Inconsistent input parameter (Parameter: i_sid, value 0)

Hi BI experts,
I have a question. When I load my data from a DSO to a infocube it loads succesvol. But when i try to look at the data in the infocube I get the error "Inconsistent input parameter (Parameter: i_sid, value 0). Does someone know the solution to this problem.

this simple code solved the problem.
REPORT Z_TEST.
data wa_/BI0/SREQUID type /BI0/SREQUID.
wa_/BI0/SREQUID-requid = 0.
wa_/BI0/SREQUID-sid = 0.
INSERT INTO /BI0/SREQUID VALUES wa_/BI0/SREQUID.

(I know, the answer is a year late, but at least it will be documented for the future: i've recently had the same error in my system)
I have debugged the problem and found that the exception happens somewhere after Include LRSDRC_INFOCUBEF06, form BASIC_QUERY_DATA_GET_ROLAP and PERFORM check_for_request0.
You can also get this error if you execute the transaction LISTCUBE for the Infocube, or if you click on "display data" in the context menu of an InfoCube in RSA1.
The reason for the problem seems to be the missing "initial" record in the InfoObject "REQUID".
This InfoObject tracks all the requests/data packages in your BW system, and usually has the similar contents:
select * from /BI0/SREQUID
REQUID                                            SID         CHCKFL DATAFL INCFL
                                                                0          X     X     X
REQU_4D9N9016ZEBZXYL3FKRS5Z5BK    8

However, if the initial record with SID = 0 is missing, you may get the described error.
The problem can be fixed by adding this record to two tables:
(example for adding this record from the DB2 SQL interpreter; syntax may be slightly different with other DB platform)
insert into "/BI0/SREQUID" values ('',0,'X','X','X')
insert into "/BI0/RREQUID" values (0,'')
(NOTE: the '' are two single quotes without any value between them, and not the double quote mark )

I am seeing the following error when trying to use the "Display Data" menu option on an Infocube: "Inconsistent input parameter (parameter: i_sid, value 0)".
I have created about the simplest Infocube that I know of to try to resolve this, with OCalDay in the Time dimension, a simple custom SKU Characteristic in Dimension 1, and only one Key Figure. I have loaded only one record into the InfoCube, and the corresponding SKU and 0CalDay objects are populated with data (and it appears to hold referential integrity.
I do not have anything within the Unit dimension. Do I need something? What can I put in as a dummy?
But if Unit is not a problem, any other ideas why I am seeing this error?

Hi,
During the creation of keyfigure, did you mention anything under Currency/Unit of Measure. If you have mentioned any fixed currency there, then while creating transformation in Rule details of that keyfigure, under Currency, you mentiond fixed currency and No Conversion.
This should solve the issue.

Error while trying to choose query parameter Inconsistent input paramete

I got error on PRD while trying to choose parameter before executing BEX query:
101 Inconsistent input parameter (parameter: <unknown>, value <unknown>)
100 Program error in class SAPMSYY1 method: UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION
Notes:
the same functionality works fine in DEV environment.
the other parameters on query in PRD work fine
the parameter with error based on custom hierarchy
P.S. I heart BEx :]

How to include input user parameter values in XML report output?

How can i include input user parameter values in XML report output. I a have a report which can be run by providing start date and end date. I would like to include value of these parameters in XML output to enable me to figure out dates for report, just by looking at XML output.

I think all the XML attributes can contain lexicals. If you bring up the property palette against the report object you can just set the following:
XML Tag Attributes: myParameter="&<P_1>"
where P_1 is your user parameter.

Unable To Pass Input Page Parameter Using PageDef File.

I am currently exploring task flows as I dont have that much knowledge in it.
Here's my use case
1. I setup a taskflow which has a Method Call and a View Activity in it.
2. The method call is a default activity which just calls a web service.
3. After execution, I just wanted to display the result of the method.
I used input page parameters to pass data between the method call and the view activity.
     (I passed the data by accessing the pagedef file directly. I know I can do it using pageflowscope..but this is

Help with Input/Output Parameter Size using OLE DB Provider

I am using the OLE DB Provider for 9i in an Active Server Page to call a stored procedure in a 9i database. I pass have an input/output parameter (adVarChar with adSize=30) in which I pass a two digit number in, and expect to get a character value greater than 2 characters in return. However, when I execute the stored procedure call, it appears the value being returned in the parameter is being truncated to the size of the value I passed in (2 characters). Is there a way I can insure the parameter will return the entire length of the result regardless of the length of the input value?

But OracleParameter class does not have any such constructor. Therefore, your test tries to use another constructor incorrectly.
OracleParameter has two constructors with four parameter ...
public OracleParameter(string parameterName, OracleDbType type, object obj, ParameterDirection direction)
public OracleParameter(string parameterName, OracleDbType type, int size, string srcColumn)
... and none of these matches your constructor. One way to solve this problem is to use appropriate constructor or OracleParameter properties.

