  • I can't increase the hieght of my Songs tab Column Browser window

I can't increase the size of my "Songs" tab's Column Browser. Shortly after the 11 update (god, I really hate that the Browser is no longer a column between the sidebar and song window anymore... but I digress), I was adjusting the height of that window and got it down to showing just 2.5 rows, but then the resize icon disappeared and never came back.
I've tried CTRL-SHFT-B. And selecting all and none of the field options.
I've hid and shown the Sidebar.
I've maximized and minimized the iTunes window. But, it only shows 2 & 1/2 half rows of info. Kinda not awesome.
I haven't seen anyone else with this problem, and I keep thinking it will just be fixed when I install the upgrade, but it never does! I even just completely uninstalled all the Apple products (itunes, bonjour, etc)  because I was having install errors (the R6034 C++ runtime error) and I just reinstalled 11.1.4.62.
But, I CAN adjust the height in a new PLAYLIST. …. … UNTIL I shrink it as small as it goes then the resize height icon disappears again!  ***?  As long as I show all 3 rows, I can get the resize icon back. But if it goes to 2.5 lines, once I release the left mouse button… it’s gone! and I can no longer resize the height of the Column Browswer window!
Any ideas??  Is there some sort of lock that I triggered?
    Thanks.

b noir? You seem like a man in-the-know. Any ideas??

  • Increasing Barcode size

    HI,
i have developed a barcode of Code-128 with maximum width 10.
this width is not enough for my label i want it more bigger.
please suggest a way to do so.

    Hi friend,
There is a post already mentioned in the forum that the bar code size is getting doubled than the normal, when we see the bar code in print preview.
So just see the print preview whether you are getting the desired size else create a custom bar code of your own and use it.
There are many links available in SDN forum for creating custom bar code. So search that for creating custom bar code if it is needed.
If you still face queries please revert back to me i will help you.
    Thanks,

  • Anybody experience with increasing barcode size on form?

We are printing an SU Label form with a barcode. The SU Label is a WM sapscript form. I've been trying to size up the barcode as large as possible to get our scanner to read it at least 30 feet. In SE73, my print control is currently set to:
    \e(s4p100h220v55,165b55,165s24704T
This gets us to around 20 feet before it can no longer be scanned. I'm wondering if anybody has insight into anything that can be done to improve the barcode readability at a larger size?
    Thanks, Vlad

The size of a barcode is determined by the printer escape sequence,
which is sent to the printer to switch on the barcode.
    Please go to transaction:
SE73 -> 'Printer Barcodes' -> Select your 'Device Type'
-> You get a list of the barcodes, which the device  type is able
to print. On the right side you see the names of two print
controls: A prefix to switch on the bar code (SBP...) and a
suffix to switch off the bar code (SBS...)
-> Highlight the print control name with the cursor and press the
            'Displ. print control' button.
-> You should now see the printer escape sequence that tells the
            printer to start the barcode.
This sequence selects amongst other things  the type and size of the
    barcode.
To get another barcode size, it is required to change this sequence.
Please copy the device type to another name before changing:
SPAD -> Utilities -> For device types -> Copy device type.
If you use a Jetcaps barcode SIMM, the attached Note 45643 explains the
sequences. Otherwise your printer manual should be able to help you.
Overall width cannot be changed, have to change width of bars and
    spaces.

  • Cannot resize the corporate logo in EBS header

    Hi
I was working on the customizing the EBS 12.1.1 login and applications pages. I had configured the right logo locations and modified the necessary profile values for the site.
The problem is that the company logo become smaller in size.
I need your help on how to make the custom corporate logo size fits and keeps its size when deployed in the EBS.
Also I need you to help me how to increase the hieght of the login page banner to fit the size of the logo.
Our corporate logo size is WxH 600 x 100 px
    Please help me
    Thank you in advance
    C. D.

    Hello Hussein
Thank you very much for your reply. I actually followed the note ID and it is a bug in 12.0, where is already fixed in my case as the applications version is 12.1.1
My issue here is that no matter the custom logo size is, it will be only fit with the original Oracle logo size, which is smaller than the corporate logo.
Oracle logo size: WxH is 155 x 20
Corporate logo size: WxH is 400 x 100
Currently the corporate logo is rendered and displayed as the size of Oracle Logo WxH 155 x 20. I need help in where to do the modification for the corporate logo rendered and displayed as its original size, 400 x 100. After that, I will need to modify the height of the header to fit with the new logo size.
    Please help.
    Thank you

  • Why barcode works in Adobe Acrobat Pro but become "grey" in Adboe Reader ?

