Info structure lacks the necessary structure - MA004

Dear friends,
I have created user defined Infostructure. Maintained the planning parameters by T code MC7F.
While creating a planning Hierarchy (MC61), I am getting following error.
Info structure S556 lacks the necessary structure.
Message No - MA004.
Can anybody tell me what it is?
Regards,
Avinash

The default units of the information structure on which your planning hierarchy is based are defined in Customizing (in Set parameters for info structures and key figures). They are:
·        Period indicator
·        Currency
·        Base unit of measure
The base units of measure of materials are taken from the material master records. If the base unit of measure if a material is different than the base unit of measure of the information structure, you must define the base unit of the information structure as an alternative unit of measure in the material master record
I am not sure whether it works or not, Please try.

    Dear,
This is problem with your self define info-structure check all characteristics and key figure in MC22.
or information on possible causes, please refer to the long text of the message.  In addition, this message will be displayed if your infostructure contains more than one characteristic that uses either of the check tables MARA or T001W.  In otherwords, you should have only one material characteristic and one plant characteristic in your infostructure.

    Hello BI Folks,
I have a requirement where the user enters the input(text variable)
say 03/2011 then the report output should be Jan,Feb,Mar.
say  05/2011 then the output should be Jan,Feb,Mar,Apr,May,likewise.
The report output should be:(if the text variable is---02/2011)

I am acheievin this by using creating 2 structures in the columns.
1 structure is for jan-dec & another structure for the KPIs(sales,FOC).
I am writing customer exit to read the text variable & get the data for the variable read.

The problem is i am not getting the query ouput atleast not the query structure. Is there any other way to achieve this type of output.
Note:--The text variable wil be based on 0calmonth.
The custmer exit variables Jan-dec is based on 0calday.

    Hi crazymatts,
    Thanks for ur reply.
There is no data in the text variable (0CALMONTH).
But i think the structure atleast gets displayed in the output,am not gettin even that.
And there is no reference characteristics on the text variable. Its a manual input variable which i will be using in my code.
    Thanks,
    Shreya J.

  • Event structure inside a case structure

    Hi,
I've got a problem w/ my porgram, and managed to boil it down to this
simple example.  The program basically hangs if you change the
Numeric value when the boolean is false.  I don't understand
why.  I suspect it has to do with the way event structures are
treated, but if someone cou please explain this I'd be greatful.
Also, now imagine I have 7 numeric controls, handled by 7 cases in that
event structure, and I actually want to do things in response to the
value change for each.  Can someone suggest an elegant way to do
that?  I thought what I had here was a good design, but apparently
    not.

It is generally a bad idea to place event structures into cases. Events structures need to be able to breathe.
Maybe you can redesign your program and place the case structure inside the event structure, for example? (Also have a look at the online help for the event structure, especially the link "caveats and recommendations for using events ".)
    Detailed analysis:
Your event case for the numeric is set to "lock front panel until event completes".  If you change the numeric while the case is false, the evet structure cannot execute, so the front panel locks forever. The observed behavior is as expected. All clear?
In addition, if the case is false, the main loop spins at nearly infinite rate, consuming all available CPU. Place a small wait to be more cosiderate to everything else running on your rig.

  • 10.5.8 update corrupted the Volume Structure of my MacBook Pro and iMac

After installing the 10.5.8 update on my Macbook Pro AND my iMac, BOTH computers refuse to boot up. If I boot from a TechTool Deluxe DVD and run the system scan, It fails both the Directory Scan and the Volume Structure test. The only common application on these computers is the Fusion PC emulator. I was reading that the newest update fixed problems with this application. PLEASE HELP!!!

