  • Dynamic graphics in Smart Forms

    Dear All:
I have a requirement in my SMARTFORM page development that i have to place a dynamic graphics and printout.
Does anyone know how to control the dynamic graphics in Smart Forms?
Any help whould be highly appreciated.
    Many thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Elvis

    Hello,
You can call the graphic dynamically as per your requirement by calling the Graphic dynamically, For ex: Name of the graphic: &WA_ITAB-FIELD1& ( which is a field of IntTab ITAB taken into Work area WA_ITAB ).
Also please note that you cannot print / overlay text in a diamond, perhaps you can have a work around to print the graphic and beside the graphic you print the Customer short name. for this you can either define a table / template.
    Hope this helps you.

  • Print Charts/Graphs on Smart Forms

    Hi Seniors,
Here is a requirement on Smart Forms:
I need to print Charts on Smart Forms. I have been through many answers on SDN but unfortunately, there are not many appropriate solutions. I executed some standard reports and got Charts and graphs as output but am not able to use it to display the same on Smart Forms. I have even  tried using classes for charts / graphs, business graphics(may be there would have been some sequential procedure for that).
In the Smart Form, I have tried Form Attributes>Output Options>Output Format--> XSF output
with output mode: 'Spool' and Output Device: 'XSFOUTDEV' from help.sap(I couldn't get what output device that was and was unable to execute).
I have tried executing transaction GRAL(demo reports for SAP graphics) too.
I found a report that would produce graph in Excel, I executed it, saved the graph from excel in '.bmp' format in SE78 and then printed it on Smart Form. But all I want is to have it done dynamically.
I saw answers that we can save the graph chart/graph onto the desktop, upload it and then display it on the Smart Forms. But, when i tried it, I saw that it could be saved only in '.dat' format. I have to save it dynamically in a supported format like '.bmp' and print it on the Smart Forms(the graph would change depending upon the input values). Please help me resolve this.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Chaitanya.

    Dear Bouman,
Thank you for the reply. I can write a report if would helps me to upload images dynamically. I saw your program but, here we cant give the name of the chart that comes as output. I tried to save the chart but it comes in '.dat' format but not in '.bmp' format. We may be having some classes or function modules that we need to call in a particular sequence. What other options do we have. Please help me resolve this.

  • I am wanting to add an interactive pie chart to a custom form

The pie chart or "wheel" is a visual for my project status form I want to share with clients. Can this be done? I only see an option to insert an image.
    thanks

Currently we only support one field/item on a line. We are working on adding a feature that allows you to put multiple fields/items on a single line. We hope to have that out in a few months.

  • Possible to generate graphics within smart forms dynamically like SVG ?

    Hello,
I would like to generate a graphic for a smart form. This graphic will only be needed in the smart form. Therefore my question:
It is <b>possible to generate dynamically graphics using ABAP</b> as programming language? In the same line like SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) or ChartDirector? I know it works in many other programming languages.
Smart forms can handle *.bmp and *.tif picutres. Therefore the output of this ABAP program should be a picutre within the format *.bmp and *.tif.
    Daniel

    Welcome to SDN,
I am not sure whether you can use SVG in smart form, but certainly in ABAP yes. check out the following atricle for more info.

  • Dynamic graph in Smart Forms

    Hi
I have searched the forums and noticed this question has been put forward many times but without a complete solution.
I have so far managed to use the IGS to create a .JPG/PNG file for me. I seem to have an error while trying to create a BMP file, basis is currently looking into this for me, i get a LISTENERRFC : error.
    I'm using class : cl_igs_chart_engine
to generate a chart from the IGS, this is returned to me in a MIME table format.
Now how can I use this MIME table to insert it dynamically in the SMARTFORM. I see there is provision for Dynamic determined graphics in smart forms but i don't think it can be used here.
Does anyone know how to do this ? Is there any other more effective way of inserting dynamic graphs into SAMRTFORMS
Another question is class : cl_igs_chart_engine, how can you create a line graph instead of a bar graph ?
    Thanks

    Hi Kevin,
Dynamic graphic in samrtform is supported provided you have the BMAP ( Bitmap ) created in SAP. In the graphics node of SMARTFORM you can assign a variable &GRAPHIC& as the name. From the program pass the graphic name in variable "GRAPHIC" through samrtform interface .
The prerequisite is that the graphics should be there in SAP database at the time you call smartform .
About your other question I have no idea but I can say that if you can have a graphics created on your PC at runtime you can always upload it to SAP using report RSTXLDMC , just before calling smartform. However this would generate a lot of graphics on SAP even if it is for one time use by smartform . You will have to find a way to delete subsequently .
    Cheers

  • Business Graphics in Adobe Form

    Hi Gurus,
One of our client has requirement of showing business graphics like Graphs, pie charts on the Adobe form. Is it possible in Adobe forms to show these graphics. If yes, then can anyone please send me some links, documents.
    With Regards,
    Amit

    Amit,
I don't think Adobe forms has the capability to display the Business graphics. I don't see any control for displaying the business graphics in library palette.
    Thanks!
    Surya.

  • Pdf generated through API's does not display pie chart

I'm using BIP 10.1.3.4, running on Oracle Linux 5 connecting to a 11g database.
I developed an RTF using the word template builder and included a pie chart. Previewing from within Word works fine, running the report directly from BIP works fine. I then used the API's to generate the pdf programmatically to have more control.
I use RTFProcessor to convert my RTF into a XSL, DataProcessor to generate the xml data and FOProcessor to generate the final PDF. This works fine running from local JDeveloper, connecting through to the remote database.
I've now loaded the java class with the API's into the database, and as per http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12844_01/doc/bip.1013/e12188/T421739T517850.htm#T520954, loaded up the following jar's
xdocore.jar - the core BI Publisher library
aolj.jar - although this is an Oracle E-Business Suite library, it is required for standalone implementations as well
i18nAPI_v3.jar - the i18n library used for localization functions
xdoparser.jar - the scalable XML parser and XSLT 2.0 engine
    xmlparserv2-904.jar - the main XML parser/XSLT engine
    bipres.jar - a charting library
    bicmn.jar - a charting library
    jewt4.jar - a charting support library
    share.jar - a charting support library
collections.jar - you only need this if you are working with the delivery APIs or bursting engine.
The report works fine, all data tabels are shown but the pie chart is missing. I originally got the jar files from the TemplateBuilder/jlib directory. I also tried using the jar files from the BIP/xmlpserver\WEB-INF\lib directory as well. Problem remains - everything works fine except for the lack of the pie chart !
Any help would be greatly appreciated :)
    Cheers,
    Brent

  • Pie chart multiple levels

    Hello,
I'm looking for software to create pie charts with multiple levels. I tried Numbers but it didn't work out. Does anyone has tips for Numbers or other software that I can use? Thanks in advance.
    Greetings,

I also don't have many experiences in this kind of thing. However, I recently happened to read something about WinForms chart UI control which include the pie chart creating function. Not sure that kind of thing would be helpful or not.
