hi
can u tell me

Hi,
Exchange Rate fixed in PO means, at the time of GR and LIV, system will not pick up the current exchange rate from *OB08*, it will take the exchange rate fixed in PO
Create following condition types for Import Duties (Do not create any Z-condition type)
JCDB IN:Basic Custom Duty
JCV1 IN : CVD
JECV IN : Ed Cess on CVD
J1CV IN : H&SECess on CVD
JEDB IN : Ed Cess on BCD
JSDB IN : H&SECess on BCD
JADC Addnl Duty of Custom
Also check following;
SPRO > Logistics - General > Tax on Goods Movements > India > Basic Settings > Determination of Excise Duty > Maintain Excise Defaults > Here assign following for Tax Procedure;
CVD cond. - CV1
ECS cond. - JECV
ADC cond. - JADC
Also do account determination in OBYC as your have already done for MIRO of Customs Invoice.
Also check in SPRO > Logistics - General > Tax on Goods Movements > India > Basic Settings > Maintain Company Code Settings > Here Assign CVD Clearing A/c in your Company Code.
Import Procedure: -
1. First you create Import PO and input all the Import duties in PO.
2.Then you do LIV for Customs Office (Here you enter all the Import duties as per Bill of Entry) and following A/c entry get generated;
Customs Office A/c - Cr (Vendor Recon A/c)
Customs Duty Clearing A/c - Dr (OBYC - ZCC)
CVD Clearing A/c - Dr (OBYC - ZCV)
3. Then Capture Bill of Entry in J1IEX.
4. Then you do GR w.r.t. Import PO (MIGO), Accounting Entry will come as following;
Stock A/c - Dr (OBYC - BSX)
GR/IR Clearing A/c - Cr (OBYC - WRX)
Customs Clearing A/c - Cr (OBYC - ZCC)
5. Post Bill of Entry in J1IEX, and Accounting Entry will come as following;
CENVAT Receivable A/c (BED, ECS, SECess and ADC) - Dr (From Account Detmn of GRPO with Sub Trans Type - IP)
CVD Clearing A/c - Cr (From Compnay Code Settings of Excise)
6. MIRO - For Import Vendor
Import Vendor - Cr (Recon A/c)
GR/IR Clearing A/c - Dr (WRX)
7. MIRO - For Clearing Agent
Out of following conditions;
JCDB IN:Basic Custom Duty
JCV1 IN : CVD
JECV IN : Ed Cess on CVD
J1CV IN : H&SECess on CVD
JEDB IN : Ed Cess on BCD
JSDB IN : H&SECess on BCD
JADC Addnl Duty of Custom
JCDB, JEDB, JSDB will get loaded to Stock and JCV1, JECV, J1CV and JADC will get posted to CENVAT Receivable A/c
In M/08, assign A/c Key ZCC to JCDB, JEDB, JSDB conditions and Customs Clearing A/c in OBYC and A/c Key ZCV to JCV1, JECV, J1CV and JADC conditions and CVD Clearing in OBYC.
Note: - Here you don't have to use Tax Procedure Accounting (OB40) in case of Imports. Only maintain a Zero % Tax Code in Import PO.

  • Vendor Consignment for Split Valuated Materials

    Dear All,
We have a scenario where in our material is split valuated,we have 2 valuation type import and Domestic, both the valuation type is being supplied by a single distributor, the price of the import valuation type is different from the price of domestic valuation type.
We are trying to configure consiginment process for split valuted material. While maintianing consignment info record, we are not able to maintian separate info record for import and domestic valuation type (since material /vendor/plant/purchase organization are same).Hence while doing goods issue using 201 K, the system is taking the price from the info record. Is there any solution available, to post the  goods issue for import valuation type at a different price and domestic valuation type at different price.
    Thanks,
    Vairavan.