I have created a form with barcode using Adobe Acrobat Pro with ONE field only and it works prefect.
However, the barcode area become grey if I using Adobe "Reader" to fill-in data!  I have tried to increase the size of the barcode area but still don't work.
    Can anyone help?

    Hi everyone,
Any solution to this issue? Is there any cheap Adobe or third party component that enable us to design pdf forms with either livecycle designer or acrobat and provide dynamic barcode functionality for the end users having adobe reader?

  • Barcode Capacity

To provide more information on this question, here is a summary of what we are trying to achieve and the problems we are having & questions we have:
Background* We have two different forms that we want to capture data using 2D barcodes.
    * The intention is that the main form is completed & signed, given to the second party who then fills out their form and faxed together to a central server.
    * It is critical for us that we capture the form data via the same channel as the physical signature & electronic signatures are not viable.* For the main form, we need to fit the barcodes on to the existing pages -- this is a very limited amount of space.
    The problem
    * The main form is the problematic form - we have ~ 200 fields on the main form
    * We are planning to fix the max length of each field - some based on existing systems & others not.
    * Current total length count is ~ 3200 but we expect to strip this back to 2000-2500 chars, of which some will be all numeric or uppercase.
    * We are currently assuming 3 barcodes for the main form but we may be able to get the max chars low enough to fit in 2 barcodes if they hold 1598 chars each.
    * Based on our understanding the Adobe barcoding presentation ...
         * PDF-417 is restricted to a maximum of 34 columns (30 data) wide x 90 rows high
         * This gives a maximum of 928 code words in a bar code
         * Level 6 error correction redundancy uses 129 code words
         * This leaves 799 code words for data.
         * Each code word holds 1-2 data chars (2 if all numbers or all uppercase, 1 is worst case if swap from upper/lower/number/symbol for every char)
         * This theoretically gives 799 to 1598 screen chars per barcode.
         * Originally had intended to use XML data in the barcode, but now understand the cost and plan to use delimited data only (probably tab)
         * It is quite important to have a minimal (preferably zero) rate of barcode overflow as these forms may have to be manually re-typed.
         * Barcode compression is reported to give ~10-30% saving in space for typical data
         * With compression it may be hard to guarantee that there is no overrun unless the max field lengths are < the barcode stores uncompressed
         * Before commitments are made within our organisation, we need to be sure:
              - how many barcodes we need to store the max length of data
              - how much space does each barcode need on the page
              - whether we can fit the required number into the available space!
    Specific Barcode Questions
    1. How can we find out in livecycle designer (a) the number of rows/cols in a barcode, or (b) how many chars it can actually hold?
    2. What is the max # of uppercase-only chars we can fit in one barcode?
    3. What is the minimal space occupied by one barcode that is holding the max # of chars?
    4. If we make a barcode smaller does this reduce the max # of rows/cols (and therefore chars) that it can store?
    5. How do tab delimiters or commas count towards filling the barcode?
    6. Can we stop the barcode from greying out when it overflows so we can capture the "first half" of the data?
    7. What proportion of reduction do you typically get with the Livecycle compression?
    8. If using compression to fit more data in, how do we avoid the problem with an unusual case having poor compression & overflowing the barcode?
    9. We don't understand the limit of 928 code words given that 30 data cols x 90 rows would be 2700 code words?
    10. We have found a couple of cases where barcodes are greyed out in LiveCycle Designer but the same form / same data has a good barcode when using Adobe 8 Standard - are there known differences / limitations between the products.
I have attached our test form below.
The barcode is 100mm x 45 mm but we can only get 868 uppercase chars to fit in it - it greys out in Livecycle designer with more.
Do we have to make it bigger to get more chars or have we done something wrong?
Any help or advice much appreciated.

