In 3.5, =recordmode value for delta ZIC upload

I am creating an ODS in 3.5 to delta load data to a Z infocube.
What value shoud i put to 0RECORDMODE in the infosource??
What type of data must it be? CHA1 or another standard type?

Negative values in report for delta

Hello,
I am getting negative values for service level report metrics in delta loading, intresting thing is metrics is giving correct values for almost all the order but for around 40 order I am getting -ve values in metrics (i am getting -100 % and correct value should be 100 %, it is for around 40 records only for other records I am getting it correctly), If I do the full initalization again it brings me the correct poistive values but again get some -ve values when I run the new delta loads.
Please give your suggestion on comments on this. I will assign point to all the answers and full point to right answer.

Kedar, yes these are custom extractor using 2lis_11_v_ssl and 2lis_11_vaitm going to ods and then to infocube and I am reporting it on infocube. can you please specify in detail what exactly I should check on extracotr side/ do I need to check at first level ODS anthing specific ??
as these metrics calculation are done using RKFs and CKFs in query designer and those all are correct.
Pl advise

The message seems to say that a value for MXREF_MX_PREVILEGE corresponds to MSKEY,
however the value set by this job is MSKEYVALUE.

An answer for your first question is Yes.
Table sapCentaurusprofile has 1053 profile entries.(Centaurus is ERP Repsitory name)
And I have not changed any pass since I created a job 'AS ABAP - Initial Load',
so proberbly entry type and other parameters are correct .
For reference's sake, disabling delta checkbox of WriteABAPProfilePrivileges's delta pass ,profiles were loaded and could be found in ID's privilege menu.
(Excuting reset delta job or not makes no differences to result.)
Then the job went through with no errors, and assignments was set correctly.
The problems at the moment are
1. WriteABAPProfilePrivileges ended with no errors. but with delta enabled, why privileges can't find in IDS
(Only one IDS is defined in Identity Store).
2. All passes completely ending, but privileges which come from 'ABAP Roles' is not assigned to users.
I think these questions get off the subject.
So I'll make new thread.
The problem of title is resolved because of advices of you.

I have gone through the notes 589024,637927 to find out Blocked Stock value for a Particular Material at different plants . But I have to get Blocked Stock value at each Material Division . Kindly give some light on it to get it.
The steps are same for finding the Consignment stock value and Transit Stock value. So kindly help me if any body has already worked on it.

well these notes work but they're prerequisites that have bothered me and unabled me to fulfill our requirement, for instance, having the material number in the drilldown and so on in order to perform the calculation during query execution.
I believe there is not much more alternative if you still want to calculate valuations accurately at SLOC or any other stock indicator during query execution...
I started from the basic fact that valuation of material underneath the plant/valuation area (in my case 1 PLANT = 1 VALAREA).; precisely because all movements doens't carry all information as per the note explanation.
So what we have done is to pull a cube with all Article/Sites MAP values; this can be done in several ways; MBEW/MBEWH are holding MAP values per fiscal periods; it has sufficient for us until now: our operations are asking to track MAP values more frequently.... So I am investigating how to work this out and have several alternatives:
- MSEG has additional fields (available in the extract structures) like Total Stock Qty/Value PRIOR the posting. There is as well an indicator telling if the posting is relevant for the valuation (if it is going to affect the Qty/MAP or not). So it is possible to get the MAP after the posting for each material movement.
- Create a change pointer on MBEW/MBEWH.
- MKPF has two convenient fields (CPUDATE and CPUTIM) from which we could build our own delta extractor tracking MAP changes
In BW the Idea is to have a cube registering the Article/Plant valuation in time (non-cumulative) and then fulfill our queries via a multicube...

Generic function module for delta - which FM ?