How system will pick the info record price for movement type 201 K ?
As of my knowledge, system will create accounting entry as per the material price (MM03 - Accounting 1 view for the valuation type)
It may create problem for 411 K movement type, but not for movement type 201 K.
If you need to pick different price as per valuation type, then you can do this via condition table.
Have a look into the discussion Info record Price on the basis of Valuation type

  • Split Valuation X Automat. Batch, FI entry not correct

    Dear all,
During post the goods receipt ref of PO for split valuated material (Valuation Category = u201CXu201D Automat. (Batch). This material type is FERT but valuation class is different and price indicator is u2018Vu2019 MAP.  In Material type setting for FERT is in Valuation Tab contains, fields Price Control set as u2018Su2019 Standard Price. When post the goods receipt note the accounting entries is like Price Difference A/c Dr To GR/IR Clearing. But standard entry should be like Stock (Equipments) A/c Dr. to GR/IR Clearing.
In system standard FI entry comes in following changes.
    1. When remove the valuation category u201CXu201D Automat. (Batch).
    2. When change the material type properties of valuation tab field Price control u201CVu201D in place of u201CSu201D thru T code OMS2 and in Material Master remain with Valuation category u201CXu201D Automat. (Batch).
Requirement is keep in Material Type properties like Price control u201CSu201D and in Material master we keep valuation category with u201CXu201D Automat. (Batch).  And FI entry should become standard one as Stock A/c  Dr. to GR/IR.

    Hi Santosh,
if you want to activate the batch split (automatic bath ), the material  must be moving average price not standard price.
when you receive the goods againt the purchase order, syytem will ask you to enter batch.
Then it will update the new batch price in the material master, and update the stock postings without any price difference.
If it is fixed batch split ( auto batch split), then you can maintain both the pricing catagories.
    Ex;
if the material is procuring form different  places ie Import  and  local
Here there are two fixed valution types based on the origin
IMPORT  VALUATION TYPE  : FIXED PRICE  "S"
LOCAL VALUATIONTYPE   : MOVING PRICE "V"
In the material master create the accounting view (without valuation type) maintain the price as moving average,
Then extend the accounting view for the valuation type IMPORT,  price as standard price
extend the accounting view for the valuation type  LOCAL , as moving average price.
In case of LOCAL valuation only the price difference will trigger, for IMPORT will  not trigger.
    Thanks

  • Valuation Record Error

While doing GR for Material  iam getting this error
Valuation record 300105 XXXX DOMESTIC does not exist
    Message no. M7077
Actually i created 2 valuation types in configuring split valuation
    Domestic and Foreign
in Material master for this material i have selected orign H.
In PO also i have selected Domestic valuation type
While doing MIGO i am getting this error

    Hi,
You should not change the valuation class as per your requirement. This will impact on valuation of that particular material.
If one material is procured from domestic as well as Import then use Split Valuation Concept.
For this go to customization:Tcode-OMSK- create two valuation classes and assign the same to respective account category reference.Lets say val class for Domestic is 1001 and for Import it is 1002
and for header it will be 1000
    Tcode-OMWC
       Now create valuation category=P(lets say)
Now create valuation type=Domestic and Import.
Assign this valuation type to the corresponding Account Category reference and then active the same for "P" valuation category.
In global types active for respective Plants.
Now create the material "M" for the particular Plant and in accounting View-1 put
Valuation Category=P and Val. Class=1000......after maintaining other required views just save the material master.
Now again goto MM01,put the material code created and then choose only accounting view-1,put plant and valuation type=Domestic, then in accounting view-1 put corresponding Val Class=1001 and then save.
Repeat the same for maintaining the Import Valuation type.
Now when you check in MM60 the structure of material code will look like:
    Plant...........Material...........Valuation type.............Valuation Class..........Price Control
    5000            M                                                            1000                           V
    5000            M                      Domestic                        1001                          V
    5000            M                      Import                              1002                            V
Now you can choose the required valuation type for this single material.
In this way the stock and its value will separate to Domestic and Import.
Hope this will solve your problem.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Bijay Pradhan

  • Valuation type for two account category reference

    Hi Experts
    I created valuation type for
    1)     DOMESTIC & IMPORT with account category reference 0001 (for raw material)
it is applicable only with ROH material type.
    2)     Same Valuation type DOMESTIC & IMPORT system donu2019t allow to create for other account category reference 0003 ( it is for ZESS spares)
Here requirement is material type ROH & ZESS need to DOMESTIC purchase and IMPORT purchase. hence both material type need DOMESTIC & IMPORT  valuation type How to solve this?
    karan

Assign both the valuation class to the account category reference. And then assign both the material types to the same account category reference.
You can assign multiple valuation class to an Account Category Reference.
A valuation class can only be assigned to only one account category reference
Only ONE account category reference can be assigned to a material type
where as multiple Material Types can be assigned to a account category reference.
    Hope this helps!!

