Incorrect aggregation in parent after deleting data in any child member

Hi Experts,
Currently we are facing a problem in which data are aggregating at parent level properly except in cases where data were already present and subsequently has been deleted. For example if '1000' has been entered in a child level member, it is properly shown in its parent. But, when this figure is deleted, the parent level member is not updated. If '1000' is replaced by any other figure, it is properly being updated in the parent.
The dimension members in which data are being entered have 'Store' property and we are using AGG business rule to accumulate data in parent level.
The above issue is appearing in all months except February. I have checked settings of the dimension member 'February' and it matches with the settings of all other months.
Kindly guide me in this regard as to why this issue is coming and its possible solution.
Thanks in advance!

Not very clear from description but,
Along with Aggregate missing off, Turn off the intelligent calculations as well:

Is it a single child of the parent, the only child which aggregates to parent,
Are you entering data though data form, is the base member and shared member both are present in data form in rows?

    is there any process to retrieve DELETED DATA in any stage either PO,GR,IR >????

    It is normally quite difficult to physically "delete" PO, GR and IR. GR and IR are canceled, which means both the original document and the cancellation document can be found in the system.
    PO's get the deletion flag on the items (the trash bin) and also can still be seen in the system.
    Physical deletion of objects from SAP can only be achieved by "archiving". If archiving has been set up properly, you can later view the archived objects. If not, they are gone.

  • How to reduce table size after deleting data in table

    In one of the environment, we have 300 GB tabe which contains 50 columns. some of the columns are large object columns. This table contains data for the past one year and every month it is growing by 40 gb data. Due to this we have space issues. we would like to reduce the table size by keeping only recent two months data. What are the posiible ways to reduce the table size by keeping only 2 months data. Database version 10.2.04 on rhel 4.

    Technically a simple strategy to "delete all data more than 64 days old" could be perfect - once you've got your table (and lob segments) down to the correct size for two months of data. If you've got the licencing and can use local indexing it might be even better to use (for example) daily partitioning by date.
    To GET to the 2-month data set you need to do something big and nasty - this will probably give you the choice between blocking access for a while and getting the job done relatively quickly (e.g. CTAS) or leaving the system run slowly for a relatively long time while generating huge amounts of redo. (e.g. delete 10 months of data, then shrink / compact). You also have a choice between using NO extra space to get the job done (shrink/compact) or doing something which effectively copies the last two months of data.
    Think about the side effects you're prepared to run with, then we can tell you which options might be most appropriate.

  • Parent class private data accessable in Child class?

    Hi!
    I thought that this would be obvious, but my search foo fails me.  Hopefully someone would be kind enough to answer my newbie LVOOP question.
    I have a a parrent class.  This parrent class contains a cluster of class private data.  I setup all the accessor methods to this data.  I create a child class that has functions that need to access data stored in its parrent class.  Its inheritence is set, but when I try to unbundle the class data all I can seem to get to is what is setup in the child class' data cluster.
    I've watched a video and it looked like the data cluster magically appeared and was accessable through the children methods.  What am I missing?
    Thanks for input!

    Well, that makes sense.
    One other quick question.  Is the procedure, New->"VI for Override..." from the context menu of my child class the only way to create a method that overrides the parents method?  Where is the property that defines this newly created VI as overriding my parent's VI?  Can I simply create a VI that is named the same and it have the same effect?
    That is the only method I use but I believe if you get all of your icon patterns and terminal marking as dynamic and all of the other rules, you should be able to do the same thing by hand (I base this guess on the fact I messed with those things and broke my ever-rides).
    The only thing I think has to be done from the project (scripting aside) is to set-up the inheritance.

  • Process Chain running even after end date

    Hi,
    We are scheduling month end PC to run every 2 hours and also we have given end date for today evening.but process chain runs even after end date for every 2 hours.so we have to manually remove it from scheduling.
    Any method how can PC stop on its own after end date .
    Any help highly APPRECIATED
    Thanks
    Nilesh Pathak

    There might be multiple release jobs for thie process chain.
    So check the same. Right click on process chain --> Display scheduled jobs --> Here all the jobs logs of the chain will be available.. So check the same here...
    As you have descheduled it now.. probably you may not be having it as the first release job might be moved to Schedule status as soon as the END date has reached and then second one might have gone when you have removed the chain from Schduling..
    Anyway check the same.. and also check in SM37 whether any other user has triggered it manually today or not?

