Increasing the Performace of GLPCA Table

Dear All,
Is there any way to increase the performace of GLPCA table
Regards
VSKR

Hi,
It depends on your SAP release. The easiest way to see if it's possible is to go to OSS and type 'GLPCA performance'. There are several notes regarding this issue, but only some could be reolevant for your current SAP release.

Eli

Some times fld1 to fid170 or more fields will be there in my internal table.
Please suggest me how to make my requirement dynamic and display this data fetched into this internal table onto a .XLS file in the presentation server ?

    Hi
You can try to use the type string:
    form like zscr_data_hdr-form,
    werks like zscr_data_hdr-werks,
    matnr like zscr_data_hdr-matnr,
    verid like zscr_data_hdr-verid,
    lot like zscr_data_hdr-lot,
    lot_qty like zscr_data_hdr-lot_qty,
    udate like zscr_data_hdr-udate,
    utime like zscr_data_hdr-utime,
    zuser like zscr_data_hdr-zuser,
    processed like zscr_data_hdr-processed,
    defect like zscr_defect_data-defect,
    vornr like zscr_route_data-vornr,
    fieldxx type string,
    dayst like zscr_data_hdr-dayst,
    end of t_data.
So you can save you informations of every fld<n> concatenating their values into fieldxx.

  • Increasing the width of Pivot table Columns

    Hi Gurus,
Small pivot table --> ( ie having less no of columns which generally can be seen in a single page without scrolling to the right)
If i have a small pivot table , then in the column properties through additional formatting options i can increase the width of an individual column.
However if the pivot table is Big,I am not able to increase the width of the individual column .
I tried setting width in the additional formatting options in the Content Properties( just above Rows and below Section there is a small grey box containing finger).
Now the Content Properties indeed increases the width of the column, but it also increase the width of the whole Pivot Table.
See...If i have a fixed number of columns in a PIVOT Table that do not change with prompt, then this solution work fine...
but the problem comes when the no of columns in pivot Table reduces based on the prompt selected.
In this case the less no of columns tries to occupy the whole width set in the content properties.
In short, with Content Properties the width of the PIVOT Table becomes fixed, irrespective of the no of columns coming.
Also after setting content properties, I am not able to print the report to PDF.
So the Question is... Can we increase the width of a Big Pivot Table whose no of columns keeps on changing based on the prompt....
    Big pivot table -->
(ie table having no of columns which exceeds a single window frame and have to scroll to right to see the rest of the columns)
I hope i have not made things messy...
    Thanks
    Ashish

    Ashish,
Yes, you can set a fixed size for these. I'm sure you are fixing these because of PDF issue which might be irregular in sizes. Just play arnd with Custom CSS options.

  • How to Increase the Length of Condition table in OV20

While creating a condition table in T.code OV20 if fields length is more that 50 bytes table is not getting generated.it gives error as Too Many Fields Selected(More than 50 Bytes).
Actually i need to create a tabel with Basic Material(WRKST) which has length of 48 bytes.
Is there a solution on how to increase the length so that error is avoided.
There is no such error occuring while crating condition table in V/03

  • How to increase the rows of a Table control on ITS

    Hi,
I'm trying to increase the number of rows to 20 on ITS but it always shows 2 rows per navigation. Although in the backend module pool there are 8 rows and the GV_SOS_LIST_CONTROL-LINES contains the total no of rows of the internal table. yet there are always 2 rows getting printed. This screen is in different function group and being called from some other function group i.e BBP_SC_UI_ITS. Are there any parameters that we have missed out to pass from BBP_SC_UI_ITS to our function group. Reply needed urgently!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi,
i tried increasing the rows on the browser by hard coding the counter and then the rows do increase but the records that are shown are still 2 per navigation. i doubt if it is a screen size constraint. the transaction in which i'm trying all this is bbpsc01.

  • Increase the size of Virsa Table

    Hi gurus,
We are in the process of uploading mitigating control description but the system showed maximum as 132 characters.
Can we anyway increase the size of that field in virsa table

    Dear Praveen,
In SE11 -> enter table name and choose database table radiobutton -> Choose display or enter key -> Check the filed type and length.
You would need to create a new data element (with required type and length) and assign the same to the field or use Predefined Type (Not recommended).
Allowed maximum length's for Numeric (NUMC) - 255, and Character (CHAR) - 30000.
    Regards,
    Naveen.

  • Dynamically increasing the rows of a table in interactive forms.