  • Data Import error - Valuation Method (ODBC -1029)

Hello all, first post on the SCN. I did some search for similar problems, but nothing seemed to help here.
We are using Business One, two different companies and databases. We were at the time of the year to update the price list, so we used the Administration -> Data Import/Export -> Data Import -> Import from Excel.
One company (US only) imports perfectly, but the other database (Canada + US) gives me the following error message on 91 / 1036 entries.
Row Number xxx : [Items - Valuation Method] , 'Field cannot be updated (ODBC -1029)
Since the errors only appears on one of the two databases, I ruled out that the excel sheet we used to be the problem.
The excel sheet only has 4 columns : The item identification, the price list that it needs to update, the price, and the currency (USD or $ for us).
Neither of the two companies use any valuation method. In fact, neither companies have the field at all in Item Master Data, and its grayed out in the Company Details.
We also made a dump of the entire item database, and compared what items were imported successfully and those that generated the error, and while the column Valuation Method either had nothing or A, there was no pattern to it. Some errors had nothing, some had A in it.
I checked for any other differences between items that were imported and the ones with error, and cannot see any visible differences, so all I can think here is that its either an invisible setting when the item was created, or there's some character that is creating a fault somewhere (like an empty space).
One of the topics found on this error message (ODBC -1029) said that we might need to request a script to fix the database, but that topic was back in 2006, I'm not sure if it still applies, 8 years later.
Essentially I ran out of things to try on my end. Now I can only ask to the experts.
    Thank you for your time!

The company that has troubles importing does not allow us to change the Valuation Method for each item. The field is missing entirely from the Item Master Data. I included a screenshot.
The field is grayed out in the Company Details, but its set as Moving Average. The other company uses Moving Average by default as well, from the looks of it (the field does appear in Item Master Data, but its grayed out).
We used the same excel sheet to import data in both companies, just need to figure out why its 100% on one side and not on the other side.
Just to be a bit more clear, we cannot select or visualize the Valuation Method on the items that are not getting imported. Its invisible.
When we exported the full list of items, there was no pattern between the items that are not imported and those that are imported properly.
To be clear, the Valuation Method for :
Items that are imported properly are A or blank.
Items that are not imported and generate an error are A or blank.
There is no logic between those that work and those that do not, which is why I can't figure it out on my own.
    Thank you!

  • Import po for non valuated material

    hi sap guru's
my client have one import po in that po material is non valuated at the time of MIRO for posting cvd ,custom, that time system not posting cvd, custom to approprit account (zcv account) they showing only vendor account
and client want to post cvd ,custom to zcv account how i can configure this senario
    Thanks

    Hi,
    You can try following
    1) Do not create Non valuated PO, enter price as atleast 1$ or any currency so that you can maintain Customs conditions, then at the time of MIRO change the Customs Duty as per BOE.
    2) If you want to have Non Valuated PO only, then post Customs duties thru FB60 (Finance JV) and take Excise credit thru J1IH.

  • Material Split Valuation : Procurement Domestic & Import

    Dear CO Experts,
I m in a situation where my client has a Raw Material (RM), which is procured domestic & also imported. This RM is attached to a single FG in a BoM.
Do differentiate domestic & import procurement, they have used Split Valuation.
The reason behind such a decision is, since that RM is very sensitive and delay could not be affordable.
Clients are now requesting to have a seperate view of Standard Cost Estimate based on Slipt Valuation. We have observed that execution of Standard Cost Estimate picks only RM which is based on local currency.
Please help me to understand & few steps of missing config, how to have a dual view (based on Slipt Valuation) of Standard Cost Estimate.
    Regards,
    Hussein.