    Some general advice on updating:
It is worth noting that it is an extreme rarity for updates to cause upsets to your system, as they have all been extensively beta-tested, but they may well reveal pre-existing ones, particularly those of which you may have been unaware. If you are actually aware of any glitches, make sure they are fixed before proceeding further.
So before you do anything else:
If you can, make a full backup first to an external hard disk. Ideally you should always have a bootable clone of your system that enables you to revert to the previous pre-update state.
Turn off sleep mode for both screen and hard disk.
Disconnect all peripherals except your keyboard and mouse.
    1. Repair Permissions (in Disk Utility)
    2. Verify the state of your hard disk using Disk Utility. If any faults are reported, restart from your install disk (holding down the C key), go to Disk Utility, and repair your startup disk. Restart again to get back to your startup disk.
At least you can now be reasonably certain that your system does not contain any obvious faults that might cause an update/upgrade to fail.
    3. Download the correct version of the COMBO update from the Apple download site.
The Combo updater of Leopard 10.5.8 can be found here:
    http://support.apple.com/downloads/MacOS_X_10_5_8_ComboUpdate
If you prefer to download updates via Software Update in the Apple menu (which would ensure that the correct version for your Mac was being downloaded), it is not recommended to allow SU to install major (or even minor) updates automatically. Set Software Update to just download the updater without immediately installing it. There is always the possibility that the combined download and install (which can be a lengthy process) might be interrupted by a power outage or your cat walking across the keyboard, and an interrupted install will almost certainly cause havoc. Once it is downloaded, you can install at a time that suits you. You should make a backup copy of the updater on a CD in case you ever need a reinstall.
Full details about the 10.5.8 update here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3606
More information on using Software Updater here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TA24901?viewlocale=en_US
Using the Combo updater ensures that all system files changed since the original 10.5.0 are included, and any that may have been missed out or subsequently damaged will be repaired. The Delta updater, although a temptingly smaller download, only takes you from the previous version to the new one, i.e. for example from 10.5.7 to 10.5.8. Software Update will generally download the Delta updater only. The preferable Combo updater needs to be downloaded from Apple's download site.
    Now proceed as follows:
    4. Close all applications and turn off energy saving and screensaver.
    5. Unplug all peripherals except your keyboard and mouse.
    6. Install the update/upgrade. Do not under any circumstances interrupt this procedure. Do not do anything else on your computer while it is installing. Be patient.
    7. When it ask for a restart to complete the installation, click restart. This can take longer than normal, there are probably thousands of files to overwrite and place in the correct location. Do nothing while this is going on.
    8. Once your Mac is awake, repair permissions again, and you should be good to go!
If your Mac seems slightly sluggish or ‘different’, perform a second restart. It can’t hurt and is sometimes efficacious!
    9. Open a few of your most used applications and check that all is OK. In this connection please remember that not all manufacturers of third party applications and plug-ins, add-ons, haxies etc, will have had time to do any necessary rewrites to their software to make them compliant with the latest version of your operating system. Give them a weeks or two while you regularly check their websites for updates. This applies particularly to plug-ins for Safari 4.
N.B. Do not attempt to install two different updates at the same time as each may have different routines and requirements. Follow the above recommendations for each update in turn.
Lastly, Apple's own article on the subject of Software Update may also be useful reading:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106695
If you are updating Safari (or just have):
Input Managers from third parties can do as much harm as good. They use a security loophole to reach right into your applications' code and change that code as the application starts up. If you have installed an OS update and Safari is crashing, the very first thing to do is clear out your InputManagers folders (both in your own Library and in the top-level /Library), log out and log back in, and try again.
So, disable all third party add-ons before updating Safari, as they may not have been updated yet for the new version. Add them back one by one. If something goes awry, remove it again and check on the software manufacturer's website for news of an update to match your version of Safari.
Most errors reported here after an update are due to an unrepaired or undetected inherent fault in the system, and/or a third party add-on.
Additional tips on software installation here:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106692
To reiterate, Input Managers reach right into an application and alter its code. This puts the behavior of the affected application outside the control and responsibility of its developers: a recipe for problems. That's not to say that issues absolutely will ensue as a result of Input Managers, but you, as a user, must decide. If the functionality of a specific Input Manager or set thereof is really important to you, you may well choose to assume the associated risk.
Again, the advice is to remove all Input Managers from the following directories:
    • /Library/InputManagers
    • ~/Library/InputManagers
especially prior to system updates (they can always be added back one-by-one later).