    Hi All,
I am new to adobe forms.I am developing an interactive form in webdynpro abap.I have a requirement such that i have 3 columns in a table and the first 5 rows are default i.e, i will add it during design time.when we enter something in the 5th row,6th row should automatically be created which wil be empty.I also need to retrieve the data back into the webdynpro component when user enters something in it and clicks the submit button.can anyone tel me how wil i generate this table and when someone enters something into the form how wil i store the data back in the component.
my context node has hours ,minutes and call code as attributes which wil be the column names.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Srividya.

    Hi Srividya,
For flow of data from the form to webdynpro. Do the follwing:
Suppose you have a table on the form and you want to pass data from this form to web dynpro.
    1. Create a node of cardinality 0...n or 1.....n. Add attributes to this. Now this node is as a internal table and the attributes are like intenal table fields.
    2. When creating the form. Use This node as the data source for the form.
    3. Now its easy in webdynpro ABAP to create a table on the Adobe form. Just drag and drop the Data node(from which you want to create table) from the data view on the designer on to the form.
    4. Now its already bound to the node you have created and whatever data you will enter in the table that will be reflected to the node. and you can check it by creating a table on the view from the same node.
    5. After you will click on submit button the data will reflect to table on  webdynpro view.
If its not works then problem could be that the ACF is not installed on your system due to which button is not processing and fields are not reflecting data.
For ACF you can search it on SAP service market place.
    Hope it will help.

    Vaibhav Tiwari.

  • Ctx_doc.snippet increase the number of occurrences returned

    Hi everybody,
I am pretty new on Oracle Text so please be merciful :)
I am on Oracle 10.2.0.4.0 and I need to provide my users with ALL snippets found in a text, but it seems that CTX_DOC.SNIPPET restricts the number of snippets occurrences (I will exemplify it later).
The question is: is there a way to increase the number of results/snippets returned by CTX_DOC.SNIPPET ?
In the example that follows, I create the table "mysearch" and an index of type CTXSYS.CONTEXT, then I run the final SELECT query with CTX_DOC.SNIPPET() to obtain a list of most relevant fragments.
If you run the query - see the column "SNIPPET" - record #6 is returning only the first 4 occurrences. In this case (especially because is a single row) I would expect to find all 6 occurrences instead of 4.
Again, if looking to record #7 I have only 3 occurrences.
Then for record #8 I have only 2 occurrences.
I know that CTX_DOC.SNIPPET retrieves the "most" relevant fragment, but I would like to obtain the full list of fragments present in the indexed text. Is there a way (or an alternate method) to accomplish what I like to do.
I have also noted that CTX_DOC.MARKUP can be used on the same index to retrieve the full text "marked-up" with my query terms, so I know Oracle has indexed the text somewhere, I need only to get it out !
Any help will be very appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Luigi

  • Increase the number of portions in process for each conversion object

    I experts,
I configured SAP TDMS 3.0 with SP 14 to transfer test data from QAS to DEV (both is ECC 6.0) for the first test with TDMS TIM (Time Based Reduction).
The data transfer phase is still running (99% - 60hs running). We analyzed the Display Runtime Information report and see that objects of conversion with similar calc. records and calc. GBytes have very different the Net Runtime.
TMDS currently is working with four objects of conversion, processing a portion of each.
Conversion objects that are running are:
    - Z_LTBP_002
    - Z_TSEGE_002
    - Z_VEVW_002
    - Z_YST27_002
We check in the receiver system, and we see that is use only one DIA process to update the each table.
How can increase the performance of the update? Is correct that use only 1 DIA process for this??
Can I increase the number of portions in process for each conversion object?
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Sergio

    Hi,

delete from table1 partition (P_2008_1212)This approach is wrong - as Andre pointed, this is not how partition tables should be used.
Oracle supports different structures for data and indexes. A table can be a hash table or index organised table. It can have B+tree index. It can have bitmap indexes. It can be partitioned. Etc.
How the table implements its structure is a physical design consideration.
Application code should only deal with the logical data structure. How that data structure is physically implemented has no bearing on application. Does your application need to know what the indexes are and the names of the indexes,in order to use a table? Obviously not. So why then does your application need to know that the table is partitioned?
When your application code starts referring directly to physical partitions, it needs to know HOW the table is partitioned. It needs to know WHAT partitions to use. It needs to know the names of the partitions. Etc.
And why? All this means is increased complexity in application code as this code now needs to know and understand the physical data structure. This app code is now more complex, has more moving parts, will have more bugs, and will be more complex to maintain.
Oracle can take an app SQL and it can determine (based on the predicates of the SQL), which partitions to use and not use for executing that SQL. All done totally transparently. The app does not need to know that the table is even partitioned.
This is a crucial concept to understand and get right.