  • Data Error in the Query/Report after selective data deletion for infocube

    Hi Experts,
    Please advise what i was missing and what went wrong...
    I got a Query (Forecast) on a Multicube...which is based on 2 Infocubes with Aggregates...
    As i identified some data discrepency..yesteraday i performed selective data deleation on one of the Infocube
    and executed report yesteraday and the results in the query are correct...
    When today i executed the same report i am getting different results..
    When i compared the results of the report with that of data in cube they are not matching
    The report is not displaying the data in cube..for some rows it is displaying the data in the cube but for some rows it is just displaying same as the above row
    there is no data loaded into info cube after selective deleation
    Do i need to perform request compression and fill the aggregated after selective deleation
    Please advise what went wrong

    Hi Venkat,
    No i haven't done anything on aggregates before or after selective delete
    As there is not data load after the selective delete according to SAP Manual we don't need to perform any thing on aggregates...as selective data deletion on cube will delete data from aggregates as well
    Please update how to identify error

  • ADF Tree setting focus back to parent node after deletion of child node

    Hi,
    Is there a way to get the focus back to the parent node (or rather any particular node) in a tree?
    I have a use case where we need to get the focus back to the parent node after a child node is deleted.
    Currently the focus is shifted to the next node in the tree, but the need is to get the focus shifted back to the parent node. Also the parent node should be re-invoked to populate to get the latest status after deletion of the child node.
    Any help/pointers?
    Thanks

    Thanks for the reply Frank.
    I saw the link http://sreevardhanadf.blogspot.in/2012/07/showing-next-row-as-current-row-after.html
    However the issue is since I am using custom created tree using POJO tree item (composite object).
    calling myTree.getWrappedData() doesn't gives me a handle to JUCtrlHierBinding and subsequent access to JUCtrlHierNodeBinding.
    my program gives me data like -
    List<MyTreeItem> treeData = (List<MyTreeItem>)treeModel.getWrappedData();
    because my tree model is build using -
    treeModel = new ChildPropertyTreeModel(items, "children");
    where items is List of <MyTreeItem>
    Hence I am unable to get a handle using -
    List nodeParentList = nodeParent .getKeyPath();
    I am programmatically able to invoke the parent node to get the fresh data, only issue is the focus/selection of that node is not happening
    Is there a way around?
    Thanks

  • TABLESPACE cleanup not happening after table data delete

    Hi all
    I have a partitioned table with 4 partitions all residing in a single tablespace. I populated the table with sample data and then deleted all with a simple delete statement followed by a commit. But the tablespace is still showing data from the 4 partitions under the bytes column in query below:
    select segment_name, partition_name, tablespace_name, bytes
    from dba_segments
    where tablespace_name='tb_name'
    Am I missing something here? Do I need to run some other command after delete and commit to fully flush out the data?
    FYI, my system specs are:
    Windows 2008 Server Standard (32-bit)
    ORACLE 11.1.0.7.0

    HI,
    LMT is Locally Managed Tablespace.
    +Moreover, when you say the blocks will not be available immediately when do you reckon they will be available? How do I go about automating this to free up space as soon as data is deleted?+
    You cannot automate this job, this is already automated by Oracle.
    +FYI, both pct_free and pct_used come up as empty values for my table.+
    reason for a NULL-value for PCT_USED is that the tablespace where the table resides uses automatic segments space management (ASSM). With ASSM there is no need for PCT_USED only for PCT_FREE. Oracle manages blocks automatically.
    You dont worry about releasing the space, Oracle will take care of it automatically.

    This is an extract form Oracle docs
    Understanding Reclaimable Unused Space
    Over time, updates and deletes on objects within a tablespace can create pockets of empty space that individually are not large enough to be reused for new data. This type of empty space is referred to as fragmented free space.
    Objects with fragmented free space can result in much wasted space, and can impact database performance. The preferred way to defragment and reclaim this space is to perform an online segment shrink. This process consolidates fragmented free space below the high water mark and compacts the segment. After compaction, the high water mark is moved, resulting in new free space above the high water mark. That space above the high water mark is then deallocated. The segment remains available for queries and DML during most of the operation, and no extra disk space need be allocated.
    You use the Segment Advisor to identify segments that would benefit from online segment shrink. Only segments in locally managed tablespaces with automatic segment space management (ASSM) are eligible. Other restrictions on segment type exist. For more information, see "Shrinking Database Segments Online".
    If a table with reclaimable space is not eligible for online segment shrink, or if you want to make changes to logical or physical attributes of the table while reclaiming space, you can use online table redefinition as an alternative to segment shrink. Online redefinition is also referred to as reorganization. Unlike online segment shrink, it requires extra disk space to be allocated. See "Redefining Tables Online" for more information.Regards,

