Importance of GR/IR clearance

I Would  like to know
1.If we are not clearing the GR / IR Account  whether it will affect the Financially in that company.
because GR /IR account is temporary account.

Hi,
GR /IR account is NOT a temporary account. GR/IR Clearing account is an interim account (between the stock account and the vendor account.) where the Invoice value is stored but we have not actually receive the Invoice. This is a balance sheet( Liabilities) account where without acc. assign. cat.in the PO, the G/L is getting updated through WRX resulting offsetting entry.
Any balance at any reasons at month end or year end ( as per business requirement) is adjusted with t.code: MR11(GR/IR Clearing Account Maintenance)

if the Custom clearance actvity is a external service work, how can i complete the cycle with out service entry sheet.
    Any pls help out
    Thank you

    HI,
For comparing the vendor rates u can use the Quotation process by selecting item category K in quotation.
But generally the imports scenario in India has 7 standard  conditions which are all Planned delivery cost.Where u do the MIRO
first & MIGO next.Because u pay the customs & clearing agent first and then receive the material. So it is better to follow the
standard SAP procedure. For this SAP notes are available how to create the standard conditions.

  • Clearance Delay-Import

Has anyone had clearance delay-import for their ipad shipment in the US? Status on FedEx website "Documention illegible Shipment requires a complete Commercail Invoice." Hadn't seen this one before in any international shipments, thought I ask. Thanks

    Knightsky,
I got exactly the same Fedex progress status, "Clearance Delay - Import, Documentation illegible Shipment requires a complete Comercial Invoice" MIne is in Memphis Tenessee, and it arrived there since March 31st, so today it will be 3 days awaiting clearance. Prior to that my estimated time of delivery was for April 4th (tomorrow), but I doesnt look good so far...
I contacted both, Fedex first and then Apple, Fedex said they already contacted Apple and that they were awaiting a fax with proper documentation. A very nice rep at Apple told me she was not sure why this happened and put me on hold for a while to investigate the issue, later on she explained to me that they would get to it and that the delivery date of April 4th was still on, she also issued a $69 cash refund to my credit card as a result of this, which I thought was very nice.
I dont know how often Fedex refreshes the tracking status, but it is usually several times per day depending on activity, as of right now, if my New iPad still in Memphis, I unless they send it air from there ( which I doubt), it will get here a couple of days late, that if it clears customs...
I will update this thread when something new happens. so you re not alone with this issue...

Top comand shows i have 26 GB free physical memory (out of 48GB total) and also 123 GB free swap out of 150 GB total. CPU load is also only 3 %. I have already configured the project file acording to sap recommedation. MY oracle init file configuration looks like this. Also, you will see my project and user_attr files below. • Trigger of Import Declaration (Work List) for SO based inbound flows in ECC

    Hello Experts,
I am running a feasability study for GTS Customs managment Import. My client is using SO based flows for the return flows (SO-Delivery-Mtrl Document). In order to use local clearance (to avoid VAT and Customs Fee) we need to set this flow up in SAP and enable the doucment transfer from ECC to GTS.
We have come up with a few high level alternatives for the trigger for the GTS Import Declaration. It would be great if you could have a look on them and let us know your thoughts. What is feasible and what is not? Any recommendations?
Alt 1: Create Z program for the RFC call to GTS which basically is a copy of the standard program but it modifies the SO to be perceived as an PO in GTS and the Delivery to be perceived as an Inbound Delivery.
Alt 2: Use the SPL check which is set up in GTS Compliance management. Might be an alternative since the SO and Delivery is transferred to GTS for the SPL check. We should be able to find some user exit or BADI in the SPL check from where we can trigger det SO and Delivery to the Work List in GTS Customs Management.
Alt 3: Integrate the feeder system with GTS as an external system. This will require that we have IDoc outputs from the SO and Delivery on the feeder side and that we activate BAdI for Mapping External Data with or w/o Document Reference in GTS.
Alt 4: Treat the SO import flow as an Export flow in GTS (triggering it through a proforma document on the feeder side) but configure the activity sequence according to the Customs Authorities import specification.
Another question that we have is relating to GTS Inventory Management which we must use in order to use local clearance procedure. Is it possible to set up GTS inventory management without a Customs Warehouse and without configuring the Customs ID on the feeder side? Could it be used with the any of the alternatives above?
    Any input is welcomed.
    Thank you and best regards
    Andreas

