Infopath publish and managed path issue

I have a manged path, /part1/part2, that I use to create urls that look like
http://webapp.com/part1/part2/site1 and
http://webapp.com/part1/part2/site2
When using infopath and trying to publish to this I get a url invalid error.  I can publish to other sites not in this managed path without issue.
I have read that this is due to no root site collection but there is one.
Is there anyway to do this?

5 minutes after posting I figured this out.
It does require a root site however not at /.
If you are wanting to have /part1/part2/sitex in your url and you want to be able to publish forms to this you must create an Explicit inclusion type of path on for part1.

dept is site where we are publishing InfoPath Form.
Error: The Following URL is not valid

    Hi Imran,
I understand you got invalid url error when publish InfoPath form to managed path. Could you test if the issue occurs to other sites?
Here is a similar issue which is solved by creating an Explicit inclusion type of path on for managed path url, please refer detailed information via:

  • Managed Path Issue

Hi...While creating a member site getting Managed Path not found, even it exists ..
    Ravindranath

That's a wildcard managed path, which means that anything under the
http://WebAppName/ManagedPath/ will need a name such as
http://WebAppName/ManagedPath/SiteCollectionName. These are used to allow you to create lots of site collections without adding too many managed paths.
If you wanted it to work as http://WebAppName/SiteCollectionName then you'd need to delete that managed path and re-create it as an explicit managed path. These are used to give site collections prettier
names but don't scale too well, 10 is best and 20 is the maximum recommended i believe.

  • Cs5 "local disc" and .js path issues

Trying to add what appears to be a simple .js script to my doc:
I add the script to my <head>, which then shows next to my Source Code and other scripts. But it doesn't work, and when I click to open the file there, I get the message 'not on local disc', and 'Get' which doesn't work either, even though the file is in my local file view/f8. One would think when the script name pops up next to Source Code, the doc. path is correct, but that obviously isn't the case. So what is the deal with this 'local disc'?
I added a clearbox last week after pulling my hair out over the similar path issues, and after much trial and trib it finally worked. Would rather just like to understand it. Can anyone help? Thank you.
The .js' Column' script I'm trying to add is here if it helps: http://www.projectseven.com/tutorials/css/pvii_columns/index.htm

I also would like to know how to do this!

  • SWFLoader loded swf and relative path issue

    Hi,
Before explaining the problem, let me describe the usecase.
I have dashboard flex application hosted on Host1.
I have another flex application which acts as plugin to dashboard and is hosted on Host2.
I am using proxy to load plugin into dashboard using SWFLoader. With proxy SWFLoader in dashboard thinks that the plugin is coming from same host.
For plugin to load I specify SWFLoader source something like - source="Proxy/Host2WebappDir/plugin.swf.
Everything is fine upto this point. plugin.swf get loads successfully without any issue.
    Now the problem -
If plugin.swf made some request - the url path of that requrest is expected to be relative - i.e. if it make request say getIndianStates.xml, I am expecting the request should look for resource at "Proxy/Host2WebappDir/getIndianStates.xml". Instead it tries to look for getIndianStates.xml into dashboard hosting directory on Host1.
Can this issue be resolved without making any modification in source of plugin.swf.
    Thanks in advance,
    Prithveesingh Zankat.

I don’t know if any way to fix this without changing the URL the plugin wants to load.  Now if the plugin stores that URL in a publicly accessible variable, you might be able to access it from the main SWF and change it.  But it would be better to have the plugin detect relative paths and make sure they are relative to the SWF.  The SWFLoader component uses a LoaderUtil class to do that for SWFs it loads, but loads that don’t use SWFLoader need similar fix ups.

  • Overlapping and intersecting paths issue

I have a logo that I've made, however I'm trying to fix this overlapping issue solely in Illustrator instead of having to use Photoshop as well. My issue is a rope that goes under and over an anchor at various points. I'm quite new to Illustrator so I'm resorting to masking out the rope in Photoshop. Below is what I'd like to have:
And this is the furthest I can seem to get in Illustrator:
Any attempts to break the rope path up will change the path alignment which I can't seem to correct. I've tried clipping masks and that seems to make things worse. What would you suggest? I'm using CS6 and I'm fairly new with Illustrator.

