Here is the current fun i am faced with.
Attempting to Create an Employee transition form in Info Path 2010
What I would really love to be able to do is have the from pull the associated deceives list from Spiceworks and populate that in the from once the user is selected.
There has to be a way to do this, need some extra brains to help me out here.
I will gladly put up a full walk-though for everyone once it works.

If you just installed iCloud does that mean you updated the iOS that's running on your iPad? If so, you'll want to restore all the programs you have from the backup you hopefully made.

I have a requirement to pull Order data in CRM from external non-sap application using Web services. Are there any standard SAP provided web services to pull order data based on some input? If yes, can you provide me any kind of documentation related to this?

The first DataSource (2LIS_03_BX) is used to extract an opening stock balance on a
detailed level (material, plant, storage location and so on). At this moment, the opening
stock is the operative stock in the source system. "At this moment" is the point in time at
which the statistical setup ran for DataSource 2LIS_03_BX. (This is because no
documents are to be posted during this run and so the stock does not change during this
run, as we will see below). It is not possible to choose a key date freely.
The second DataSource (2LIS_03_BF) is used to extract the material movements into
the BW system. This DataSource provides the data as material documents (MCMSEG
structure).
The third of the above DataSources (2LIS_03_UM) contains data from valuated
revaluations in Financial Accounting (document BSEG). This data is required to update
valuated stock changes for the calculated stock balance in the BW. This information is
not required in many situations as it is often only the quantities that are of importance.
This DataSource only describes financial accounting processes, not logistical ones. In
other words, only the stock value is changed here, no changes are made to the
quantities. Everything that is subsequently mentioned here about the upload sequence
and compression regarding DataSource 2LIS_03_BF also applies to this DataSource.
This means a detailed description is not required for the revaluation DataSource.

Report is not pulling the data from multiprovider in BI 7.0

Hi BW gurus,
We have upgraded our BW systems from 3.5 to BI 7.0.
According to our requirement we did some modifications(added some new cubes) to existing multiprovider. All the objects and assignments looks good in the multiprovider.
We are facing a problem while executing the reports, report is not pulling any data from the particular multiprovider but I can see the data from the multiprovider.
For any selection creteria we are getting the msg like "No applicable data found".
Created a sample query with only two chars and two KF's no conditions, no exceptions still the report is not populating any data for any selection creteria.
Appreaciate for your help in this regard.

Inventory data load from Inventory Cube to another Copy Cube

Hello Experts,
I am trying to load Inventory data from the Inventory cube(say YCINV) to a copy cube say YCOPY_CINV(copy of Inventory cube), but the results appear inconsistant when I compare the reports on these 2 cubes. I am trying to populate a fiield in copy cube so that I can populate the same data back to the original cube with the new field in it, I am doing this reload back and forth for historical data purpose only.
I have seen lot of posts as how to run the setups for Inventory data, but my case does not need to perform set up runs.
Does the note 1426533 solve the issue of loading from one cube to another ? we are on SAP BI 7.01 with SP 06 ,but the note specifies SP 07 ?
I have tried note 375098 to see if it works, but I do not see the options as mentioned from step "Using DTP (BW 7.x)" in BI to perform this note
Please advise on whether to go with implementing note 1426533 or is there any other way to load inventory data from one cube to other.

I do not see any setting like Intial stock in DTP except "initial non-cumulative for non- cumulative". I did try using the option "initial non-cumulative for non- cumulative" ,but the results still do not match with the inventory cube data.I do not see the check box for marker in the copy cube (under roll up tab). Please let me know if we can really implement this solution ,i.e. copying from inventory cube to copy cube and then re-loading it back to inventory cube for historical data. Currenlty, I am comparing the queries on these 2 cubes, if the data matches then I can go ahead and implement it in Production, other wise it would not be wise to do so .

Because i have done dashboarding thru scritping (Dyanamic fashion tough) ..It is very good ..But when, coming to the one you asked i have the idea how it works but cannot really tell you wich would be better.
Each Route has its own limitations.That really depends on what exaclty your client is looking after..
So if you new to xcelsius and eager to learn ..I suggest you to give a go at all those..May be you can let me know wich is the best one..