You mentioned that you are looking  to use local clearance (to avoid VAT and Customs Fee), I read this as using the customs warehouse functionality in GTS.
If you have the customs warehouse set up, you may want to check out the returns order movement type (651)  This is what the GTS library says: u201CThe system treats returns orders with returns deliveries (651) in the feeder system just like a receipt posting from a regular goods movement, because you post goods receipts in the feeder system by choosing a goods issue based on an outbound delivery. The customs warehouse handles these postings just like goods receipts, however, and therefore analogous to regular goods movements for customs warehouse receipts, with movement type 101.u201D
So if you have a goods receipt, you can create a entry into the customs warehouse. To get it out, youu2019d need some type of outbound movement. GTS would see this as an issue (reduction) of the customs warehouse. This outbound does not necessarily need a connection with a specific PO.
Also, for customs warehouse, this outbound movement, if it is customs cleared in the country where the customs warehouse is located is a u201Cdomestic movementu201D.
If a material is flagged as batch relevant, you can add a batch reference at the time of PO, or inbound delivery.  For sales, you can add at time of SO or goods issue.
This batch number serves as a link for the transaction data.  This number allows you to track the materials in a transaction through the purchas/mfg/sale process.  Attached to the number can be a great deal of info on the material in the transaction. Through the batch reporting, you can track forwards or backwards all the follow-on transactions associated with the batch.

  • Import meterial pricing procedure steps, accruvals doubt in freight conditi

pls guide me , what steps are  involved to import meterial in pricing procedure?
accrols and account keys maintain for freight conditon types , both we have to maintain or only one? if maintain in automatic account determination maintain same G/L ACCOUNT number will maintained or different no's will be maintained?

    Hi Sai
Your import pricing procedure shall contain the following:
    1) Delivery costs for Custom clearance
      - Custom duty
      - CVD
      - Ecess on CVD
      - SEcess
      - Ecess on customs
      - Addl custom duty
    2) Delivery cost for agent charges
    3) Local freight charges
All the above condition types are delivery costs only.
For every condition type, you will maintain the vendor, so that the respective condition delivery costs can be processed based on the document.
As soon as the material received at port, you will do MIRO for all the duties
By the the material reached banglore, you will do goods receipt.
The local freight can be processed based on the requirement (either before GR or after).

  • How to handle DEPB in SAP in case of imports

    Dear all,
I need some help about how to handle DEPB licence in case of imports.
My client is a trading company. It Imports goods. for the payment of custom duty it purchase DEPB licence from third party and do the clearance against DEPB
So when they pass the custom duty MIRO, i have to keep track of how much amount is utilised from which DEPB licence..
in custom clearace more than one DEPB licence can be used.
What settings i have to do in pricing procedure?
What I think is, we can create one vendor as DEPB vendor and when we pass miro for duty we will pass it against DEPB vendor?

  • Import PO Conditions, Update Price tab and price type

    Dear All,
Creation of Import PO is little bit panic for users as they have to maintain minimum 10/12 condition per
line item. Also have to maintain the respective vember. My question is
    1) During creation of PO condition value get copied. I want the 7 condition (JCDB,JCV1,JECV,J1CV, JECS,JSDB,JADC)
to be remain as it is and the balance freight, custom clearance, clearing charges to be wipe
out.But no such option found in "update prices" tab.Is there any setting to do such activity?
    2) Can i customize "pricing type "as per the requirement?
    3) Is there any way to avoid such tedious creation of Import PO?
    4) There are 22 entries for price type and 12 customer reserve fields. How to use/customize these fields?
    Regards
    Sachin

    Hi Ajit,
In import PO generally the tax part is always fix.like BCDEcessHEcess,  CVDEcessHEcess, Additional Tax.But the
Insurance,Freight ,Clearing charges has to maintain as actual. So its maintain after receipt of Air way bill or Bill of Ladding.
So we want to maintain value of only tax condition at the time of creation of Import PO and balance when we were posting the planned delivery cost.Thats why we can't wipe out that condition from pricing procedure.
We want the other condition to be wipe out by  customizing in Update Price button...Hope this will u...

  • Need Clarification on Import Pricing procedure in South Africa

    Hi Experts,
Please let me know the import pricing procedure followed in South Africa.
Our Scenario is "We are raising the material PO to Overseas Vendor and a separate Freight Forwarder will do the customs clearing on behalf of us. We are receiving two invoices. One from the overseas vendor for the materials and another from Freight vendor for the Customs clearance and Freight."
In the Freight forwarder invoice, the components are (Split Fee, Cartage Fuel Surcharge, Cartage, Ailine Bond charges, Customs duty, Customs VAT and agency/documentation/facility/ release fee).
Can we do this by using Std import process? Please let me know your suggestions abt the import pricing procedure.

