IN OPERATOR IN AND CLASS

Hi all,
Please assist me to write the correct query with in operator
and mtl_trn_type.transaction_type_name IN (select case when mtl_trn.organization_id=114 then ( select 'ABC','DEF' FROM DUAL )else 'DEF' end from dual)
It show me error too many values.
Please guide me how can correct this query to avoid this error.

The error "too many values" is caused by retrieving two columns (select 'ABC','DEF') when comparing with just one (mtl_trn_type.transaction_type_name).
I thought of three cases.
Assuming you want to:
if ORGANIZATION_ID = 114
then compare transaction_type_name = ABC
else compare transaction_type_name = DEF
You may use: and mtl_trn_type.transaction_type_name IN case when mtl_trn.organization_id=114 then 'ABC' else 'DEF' end
Assuming you want to:
if ORGANIZATION_ID = 114
then compare transaction_type_name = ABC,DEF
else compare transaction_type_name = DEF
You may use: and mtl_trn_type.transaction_type_name IN case when mtl_trn.organization_id=114 then 'ABC,DEF' else 'DEF' end
Assuming you want to:
if ORGANIZATION_ID = 114
then (
compare transaction_type_name = ABC
or compare transaction_type_name = DEF
else compare transaction_type_name = DEF
You may use: and (
mtl_trn_type.transaction_type_name = 'DEF'
or (
mtl_trn_type.transaction_type_name = 'ABC'
and mtl_trn.organization_id=114
)