Pull the data from legacy System into report and display with SAP data

Create report by processing data from SAP tables and prepare output.And Before displaying the output, I have to pull the data from non-sap system which is readymade (It will come as flat file with similar fields as Report structure has) and finally display the records from both SAP and Legacy System by filtering duplicates.

Pulling/Extracting Data from Multiple SAP Systems - Scripting, ABAP?

Hello All,
I am working as an analyst for a large company that has multiple SAP installations across the world. What I am trying to do is create some global reporting metrics based on data from all of those systems on an ad-hoc basis without having the other units send the data to a central repository. I can receive access to all of the systems but I am unsure how to pull the data. The access to one of the systems I have currently does not allow the use of ABAP or RFC but does allow scripting. If I have a good business case I could ask for ABAP access and RFC as well.
I have researched and read through many posts and articles within the forums but I am yet to find a solution. I have experience in VB, VBA, and MS Access.
Can anyone suggest any ways to move forward?

According to my understanding, you may use vba in your excel or a just vb by programming against rfcsdk(librfc32.dll) or the newly nwrfcsdk, or use jco or nco..., but all these method are based on rfc function call.
You may write a simple abap side data extraction agent, just a function select some table with the data you interest, and then call this function from outside regularly, then you may save the returned table to a csv then bcp to sqlserver(c + batch), or just write to excel sheets(vba).
The simple table read function you may check RFC_READ_TABLE, but it has some limits and are not released. The more functional agent is also can be found from other vendors, eg ms sqlserver2005 kit`s sap adapter...
I do not have idoc or services experience, maybe in that senerio you will find a easier solution.Good luck, you may reach me at <REMOVED BY MODERATOR>

In the admin workbench open the modeling tab and select Source Systems
In the right pane, right-click on Source Systems and select Create
A dialog requires you to define the type of source system. Select Database System
Enter a description for the source system
Once you accept the definition of the source system, you have to provide the following information, save and back out:
DBMS: ORA (Oracle)
User Name: Your UID
DB password: Your pwd
Conn. Info: sql*net string
Select Permanent connection if this is the case
If everything went well, you should see the new source system. When you do a right-click and ask for the DataSource overview, the first time you execute it you will be prompted to generate the application hierarchy
In order to test connectivity, right-click on the source system and select Select Database Tables
The following screen shows up. Click on the execute button
any tables or views that you have access through your UID
Select a table or view and click on Edit DataSource
To test data retrieval, click on Display table contents
Designate the application component, determine the type of DataSource (Text, Master data, or Transaction data) then generate the DataSource

I have a requirement in universe if the end user will select the date from (1/8/14 to 10/8/14) then pull the data from the database. but when the end user select the data more than 10 days(e.g 1/8/14 to 15/8/14 etc...) then no need to pull the data from database.
how will write the filter in the universe?

I am assuming you are giving prompt for start date and end date respectively start_date and end_date.
please see the below work around. (below is pseudo code)
1. create one dummy objects as
case when @prompt(end_date) - @prompt(start_date) <= 10 then = 1 end
Remember text used in dummy object should be same as you use it for you date prompts
2. pull this objects in where clause along with your date prompts as
dummy_object = 1
It will work as below :=
your report will be prompted for start_date and end_date .
Same values will be passed to dummy objects.
When dummy object will be executed , it will check for end_date-start_date <=10 or not.
If it is less then 10 then query will executed else it will come out as where clause is not satisfied.

