In the download box, the check box for "always do this for this type of file" is grayed out for the type of file I want, and that application does not appear in the application menu, so how do I set it to perform this function every time?
The file type in question is InCopy, and the download box acknowledges that program as the type to open it with, but I never want to open it; I always want to save it. This feature works fine with other file types, but not with InCopy. I download thousands of files, so automating this is very important.

I have a new Mac Mini (2013) and older external hard drive (Lacie) and cd reader/burner (EzQuest). Both have the original Firewire ports and the Mini has the new kind. I bought a cable with both kinds of ends but I plug them in and they don't show on the desktop.
From what I've heard, sometimes certain devices will not have full functionality if they are FireWire 400 with an 800 adapter. Take Apple's original iSight external webcam. It had FireWire 400, and people report using a converter cable will give them video, but not audio.
When I first got my mini, my usb cd burner wasn't recognised by Finder or Disk Utility. After repairing disk permissions and a reboot, it worked fine. -

I tried to uninstall the application but it seems that a kind of deamon is still installed thus providing me to reinstall properly. Do you know where are the elements to remove in order to get my machine just like before ?

If you're running Mountain Lion (10.8.3), reminders is now a separate app. Launch reminders from your applications group and you will be able to access File>New Reminder.

Actually, I just checked my scratch disk available space and it says ot is over 1.7 TB!! I am only using the C drive as my scratch drive, as that is my only drive. Anyway, I appreciate your help! Still will not function properly. Maybe I should try reinstalling Photoshop.

How to get a question in the course placed anywhere in the course and does not appear in the quiz result or total number of questions. Pretest would work except it can't go anywhere in the course (at least for me it can't)
Use a normal question, and do not add the score to the total score. That will give you a correct score at the end. But the total number of questions, that system variable will still take into account all questions. You'll need a user variable, and calculate its value by subtracting 1 from the system variable cpQuizInfoTotalQuestionsPerProject. Same for the progress indicator if you want to show it?

If you want to allow Review, you'll have to tweak as well. You didn't specify the version, and all those questions I now mentioned.
And my approach, since you talk about only one question: create a custom question, because you'll have total control then. -

Been having the same problems all week. And am got a generic, not-at-all-helpful response from my initial inquiry with support, then absolutely no response to my follow-up requests. There seem to be a fair number of people posting this problem, so not sure why we're being ignored.
Was able to eventually download the episodes manually via the 'purchased' link, but it's about 10 more steps than normal.
Also noticed that itunes isn't recognizing my purchases at all, not just season passes. If I go to a page of a show where I buy episodes individually, it doesn't show which episodes I have previously bought like it used to. -
I have Downthemall installed but it does not appear on the Tools dropdown menu. How do I fix this?
Other add-ons, like BetterPrivacy, have been installed and enabled, but do not appear in the Tools drop-down menu either. Uninstalling and reinstalling does not help. I am using version 3.6.13 of Firefox.

That appears to be a hard drive based camecorder. Usually these mount on the desktop of your computer as a little white hard drive icon. If you go inside you should be able to find the movie files the camera is saving. See what format they are (the last 3 letters at the end of the file name is a good place to start).
You can drag the movie files from the camera hard drive to the computer to copy them. Then convert them with a video file conversion program to a format iMovie can understand.
Try converting one of the files using a video file conversion program like Video Monkey: http://videomonkey.org/downloads/
In the "Convert to" drop down menu choose "DV" (Preferred), "Quicktime", or "MP4". Then import the resulting file into iMovie and see if that works any better.

Reset your iPad. Press and hold both the power and home buttons for 10-15 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Release both buttons. Wait 15-20 seconds till you iPad starts on it's own. Now try and download an app.
