Information requested re 10 day stabilisation

Hello to all,
Joined BT Total BB on 8th March. told max speed I could expect 17 Mb. which would not be achieved for 10 days.
Had problem 11th March with no connection, Engineer came Tues 15th and changed hube (bt hub 2) as original faulty.
checked speed each day after and it varied between 1.4 and 1.7 Mb.
Today rang BB Helpline on phone for 53 mins speaking (or trying to) a foreign gentleman who was as thick as a post and not getting anywhere. After many breaks checking this and that told
 first that the maximum line spped on my line was 4Mb so my 1.7 Mb was not that bad.
As my exchange (Tunbridge Wells) was fibre optic why did I not go for Infinity.
My Answer
Accordind to BT Sales and Line speed checker max on my line was 17Mb,
My Exchange was Elland, West Yorkshire (01422) not Tunbridge Wells (01892), and was not due for fibre optic until May 2012 so not able or wish to go for infinity as 17Mb was fine for me.
When informed that I had had a new hub replied that my 10 day period statred again and there was nothing he could do untill this was complete so would I call back after 28th March.
I understood that the 10 days were for line performance checks so what difference does a new hub make?
My BT speed check shows:

    Hi Priya,
    If you block a business transaction type, business transactions of this type are no longer available for processing. Existing business transactions which were created before the block are, however, not affected by this.
    A transaction type can only be blocked for online processing. However, as you mentioned, it is still possible to use that transaction type in background processing (for example, via BAPI or even Middleware).

  • Low speed after 10 day stabilisation period

    Hi all,
    I had my BB activated on the 1st Nov & was syncing at 17.000kbps, Next day we were only getting 4.543kbps.
    Not knowing what was happening i rang BT. The chap on the phone told me about the 10 day stabilisation period, So i thought ok fair doo's and left it at that.
    So the 11th of Nov comes and i go to check the router stats...

    But this chap is telling me he can not manually configure the line i've got to wait another 10 days?
    Is this the norm for BT? As before i switched to BT i was with Sky & could not remember 20 days stabilisation period.
    Was i just beeing fobbed off or do i really have to wait another 10 days? The chap on the phone was pritty sure he could not do anything till the 20th if my speed had not changed.

    Hi, i've no problems with disconnections but i have manualy power cycled the router a few times and we have a token electric meter which tends to go off every 2-3 days which cant be helped
    The electric went today around 8 or 9am this morning, im guessing this is no good for my line all these power cycles

    go into SM37 and cancel scheduling of SAP_REORG_SPOOL
    then, you can schedule program RSPO1041,
    check option at the bottom, you can specify usernames (creator).
    click on the arrow on the right, click on exclude single value and put your username
    adapt other parameters in this screen accordingly. call it SAP_REORG_SPOOL
    shchedule the same program and put parameters for 365 days four your special username only. call it SAP_REORG_SPOOL_SPC
    Result: you have 2 scheduled jobs:
    1. job that delete every old spool except for your special user
    2. job that delete 365 days old spool for your special users.

    Instead of using SNMP TRAPS I would like to use INFORM requests. When I receive TRAPS everything is working correcty. When I receive INFORM requests, the source interface is reported wrong.
    My config:
    snmp-server trap-source Loopback0
    snmp-server source-interface informs Loopback0
    snmp-server enable traps snmp linkup
    snmp-server enable traps config
    snmp-server host 10.101.1.15 inform version 2c public
    snmp-server host 10.101.1.15 version 2c public
    The TRAPS report their source address as Loopback0 but the INFORMS report their source address as FastEthernet0.

    Hello,
    we are also migrating from traps to informs and I can see that this source-interface issue is still open. I can confirm it is happening on Cisco 7609-S with IOS: 12.2.(33)SRD5, SRD6 and SRE2.
    In bug toolkit I can see it opened for 6500 under CSCtc43231 (http://tools.cisco.com/Support/BugToolKit/search/getBugDetails.do?method=fetchBugDetails&bugId=CSCtc43231) but there is no any SR release under affected versions.
    If anyone knows any workaround, I would appreciate it a lot.

  • Slow connection during the 10-day stabilisation pe...

    Hi all
    My phone line has been noisy and BT has fixed the problem by installing a new line from my property to the road.  This was 4 days ago and the phone is nice and quiet now; broadband, however is on it's knees at no better than 0.46Mbps.  (Three different test sites agree). 
    I have raised this 3 times with the call centre and on each occasion have been told that this is quite normal during the 10-day stabilisation period.
    Why I am on a stabilisation I don't know, but I do remember that when I was first installed on BB, all those years ago, the speed I had at installation was very close to the speed I had after 10 days.  It was definitely not slow for 10 days and then popped up to 7Mbps!
    Secondly, when BT Vision was installed, an engineer made some qos adjustments to my profile to ensure that Vision performed well.  Obviously today none of the streamed Vision services work.
    I guess these are my questions:
    Should I not worry about the woefully slow speed and just wait another 6 days, when all may be well?
    Is it likely that I have been connected to new infrastructure that I should be raising a query with someone to do some qos magic re. the Vision service?
    I hope someone can put my mind at rest, cos it just doesn’t seem right to me, and if I get to the end of the 10 days only to be told there is a problem (and possibly put on another 10-day stabilisation period), I won’t be best pleased.

