Inconsistent Product Images

I use Yahoo Stores and Dreamweaver 8. I have created 177
products at Yahoo and began making product pages with Dreamweaver.
My images are consistent as are my thumbnails. I have triple
checked the images as the same size for regular and thumbnail.
Suddenly my images are loading so they take up the whole page
as I created new pages. I use code from Yahoo, which is a table,
the only thing that changes is the "item ID." Yahoo won't help or
suggest a problem on their end.
I can't find anything out of the ordinary that may have
caused the images to display "full screen." All items at my site
are correct, I haven't uploaded the oversized image pages.
Any help or suggestion would be welcome. Thanks!

I uploaded the page as a test and it appears fine in my
browser. The code validates ok.
The picture is appearing very large only on the "design"
mode. The code is showing a width of 350 on images that look normal
in design and the pictures that are not. I am only changing the
item ID provided by Yahoo. Maybe there is a problem at yahoo but I
won't get an answer there.
I will attach code for the good image and bad with the
understanding the final browser page is fine.

In BC, how can I remove the large space above the product images?

Hi, I'm having a problem with the product pages in Business Catalyst. There is a large space that appears between the breadcrumb trail and the first row of product images (small product page) and between the breadcrumb trail and the information on the large product page.
I have run through the stylesheets (base.css, layout.css, and ModuleStyleSheets.css) and changed numbers for anything that looked like it might control that space. I adjusted the css in my files too. Absolutely nothing made any difference.
And even worse, a scroll bar apears on the right side of the div. The div is set to auto height and grows to accept anything put in it. If I remove all the images, the scroll bar goes away, but if I only remove the breadcrumb, the scroll bar stays. Because of this, I suspect there is a margin setting on the div that holds the images that is forcing the page length beyond what the div sees. But can I find it? No.
I find nothing in the Overall Layout Shop Module Template:

(I could find no class for shop-main in any stylesheet. Changing any header class had no effect.)

No big space! No scrollbar.
It's that product table, gotta be. Can anyone tell me which css style to change to get rid of the large top margin and that hideous scroll bar? Or should I write a new one? To which section do I apply it?

Thank you so much for answering. This big space is the last problem and I can't seem to find the code to fix it.

Right now, the Harry Potter store is the best one to view. I haven't hooked up the others.
If you can find the problem, I'd be very happy. I have commented a lot of the ModuleStyle css because I kept reinserting changes to the same code and that's how I stopped myself. I've taken out some of the comments, but the code is still festooned with them.

Problem with a product image/pdf production in Indesign CS5

Hi,
this problem probably has an obvious solution, but I can't figure it out due to my limited experience in using Indesign. I'm trying to export my poster lay-out as pdf, but one of the several product images does not show up in the exporte pdf correctly. Instead of a product image, I only get this white image that is similar to the shape of the product image, but the actual product image is not visible. The product image is a .psd -file and it shows correctly in InDesign document, but not in the exported .pdf file. Could somebody help me to tackle this problem?

- It shows in the preview mode
- I'm using only one layer in the layout with all the images on it
- The image is not non-printing in the Attributes panel
- Links have no errors and theya re up to date
When I create the PDF via FILE > PRINT, then the problem does not occur, but I have another problem with white margins on both top and bottom of the .pdf-file. ¨
I still would like to create the pdf via Export.

Poplet Image on Small Product image

Hello. I wanted to ask if it's possible to have a poplet function on a small product image like the poplets on the large product info. My client's has images of furniture that i had to make small. It would be benefical that the small images would be bigger for the customers to have a closer look without going to a different page.

Create a div with class "poplets" where you want to display the images e.g.

Then add this to the bottom of the layout:

Note that this will also pull in the lightbox javascript calls, so you need to add the lightbox javascript file to the template around the small layout. You can copy this file from the source of the large layout when looking at it from the frontend.
You can also extract the image urls only and then wrap this in a different type of image effect. You don't necessarily have to use lightbox.

Thanks for your input however, what I don't understand is that some of the product images do appear on the site but not all images? The first 10 product pics appear but then, it's just the product descriptions after that with no images? I find it strange that it used to work on this particular site (mainly Gap and Old Navy) and now it doesn't? I do a lot of online shopping there so it's unfortunate. I contacted their online support and they said to download the Opera Mini App but that didn't work...I see even less images? If I visit the site on my Ipod Touch or my Macbook, I see all images, no problem? Not sure what the problem is?

How can I display a complete category on my sites home page with product images?

I have a site which I am tryingt o make as user friendly as possible for the customer and want to display products on the home page of the website which are all located within one category. Essentially I want to display the products with image, price and buy now buttons as they are displayed within a normal category but on the home page of the site.

I'm sorry, but I'm not sure that I understand your question correctly. I understand that you want to keep Gmail as your homepage, but I am not sure what you mean by setting Firefox as your server.
Are you trying to access the Firefox "start page"? If so, you can do by opening a new tab, and typing '''about:home''' on the address bar, and pressing '''Enter'''.
Please let us know if this solves your issue, or if you have any other questions.
If this is not what you're trying to accomplish, can you please provide a link to the tutorial that you mentioned, as well as what subsection of the tutorial you are referring to, and we'll be able to help you.