Hi all,
I want to create a custom generic datasource in R3 which uses a function module for delta extraction. This is straight forward for full extract (copy FM RSAX_BIW_GET_DATA_SIMPLE - I already did this and have a full extraction working to BW). However I need to extract delta - and the above function module does not have example code for that (I have seen some forum posts that it 'can' be used - but this looks like a pseudo get around where the delta field name is passed in I_T_SELECT).
FM RSVD_BW_GET_DELTA_DATA seems to be an example code of a FM which can allow delta (i.e. manually codes how to fill date/time stamp information). However when I code this and try test in RSA3 it seems to try to populate the delta selection field before calling my function module! I need it to call my function and allow the function to specifiy the date criteria.
Can anyone help with an example of how this should best be done ?
Or can it only be done in a pseudo form using 'RSAX_BIW_GET_DATA_SIMPLE' example FM.
Note: I have setup the RSO2 datasource to allow delta.
Also - I have spent several hours searching the forum - but please answer with a link if you think it does answer exactly this problem.

How to make CRM data sources for delta capability?

Hi All,
I know that the CRM data sources 0CRM_SALES_ACT_1, 0CRM_QUOTATION_I, 0CRM_SALES_ORDER_I have delta capability.
At present we are doing full loads daily but it has got some performance issues.So we are thinking to make these as delta loads.
Already some one has made a trail to make delta loads but not successful for some unknown reasons.
Could you please suggest me the steps to make these data sources delta capable both in CRM and BW systems?
As this is urgent...Please suggest ASAP.

Solutions
Question 1 : The Extraction from CRM to BW takes a very long time. What can be done? (Performance Issues)
Suggestion 1: Please implement notes 653645 (Collective note) and
639072(Parallel Processing).
The performance could be slow because of the wrong control parameters
used for packaging.
You can change the package size for the data extraction.
Also note that changing the package size in the transaction SBIW
would imply a change for all the extractors. Instead, you could
follow the path in the bw system.
Infopackage (scheduler)    > Menu 'Scheduler'   > 'DataS. default data
transfer'   > maintain the value as 1500 or 1000(This value is variable)
The package size depends on the Resources available at the customer side
(The no of parallel processes that could be assigned =
1.5 times the no of CPU's available approx.)
Question 2 : On executing transaction RSA3 I get records but I find 0
records when I load data from BW request.(No Data Available)
Suggestion 2: First check if there are any entries in the table
CRMD_ORDER_INDEX.Only if there are entries in this table you can
extract records.
If this is not the case then,
It is possible that the user does not have sufficient
authorities for extraction of the relevant objects.

Question 3 : The Deltas for my data source are not extracted . What can I do?
Suggestion 3: Please check the following.
Please Check if the services have been generated in transaction GNRWB.
If they are not active(not marked 'X' before their names) then activate
the services following the steps here.
Go to transaction GNRWB
Select BUS_TRANS_MSG
Select (on the right, the services) : BWA_DELTA3, BWA_FILL, BWA_queue
Press Generate.
Also check for the following:
1. The delta should have been initialized successfully.
2. Confirm that all Bdocs of type BUS_TRANS_MSG
   are processed with success in SMW01.
3. If there are queues in SMQ1 with erroneous status then activate
   these queues.
   In Transaction SMQ1 if there are Queues existing with
   names beginning with CRM_BWAn (n is number) then
   activate these queues in the same transaction.
4.a)If required activate the datasource
    Go to transaction BWA5   > select the required datasource and
    activate.
4 b) The Delta may not be active ,activate the delta in BWA7 by
selecting the name of the datsource and pressing the candle icon for
'activate delta'.
5. In BW system
   Go to transaction RSA1   > modeling   > infosources   > select the
   infosource   > right mouse click on the selected
   infosource   > choose option replicate datasource
    Activate the infosource.
6. Go to the scheduler for the infosource   > select delta in the
    update >choose the option PSA only (in the Processing tab)
    > start immediately
Check the entry in the RSA7 in the OLTP(CRM system)
Question 4: How can I extract the fields, which are not provided in the standard data source extraction .
Suggestion 4: Follow the steps mentioned below.
1. Enhance Extract Structure with the required fields. (Create & include
   an append structure to the extract structure via transaction RSA6).
2.a) Release the fields of the append for usage. ( To do this, double
   click on the Datasource and remove the flags in the column 'Hide
   Field' for all fields of Append. )
2.b)If the new fields cannot be seen in the extract structure of
    the transaction BWA1 then change and save the datasource, and then
    activate it in RSA6.
3. Define your mappings in BADI (CRM_BWA_MFLOW) to fill these fields.
Goto SPRO .
Follow the path ->
SAP Implementation guide ->Implementation with other mySAP components ->
Data transfer to the Business Information Warehouse->
Settings for the application specific datasources (CRM)->