  • CProjects - locking logic in the project structure

    Hello all,
I'm working on cProjects 4.5, and I notice something very ennoying.
When I open a project throught the "projects" menu, then I lock all the project. I'm the only one able to open any element in the project.
When I open a project element (a task for instance) through the "tasks" menu, it seems I lock only this element. But even if I'm the administrator, I'm not able to create subtasks, assign a role to this task or to update sub-elements in the hierarchy. Whereas it's feasible when I open the project throught the "projects" menu.
Does it mean that several users cannot work at the same time on different project elements in the same project???
    Thanks for your feedback.
    Matthias

    FYI,
Locking structures is more peculiar in cProjects than in Project System and we found there was a real lack of information on the topic.  The obvious locking functionality you would expect by opening an entire project from the project tab in change mode applies and as you expect this will lock anyone else from working on any project element.  The locking design holds together from the dashboards for users who are processing individual tasks or checklist items and these do no interfere with each other as you would expect.  The problem for users arises when a project manager user wants to maintain the project at the same time other users have individual tasks and/or checklist item open.  In PS, if you open the project in change mode in Project Builder you would see the locked items greyed out and would have access to change the rest of the project.  This is a sensible design and it took us some time to find the equivalent in cProjects:
If a project manager wants to maintain checklist items while other users are processing, then they can open the project using the Search function on the Checklists tab.  By default, the Project Definition is not locked and the PM can use the Display/Change icon to toggle into change mode for individual objects not locked by another user.  Note that if the checklists belong to a parent Phase, the system puts a lock on the phase.  We encountered this when trying to open the project from the Projects tab.  A PM is not allowed to make any changes to  elements in that Phase once someone has a checklist item open in change mode.
If a project manager wants to maintain Tasks while other users are processing, then they can open the project using the Search function on the Tasks tab.  By default, the Project Definition is not locked and the PM can use the Display/Change icon to toggle into change mode for individual objects not locked by another user.  You can also navigate down to sub-Tasks and maintain them using the Display/Change icon.
You may want to consider setting up some of your users to default to Display mode on their user settings.  We considered this for checklist and task recipients whereby they needed to toggle to change mode if they wanted to make a confirmation.  Otherwise, they are display and therefore reduce the instances of locking objects when they donu2019t intend to make a change.
As a PM, you have the option to use the Search function to open individual Tasks and Checklist items by their ID numbers, but found this to be pretty clunky.  Additionally, if two PM's want to work on different parts of the Project structure (which is desired for the current client), then opening the project from the Tasks tab is the most user friendly way.

  • The Database Structure Has Been Modified

    Good Day!
Just want to ask what is the probable reason why upon using SAP, there is a system message " The database structure has been modified. In order to resume the process, all open windows will be closed. Continue?"  Even upon user log in , this system message appear affecting other user's data entry. Upon adding of the document (of other users when this system message appear), all the UDFs are missing, causing their data entry to be inaccurate since you cannot update row level once the document has been added.
Hope to hear from you soon.

    Hello ...
This error message appears every time that has altered the structure of the database, either by creating a new field of user or user table, so it is inevitable that appear the same.

  • The structure of the profit center report in new GL

    Hello,
I must finish a query for the customer this week. This query must base on a sap standard report for the new GL.
Because our ECC 6.0 system hasn't the Enhancement Package 3 (contains the necessary new features) yet, so I can't see this standard report which should be displayed under the path:
SAP Menu --> Accounting --> Financial Accounting --> General Ledger --> Information System --> General Ledger Reports (New) --> Profit Center Reports --> S_E38_98000088 - Profit Center Group: Plan/Actual/Variance
Can somebody tell me the structure of this report, if you can see this report in your system?
    - Which key figure has been used in the report?
    - What are in the rows and columns?
    - Which characteristics are available to navigation?
    - Which variables and General data selections are there?
Hope somebody can help me. Thanks a lot!
    Best regards,
    Yuanyuan

    Hi,
Then my suggesion is you copy the form & report structure  of most suitable report (which you have downloaded through FGIQ) .Modify the form according to your reporting requirement. Create new report by coping standard report & assign this newly created form to this report. This will serve your purpose.
Please do not make any changes to standard report.Copy it & then do the changes.
Transaction code for the same is FGI0 or  FGI1 or FGI2 or 3 or 4 or 5 or FGI6.
Second suggestion is in SPRO in GL information system (infact in each information system ) you will find drilldown report node in that import report transaction e.g. FSIQ .Import all reports you might get your required report.