Cs3 Indesign problem - Pulling incorrect data from an .xlsm file.. please help

I am hoping someone can provide me some answers here, as this problem has stumped me for a couple of days now.
I am using Adobe Indesign Cs3 - and I have been pulling excel tables into the .indd file with no problem. However, I had to upragde my version of 2003 excel, to the newer 2007 version, which inlcluded having to update the base excel files to .xlsm from their previous .xls versions.
I did not change anything else with the files.. simply used 'save as' to update the files.
After the upgrade, I relinked all instances of tables for the .indd file, and all seemed to be fine. Except when I look at anything that was pulled in as a date, is now pulling in 4 years and one day behind what it is written as in the .xlsm file it is being pulled from.
It doesnt make any sense to me how Indesign can be pulling in figures differently than how they are written in the Excel file it is pulling the data from.
Hopefully this makes sense, and someone will be able to help me here

Aye.. the reason I have had to upgrade the excel files is because of the column limit in the .xls format. 2003 excel files will only allow columns up until the IV limit.. and my data now goes past that.
Since Indesign seems to have a huge problem trying to draw excel data/tables from anything other than 1 worksheet in an excel file, Ive had to try and create an .xlsx or .xlsm file to give me the extra columns I need for my data.
As for changing my source files.. that would be fine. Ive tried a few things with the dates, but nothing I've tried has worked so far. It reeks of a 1904 date system problem, becuase of the exact 4 years and one day off that indesign is pulling in (if you are familar with the 1904 date setting in excel, you will undertsand what Im saying) but why indesign is pulling in different data than what is visible in the source file is beyond me.
Example, the source file has a date: July 15, 2010. Indesign is pulling in July 14, 2006.
It is really bizzare.

Pulling differential data from the cache

Hi,
I am using LCDS 2.6 in my application. My application is using DMS to pull data from the EhCache which inturn gets refreshed from the database. Now once I receive a piece of data, it will not change in the future. Only new data would get appended to it. Hence I would just be needing the differential data and not the entire data. Currently after a regular interval, I use the DataService to hit the cache and get the whole data again which includes the older data as well as the newly appended data since I have the VOs mapped on both Flex and java ends using assemblers.
What I now want is that I don't want to again pull the data that has already come in. I just need the new data that has got appended to the original data. Is there any way that the LCDS would itself get to know about the differential data and notify the client.
Please note that the LCDS service hits the EhCache using assemblers and is not directly mapped to the database.
I am currently in the design phase and would really need help on this.

I believe data is being added to the store (in this case EhCache) from some other location. You need to notify LCDS that you are adding/removing/modifying data in the store directly, LCDS will then evaluate the change and send updates to relevant clients.

Inside the same webapp as the one in which LCDS is running, on adding an object, you need to begin() a DST, call createItem() to notify LCDS that you have added a new item and then commit() the DST to send messages to clients.

Help pulling off data from HD

Trying to recover data from old iMac CRT HD.
Problematic old iMac CRT System 9.2, Multimedia version. CD not functioning to burn data, OS freezes when attempting to copy off large amounts of data.
I tried booting this as FIREWIRE DRIVE, connecting with firewire 400 to System 10.4.11 MacBook firewire 400, (holding "T" rebooting), yet it just reboots/restarts -but not as Firewire drive.
Can I use a USP FLASH DRIVE in USP/1 port to pull out data from old Mac HD, or will System 9.2 require driver, will this work?
OR can I attach firewire 400 external formatted with System 10.4.x to this old iMac with System 9.2.x?
OR... can System 9.2.x publish/share to Macbook 10.4.11?
What do you suggest? I hate to go through added expense to have old HD physically removed, and pull data that way. THANKS< Mark

This is worrisome. You may have a problem with the hard drive. I suggest you try Disk First Aid.

this should work. You may need the latest firmware to be installed. I seem to recall that the target disk mode was added via a firmware update. Do you have a firmware password?
You need to figure out the level of your firmware before installing 10.2 or greater. ( The PC name for firmware is BIOS. ) Installing 10.2 with a down level firmware will most likely make your iMac unusable and difficult to fix.
Figuring out what level of firmware you have?
1) Mac OS 9.x or 8.x, you need to use the Apple System Profiler.

2) Open Firmware, boot into Open Firmware.
Power on your iMac while holding down commandoption+of

This worked for me. the driver is included in the extension folder. I was not able to format the flash drive with 9.2 drive utility. I suggest you format the flash drive to Mac OS standard.

I was able to upload files by using an FTP server. I used PureFTPd Manager 1.7 with Mac OS X 10.4. this download does include the server software. I did have to create a FTP user. I had to boot the classic machine after configuring.