  • Behaviour of "Disable/Delete User After End Date" Task

    Hi Expert,
    We ran the given OOTB task "Disable/Delete User After End Date" and the behavior is always delete. How,if possible, to change the behavior to disable?
    Thanks in advance.
    SK

    In order to change the behavior, you have to set the system manager preference called "Period to Delay User Delete" to something bigger than the task will make the user disabled and will automatically delete them at a future date.

    Edited by: 883279 on Jan 28, 2013 4:56 AM When you delete a row in a table, oracle marks the block as free block and it does not actually frees the block. The subsequent insert statement uses this information and overwrites the block with new data.
    cehck this out, I have a table
    SQL> create table t
      2  as
      3  select *
      4    from all_objects;
    Table created.Now i run this
    SQL> set autotrace on
    SQL>
    SQL> select count(*) from t;
      COUNT(*)
        213321
    Statistics
             28  recursive calls
              0  db block gets
           2960  consistent gets
           2879  physical reads
              0  redo size
            517  bytes sent via SQL*Net to client
            488  bytes received via SQL*Net from client
              4  SQL*Net roundtrips to/from client
              0  sorts (memory)
              0  sorts (disk)
              1  rows processed
    SQL> select count(*) from t;
      COUNT(*)
        213321
    Statistics
              0  recursive calls
              0  db block gets
           2884  consistent gets
              0  physical reads
              0  redo size
            517  bytes sent via SQL*Net to client
            488  bytes received via SQL*Net from client
              4  SQL*Net roundtrips to/from client
              0  sorts (memory)
              0  sorts (disk)
              1  rows processedCheck the consistent gets in the second qyery its 2884.
    Now i delete all the rows from table
    SQL> delete from t;
    213321 rows deleted.Now i again run the query
    SQL> select count(*) from t;
      COUNT(*)
             0
    Statistics
              0  recursive calls
              0  db block gets
           2884  consistent gets
            306  physical reads
              0  redo size
            514  bytes sent via SQL*Net to client
            488  bytes received via SQL*Net from client
              4  SQL*Net roundtrips to/from client
              0  sorts (memory)
              0  sorts (disk)
              1  rows processedYou can see the consistent gets is same 2884, so oracle goes through all the data blocks even after
    we delete them.
    Now i truncate the table
    SQL> truncate table t;
    Table truncated.
    SQL> select count(*) from t;
      COUNT(*)
             0
    Statistics
              1  recursive calls
              1  db block gets
              6  consistent gets
              0  physical reads
             52  redo size
            514  bytes sent via SQL*Net to client
            488  bytes received via SQL*Net from client
              4  SQL*Net roundtrips to/from client
              0  sorts (memory)
              0  sorts (disk)
              1  rows processedNow the HWM is reset and the blocks are released.

    How to reduce the size of file after delete some datas?

    Hi,
    What BDB release are you using? If it's one of the latest releases, then what you are looking for is the DB->compact() method:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17076_01/html/api_reference/C/dbcompact.html
    The DB->compact() method compacts Btree, Hash, and Recno access method databases, and optionally returns unused Btree, Hash or Recno database pages to the underlying filesystem. Please let me know if it helps.

    A 1600 error is:
    NSValidationRelationshipDeniedDeleteError Error code to denote some relationship with delete rule NSDeleteRuleDeny is non-empty.
    Available in Mac OS X v10.4 and later.
    Declared in CoreDataErrors.h.
    But I can't see for the life of me which relationship would be preventing the delete. If some Core Data wizard can see the error of my ways, I would be humbled. But seriously, thank you!

    Favor the route via iTunes and local storage on the computer. MUCH faster than any cloudy backup, no matter the speed of your Internet connection. No network beats the speed of a hard drive. Just make sure there's enough room on the computer before you start, must contain all that's on the iGadget.

    No one yet knows how long the next delay is.
