Initialize FACTOR in Data Allocation

Hi All,
I need to initialize Factor value to something like,
FACTOR=1+USING/TOTAL
in data allocation logic in SAP NW 7.0 SP02 version.
its throwing error like its not valid even if am using this with various combinations of [] or () for the expressions the error remains.
Can anyone help me in this issue.
Thanks in advance,
Regards,
G.Vijaya Kumar.

Restrictions on the use of FACTOR:
1 + USING, USING u2013 1, 1 u2013 USING and similar expressions are not supported (you can use -1 * USING/100
or 1 * USING/100 though!),
and
You canu2019t use any script logic keywords in FACTOR expression.
Regards,
Sheldon

    I have read some of the other posts for people that got this error, but none seem to apply to me.
    My program has been working for weeks.  I made some minor changes, and started getting the error (full details below).
    I did a TFS "undo pending changes" and still getting the same error, even after logging off.  The one odd thing is that I did change my Windows password this week. The connection string is using a SQL user id and password that has no issues.
    I'm an Admin own my own box (running WIn XP SP3).  I even tried "Run as Admin" on Visual Studio.
    I'm doing a Debug-Start, running a Console-Test-Program that calls a WCF service, which on local machine is hosted by "ASP.NET Development Server".
    We have two other developers, one has the same problem, one does not.  In theory, we have all done "get latest" and are running the same code.
    The SQL Connection is related to a trace database; we are using this library http://ukadcdiagnostics.codeplex.com which has worked fine for months.
    When I do "Start Run" in Visual Studio, I get this error:
    {"The type initializer for 'System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection' threw an exception. "}
    with InnerException: {"The type initializer for 'System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnectionFactory' threw an exception."}
    and it has InnerException: {"Requested registry access is not allowed. "}

    I think I found it... this is sure a strange error for what is really happening.
    Apparently it had happened to me before, and fortuantely, I actually added the following comment:
                // Above is related to the WCFLOG SQL Diagnostics Trace
                // If you get error here an inner exception "requested registry access is not allowed"
                // inside exception "type initializer for System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection"
                // then make sure you have impersonation enabled in your client.
                // See AdminConsole web.config or FRB.EC.AdminService.ConsoleTester.app.config for examples
    Now I think I will do a try catch and spit out the same text.
    Still testing to assure that this really was the issue.
          <endpointBehaviors>
            <behavior name="FRB.AllowImpersonate ">
              <clientCredentials>
                <windows allowedImpersonationLevel="Impersonation"/>
              </clientCredentials>
            </behavior>
          </endpointBehaviors>
    The line below in BOLD below is what somehow seemed to disappear from my app.config - probably due to a TFS human error - still checking that also:
            <client>
                  <endpoint address="http://localhost:4998/AdminService.svc"
                                  behaviorConfiguration="FRB.AllowImpersonate"
                                  binding="wsHttpBinding"
                                  bindingConfiguration="WSHttpBinding_IAdminService"
                                 contract="svcRef.IAdminService"
                            name="WSHttpBinding_IAdminService">

                              <dns value="localhost" />
                        </identity>
                  </endpoint>
            </client>
    Here's how I "idiot-proofed" this error for now, to give an error that actually at least points to a solution:
            public SqlDataAccessCommand(string connectionString, string commandText, CommandType commandType)
                try
                    _connection = new SqlConnection(connectionString);

                    // If you get error here an inner exception "requested registry access is not allowed"
                    // inside exception "type initializer for System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection"
                    // then make sure you have impersonation enabled in your client.
                    // See AdminConsole web.config or FRB.EC.AdminService.ConsoleTester.app.config for examples
                catch (Exception ex)
                    if (ex.ToString().Contains("The type initializer for"))
                    throw new System.ApplicationException(@"
                    Your client app <endpoint> must be cofigured have a

                   else
                        throw ex;
                _command = _connection.CreateCommand();
                _command.CommandText = commandText;
                _command.CommandType = commandType;

  • Initialize delta without data transfer not possible

    Hullo,
    I want to switch the upload procedure for an ODS from full to delta. For I have researched SAP Note 689964 and executed the program RSSM_SET_REPAIR_FULL_FLAG for the ODS-object and datasource. It successfully modified the request and set the 'REPAIR_FULL' flag.
    Now I want to change the InfoPackage from Full update to Delta. According to the note I have to perform an init simulation, my problem is that the option initialize delta without data transfer is in display mode only (i.e. it's gray and I cannot select it).
    The InfoSource in question is "0HR_PY_1". I've checked several others and with some it is possible to select the initialization simulations and with others it's not.
    My questions are a) Why is it this option grayed out? and b) What can I do to enable the selection of this option?
    Any help is appreciated.

