Information related to international warranty

sir,My name is Piyush and i'am from India and I am thinking to buy HP ENVY notebook 15-ae027TX from Singapore. so before buying i would to like to get some information related about the following:As i live in India and one of my relative lives in Singapore and after couple of months he will be returning back to India and i'am thinking to ask him to bring HP ENVY notebook 15-ae027TX for me. So, in that case i would like to know that whether i will get it's warranty in India or not ?If i buy HP laptop from India, with that i will get 1 Year Onsite Warranty With Accidental Damage Protection. so will i get the same 1 Year Onsite Warranty With Accidental Damage Protection on the laptop purchased from Singapore in India or not?If i want to extend the warranty for the laptop purchased from the Singapore in India then what is the procedure to do that? Do i need to contact the HP Singapore service center or HP India service center? And last thing if any part of the laptop get damaged during the 1 year warranty time period or during the extended warranty time period and that part is not available in India then in that case how my laptop will get repaired and also do i need to pay extra for that part to get my laptop repaired? Please reply back to my mail so that i can decide whether to buy laptop from Singapore or not.

Hey Cosec,
The following links apply to J1939 for CAN.

Basically, J1939 is an application layer protocol that uses the CAN standard. National Instrument sells several different NI-CAN devices that you can use to communicate with J1939 devices using LabVIEW, CVI, or C.

• International Warranty for pre-configured T420

Hi,
I am interested to purchase the following laptop. I am from Singapore. The manufacturer part number is 417858U. I could not find the relevant warranty information from this or other websites. The warranty is 3 years, but I am not sure whether I will get on-site support, or whether I need to send the laptop to the repair center in Singapore/US to get it repaired. Also, whether I need to pay for the shipping myself. Could anyone in the forum help? Thanks a lot in advanced.

Hi kohyeekan, and welcome to the Lenovo User Community!
According to the Personal Systems Reference tabook the 4178-58U has a depot repair service 3-year limited warranty (i.e. you send it to a local repair center).
The International Warranty Service page shows that 4178 models are covered in Singapore.
Hope this helps!

• 10.4.10 Audio Popping Issues: Information Check with Internal Speakers

For people with internal speakers, or those without subwoofers: Please read all the way to the bottom to find a test that will determine whether you are also having audio problems, even if you can't hear pops.
We've had a lot of discussion about audio popping due to 10.4.10, and the evidence indicates that the audio circuitry is going to sleep to conserve power, even on AC-only computers like the iMac, Mac Mini, and (at least one) Mac Pro. Some people claim to not have this problem, but I'm wondering if they just aren't noticing it.
Having external speakers with a subwoofer, set to high amplification, are key to obvious detection of the problem. Let the sound subsystem go idle for 30+ seconds (wait a minute with no audio, just to be safe), turn up your external speakers really loud, and cause the computer to make a sound. You should hear a burst before the sound plays. If you repeat the sound, you won't hear the burst. This is the sound of the audio circuitry powering on, and the speakers are amplifying it.
About 30 seconds after the sound finishes playing, if you leave the volume of your speakers turned way up, you should hear a "pop" as the circuitry is powered off. Then, playing another sound will recreate the burst.
I haven't been able to hear these sounds with internal speakers, either on the Mini or iMac. But the problem still exists, and it is detectable... if you know what you are looking for.
The burst of the audio circuitry turning on also causes a delay in the audio. The delay is a noticeable fraction of a second, an it can easily be detected if you have a repeatable source of sound. I like Terminal.app, because I use that application all day, every day. Here is how you can check to see if you are also subject to the audio problems:
1. Start Terminal.app (in the /Applications/Utilities directory).
2. Wait one minute for the audio circuitry to shut down.
3. Without typing anything else, very quickly strike and release the Backspace key.
4. If you pressed the key all the way, the program should have caused a beep. However, if the audio circuitry goes to sleep, the beep should occur after you have moved your hand off the key. This is because the circuitry takes time to power itself on before playing the sound.
5. Now, quickly strike the Backspace key again. You should notice that the sound is produced immediately as you hit the key, without the delay you just witnessed.
6. Strike the Backspace key repeatedly, to confirm that there is no audio delay. Do this about once every second or two. If you press the key too rapidly, not all of the presses will produce sounds... this behavior is not related to the issue we are testing.
7. Wait another minute for the audio circuitry to shut down, and strike the Backspace key once more. You should again observe a delay between your strike and the sound production.
If you witness delays like this, your audio circuitry is also going to sleep, and you are having the same audio problems as the rest of us. However, either because you are using internal speakers, or because your external speakers don't have the appropriate response, you aren't hearing the same bursts and pops as the rest of us.
Please try this test, and report here. I want to build a list of people who previously couldn't hear the sounds, but still have the delay. This might give us a better picture of the scope of the problem.