  • How can I pass data generated in a SubVI inside a Case Structure out of the Case Structure?

    Hello,
I am using a USB 2701 to control a heater.  I have three SubVIs that are all working properly on their own.  I'd like to use an Enum to select which of the SubVIs is running at a given time.  The problem is that no data is passing out of the case structure.  How can I pass the temperatures and heater outputs acquired by the SubVIs to the main VI?  I've attached my some of my code below.  I can't attach more than 3 files, but you can see how the main VI is configured.  Like I said, the SubVIs are working individually, so you shouldn't really need to look at them.
    Thank you,

    CJones,
You might check a couple of things.
Your HeaterTCD... VI has a While loop with a stop button condition.  HeaterTCD pass out values only when it finishes running.  If it doesn't pop open the front panel (which usually doesn't happen when running a SubVI) you could run into a stuck loop because you don't have access to the Stop button.  This could appear in the form of no data being passed out (because the SubVI never stops running).  The primary VI opens the HeaterTCD VI, starts it, and waits for the VI to finish and pass final values .
Secondary note: Unless you want your SubVI panel (which probably isn't open when running the main VI) to update continuously, consider moving your Temperature Graph and Temperature oC indicators outside the while loop.  Pass final values to them via a tunnel, since the main VI will only read their values after the loop finishes running, anyway.
It might help to add error management to HeaterTCD like you have for RampHeater.  If you connect error lines with Error Outs to your main VI, that will help tell if there is an error somewhere that is preventing info output.
RampHeater SubVI has the same issue with the stop button.  It is also probably getting stuck in the While loop waiting for a manual push of that SubVI's Stop button.
An easy way to test this would be to set up a logic circuit so that when the While loop iteration counter reaches a certain number, it registers True and sends it to the conditional.  I know this isn't what you want to do long-term, but if that lets your SubVI return outputs it means that the SubVI was just never stopping.
    Hope that helps.

  • I would like some help in determining the proper structure/implementation

I would like some help in determining the proper structure/implementation for the following scenario:
I have ~10 steel rods that have been equipped with a strain gauge.  The most I would have is ~30 steel rods.
Each setup has had a 10 point calibration done.
These steel rod/strain gauge setups are assigned a calibration number.
The data would be grouped for each steel rod and identified by the calibration number.
I would like to use that calibration data to determine the Young’s Modulus for each steel rod and store that within the specific rod’s information.
I want the user to be able to add new steel rods dynamically and the Young’s Modulus calculated and stored with it.
There are two different types of rods.
The cross-sectional area of the rod needs to be stored and that value is constant based on the rod type (so there are two different area values).
After a rod’s calibration data is entered the first time, the data should be static so it doesn’t need to be re-entered.
The user would enter the cal#, the 10 point calibration data, and the rod type.
The user will only see the steel rod cal# on the FP.
I am using a queue-based producer/consumer with event structure for the front panel interface.  So I’m thinking whenever a rod cal# was added I would call a subvi where the calibration data can be entered and then the Young’s Modulus could be calculated and stored.  An option to edit/review existing cal data should be available.
    LabVIEW 2010, Win 7.
    My initial idea was:
Rod Arr – array of clusters:
    Rod Info - cluster:
    Calibration number – string
    Rod Scale cluster:
    mV/V – double array
    force – double array
    Young’s Modulus – double
    Rod type – enum
    Cross-sectional area – double
I have not implemented this because I’m not sure how to implement that AND keep the data after it’s been entered.  And all of the bundling/unbundling anytime I want to access/edit any rod information can be BD consuming.  I thought a lookup table might work.  When I looked on the forums for a lookup table I was pointed in the direction of arrays/clusters.
    So I have two questions:
What would be the best structure for the steel rod data?
What would be the best data type for the calibration# that the user can edit (enum, ring, ?)?

