In Customer control,I am using the class cl_gui_alv_grid. So i want to save the variant in it.
Plz provide me details.

I tried to save the variant of DEMO_PROGRAM_GET with dynamic selection field (Connection Number) filled. It gets saved without any problem. Just click 'SAVE' and enter the variant name and description.

How to save a variant when running a transaction (PU19)

Hello everyone:
PU19 is the tax reporter transaction but when you run it there is no provision to save a variant. User has to select lot of data onb selection screen and they don't want to do this everytime they run the program and instead save a variant but when you run PU19 there is no provision to save the variant (save button is disabled). User want me to write a program so that they can save a variant that would populate the selection screen parameters when PU19 is called. PU19 is SAP transaction. Any ideas how I can do this?

not sure if this is what you meant.. in VK13 enter the condition for which you want to maintain variant & press
enter.. fill in the Sales Orgn,Distbn Channel & Divion Values.. Use the menu option Edit> save as Variant> enter the variant name & desc and SAVE..

If you are asking about "slection vairants" in SPRO settings of "shipment cost document" then
When it is activated,
each user can have his own slecetion and list criteria for
1. List shippment costs:calculation
2. List shippment costs: settlement
This can be directly saved from VI01 screen by the user.
from environment> lists
This is user specific only.

I am trying to generate an application that saves a copy of its front panel on completion. This is easy to do using an invoke node with Print VI to HTML but this does not work in an .exe format. I have seen elsewhere that you have to use the Get Panel Image method, but no details are supplied in LV 5.0.1 documentation of how to use the "image" data (1-D Unsigned Byte array) that is generated. I want to save this in a format that can then be read as a bitmap in any standard graphics package. Any assistance?

If you'd upgrade to LV5.1 or 6 you could use the 'standard' vi's for this.
You need a VI called "Write BMP File.vi". It's not shipped with LV5.0.1.
This vi only uses 3 subVI's, so perhaps someone at NI can convert it and
send it to you (sorry, I won't, it's copywrited).
If you cannot get this VI anywhere, you'll need to figure out the BMP file
format yourself. It's not too complicated, but still could take some days.
Perhaps someone figured it out before LV5.1 was released.

Variants are stored in table VARI and VARID.
You can use RS_ALL_VARIANTS_4_1_REPORT to get all the variants for a report program.

are You not saving this map in Import Manager ? Import Manager itslef saves the map and remember it . Exporting map is only for backup .

How to save the template with cell locking?

Hi Gurus,
I have successfully locked the cell by using Data validation of Excel function in BPC input schedule. But when I save and reopen it once again the data validation does not work. My target is to distribute the cell locked template to different users thru offline wizard. Can anybody let me know how to save the data validation in the template ?