Re: 10.4.10 Audio Popping Issues: Information Check with Internal Speakers
Your analysis of what is happening is right on.
The problem on my Intel Mac mini with external Klipsch speakers (two mid-range/high and a subwoofer) is REAL obvious as the system emits a hum like a Spinal Tap amplifier turned up to #11 when 10.4.10 powers down the audio circuitry
Then, if I play a song in iTunes, it first pops and the hum disappears right before playing.
Quite annoying.
Here's what I sent to Apple tech support:
Guys/Gals (OS X Engineers):
Concerning the Snap, Crackle Pop Audio problem in the 10.4.10 update:
Please. Just do the right thing and fix the audio.
There is no need to power cycle the audio subsystem to save .0005 amps on your laptops.
And then to make your Mac mini/iMac/other desktop users have to put up with it when using AC power is ridiculous.
Put the audio subsystem back like it was in 10.4.9 and let the laptop battery freaks looking for mini-amp savings get a "work-a-round".

• Can i get warranty for my iphone 5s in india if it has international warranty

I had buyied from apple authorised store usa so i had issue with home screen button can i get warranty in india ..

There is no international warranty on on iPhones.
Waranty is valid only in country of original purchase (exception is that EU is
considered one country for iPhone warranty).
You must return your US purchased iPhone to the US for evaluation. Either
take it personally or send it to friend or relative in US to take to Apple US
for you. Apple will not accept international shipments for evalutaion nor will
Apple ship internationally after repair or replacement.

• IPhone 5 hardware and International warranty

I had purchased an iphone 5 from United Kingdom on september 2012. Now i am in India and the sleep/wake (power) button is not responding properly and Iphone doesnt have International warranty so i cannot replace it here. Now what exactly shoud i do to replace or repair the device in India.

While buying I very clearly asked on support and I was told, that the first year warranty in an international
You were given incorrect information. The warranty is not international.
Also, pls refer to the link below and kindly comment if this is true and has this been initated http://www.themobileindian.com/news/14299_Exclusive-Apple-to-offer-global-warran ty-on-iPhone-5
That's a rumor only. Apple has not to my knowledge announced any such plan.
To end, my questions is why SHOULD I not get the support if I am willing to buy additional Apple Care locally.
As Felipe said, because Apple does not at present provide support for an iPhone ouside of the country in which the iPhone was officially sold.

• Russia: problems with international warranty

Good day!
I bought new iPad not in Russia and when I came back Russia I activated it. After 3 days the Home button hadn't worked. Apple in Russia don't wand to repair my iPad without receipt, but I have no it now! What's the problems? It has international warranty! How can I send e-mail to American Apple Office to solve this problem?

Thanks, I should have mentioned I have contacted the reseller and am waiting for a reply from them.
HP so far has not wanted to email me this so I can get it in writing. I only get emails from them stating that I need to call them ASAP to discuss it verbally (hmmm... wonder why?):
PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL
Hello Wooderson,
Your file has been brought to the attention of the Hewlett-Packard Customer Relations Management Department and we would like to speak with you as soon as possible to discuss a solution to your service order.
Office Hours: 8:00am - 8:00pm CST Monday-Friday
Contact number: 866-684-3620.

We look forward to your call and an available customer relations manager will be able to assist you.
Thank you for your time.
Best Regards,
HP Customer Relations Management Department
TEL: 866-684-3620
PLEASE CONTACT OUR DEPARTMENT VIA TELEPHONE
I intend to keep pressing them for a "written" response and explanation of why this is not being covered, but yes they tell me verbally that it is not an HP LCD and therefore I'm out of luck. I'll keep trying to call back to see if I can get somebody else. So far there's a voice on the other end of the line, but there's really nobody there with a brain.
Funny, you'd think they would be interested in finding out about what their refurbisher is up to, but they appear to have no interest at all. It's my problem not theirs if the gist of it.
I hadn't thought about the credit card options. I did indeed pay via credit card. I'll keep that in mind. I'm not sure if the time that has elapsed will complicate that or not, but it's worth a try if all else fails.

• Does MBP Retina display has any International Warranty?

Hi everybody,
My Sister and his family in the US are thinking of getting me a MBP with Retina display (mainly because it's cheaper in the US than in Asia).
I am of course very happy, but I also have a huge doubt: I live in India so wanted to know is there any International Warranty for 1 year so that if I face any kind of technical difficulties I can check it out in India?
Please let me know...Its urgent!
Thanx..:)

Yes.

• Satellite L850-Y3110 - Question about International warranty

I bought a Satellite laptop L850-Y3110 in India which has an international warranty.
There's a problem with it now, it's cd drive is faulty and I took it to an authorized service centre in Newcastle.
It needs the cd driver to be replaced, but now Im told Toshiba wont give the part cause I didn't but it in the UK, and the person told me to go back to where I bought it from and fix it there, I wont be going back there any time soon, so thats out of the option.
My question is what's the point of the International warranty if it's going to have these kinds of drawbacks.
When I bought a laptop I wanted one which would be in warranty internationally cause Im a student going out of the country for studies, thats why I bought this one as it has international warranty and my laptop still is in international warranty.
What am I to do now?