Suggestion 9: In case of attribute datasources, it is possible that the
entry for the GUID is missing in the table SMOXAFLD.
If , for example the datasource 0CRM_OPPT_ATTR is not giving deltas
then you can follow the steps:
1)If Delta process is active for the attribute datasource e.g.
     0CRM_OPPT_ATTR, then stop the delta process in the BW
     system
2) In the CRM system, Make the entry in the table SMOXAFLD
   for the datasource with the Key
   as 0CRM_OPPT_ATTR     GUID 3) Save the entry.Activate the datasource                           4) Check that the above entry is replicated in smoxafld_s also    after this.               5) Create a transport request manually for the following    object             R3TR   SMO4   0CRM_OPPT_ATTR
Question 10: What do the status BWSTONESYS0 , BWSTONEUSS0,BWSTTECSYS0 and various other BW status mean ?
Suggestion 10: The BW status are used to extract system and user defined
status.
The BW status are defined in the customization settings in SPRO.
Check for-> Status Concept for BP/Product/CRM objects
Here goto-> Process user status You will find the documentation attached here for the user status. Going inside the transaction you will find the status groups USS0, ZIOP,ZMOP etc. The names of the various BW status are derived from this For ex. BW + ST+ One + USS0 gives the name of the field BWSTONEUSS0 or BWST + ONE + ZMOP = BWSTONEZMOP (Master opportunity values) (which means BWST + (status group name) + status object group name) Double clicking on any of the object groups will take you to the values that these status can have . For ex. BWSTONEUSS0 in your system can have values E001 ,E002,E003,E007 which will be shown in RSA3 as BW status values 1,2,3,7, respectively.
Similarly we have Goto -> Process system status (in SPRO). Here you can get the values for the system status in exactly the same way as BWSTONESYS0(Lifecycle status) , BWSTTECSYS2 (Error) etc. In RSA3 you get the names as BW status, To know which corresponds to which status here,Gotothe record list in RSA3 . Here goto Settings - Layout -Current . Right click -> Press Show technical field names . You will be able to see the BW status names and will be able to adjust the layout accordingly.

how to identify the key figures which is suitable for numeric pointer. And the generic extraction is based upon the copa table?

Pooja,
If you are using a generic extractor which is based on COPA table, then numeric pointer may not be the suggested delta extraction mechanism.
A time stamp would be the better one to use. In a time stamp, you can give a lower limit value of 300 seconds.. so that it will try to fetch the missed records.
Moreover, a delta would be based on a character, preferably a time char.
In your requirement, try to figure out the character on whichdeltas will be based.

Error in RSA3 for Delta

Hi,
The data load for 0FI_AR_10 (payment history) delta load is fetching zero records after we did EPH4 (Golden Tax) Upgrade to the ECC 6.0 system.
When we check in RSA3 for Delta it is throwing error as -> Message no. RJ012
There is no other info. The data load looks successful in BW but with zero records.
Please suggest.
We are facing some what similar issue for 0CUSTOMER_ATTR as in the Ticket:

Go to RSO2 and give the data source name 0FI_AR_10 -- there you ahve extractor BWFI3D_GET_FIAR_CM_PH(functional module) ---> reset the function and module and reactivate it
mostely the problem will be solved.
incase if it is not solved the reason might be as below
These datasources have extraction type as F1 and the function module used is BWFI3D_GET_FIAR_CM_PH( Tcode: RSA2).
When we go through the code of the Function module, there is a Case statement with update mode which is written in such a way that when the update mode is full it throws one type of error and when the extraction mode is others(which includes init, delta etc) it throws another type of error.
This update mode field in the Function module will take the value when we run the Infopackage and we will get an error saying: 'Update mode when others is not supported by extraction API'(this error occurs as the update mode takes the value of c and executes 'when other' case).
In extractor checker(RSA3), the default value taken by the update mode will be F (since we are not executing any infopackage and the update mode value will be F by default).
So ultimately when that function module is executes it will throw an error no matter what type of load(delta or full) we select.The error will occur but it will be handled differently when you run in RSA3 and when you run the Infopackage.
so i would suggest you to raise a note to SAP on the same
and i will post if I find any solution going in future on the same.