    AS work on the line has been involved then yes it will be in a retraining period just a matter of sitting tight and letting the exchange equipment do its work

  • SAP/AIMS Connection - Sending Informational request

    We are currently working on a connection between AIMS and SAP.  Currently when they send an informational request over to SAP GRC they are specifying the system (R/3 or BI).  Is it possible for them to leave the system field blank or put a generic term like ALL?  Any help is appreciated.  Thanks

    O.k had a read up on http://www.apple.com/privacy/government-information-requests/   do people who own apple or bought products( personally dislike the word customer, since I feel it dehumanises people) get notified by apple if a government agent had requested accessed to their account and for what reason ?
    I certainly would not like it if apple let some government agency from whatever flagged land mass called a country go into my personal things on the basis of national security , just for being an oddity, and that I know and understand that governments are often more corrupt than the general population of this planet ?
    I certainly would not like to be probed on the basis of being knowledgeable about government corruption, the industrial military complex and its secretive ideas and discrimination of extraterrestrial life, and my stand for being anti-gov on conscious objective grounds on the basis of governments being inhumane to its citizens of planet earth outside and inside its imaginary borders , and the imposed  austerity measures on people to fund weapons for war and idea of conscious human beings as being "human capital".
    Also much of what is considered "government" has been decompiled into private corporations in some countries as you call them , such as serco, capita, and g4s etc...
    I would appreciate it if Apple privately contacts me if some agency tried or requested my data and for what reason. Because I would not like this happening behind my back and being studied as a specimen on your planet.

    To be clear, this is a brand-new Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials install. Since posting this message, I formatted and reinstalled the OS. The original issue has now changed as explained below:
    This happens from many starting points, but here is an easy example to follow -
    Open Server Manager
    Select Dashboard
    In the middle panel "Welcome to Server Manager", select "What's new"
    Click on the first item "Add Remote Servers or Create Custom Server groups"
    *This is where is was failing previously with the syntax error of the original message.  Since the format and reinstall, it does this:
    A pop-up says "How do you want to open this type of link (http)?" with one option - "Keep using Internet Explorer". I click on the  link and it opens, which is better than before,  but why is it asking every time?

    You need to include a TIMESTAMPDIFF function in your filter... something to the effect of
    TIMESTAMPDIFF(SQL_TSI_DAY,"Service Request"."Create Date",CURRENT_DATE) > 5
    Double check the column reference.

  • SiteVisit/Information Request for Customizing Time Entry/Approval on ESS

    Our organization is considering adding Time Entry & Time Approval to our Employee Self Service.  The portal was just upgraded from EP6 to BW7.0 (our system is ECC 6.0). We currently use ESS for employee paystubs, benefits enrollment, membership campaigns, updating master data (address, bank information) and more.
    We are looking for a Public Sector organization that has done Time Entry on ESS that would be interested in allowing us to do a site visit to gather information, ask questions and see your system.  Please contact me if you are interested.
    Also, even if you are not public sector, I am interested in any information about the ability to customize this functionality. We have the timesheet option up and running in ESS (in test) and I can enter time and it shows up in CAPS, but it needs to be customized to meet our needs. If you have done customization, I would love to see what your timesheets look like.
    Most importantly we are looking for a site visit to gather information, but also any information about customizing the ESS timesheet would be greatly appreciated.

  • Security Information Request

    I was looking for some information on or a link to information on the security fixes that relate to the various releases of JRE. The reason for the request is that I come from a shop that has as many as 9 different iterations of JRE from 1.31_02 to 1.42_07 right on up to 1.50._06b. I am trying to get a standard in place for both security and application support and the powers that be are slow to drive in anyone direction without specific need security wise.
    What I want to be able to show them is how many things were fixed in the various releases so that I can impart through documentation the importance of moving to the latest version and in so forcing some of our vendors to release software versions that run on those latest versions.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • BBM - Random friend requests, 20+ a day.

    Before asked, I have not given my pin out to anyone apart from trusted friends.
    I'm getting upwards of 20 requests a day on BBM, becoming an annoyance having to constantly block them.
    Any suggestions on how to stop this? 
    Even if it meant only I could add them... 

    Also, the blocking them in Firewall hasn't worked... And they're definately not on my contacts list...

    I am struggling with creating a stored procedure which will allow me to delete old data from specific tables within a specific date range. Ideally what I would like to do is to create a stored procedure where I can specify the delete from let's say 6 different tables and an adhoc number of days. I am new to this and any help is greatly appreciated.