  • Trading material importing

    Hi Everybody.
My client have a scenario that, they want to make import for a trading materials,(Pricing control is Standard Price) The customs duties like CVD, ECess & Addnl Duty will be Non Modvat. Since it is a Non modvat it will add to the Material cost in actual process. But for my client it should not add to the Material cost and Exchange rate in PO Header level it should not fixed while making PO and posting GR, since exchange diff. rate will add to another account because of STD price.
Please let me know the solution for this scenrio if anybody experienced.
    regds,
    Dhanu

I really thankful for this suggestion.
But in our scenario we are importing a Trading Material for this we will pay the excise duties. In this case in SAP the process will be
    MIRO - Customs Clearance
MIGO - Goods receipt (Here the account document will get generate and the    delivery cost like CVD & Cess will add to the material cost.)
J1IG - We capture the excise duty this will get update to the register when I make sale same duty will remove.
In normal case for Raw Material - After making MIRO, the J1IEX will be done here we will capture the duties which was paid. Then we will make MIGO here the accounting document will not generate for CVD and Ecess.
I am using the version 4.6 C & price control is Standard price, I dont want to create the accounting document which I will take the a credit.
Please give the solution for this. I have clarified which I want to do, for more clarification if is required kindly let me know.
    thanks
    regards,

  • Importing bins

Hi there, I'm having some import issues that I could use some advice on.
The setup is one month-old FCS2 suite on a new Mac Pro, one 13-year-old Avid Composer suite that could breathe its last any day now.
I want to get at least the bins, if not the sequences, into the FCP system. I know about automatic duck but have not been given budget clearance to buy it, instead I've been asked to spend hundreds of dollars worth of work hours to find a kludgey workaround.
There are two vectors that I can see here:
    1. Avid Log Exchange (ALE) to Cinema Tools Database to Final Cut pro. Success! But the clip names are all changed to (BinName)_(StartingTimecode). There are way too many clips and bins over on the Avid to change them all one at a time on the FCP. I can batch capture them though.
The question: using either Cinema Tools, FCP, or some spreadsheet/database program, How can I restore the clip name information in a way that FCP will recognize? (note that I can open an ALE in a spreadsheet app and easily copy the clip names en masse)
Vector 2: ALE to XML(Via Excel or OpenOffice), to FCP
This works great except that when I try to import the XML into FCP, I get the message "Please choose a translation document file". What is a translation document file and where can I get one? And will this even work?
The ALE is of course just a tab-delimited text file that opens perfectly in all three spreadsheet programs I've tried. From there it's just a few curse words to an XML file. I've tried changing the column names to match the appropriate column in FCP before creating the XML, but where am I really failing here?
    Thanks in Advance

I've solved the problem, or at the very least, I've developed an only somewhat convoluted workaround that won't cost $500. I've seen other people searching for this, so I'll report my procedure.
This is for transferring bin contents from pre-XML versions of Avid to the current version of Final Cut Pro (FCS2).
When importing the Avid Log Exchange, FCP takes the clip's name information from the Scene column, not the Name column. The original Avid Name column is shunned by FCP, there's nothing you can do.
So on the ancient rusting Windows NT4 box, I first added the Scene column to the bin view, then copied one of the clip names into the relevant Scene column and exported the ALE.
I then slid over to the new Mac Pro, opened the ALE in an Open Office spreadsheet, so I could easily copy and paste the rest of the clip names into the Scene column.
Save as a Tab Delimited file. Change the extension to ALE.
Open Final Cut and select Import/Cinema Tools Telecine Log. Choose the new ALE file. Presto-chango, all those old Avid clips lined up nice and neat in FCP, ready to be captured.
I think the last two years worth of major projects ought to be sufficient to promote to Final Cut.
I guess we could pay Automatic Duck $500 to do this for us, but I've got a co-op student to make work for. Rock on. Bonus marks if he can pull it off by friday.

  • Clearance Charges in MIRO

For Import PO scenario, I am posting two invoices for Clearance Charges for the same Vendor (only one condition maintained in PO for clearance charges).
    E.g
rs 2000 clearance charges for 100 qty (in PO)
I am posting first invoice of rs 1500 for 100 qty. again i am posting 2nd invoice of rs 500 for 100 qty. (Manual entries).
Because of this there is diff. in GR and IR postings and while doing GR system automatically half the value and load it on material.
Is there any setting wherein if i put 1500 rs in Miro system should automatically calculate qty 75. ?
    Kindly provide your valuable suggestions.
    regards

in the PO you can call the same condition more than once
call the condiiton twice and enter 1500 and 500.
i haven't had a scenario like this but i think it should work pl test

  • Can any body please give me an idea and the Import and Export process?

Can any body please give me an idea and the Import and Export process? Excise Duty and other duties and so on.
I will be highly obliged for the help.
    Regards,
    Subhasish

for importing material, every importer has to file bill of entry in customs.
first vendor send some documents like certificate of origine , bill of lading, packing list etc to importer.
on the basis of those documents, importer makes supporting documents like duty calculation sheet, GATE declaration form,CHA declaration form, insurance certificate.
CHA (custom house agent ) file the bill of entry on behalf of impoter in customs.
    custom verify it.
after duty payment, CHA can clears the consignment from custom.
there are two typs of BOE.
    1 Home consumption BOE
    2 Warehousing BOE
in 1st type of BOE , payment of duty is done at the time of custom clearance
and in 2nd type of BOE, importer can put material in warehouse without payment of duty. at time of using those material from warehouse, importer has to file out bond warehouse BOE and pay the all duties.