Take your original copy of the rope adn send it to back.
Copy a duplicate and paste this in front
Draw rough shapes filled with black for the area you want the rope to be on top of the anchor, and group these elemtns (this will be your mask)
Select the top rope and your mask, in the transparency palette click make mask (Versions older than CS6 this can be found in the flyout menu)
    Enable clip and invert mask

  • Cl_gui_frontend_services= gui_download and logical path issue

    Hi all!!
I'm downloading a table with this class/method, and when i have worked with a LOCAL folder, it worked fine, but now, i need to put the file into a server folder. So i get the logical path in this way:
    10.20.xx.xx
but when i pass the filename to the method: v_filename = '
10.20.xx.xx\file.txt' the file is not generated into this folder.. and i have permission to access and modify this folder..
    Thanks for your feedbak!

If you need transfer each record of the table (I suppose itab with header line):
    LOOP  AT itab.
      TRANSFER itab TO file_path
    ENDLOOP.
Note: All of fields in itab must be character-type if the file was opened as a text file.
    Other example:
OPEN DATASET '/usr/sap/tmp/ztest.txt' FOR OUTPUT IN TEXT MODE ENCODING DEFAULT.
    IF sy-subrc EQ 0.
      TRANSFER zdepmentt TO '/usr/sap/tmp/ztest.txt'.
    ENDIF.
    CLOSE DATASET '/usr/sap/tmp/ztest.txt'.
Here the content of the data object (flat structure) "zdepmentt" is transferred to the application server file  '/usr/sap/tmp/ztest.txt'.
Note: The file ztest.txt is automaticaly created.

  • Splitting Site Collection and Changing the Managed Paths

    Hi there,
I was hoping for some advice.  We are planning the upgrade our SP 2010 to SP 2013.  We have one Site Collection whose DB is nearing 180GB and growing so we are going to "split" it up into four.
So, the logical thing would be to export sites/subsites and import them into their own site collection.  What I have found though is that when doing this, the workflow history is not kept - we need the workflow history so this is not an option.
My other thought was to restore the DB, move the contents to a new Content DB, delete out of there what I don't want and do that four times.  That could work but then I get the problem of the URL.  I'm assuming by restoring this same DB four times
it will be using the same URL?
So, if anybody knows of a tool out there that can do an export/import that will keep the workflow history that would be perfect (it would have to be free...) - or, how can I restore the DB's to new URL/Managed Paths?  Or maybe you have a better
solution?  Any help would be appreciated.

Rebecca, thanks for the suggestion - I just think that could get a bit messy for my users.
Alex, the Workflow Cleanup job is disabled as we need to keep a record of who approved the task items.  I cannot lose the history.
What I have done, and have only just started testing, was to backup and restore in Powershell the "Root site" and delete the three subsites.  Then, do the same again but this time, restore to a new URL
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/erica/archive/2013/11/26/customer-question-renaming-site-collections-in-sharepoint-2013.aspx
So, I've the done the following:-
    Backup-SPSite http://domain/sites/HR –Path E:\Backup\HRBackup.bak -UseSqlSnapshot
    Restore-SPSite http://sp.contoso.net/sites/HR/Subsite1 –Path E:\Backup\HRBackup.bak -ContentDatabase SPS_HRSite1
    Restore-SPSite http://sp.contoso.net/sites/HR/Subsite2 –Path E:\Backup\HRBackup.bak -ContentDatabase SPS_HRSite2
    Restore-SPSite http://sp.contoso.net/sites/HR/Subsite3 –Path E:\Backup\HRBackup.bak -ContentDatabase SPS_HRSite3
Obviously space could be an issue.  Not a perfect solution but workflow history is kept and I've been able to split my Site Collection. My next challenge is moving the subsite into the root of that new site collection.  I added a comment here if
    anybody has any answers -

  • I need to find out how to contact upeer management to try and resolve an issue before I open a complaint with the Attorney Generals Office as well as the Better Business Bureau and social media.