Hi
Im not quite sure about the notebooks sold in India but the notebooks sold in Europe are covered with at least 1 year European standard warranty, valid from the date of purchase
http://www.toshiba.eu/services/standard-warranty/
This warranty does not cover repair in other countries but in case of hardware malfunction you have to visit the authorized service provider in country where you made the purchase.
To get international warranty coverage you would need to purchase an International Warranty extension: details here http://www.toshiba.eu/services/warranty-extension/
In case the International Warranty has been registered for your notebook, the ASP in UK should be able to fix the notebook under international warranty conditions.

• How can I benefit of Apple's international warranty with my American iPhone in Italy?

Since I was in USA I bought an iPhone5 with a Verizon conctract and they assure me that, apart from the LTE frequencies, it had to work without any problem with an Italian carrier. Indeed it worked well for 3 months but, after updating to iOs 6.1.3, the cellular network usually started to crash, to show "no service" or to show service without working. I asked the Apple store and also Verizon about this problem but no one told me how to fix this problem, indeed the iPhone results to be unlocked. Moreover I have a problem with the sleep/wake button but Apple Care told me that they can't change it because it's American even if on the website they assure that the warranty is international. Could someone help me?
Thank you very much!

There is no international warranty for iphone, never has been.
Apple has never claimed that the iphone has an international warranty.
You would have to bring the iphone back to the U.S and then get it to Apple for service.

• I'd like to buy an iPhone 4S in France directly from the Apple Store, not from the operators. But, I will go back to my country, Thailand. So, I'm wondering to know that there is an INTERNATIONAL warranty for iPhone, and is it valid in Thailand (warranty)

I'd like to buy an iPhone 4S in France directly from the Apple Store, not from the operators. But, I will go back to my country, Thailand. So, I'm wondering to know that there is an INTERNATIONAL warranty for iPhone, and is it valid in Thailand (warranty). Would it be able to be claimed at the iStudio in Thailand?

There is NO International Warranty for the iPhone. Your best bet is to purchase one in Thailand. If you purchase a phone in France, you will NOT get warranty service on it in Thailand and will have to return it to France (or any EU country) for warranty service.

• How to get information about limitation Internal Memory on device

hallo ..
have some question here, so please some person able to answer my questions
1. How to get Information about limitation internal memory on device
2. is possible to improve internal memory on Blackberry ( move apps on external memory )
3. any tools to get internal memory activity ?
thanks for this people who joins here, hope we can share more information about blackberry ..

In addition...
There are three types of potential memory on a BB: 1) Application Memory, 2) Device Memory, and 3) Media/SD Card Memory.
Application Memory -- This is the most crucial; it is the protected (not user accessible), dedicated, and fixed (in size) space that is available as the destination for the installation of applications (plus some application storage, overhead and such). You cannot touch AppMemory. You cannot improve the maximum AppMemory that your BB has. It is what it is. Applications can only install here...there is no option.
Device Memory -- This is space on your BB that you can touch to store files, pictures, media, etc. Typically, it is not terribly large, but it is available to you.
SD/Media Card Memory-- This is what it says...your SD card, for you to store files, media, pictures, etc. It can be as large as your BB OS can support...see this KB:
KB05461MicroSD card sizes supported by the BlackBerry device software
On some devices/OS levels, you can only see "File Free" (Options > Status), which I think is equivalent to AppMemory. On other devices, you can see all three memory usage levels (Options > Memory). Here are some guidelines to use:
KB02843What is the Low Memory Manager feature on the BlackBerry smartphone
KB14320How to maximize free space and battery power on the BlackBerry smartphone
KB14213Call logs, SMS text messages, and email messages are deleted from the BlackBerry smartphone
Lastly, it is always important to properly close applications when you are done with them. Using the Back or the Red key will not do this -- those leave it to the app to decide what to do...and some will leave themselves resident in memory, consuming resources on your BB, slowing the overall performance. Rather, to close an app, press and select "Close" or "Exit"...that will force the application to be closed, freeing up for your new use the resources it was consuming. Some apps will always remain running (typically -- BBMessenger, Browser, Homescreen, Phone, and Messages)...but, you should still close them properly - especially the Browser...if it is left on an active web page, it will not only consume extra resources but battery power as well.
Further, anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure. Some have taken to doing this on a regular basis as a preventive measure...some as frequently as once per day. Others have obtained the QuickPull app to automate a simulated Batt-Pull.
Good luck!

• Query related to Internal Table

Hi ,
I have a small query related to internal table , can we dump millions of records to an internal .
The actual requirment is like i need to develop a report in BI side where i have to dump records into an internal table from PSA tables without filtering .
Can we do so ....
or do we have any other option to dump the data to an internal tables .
need some tips on the same .
Thanks ,
VInay.

Hello Vinay,
I believe the following extract will give you a brief idea on the size limitations for an internal table.......
Internal tables are dynamic data objects, since they can contain any number of lines of a particular type. The only restriction on the number of lines an internal table may contain are the limits of your system installation. The maximum memory that can be occupied by an internal table (including its internal administration) is 2 gigabytes. A more realistic figure is up to 500 megabytes. An additional restriction for hashed tables is that they may not contain more than 2 million entries.
Hope it proved useful
Reward if helpful
