When i go to start a new email in yahoo mail the aoutomatic insertion feature that lets me type just a few letters then fills in the rest of the email address do not work in firefox

I have reinstalled Adobe Flash Player many times and also reinstalled Firefox, but flash player does not work. Every tim I try to play something it tells me to install the latest version of flash player. Flash player works fine on on Windows Explorer

IE uses a different version of Flash (ActiveX) than other browsers use, you need to install the Plugin version of Flash.
1.Download the Flash setup file from here:

Save it to your Desktop. 
2. Close Firefox using File > Exit 
then check the Task Manager > Processes tab to make sure '''firefox.exe''' is closed,

Shockwave does not work in firefox but does in ie. it does not show content. worked in version 3 of firefox not in 5.

Do not confuse Shockwave for Director and Shockwave Flash.

the mute button is a switch you need to flip, not touch. if you look at it and see color, its on.

99.9% of the time, the cause of this issue is the fact the phone was jailbroken/hacked to unlock it for use on networks other than the network the phone was originally locked to. Apple maintains a database of officially unlocked iPhones, and when Apple's servers detect phones such as yours, activation stops & you get the message you got.
So, you need to get a sim card from the carrier the phone was originally locked to, or get it officially unlocked, if you want to activate it. Because it appears that it was not officially unlocked.
Apple has started to get "tough" with hacked iPhones, & simply won't permit their activation.

my computer upgraded from 3.6 to 5 and crashed and will not now open any pages with firefox. I have tried to reinstall many times with same result. What is the problem? Try going to the Tools menu item, and choose Options.
In the popup, select the Advanced screen (cog icon) and under that, the Update sub-tab. On that tab, uncheck the various boxes for checking for updates, and see if that helps?

DHCP in Hotel does NOT work on OSX but DOES work in bootcamp

Staying at the shiny new rennisance hotel in boston MA. I have a Macbook Pro and 2 macbooks with me. with the wired ethernet, NONE of them will get an IP address. However, when I use bootcamp and boot into Vista, it works fine!
Any suggestions?

Funny you should ask - I had this same problem last night at the Residence Inn in Washington, DC. Even stranger for me, I found that my MBP could not obtain an IP, but when I ran Parallels, the Windows XP instance could connect. As Parallels was getting its network connection from the Mac OS, I still haven't figured how that was possible...
Regardless, is the hotel using iBahn? If so, I spent some time with the iBahn tech rep and was able to come up with a solution by setting all the network properties manually. Every time I renewed my DHCP lease, I would obtain an IP address (10.x.x.x) and hold it for about 2 seconds before it would disappear. By watching what IP address I was given, I was able to set up my Network Properties manually:
System Preferences -> Network -> Ethernet
Configure: Manually
IP Address: 10.x.x.x (whatever the DHCP server tries to give you)
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Router: 10.x.x.1 (where the first two x's are the same as your IP)
DNS Server: 172.16.2.5, 4.2.2.2
You might try calling iBahn if you need help with this. They can watch your network port (by telling them the hotel's phone number and your room number) and tell you what IP address the DHCP server is assigning to it.

Updated my connection to Fibre so have new super router (still ADSL I think). Now my Internet access - no problem with all my other sites. Shoutcast displays OK but no sound, analyzer shows flat line. No other changes have been done on computer. What can be the problem?

Kensington mouse scroll will not work in firefox but does in other apps

In all other application my scroll works fine, but in Firefox it will not work. I have tried switching the settings and still got nothing. I also check for driver updates on the mouse driver but they are up to date.