I have been with Verizon for 15 years. I have a family share plan with 2 smart phones a standard phone and a jetpack for wireless access. I pay for insurance on the 2 smartphones. Approximately a year ago I made a payment arrangement to continue service on my account even though I had some business difficulties. I was told that while the arrangement was in place I could not make any changes to my account. However, since then I have had the following issues and when I try and contact Verizon to try and resolve them I am place on eternal hold or disconnected.
Issue #1: My daughter lost her phone in June 2014. (The contract on this phone was up in 2013) I have been told that I cannot replace the phone even though I pay the insurance premium of $9.95 a month. I have been billed for it and have also been charged $54.87 for the monthly service as well. The phone has not made or received a call since June 4, 2014 yet I have been charged $274.38 I just was able to have the service suspended at the store today, 11/29/2014
Issue #2 My phone has intermittent flaws, locking up and reuring rests, dropping calls, failing to receive calls etc along with horrible battery life. I went into the local verizon store and they ordered me a refurbished replacement phone which was subsequently sent to me. When I received it I took it to the store to have them assist me in setting it up properly. I was told that I should NOT set it up but send it back due to some physical damage present on my old phone that would most likely result in a $150 charge...it was recommended that I just upgrade my phones as they were all out of contract and that would be the best solution. I asked the manager if that would be possible due to the "terms" on my account and she said "it would not be a problem". I was interested in an Iphone 6 which was not in stock so I sent the replacement phone back and left, to wait for the phone to become available.
Issue #3 I had a JetPack that was recently stolen from my car. I stopped in to ask what to do about it (it is no longer under contract either) They suspended the service and recomended I wait until I upgraded my other phones and then get a new Jet Pack. I just received noticed that they were going to continue billing me for it this week, even though it has been out of contract for several months??????
I recently went to Best Buy to take advantage of their Black Friday deals and was told that based on the status of my account I was ineligible for any upgrades. We called Verizon from the Best Buy and they told me that I needed to address my account status (I just made the scheduled payment on the 23rd of Nov) either with Financial Services or go to a Corporate Store. I went to the store and was told there was nothing that could be done at that level, I would need to talk to financial services (which was closed)
So, I am extremely frustrated and upset with this whole situation and wanted to make one more attempt to resolve it with Verizon before I make a full blown complaint to the Attorney Generals Office, the Better Business Bureau as well as post this incredibly BAD customer service story on social media. I hope that I hear from someone ASAP as this is critical that I get things resolved immediately. I can be reached at [removed].

Complain to the Attorney General about what? There is nothing in your story worth any such complaint. They will tell you the same.
First you have payment difficulty so credit and the Edge program are not available to you. You have to be credit worthy to get any upgrade, unless you can pay full price for all those new devices.
    Can you?
You are trying to get new contract plans, but since you are having paying on time and in full issues you will not get extended credit from any carrier.
What I would do is go and port out to Boost or Virgin Mobile where you pay a reduced cost for each device and get unlimited everything for $40 to $50 a month, it is pre pay so if you don't pay you get cut off.
Verizon although with the best coverage is also the highest priced.
    Good Luck

  • Can't save or publish and other issues

Aaaahhh.... I need help. I love iweb because of how easily you can just fill in the blanks and drag and drop things, but it is constantly going crazy on me.
    Here is my latest issue:
    1. When I try to save I get this message "Save Failed Too many open files in system" - What system? What files?
    2. Why are the "Publish" and "Visit" buttons greyed out now?
    3. Why can I see the "Comment" option when I am constructing my blog but not when others are viewing it and would leave a comment.- This was working fine before. Here's my blog if it helps: http://web.mac.com/ashleybrockinton/iWeb/ashleybrockintonblog/Blog/Blog.html

Do you have .Mac set to synchronize mailboxes? I don't know whether this could be part of the problem but if you use .Mac it's worth checking.
Do you keep mail messages on the server? This could be another reason. When you create a new account it might be downloading all old mail. I have my advanced settings to retain mail for only 1 week, then delete it from the server. I keep messages on my computer for preference.
I've just checked in Mail Help and for IMAP accounts the mail is kept on the server even though an account is deleted. For POP accounts it can be kept on the server too unless you have specified for it to be removed after a certain time.
Connection Doctor seems to remember all previous accounts that have been used but should indicate that deleted accounts can't be connected. I don't know which file contains this information but it will probably be in the user Library somewhere.

  • Incorrect Infopath content type update in form library after modifying Infopath form and publish it

I have an admin approved InfoPath form. I added new fields to that form and mapped those new fields with site columns. After uploading updated published form through CA, I noticed InfoPath Site content type for that form got updated (with newly added fields)
under Microsoft_Infopath group. This content type is also added in form library but somehow the new fields are updated incorrectly for this content type existing in form library (it doesn't show new fields, and shows one new field which is incorrectly
mapped with other column this is happening only in library).
    Things I tried:
    - Activate/Deactivate that content type feature
    - Deactivated feature, removed form from CA, re uploaded and activated feature
    - Removed those new fields and published and uploaded InfoPath form and then added those new fields and published and uploaded again.
-Deleted those fields from InfoPath and readded new fields and published and uploaded form but still the problem persists.
    Any help will be appreciated.