    Hi Hussein
Two RMs are required - But its not a good option... It creates lot of probs in MRP if you have duplicate codes...
Two FGs are not required if you go for 2 RMs....
    a. You can create 2 BOMs... The RM will be different in each BOM
    b. Routing may be the same
    c. Create 2 Prod versions i.e. BOM 1 + Routing = PV1 and BOM2 + Routing = PV2
    d. Create 2 Proc Alternatives in CK91N using the Prod 2 Versions
    e. Create a Mix ratio in CK94 i.e. weighing factor that you can assign to each PV
    f. Calculate cost from CK11N... Costs will be calculated separately for each PV and at the end system would apply the mix ratio specified in CK94
    Eg: Cost of PV1 = 100 and Cost of PV2 = 120... If mix ratio is 50:50 - Then Std cost would be 110 (100 * 0.5 + 120 * 0.5)
From my experience - I would advise you to drop your requirement and educate your client about the same... have one single raw material (you can use Split Valuatoin) and use the Average price for Std cost... While execution - The cost of consumption would be charged as per Domestic or Import... This would hence, reflect the price variance....

  • Valuation class for imports and domestic material

    Hi,
We wanted to hit different GLs for domestic and Imported materials inventory and therefore we have defined two valuation classes for Domestic and Imported material and these  valuation classes are attached to respective materials in account view 1.
But now our problem is , we have few materials which are procured from domestic market as well as Aboard market.
Therefore now we are facing problem how to hit correct GLs based on the nature of procurement.
    Thx in advance...
    Regards
    Sandeep marwha

use split valuation , since materail details is a master record we cant dupoicate .
so use split valuation and give a diffrent valuation class which correcponds to a diff gl account .
so when ver u create a Po givethe valuation type also , so that at Gr doing time , the stock will hit that gl act only. other wise will create issue , it will be grayed out while doin Gr .

  • Importance of Profit centre filed for non valuated material

Importance of Profit centre filed for non valuated material material master

    Hi
Profit center field in case of non valuated material is useful, only if your consumption a/c is not a cost element. In this case, it takes PC from mat master
Else, if takes PC from the CO object in which the GR is accounted.
However, your screen layout in MM might have defined PC as a mandatory field in MM01.. For this, you need to contact your MM consultant

  • Wrong Valuation type import to be removed from Purchase order

    Hi experts,
By mistake , valuation type import is maintained in our system.  Correct valuation class which is also maintained is Imports.
The wrong valuation type import is automatically captured every time when the user makes an imported  Purchase Order which in turn creates problem at the time of GR.
We want to disable the wrong valuation type Import from the purchase order screen.
Please suggest. Suggestion / Solutions will be highly rewarded.
    Regards,
    ( Rajneesh Gulati )

    Hi,
Go to path, SPRO - MM - valuation - split valuation - configure split valuation.
then click on Global categories and then in this screen select the valuation category that was created and next to it there should be a default valuation type assigned for this category under DVT ExtPr field. Remove this by changing it to blank and then save.
In case if you dont want to use the valuation type then why dont you deactivate the types under the category.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Stock Valuation in Import

    Dear All
For Import of Raw materials, we make the PO in USD. The accounting entry in the Stock Account after MIGO is updated at a certain rate of exchange. The document is posted in USD. However, the client requirement is that the document currency for MIGO should be INR, where as the PO has to be in USD.
    Pls suggest
    Regards
    Vaibhav

    Hi
I agree that the GL Document is updated in INR. But the requirement is that the Currency Conversion should happen at not the exchange rate specified in the system, but the system should ask the user before posting.

  • Valuation wise stock report

    Hi Friends,
Is there any report where we can see stock report valuation type wise.
E.g. i created two valuation types Domestic and Import. Also i created two storage location separately for both valuation type. I am able to see report based on storage location but not on basis of valuation type.
Seeking your guidance how can we withdraw report based on valuation type
    Regards
    Vivek

    Hi,
    Use report MB5L
Here in selection screen, enter valuation Type and execute the report.
    In output screen,
Double click on the GL Account, it will show the report having current details of material with stock qty, Base UoM, Stock Value and Valuation Price with Price Control and valuation type.
Do layout setting as per requirement.