Here are some of the answers to your questions:
    1. How can we find out in livecycle designer (a) the number of rows/cols in a barcode, or (b) how many chars it can actually hold?
    - Designer does not provide you with an indication of the number of rows or columns but does try to estimate whether or not the barcode will hold all of the data you've selected for inclusion.  It is a rough very estimate though.  Capacity-wise with Reader 8.1.3 and higher if the barcode is not filled to capacity then the modules will increase in size automatically helping to improve read-rates so the number of rows and columns will change dynamically based on the data entered into the barcode.
    2. What is the max # of uppercase-only chars we can fit in one barcode?
    - This depends on the size and orientation of the barcode and the error correction used.  I've attached a sample that will allow you to test the capacity of different barcodes.  In the example you can enter the number of characters you wish to store and a random string of characters will be generated with either upper-case only, mixed case, and Japanese.  This should help you quite a bit.
    3. What is the minimal space occupied by one barcode that is holding the max # of chars?
    - This is always determined by the workflow.  Who are your end users and how will the forms be printed, delivered, and scanned?  The larger you make the barcode the larger the module size.  If you expect your end users to be using low-quality paper and ink jet printers then you need to ensure your modules are slightly larger to compensate for ink-bleeding.  Let me know your workflow and I'll try to make some recommendations.
    4. If we make a barcode smaller does this reduce the max # of rows/cols (and therefore chars) that it can store?
    - Yes, the smaller the barcode, the smaller the capacity and the smaller the modules.
    5. How do tab delimiters or commas count towards filling the barcode?
    - Tabs and Commas have the same "cost" inside the barcode itself.  As long as you are not using XML then either a tab or comma will suffice.  Just be aware that will need to make sure that end-users cannot enter commas into any of your data fields if you are using a comma as your delimiter.
    6. Can we stop the barcode from graying out when it overflows so we can capture the "first half" of the data?
    - No, currently there is no property that will tell you if the barcode is grayed  out.  You need to test your forms and set the limits in your form and code.  I will be publishing a sample later on that can detect whether or not a barcode is grayed out or not.  Expect it within the next month or so.
    7. What proportion of reduction do you typically get with the Livecycle compression?
    - This depends on the data being compressed but can average anywhere from 10 to 20 percent in the cases I've seen.  Flate compression is very good with repeating data.  If you do not have a lot of repeating data you may actually lose capacity by introducing Flate compression especially on non-English content.
    8. If using compression to fit more data in, how do we avoid the problem with an unusual case having poor compression & overflowing the barcode?
    - Again, testing with random data is the only way to ensure the barcode does not get overridden.
    9. We don't understand the limit of 928 code words given that 30 data cols x 90 rows would be 2700 code words?
    - These details are the specifications from the original design from Symbol (20 years ago) but it's not 2700 code words, it's 2700+/- characters.  Assuming no error correction and only upper-case characters and no punctuation of any kind.
    10. We have found a couple of cases where barcodes are grayed out in LiveCycle Designer but the same form / same data has a good barcode when using Adobe 8 Standard - are there known differences / limitations between the products.
    - Barcoded forms MUST be properly Reader Extended with the Barcoded Forms right.  If you do not apply this correctly then the barcodes will gray out when using the free Adobe Reader.  Both Acrobat and Acrobat within Designer should display the same results.

  • Custom barcode not displayed after changing width

    Hi All,
I have a requirement to increase the size of the barcode from 9cm to 10cm in a SAPscript form.  Previously we were using the standard barcode BC_128B.  Using SE73, you can see the the configuration of standard barcode BC_C128B.
    Bar code        Width       Unit
    BC_C128B      9,00        CM
    ZBC12810     10,00        CM
ZBC12810 is the custom barcode that I created which slightly differ from the standard object (different width and description).  I also created a custom device types that is used by the barcode and then included the custom barcode in each one of the custom device types.
The above steps I did to create the custom bar code and device types can be found here: [Traditional Barcode printing for Smart Forms and Sapscript|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/68/4a0d5b74110d44b1b88d9b6aa1315b/content.htm]
I then changed the barcode defined in the sapscript.  The result was the barcode is not displayed anymore and only the barcode text is being displayed.
    Your inputs are greatly appreciated.

  • Cell Hieght in table

    HI
I am trying to print 6 line items in a single cell of a table  . I have put a loop and called the internal table in the cell . Upto 3 line items it prints perfectly but fails to give any output if it exceeds to more then 3 .
    My questions :
    1.    Is it possible to adjust Cell hieght in a table .
    2. Which option in smartform_trace I should select to overlapping Cell error message .
    Please help .

    Hi,
You can define a paragraph in smartstyle and increase the gap there.
Apply the same to that particular  row.
If you want to debug.. Put a break point in the FM for the smartform.FInd out where that particular error message is being called by checking on the msg no.

    Hi,
In my smartforms i use a simply standard barcode (CD39__00)
for delivery number; but when i print there is no barcode, there is the dlivery number as number.
I'm in SAP ECC 6.0 so with the new barcode printing.
    Where is the problem?
    Thanks a lot.
    Matteo

Hi - Sometimes if the height of bar code is small, then it prints the number instead of barcode. So please try to copy tht barcode into "Z" from se73 transaction and increase the height and then assign the new barcode to ur smartform. Doing this you will be getting the barcode printed on it.
    Thanks
    Arun Kumar
Ok, i create a new bar code bigger than the first one and now it's printed.
    Thanks lot.