    Hi Thanks for the response,
But Update all content types inheriting from this type is already checked.
That form library has multiple content types associated with it , different infopath forms get submitted there. What I noticed is that when I change the form and publish it, its corresponding site content type gets updated but the same content type used
in form library doesn't get updated properly. I went to form library and checked that erroneous content type, there were some columns missing and one column was mapped incorrectly. When I clicked on "Parent" content type, it was showing all the new Infopath
fields(updated content type). So I figured that Infopath site content type was getting updated correctly but it was not able to propagate those updates (in a correct way) to the form library. I also tried to edit that content type and tried adding existing
site columns which were missing but surprisingly it was not showing those site columns either, which were mapped from Infopath publishing.
The cause for this behavior is : changes/updates to the Infopath content type are not getting propagated to the form library and this is happening for only one infopath content type but other Infopath content types are getting updated.
I had to delete all the forms using that erroneous content type and then had to delete that content type from the library and then re-added that Infopath content type to the library and this time it was having correct content type (updated columns).
This is not a perfect solution for the production environment, sounds like it is a bug.

  • Alternate development landscape and transport path - release management

We are discussing a proposal within our company to build a landscape that includes separate clients and transport paths for development of new system enhancements vs. ongoing production support. The idea is to keep all new development in a separate stream and prevent any conflicts with any required production support changes. This approach was used on a project where I previously worked, and we are seeking input from other SAP shops that use this approach, as well as any best practice documentation to assist us in development of an internal proposal on the topic. I would be grateful for any input on this topic, as well as the topic of release management.  I have done quite a bit of searching on SDN and BPX and am just not finding anything.
Note that I also posted this question in the BPX general discussion forum because I was not clear exactly how it should be categorized.  I apologize if this was not the appropriate course of action.

    Hi Bob
without being an expert. You could check the documentation for "Change and Transport System" (CTS) in help.sap.com. It comes with some "strategic" information as well.
The CTS "belongs" to SAP NetWeaver, and an extended version is available "CTS". Further recommendation would be that you check out the SAP Servicemarketplace information for SAP NetWeaver for "CTS". The use of such large functions is normally described in presentations as well.
    regards

  • Managed distribution and Apple ID issues

I am using managed distribution with VPP and MDM, but all the paid apps are not pushing out to devices. Only the free apps are pushed. I think the issue has to do with the student apple ids created with no credit card info. Is this a bug...

So apparently sometime late afternoon-overnight the app pushing has started working a bit. We have 4 paid apps that we use that have not been working as part of this Managed licensing issue. This morning they all seem to be working now. One of the 4 didn't work for the first 10 minutes or so but then just started working as I am typing this up. Very excited to see this functioning at the present time and I hope that it will continue to keep working.
The only hang-up I am noticing at the moment is if any of your AppleID accounts got fudged up during this mess and are requiring you to put credit cards on file. I resolved the one I had by entering a credit card and then immediately going to the payment settings (in a browser) and then selecting none again as the payment method, effectively deleting the card from that users Apple ID.
Let me know if you have any questions for me. So far I haven't received any communications from Apple support regarding this working at the moment. Just crossing my fingers it will continue to keep working and that it is not just 'turned on' briefly while they test.

Record about my phone (bought in Verizon store and connected to Verizon for 4 years) has been corrupted and now I can not make any changes to my data plan. Several sessions with the technical support and management have not resolved this issue. Each time technical people and top managers promised that this issue will be resolve tomorrow and they will cal me. Nothing happend!! I can not even cancel my service not just to upgrade it. Completely locked.
    Any advice?
    Thanks.
    Alex.

Cannot figure out what your talking about since it makes no sense.
If you are the account owner you can go to the My Verizon web portal http://www.verizonwireless.com
You must log in with your cell number and your my Verizon portal password. Not the account pin.
Once there you can change your plan and services. However repeated incorrect login attempts will lock you out of the site. It a fraud prevention measure.
1-800-922-0204 call support with your cell number and or account number and account pin and they can assist you.
If you don't have the information then there is nothing they can do.
If you can verify who you are they may be able to reset your account access. But only if you are the account owner.
    Good Luck