My query is running testing fine in RSECADMIN under some username..but when i try and open it using analyzer (under same username) it gives me error that "specify a value for variable posting period (single value entry, mandatry)" it does'nt even asks to enter variable values and gives this error message.
However the same query appears to be working fine under different username.

Just do one thing compare the Roles of two different users for which Query is getting executed and not.
Check the Object S_RFC.
Compare the Objects detail for Both the Users.

Error while reading UcdContext [trying to read / set application values for users]

I am trying to write a program to store user selected values on NW7.3 Portal using "User Content Directory". I can see and read some code snippets on how to set and read the context but I am getting one error after another.
The error message I am getting is
"com.sapportals.portal.pcd.gl.PcdGlContext:service:[email protected]entClassLoader@84507ed@alive incompatible with interface com.sapportals.portal.pcd.gl.IPcdContext:sap.com/[email protected]der@f46d103@alive ". Code snippet is as given below at the end of the message.
1) I tried different ways to have a lookup and always gave message as "look up not found" and for pcd:portal_content came up with above error.
2) Once I read the UCD context, I would like to store some values based on user selection and store them. User may change the values whenever they like and I will be using the values for other purposes in another application.
3) Has any one successful in setting and reading UCD Context in NW 7.3. Will it be possible to share such sample code as the code snippets at http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73ehp1/helpdata/en/4a/8e1bce28e24dd8abd9f4de05e5587d/content.htm are not much of use unless I am able to read the UCD.

Check the ones highlighted in BOLD and compare them in your code. In your code when ur doing initial lookup you are not using the Correct class type cast for the returned lookup object!
Your code shows as below:

But may be it shd have been something like below:
pcdCtx = (IPcdContext) initialContext.lookup("pcd:portal_content");

NOT Getting Values for LOCATION...on MultiProvider REPORT

I have a MultiProvider on 4 cubes.All these 4 cubes having object LOCATION. I can see data in all cubes for LOCATION. I am running a report on this MultiProvider.
Problem:
I am not getting Values for LOCATION. Why?
What I did:
I checked all location objects of all 4 cubes @ MultiProvider level .
I didn't use any Infoprovider in Qry designer sections.
Please suggest. What is the reason how to solve..

hello,
in the identification tab of the MP,make sure you have checked all four checkboxes across the 4 infoproviders.
then in Listcube T-Code, select your MP,display the records based on selection inputs and see if location is populated.
If the data is not coming in listcube, then it will not come in the Query too.

Can not input data when removed the value for seleciton condition

Dear Experts,
We met a very strange issue for the IP.
We create a aggregation level and relatd query for user to key in data.
We have a filter in the aggregation level.
It will set value for A,B,C,D
When user opent he report, system will require user to key in the value for A,B,C,D.
Now we found that if we key in value for B, cell is input ready.
If we removed the value in for the B in the selection condition (I mean the value of B is empty, this means tha all the value of B will display in the report), we can not key in data.
Could you kindly let me kow the reason?

Many thanks for your information.
I know the principle for the IP.
But I think you may misunderstanding this issue due to my incorrect explaination.
First, we think the aggreagtion level is ok. This is due to that for the B in my example, we set its as column value in the query.
This is means for each record in the IP query, it has only one B value to reflect it.
But strange things is that if we set fixed value for B, IP input is ok.
If we removed fixed value for B, IP function is error.
Now, we will test if we key in multi value for B whether IP input function is ok or not.
Any update, I will inform you.
