Incorrect Language in MSS tab

Hi,
This is regarding an issue with the MSS tab in Portal.
There is an option to change the language in Portal. And when i change the language and go to the MSS tab, some standard texts are not displayed in the language selected.This issue is only for the users assigned to a particular role.
For the rest with different roles, the texts are displayed in the language selected.
Any inputs on this will be helpful.

Thanks for the reply.
i was trying to find the language set in jco settings.Not sure where is it exactly maintained.
The issue here is that only some set of users assigned to a particular role are not able to see the text in the language selected.
In MSS, we have different links like general information etc and we can click on these to see the data.
Now, all these links are displayed in the language selected and only one text of the link is not displayed in the correct language selected.Please let me know ur inputs of where to check the jco settings or any other config needs to be checked.

This could be case when the payroll for the user XYZ has not be updated till the current period, in which you are trying to access the ESS or MSS tabs.
You can try this.
1. Go to the transaction - PC00_mxy_CLSTR
where xy refers to the MOLGA or the country coding for which the payroll is run.
Observe there till which period for the user XYZ the payroll has been run.
2. If the payroll has not been run for the current period.
Go to transaction PC00_mxy_CALC and by entering the parameters, run the payroll and try doing the same.

How to set multiple languages to each tab in JTabbedPane?

Hi!!!
Am trying to set two different languages to each tab in a tabbedpane. For each language i have maintained one file with unicodes. So, If any key has an empty value in that file, the value for the same key in other language file should be displayed for the tab.so, here the actual probem occured. it was showing some boxes instead of that tab title.Please give me a solution to set different languages (using setFont()) for a tabbedpane.

Do not want to display Course in MSS tab

Hi.
I have a problem that even after checking "No Intranet" in Course type info still the courses are showing up in MSS tab. The said courses are for external users and not for internal employees. Please suggest how to restric those courses only from not being displayed in MSS portal.

Control click or Right Click on the attachment in the body of the email and select 'View as icon'.
There is a (paid for) mail plugin called Attachment Tamer which helps Mail do a much better of handling attachments - giving much more control over how they are viewed/arranged/received. It's available from http://lokiware.info/Attachment-Tamer
(Usual caveat, I've no connection with Lokiware, just happy with their product).

Incorrect language translation, buttons in sourcing screen

Hi,
I am working with SRM 5.0. In sourcing cockpit, the buttons in the lower half of the screen (in work area) appear in german text. Logon language is "English".
I have run report "BBP_GEN_DYN_TEXTS" and re-activated function group "BBP_SOCO_UI_ITS". this has solved my transalation problem of other text on the same screen. Pls suggest.

Firefox spell-check dictionary switches to incorrect language when starting compose mail in Gmail

I have Firefox 11.0 with dictionaries for Lithuanian and Russian languages installed. It seems that no matter what dictionary language is selected, after I start composing mail in Gmail, it switches the dictionary language to Russian (it changes the spellchecker.dictionary property).
Steps to recreate:
1. Say, the dictionary language is set to Lithuanian in some way (the spellchecker.dictionary property is "lt")
2. Restart Firefox
3. Open Gmail page (spellchecker.dictionary is still "lt")
4. Start composing new mail - this is when the spellchecker.dictionary property gets changed to "ru"
(there are other, more complicated scenarios, when this happens, sometimes it is even enough to reload the Gmail tab)
Firefox general.useragent.locale property is "lt-LT", Gmail display language is "English-US". I don't know what other settings I should check. Of course, I could uninstall Russian altogether, but I do need it sometimes, so it would be nice to have, but not as a default language every time I open my mail.

Reinstalling iMovie error - incorrect language?

I bought iLife '06 and have been using it for the past year but wanted to install older iDVD themes that I hadn't previously installed. But for whatever reason I can't. Whenever I insert my install disc, I get an error that I can't install. The installer tells me that my computer's language is incorrect and can't continue.
What the heck is going on? I checked my System Prefs and in the International pane it's set to English. Is there something I'm overlooking? Lord knows I didn't change my machine's language. I don't have iLife '08 either, nor do I want it. Am I SOL or what?