Related product images too large

When I add relatedproducts data tag to the product large module or productlarge.htm, the heading and images for the related products are way too large. I need to know exactly where and what code I need to change to edit their size. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks. example: 1932 Ford Car billet aluminum dash insert w/ Auto Meter Arctic White gauges

Dude, Get yourself Firebug for starters then you can see exactly what code you need to change.
Its the css, currently all your big text is h3 in the div class "title". You could target this and change the font size or use other tags in the template

How do I remove random pixels around a product image on a white background? They only show up after I save an image.

I am taking photos for my website selling jewelry, and I use the magic wand tool and the paint bucket to remove the background. But when I save it, there will be shaded pixels around my product in the white background area that are only shown after my image is saved. Does it have to do with saving it as JPEG? Do I need to save it as something else?

No I don't use layers. I'm very new to using photoshop. It happens in other editors like microsoft paint. even if I use the eraser tool to remove the pixels in the white background around the the product, they show up after I save it as JPEG. I would just like to know what causes it and how to change it.

CRM Catalog in webshop : link between product image and replicated image

I have successfully published a catalog in CRM E-Commerce, but I have to develop other BSPs in order to manage new functionnality. These BSP must keed based upon standard CRM catalog.
I am unable to find the link between the product GUID (in the catalog) and its published GUID (which is used by TREX to retrieve image URL in E-Commerce)
I have been looking in many many CRM tables but unsuccessfully.
Any clue ?

The Jobs do not even complete and there are no logs yet for the replication. In fact the job continues to be active (we had even tried waiting for one full day) and would never complete. Meanwhile the webshop hangs (i.e we cannot get into sold to party area) and we have no choice but to kill the job, restart TREX so that the webshop starts working again.
However, there were few logs in the system on the previous days (when the job did complete) just before the issues started occurring.. There were indeed some REDs in that.. Pasting here...

So, we checked the RFC connections etc..and they all look very good and stable...In fact, in the next runs, we monitored the RFC connections continously and they were good... But strangely, after these runs, for the last 7 days or so, the job just would not complete, do not create any logs as above and makes the webshop hang.

Color inconsistency importing images into flash cs6 - cs4

After much experimenting I can't seem to solve this issue - imported images get tinted in an undesirable/inconsistent way when imported and published within flash.
images look consistent traveling between photoshop / image preview / illustrator / etc.
they also look fine on co-workers versions of flash -

Product image/color swap?

I'm getting ready to start working on a flash project that I
would like to work just like
this.
However, I would be using dog collars. I'm having a lot of
difficulty finding a tutorial that shows how to go about changing
the color of the product when you click on the squares. Ideally,
I'd like a link to such a tutorial if one exists.
Could someone tell me how this is being done these days? I
know the long way would be making a button for each color and have
an image for each color. I think that there is an easier and more
flexible way of doing it, but just don't know where to find it.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

and I'm hoping to get some help with the actionscript. I found a

that was pretty close to what I was looking for.
I altered the files that they have to use my images. Here are
my
files. So I have
the transitions working for colors. Just as a test I tried to
duplicate their example by applying it to my images. That much
worked, but I wanted to try adding a second set of buttons that
will eventually change the pattern, but right now I'm just using a
second set of collars which represent "patterns". I'm not having
any luck getting them both to function together though. As I said
colors work, but when I try to change the other buttons they don't
work. When I click the pattern buttons, it also reverts the color
of the main image in the colors section back to neutral.
Could someone look over the code and see if they can give me
some insight as to what is wrong? Thanks!

Help converting raster product image to vector

I have an image of one of our products that I need to convert to a vector image for the use in a video. I'm not too skilled in IA and everytime I try to use Live Trace (w/ various settings) the results are not ideal. I've included a jpeg of the product. I have a hi-res raw file to work with. Can anyone provide me with advice on the best way to go about converting the image to vector? Thank you in advance!

Sounds like a poorly defined project then. You need to nail down the client's requirements and expectations.
If the requirements are simply for a scaleable 2D drawing, then a number of rendering methods will work. But if the animation envisioned calls for the cylindrical object to rotate (about any axis other than the line of sight), then doing that kind of frame-by-frame artwork in Illustrator will be inefficiently tedious.
Illustrator's 3D Effect can extrude the semicircle or split circle section. And creating a Blend between two copies of a 3D Effect object with different orientations can achieve the series of frame-by-frame images. But it cannot do the notch as one extruded object. Nor can it extrude two separate paths in the same 3D coordinate system at different positions along the extrusion axis. Nor can it revolve two paths at different degrees in the same 3D space. Plus, its rendering of reflective metalic surfaces is not as versatile as would be required, so you'd have to resort to artwork maping, which would not likely be very convincing on a rotating object.
So if the tube-like object is to spin, Illustrator is a poor choice of a program to use for it.

Unable add product image in BCC

Hi all,
I tried the following steps to add image to the product in BCC,
1. Created Media Folder
2. Choosen "media-external", filled the form with the below details,
Name: Image.jpeg
Choosen the parent folder
URL: D:\Image.jpg
3. Deployed the project successfully.
4. Later I added this media item to my product and deployed again.
Finally in image preview box "Unable to display Image.jpeg" is displaying.
I didn't find any errors in log while deploying. Please help me to resolve this issue.

IPhone/iPad product image for app Screenshot

I am looking for an approved image of the actual iPhone and iPad that apple wont reject for the app store screenshot. I have seen it used a bunch and I am not sure if there is a stock image I can use to mock up my screenshots or if all these people shoot their own? I found this Apple site but the legal requirements say that the images cannot be edited in anyway, which means you can put your own screenshot on the screen and for me I need to add a hand over the screenshot as well so bad news.
