleting or modifying columns, just creating new columns in order to match the names he (the Project Manager) put in his Issues List, then Export the list to Excel,
and then create a datasheet view matching the Exported list, but here I don't know how to import the list (copy / paste or whatsoever it can be done...)
Do you know how to do it, or do you know another/any method to solve this problem?

2 considerations:
The first one is that (as you experienced) one should not delete or rename any of the predefined columns in the risk/issue list. What you did is the right way, meaning keeping the native column as is and creating new ones based on the business needs. Finally
you just need to create view with the appropriate fields.
Then for importing risks from an Excel list, I can't test it right now, but you should have a datagrid view (MS Access type) allowing you pasting data from Excel.

I do not have such code, but i this link /people/janos.nagy/blog/2010/01/25/exporting--importing-authorization-using-ms-excel-in-sap-b1 you can find an excel example about authorization, and using Single Sign On (SAP B1 must have run with excel)
The method is similar, you can run any DI API operation from excel.

GUI_UPLOAD to read data from an Excel File
Hi Folks,
I'm using FM GUI_UPLOAD to read data from an Excel File. But all I see in the table returned is 1 row with garbage values (special chacaters). Excel Workbook has proper data in the sheet, but its not getting uploaded properly. Sy-subrc is 0.
What could be the reason?

How to remove a service line item from a service related PO
Guys,
I am doing a report thro' which a user can upload the details for a Service related PO. If the PO contains more Service Line Item than the upload file, then I want to remove those Service Line Items. I used BAPI_PO_CHANGE to upload the details. But I am trying to remove those additional Service Line Items using BDC in ME22 transaction. But it is not working correctly. Is there any program(s) thro' which I can remove those Service Line Items? Any expert thoughts....

Loading data from an excel file to Oracle Tables
Hi Everyone,
Once again I will have to bring some data from some excel file, which I have already done and "know" how to do and I would like to confirm with you all something first.
What I shall do is the following:
From one excel workbook file which has a lot of info just in one spread sheet feed some tables with the data coming from it.
So what I have though is create mane name ranges (Define names on excel) as I need and work with them, but I will be facing with headers on the rows and columns. There is where I doubt if it will be possible. So far, I will not be able to modify the Excel’s file structure.
Something more or less like this:

First of all, I do really appreciate your time, patience and guidance.
Ok, let me get this straight.
You will need to create a data server for each Excel Work book
That means that as I will just work with one excel sheet, I will just have one data server and within it, there will be the spread sheets (excel tabs) and therefore the different named ranges.
Each of your named ranges will be a data store beneath the data server which can be used as a source model in your ODI interfaces. Therefore if you have a single workbook with 12 sheets for the months, each covered by a single named range, you would have a single data server withe 12 data stores.
This means that I will have something like this:

- Spread sheet 1 (1 or several named ranges)
- Spread sheet 2 (1 or several named ranges)
- Spread sheet 3 (1 or several named ranges)
- Spread sheet n (1 or several named ranges)
I do think that if my statement above is correct, I think I got the idea. Is it like that?
I have gotten another question; let’s say for example that in any spread sheet I will have three different named ranges. The difference between spread sheet and spread sheet will be the month within and of course the information. Would it be accurate to bring it like that? That means that so far for twelve month I will bring 36 named ranges.

Not easily. An Excel file is typically in a proprietary binary file format. Perhaps saved using the new MS Office XML format.. which would be possible to process via Oracle's XDB.
But assuming it is in a binary format, you need "something else" to read and parse that file for you - like ODBC or DDE or COM/DCOM, etc.
Oracle supports Heterogeneous Database Services. On a Windows Server, you can create a database link in Oracle that uses an ODBC driver to connect to an ODBC data source. There are ODBC drivers for Excel. However, this requires the data in the worksheet to be properly marked as a data table. Or did last time I looked at it about 2 years ago.
You can also call external "interfaces" from PL/SQL using EXTPROC - such interfaces can be DLLs. Which means you do have access to the Win32 API and application APIs from PL/SQL. This can be used to access the content of an Excel file - DDE for example can quite easily do this (you use it to peek the contents of an Excel grid location), but requires Excel to be running and that spreadsheet to be loaded. DDE can also be used to poke contents (write something back to a cell in a spreadsheet).
But using Oracle code to use an Excel file as a kind of database file... that IMO does not make a lot of sense. At all. -

Can you do a vlookup in a pdf file coming from an Excel file?
The Excel file has the data that needs to populate a pdf file which is Adobe Write. It has fields you can write in but can you do a VLookup to pull in data from an Excel file? Thank you

Alas, you have found that UAC cannot be disabled from the user interface in Windows 8 any longer. It can just be turned down to the "run my software as a lowly user, but escalate without prompting" level.
It is possible, as a "To Work" option, to truly disable UAC but you have to do it the old way that was necessary with Vista before they caved and provided the UI to do it. But bear this in mind: If you DO disable UAC (and I mean really
disable it), you lose the ability to run Metro applications. That's right, they just won't run.
Personally I find that a bonus.

Hyperlinks from converted excel file are not working after pdf file is moved
I have created a pdf file from an excel file that has hyperlinks in it. The hyperlinks work fine if the files are all kept in the same exact location as the time they were created. Once the files are moved (i.e. emailed to another user) the hyperlinks no longer work. An error message pops up that the file can not be found. Is there a setting or something that I'm missing in acrobat that allows for the files to be moved, so that the hyperlinks still function properly, after creation
No settings adjustments.
The issue is that links, once made, have a specific path (as shown when you view the link's text string).
When you email the files the person who recieves the email and downloads the attachments would have to have the same layout of files/folders you have.
Without that links are "broken"
You email a zip file that, when extracted, would create the folders/files in the required layout to reflect what you have.

How can I create multiple QR Codes from an Excel File?
Hi there,
I am currently trying to set up business cards with a QR Code on the back of each card. Therefore I have an excel spreadsheet, which contains all the data necessary for the business card like name, function, e-mail adress,... the data is then filled in automatically by using the standard function with tags for each column (e.g. table column name is filled in as <<name>> in the specific location on the business card and once executed it is matched with the data from the excel file).
Is there anything which could help me to automate the personalization of the QR Codes?
All the bestFor free? Not at the moment. CC does have the ability to create QR codes but only one at a time. In CS6 (perhaps earlier versions?), regular poster/advanced scripter Jongware devised a script to prepare a QR code but again, could only do one at a time.
However, someone did build on Jongware's QR code to do this from an InDesign file that had the necessary information in tagged text boxes and would prepare QR codes accordingly. However, it would leave them in the InDesign file (e.g. not separate EPS/PDFs).
So, a long workaround would be:

data merge the current data into the indesign file using the similar structure as the fourth poster in that post had written

It's a lot of work to generate multiple QR codes.