OK... just wanted to pass along the actual error message I get when I try to perform an upgrade using my original iLife '06 disc:
*iLife is not compatible with the language of your computer.*
Please obtain a copy of iLife ’06 for your the language of your computer.
(no joke, that's the actual message, nonsense and all)

Incorrect Language txt Being Displayed

We have recently gone live using ECC 5.0 in a new region, Spain, when the users logon using using ES, certain transactions are showing the text in German, such as transaction S_ALR_87013624 ?
Spanish language has been imported 2 years ago and was supplemented with english in the client, I have logged on client 000 using ES,and transaction S_ALR_87013624 is in Spanish there, I have used both supplementation methods in SMLT using RSREFILL and combined with client Maintenance, as it appears the txt is not being copied from 000.
I have checked the support packages and no packages require transalation, so Spanish looks uptodate.
I've checked on our QA environment and in one test client 020 Spanish is there for S_ALR_87013624, but in another QA client 100 S_ALR_87013624 is in German, even though client 020 was created from a copy of client 100, client 000 it is in Spanish.
Any ideas ?

The automatic emails are generated by the background job
'SAP_ALERT_CALCULATION_ENGINE' which created the alerts. This job is
setup in SM37 to run the program 'ACE_CALCULATION_CONTROLLER' in
English language. Hence the email is in english.
Please change the language in the job step to Japenese.

Packaging Acrobat DC - Incorrect language selection displayed

I'm using Adobe CC Packager (WIN) to try to package Acrobat DC.
I've gotten to the point in the packager wizard process where you are prompted to select your preferred language for the install package.
I've chosen "English (International)" as the preferred language, as I don't want North American spelling, because I'm in Australia and we use U.K. spelling.
However, when the list of program appears with the check boxes next to them, Acrobat CC displays as "Acrobat DC - English (United Arab Emirates)"
Oddly enough, If I go back to the initial language choice prompt and change it to "English (United Arab Emirates)", it then just the language for the Acrobat DC app changes to just show "English" !?!?
Why does the Acrobat DC program change to "English (United Arab Emirates)" when I chose "English (International) as my preferred language??

Sorry for the misunderstanding. This English (UAE) has me puzzled. I have never seen an English pack with that name. Are you deploying for a company in that location? In other words, does the CC Packager ask for a location code or is the installer getting the region information from the OS?
Maybe you are deploying in International English, but it is appending your UAE location to the International English pack.
So my question is: Despite the location, is that English the UK type?

Displaying an Incorrect page in a tab control

I'm coming across a weird issue for the first time. I've got a typedef tab control, and when I open the VI, the contents of the first page are displayed in the control, even though the first page is not the active tab. I've attached an example VI. When test tab.vi is opened, you'll notice the String page is active, but the Boolean control is visible. This persists even when the VI is run. Switching pages makes the correct controls display. This only seems to happen when the tab control is a typedef, but I haven't done any thorough testing.
I've observed this on 8.20, which is the most recent version I have installed. I looked for, but didn't find, this issue in the 8.5 or 8.6 bug fix lists. Can anyone confirm that this is happening or let me know if it does not persist in more recent versions?

Incorrect Language picked for Material Description

Hello,
While creating an order from VA01, under the line items, we are entering a material which has a description maintained in two languages - Chinese and English. We choose the F4 help to get the list of languages. We are selecting English and clicking on ok. But the text appears in Chinese on the VA01 screen although we have selected English.
What could the problem be? We want the text to appear in English when we choose the English description.

The system determines the language of the material description in VA01
in three steps (FV45PF0M_MAAPV_SELECT):
DA_SPRAS = KUAGV-SPRAS.            <= comm. language of sold-to
IF DA_SPRAS = SPACE.
    DA_SPRAS = TVKO_SADR-SPRAS.      <= language of sales organization
ENDIF.
IF DA_SPRAS = SPACE.
    DA_SPRAS = SY-LANGU.             <= logon language
ENDIF.
So , you first take the sold-to party language and if a description
of the material exists in this language, you get the material
description in that language.
If no material description is maintained for the sold-to party lang.
the system will use the language of the sales organisation.
If no sales organisation language is maintained, the system will
lastly use the login language.

Third generation ipod shows incorrect language and settings menu not avail.

I finally found that "settings" menu by trial and error and I was able to change the language back to english. It was a royal pita lol.

[SOLUTION] Installer displays incorrect language

For those who have the same issue as myself and have attempted to install Flash through adobe.com but keep seeing some gibberish language in the installer (i.e. you are French. You chose the ENGLISH installer, but it still displays the text in French...) this is pretty much the only way I've found to work around Adobe's pathetic and useless programming skills: Go to youtube.com and install it from there. Your browser will tell you that you need to get an add-on to view the content. THIS installer is in English.
Good job, Adobe. Good damn job. Let's all hope HTML5 becomes mainstream FAST.

I have the opposite experience. After updating to the new 11.6.602.168 version every customer gets an english install insted of the MUI OS language. The 11.5.502.149 version works like it is expected.
Have couple of cases in the community, but have not got any solutions yet.