I am attempting to set report parameters in my .jsp code via URL parameters.
I am able to set the report name, server connection dynamically however when attempting to set the Parameters I receive:
com.crystaldecisions.sdk.occa.report.lib.ReportSDKParameterFieldException: The types of the parameter field and parameter field current values are not compatible.---- Error code:-2147213303 Error code name:invalidParameterField
The parameter on the report is a String Type, named for this example p1.
The value that p1 represents is LERAD
My code:

CRJavaHelper.addDiscreteParameterValue( clientDoc, "","p1", stringvalue);
returns the above mentioned error.
I have tried:
String stringValue = (String)request.getParameter("p1");
which returns the above error
And;

I have tried the same query and it works properly here.
I have submitted "Purge Signon Audit data" concurrent program with "Audit Date" parameter set to 01-06-2009, and here is the query output:

Manually input ( or type ) the value of the node in hierarchy

Dear all,
I have the following requirement :
In the query, I am using a hierarchy node variable. Now, by default, on the selection screen the valued can be passed to this hierarchy node var. by a drill down on the hierarchy on which the variable is created and selecting one of the nodes.
Now, I would like to manually input ( or type ) the value of the node instead of performing the drilldown on the hierarchy and selecting the node..
It is this possible for a hierarchy node variable ?

You create a Variable with following selections
Type of variable : Hierarchy node
processing : Manual Input/Default value
Reference Char : Mention the CHAR that contain this hierarchy
Define it as SIngle value & Mandatory entry.user can see all the nodes in F4 help and selects the node as he wants

To read the 'Input help with fixed values' of domain , you can use the function module : HR_P_GET_FIXED_VALUE_TEXT.
iIf you enter the domain name, you will find the fixed values entered in the domain.
These values are stored in a table DD07L(DD zero 7 L). Here the values are stored based on domain name.
See if it works for you.

Input parameter with default value, in OWB 10r2

-I have a flow that load data from a determinate date, that date is a parameter. This flow is controled to be execute diary by a database job, And takes the parameter as sysdate.
But I want that a user can set an determined date as input and override the default. (sysdate)
I created a parameter in the START element , and set
value as: TO_CHAR(sysdate,'dd-mm-yyyy'))
The problem is that when the job execute the flow, an oracle error appear:
ORA-01858: a non-numeric character was found where a numeric was expected ORA-02063: preceding line from FAMISANA@SOU_SEI_LOCATION1
When I execute the flow and set a parameter input any date (21/07/2001) , thats works.
So, how can I set the input parameter for have default a sysdate ?

I need some help on an issue I am running into in SQL server 2008 report parameters. I have the following Report Parameters defined:
1) @PredefinedDateSelection - Boolean (User Selectable True/False, Default Value - 'False')
2) @StartDate - Text (User input text box)
If @PredefinedDateSelection = TRUE, then I would like to provide a particular default value to the StartDate textbox (i.e. @StartDate Default Value), If @PredefinedDateSelection = FALSE, then I would like to provide a different default value.
I have the following code for the Expression for the Default value of @StartDate: =code.GetStartDate(Parameters!PreDefinedTimeSelection.Value)
where GetStartDate is a very simple VB function defined as :

a = "Report Uses Predefined Values"

Now the default value of @StartDate stays set as "Please Input Value", and does not change when I toggle @PredefinedDateSelection from False to True and vice versa. I was expecting to see the Default value to change between the two messages depending on my selection in the report preview.
Another parameter which is a dropdown and uses a dataset to display two different set of selectable items depending on the value of @PredefinedDateSelection is working just fine. I am not sure if I am missing something or I am doing something wrong.
Instead of using the VB code I also tried : =iif(Parameters!PreDefinedTimeSelection.Value = True,"Report Uses Predefined Values","Please Input Value")
I also tried changing the default value using a dataset with SQL query and the available value set to NONE, so that the user could input. But the Default value does not refresh or change values.
I hope I have explained my question clearly. I would really appreciate any thoughts and comments.

Thank you much for your response.
I tried that and it did work. But my requirement is to have a user input the date. The basic idea is if the user decides on a predefined time range like Day Shift Today or Yesterday and so on... then the report would automatically calculate the values based on predefined date time values. On the other hand, if the intent is to run the report for an arbitrary period then the user supplies the date and time limits.
What I am trying to achieve is have the same parameter available for user input , but when the User decides he wants Predefined then the "textbox" populates with date and time as per his choice of predefind range.
I understand that by this the user can still overwrite the date and time on the text box, but the report will run the predefined values as long as he has the @PredefinedDateSelection Set to true.
Is there a way I can impement this?