I would make a couple of small change to your proposed data layout (highlighted in blue):
Rod Arr – array of clusters:
    Rod Info - cluster:
    Calibration number – string
    Array of Rod Scale cluster:
    mV/V – double
    force – double
    Young’s Modulus – double
    Rod type – enum
    Cross-sectional area – double
For the calibration data, I would have an array of clusters rather than a cluster of arrays.  IMHO, this makes it easier to index through the calibration points, and makes it less likely you will ever have a situation where you don't have the same number of mV/V and force points.  I'd also move the Young's modulus, type, and area info into the Rod Info cluster.
I prefer to store this type of configuration in the system registry, but that is more complicated and far from universal in the LabVIEW world.  A simpler way would be to simply pass the entire array to the "write to binary file" function.  If you do this, however, you might want to add a version number, otherwise it will be very difficult to maintain backwards compatibility if you ever need to change the data structure.
As far as the control type, it depends on what the user is entering.  If the user is mostly entering calibration numbers already in the system, I would use a (system) combo box.  This allows the user to select an existing calibration number from the menu, but also to enter a new calibration number if they need to.  If the user will almost always enter new calibration numbers, then I would use a standard string control.  Either way, you'll probably want to validate the format of the number the user enters.

  • Directory structure for the new Data Services Project

    1) I do as prescribed in the manual "Building and deploying
    Flex 2 Applications", page 325
"To create a web application make a copy of the /flex
directory and its contents. Rename the copy and store it in the
    same location under /servers/default directory."
("flex" is an empty Flex Data Services application that
serves as a template for creating your custom application)
    2) I create a corresponding project from Flex Builder 2 :
    Project type: Flex Data Services
    Root folder: C:\fds2\jrun4\servers\default\MyDS
    Root URL:
    http://localhost:8700/default/MyDS
    Project name: MyDS
    Project contents: C:\fds2\jrun4\servers\default\MyDS
    2) I build the project
Immediately after "build project" the directory structure at
    C:\fds2\jrun4\servers\default\MyDS becomes the following:
    .settings
    bin
    ----------------META-INF
    ----------------WEB-INF
    ---------------- --------------- classes
    ---------------- ---------------flex
    --------------------------------jsp
    --------------------------------lib
    -------------------------------sessions
    html-template
    META-INF
    WEB-INF
    ----------------classes
    ----------------flex
    ----------------jsp
    ----------------lib
    ----------------sessions
Notice that bin directory now contains another pair of
META-INF and WEB-INF in addition to those already existing in the
    template project "flex".
Can anybody comment on this directory structure?
Which META-INF and WEB-INF are supposed to be used for
    configuration?
What is the purpose of having two pairs of META-INF and
WEB-INF in the same web app?

    Hello -
first, those folders are necessary in deployment - You need
only the contents of the bin folder for deployment, not the
sources. Since you're compiling the application locally in FB2 it
places all of the supporting and necessary files into one location
namely the "bin" folder. You'd deploy the "bin" folder's contents
to the FDS server, perhaps another FDS server that is not your
"development" server -- like a production server. The data and
configuration information that your app needs for FDS services are
stored in the WEB-INF and META-INF folders so these need to travel
with the final product. On the production server you'd just cop the
"bin" folder and it's contents to the /servers/default folder -
where you could then rename your bin folder to "MyDS"

  • Report Painter Library: troubles with new field in the additional structure

    Hi, ALL!
I'm  creating a new field in the Report Painter table  GLFUNCT. Do do it I created my field in the additional structure GLDBZ  for GLFUNCT and create an row in the T804C table for new field.
Who has expirience in customizing using T804* tables? What tables should be used and how? I have the following troubles:
    - I do not see the new field as characteristic in the library - I don't know the customizing table to set fields from additional structure as characteristic
    - in the generated Report Painter program  my new field exists  but call of filler routine is always disabled
    Thanks
