Information transfer from J2ME client to WLS 8.1 sp3 thru' SSL

Hi,
We are planning to have a J2ME client (CLDC 1.0 and MIDP 2.0) to transfer information to Weblogic server 8.1 sp3 through SSL. We are planning to use Verisign certificate at the Weblogic server to implement the SSL communication. Could you please let me know if there is any issue?
I came across from BEA web-site
(http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs81/notes/issues.html#1278025)recently that J2ME clients have certain issues to talk to WLS. That page says:
Web Services Known Issues
Change Request Number CR107595
Description
SSL does not work for J2ME clients on WebLogic Server 8.1.
Certicom SSL libraries require additional features that are not supported by J2ME. Therefore, SSL is not supported for J2ME clients on WebLogic Server 8.1.
That is why I am little apprehensive. Please advise.
Thanks,
Goutam.

1) sorry, there is no official solution of "1999 schema" problem that I know of.
2) if the service is not changed, there is no need to re-create call or stub object for every invocation.

Can anyone say is it possible to switch from j2me to
j2ee later in the carreer????he he he...
Let me tell you something buddy... the way the mobiles are becoming today, it is not far that the distinction between j2ee and j2me will be minimized, if u are talking about enterprise business apps made for mobiles. You can not probably build an enterprise app for mobile without the j2ee counterpart of the j2me app. And as I told u, as the world is heading today, people needs all info at his/her hand, so they will need it in their mobile only and how anything other than an ME app can serve their purpose that too with a rich GUI !!!
SUN once told, Net is the computer !! I'm waiting for the day when somebody will say MOBILE IS THE COMPUTER !!!

  • How to transfer file from one client to another client?

    hello,
i have some questions and hope you all can help me..thanks a lot first..
    Here are the questions:
    i) How can i send a file from one client to another client using RMI?
ii) Does the client(sender) need to send the file to server, then server save it and then send it to another client(receiver)?
iii) If using RMI, a client can receive two files from same client(sender) or different client(sender) at a same time? how to do it? when both of the files come in from same port, how to differenciate them?
iv) For your information, i am doing the File Transfer Server-client application which sender can send any file to other client. Can you give me any ideas? thanks..
    Last, thanks again..

Your questions reflect some ambiguity in terms.
"Client" and "server" are commonly used in two different senses:
    1. Technical sense: A client process makes requests, and a server process fulfills the request (provides a service).
    2. IT sense: A client computer (process) makes requests of a server (computer) process, and the server (computer) processes the request.
In the first case, any computer might be a client, or a server, or both, depending on the processes being executed. In the second case, the computers are assigned some role.
So: If you wanted to, you could implement client/server processes communicating between two peer computers, using RMI.
This may not be what you wanted; if you really want to distinguish client and server computers, then the answer is that yes, you will probably put files into intermediate storage on the server computer.
Finally, you probably do not have to worry about port conflicts if you use RMI; while the initial client server contact is established through a registry operating on a standard port, the actual RMI communications is established using random ports, one for each link.

  • How to transfer data from one client to another client

    Dear Experts,
Please explain how to transfer data (Materials) from one client to another client?
    Thanks,
    Ajay Kumar

    Hi Ajay,
    Check any of below methods
Refer thread http://scn.sap.com/thread/171981 where people use IDOCs for master data transfer.
    OR
This is done by BASIS team, by client refresh or client copy. Check with your basis team for this and there is some predefined time when they plan this activity, and in most project they do it once in 3 months etc to get production environment in test system which helps to resolve issues of production by creating similar case in test system.
Check below threads for more information
    http://sap.ittoolbox.com/groups/technical-functional/sap-basis/cleint-copy-vs-client-refresh-1377848
    http://basissap.blogspot.in/2008/05/what-is-client-copy.html
    OR
You can download data from one client and upload in another through BDC or LSMW.

    Sharat

  • Is there is any way to find the data transfer from client to Configuration Manager for health monitoring and hardware Inventory

    Hi
Can Configuration Manager provide a way to find the data transfer from client to Configuration Manager for health monitoring and hardware Inventory. How can I know what amount of data is consumed during that process

Place archive_reports.sms in %systemroot%\ccm\inventory\temp\ for both 64-bit and 32-bit computers.
There are two situations where you can use this depending on the type of client:
    1. To keep inventory reports on a client (that is not an MP), create the following file:
    %systemroot%\ccm\inventory\temp\archive_reports.sms
    2. To keep inventory reports on a MP (that is also a client), create the following file:
    <x>:\sms_ccm\inventory\temp\archive_reports.sms
The XML file will be saved in the inventory\temp folder.
More information on the above here: http://blogs.technet.com/b/configurationmgr/archive/2012/09/17/controlling-configuration-manager-2012-using-hidden-files.aspx

  • Transfer data in the Ztable from one client to another client in a same ser

    Hi all,
How can i transfer or move data in the Ztable from one client to another client in a same server .
    Thanks
    Ajay

    hi,
create a transport request (Workbench type) and add the following line into the transport request:
    R3TR TABU name_of_table
save and doubleclick this line and enter the table keys for the required entries (if you need all antries: client and an asterisk will do).
When it is done save again, release the transport and ask basis to import into target client (or you can do on your own in SCC1 transaction)
    hope this helps

  • How to retrieve CRL information from a client computer

Is possible to retrieve CRL information from a client computer and how?
    Thanks.

CRL's do not normally live on workstations... normally these are hosted on servers. If you want to see what server are in the local revocation list then look at the certificates mmc snap-in and look at the revoked certificate list. If you want to test
a CRL for a certificate then export the certificate and run "Certutil -url"

  • Transfer a table with data from 1 client to another client

Hi experts please focus on this issue.  what is table maintainance generator? what is the main advantages of it.
how can we transfer a table with data from 1 client to another client.
    Thanks  in advance
    vamsi.

Table maintenance generator can be generated via se11 on your table.
The advantage is that the table can manaully be updated via SM30.
If you want to transport to another client the table content, I think you can :
    - Generate a transport request in SM30 ( Transport button)
    - use SCC1 to transport from a client to another.

    Hi,
within the same server you can moved the configs with SCC1 transaction. Consult your basis for the process involved to move requests.

    Hi,
    It should be accessing :- http://<planning server>:8300/HyperionPlanning/help/en/hp_information_map/hp_information_map.html
Can you access that address on the machine hosting planning?
The file structure on the web server depending on which app server you use should be something like \Hyperion\deployments\Tomcat5\HyperionPlanning\webapps\HyperionPlanning\help\en\hp_information_map\hp_information_map.html