    Hullo AK,
    thanks for pointing out that note, sadly it's for "0HR_PY_PP_1" and not "0HR_PY_1".
    However it lead us to note '611199'...
    <b>Symptom</b>
    Some attributes of the following DataSources are not defined.
    0HR_PY_1 DataSource:
    - Commit after initialization phase
    - DeltaInit Simulation
    0HR_PY_PP_1 DataSource:
    - Commit after initialization phase
    0HR_PY_PP_2 DataSource:
    - Commit after initialization phase
    <b>Other terms</b>
    PXDW, extractor, posting transfer, settlement, PCPO, PCP0
    <b>Reason and Prerequisites</b>
    The SAP settings for the DataSources are incomplete.
    The following attributes should be set:
    0HR_PY_1 DataSource:
    - Commit after initialization phase: no commit
    <u>- DeltaInit Simulation: Mode is not supported</u>
    0HR_PY_PP_1 DataSource:
    - Commit after initialization phase: no commit
    0HR_PY_PP_2 DataSource:
    - Commit after initialization phase: no commit
    <b>Solution</b>
    Import the corresponding Support Package into the Plug-In Releases 2003.1 and 2002.2 and copy/activate the DataSources in the plug-in system again.
    If the correction is imported, you can <i>no longer select the "DeltaInit simulation"</i> option for the delta initialization of the <b>0HR_PY_1</b> DataSource/InfoSource.
    As long as you have not imported the correction or you are using an even older plug-in release, you should never select the "DeltaInit simulation" option during the delta initialization for the 0HR_PY_1 DataSource/InfoSource. <b>The 0HR_PY_1 DataSource does not support this mode.</b>
    The 0HR_PY_1 DataSource only supports the delta initialization (without the DeltaInit simulation) and subsequent delta calls.
    Sadly enough, not what I wanted to read, but well at least I now know that I shouldn't look into this solution anymore.
    Again, thanks for your help.

  • SSRS Database Configuration Manager Error - Could not connect to server: The type initializer for 'System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection' threw an exception

    I'm Getting the "Could not connect to server: The type initializer for 'System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection' threw an exception" Error on an existing Instance of SSRS that had been working previously (lots of installs/patches since).
    Any time I try to hit the "Test Connection" button on existing connections or create new ones from the SSRS Config Mgr., it throws that error.
    I know the SQL Server connectivity works (I have SSMS installed on there and can cut and paste server Login to connect). The problem is I can't really get any more details on the error...Event Viewer isn't logging anything, I have upped the trace level
    to 4 in the reportingservicesservice.config file, I have even watched it with procmon and nothing obvious pops up.
    Let me know if anyone else has been down this path and what they have tried.

    Hi BillOlive,
    Based on my research, the issue may be related to user access permission. You can refer to the following method to troubleshooting the issue:
    Open C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\CONFIG folder | right click on the machine.config file | Properties | Security | make sure your domain account has FULL CONTROL permission on this file.
    If above steps still do not work, please backup your machine.config file to somewhere else and replace with the attached one from my Windows Server 2008 environment.
    Alternatively, app.config file also may cause the same issue. There is a similar issue, you can refer to it.

  • Initialization for char data type?

    I observed that as String I can declare something like this:
    String str = ""; but for char data type, if I declare:
    char ch = ''; the compiler will have an error: "empty character literal". So how can I fixe this problem when I want to initialize my char variables as "empty"? Anyone got an idea?

    Strings (and StringBuffers/Builders) are collections* of characters - so it makes
    sense to be able to refer to a String with precisely zero characters. But char is not a collection of anything - it has whatever value it has and can never
    be empty.
    *collections with a small 'c'.

  • How to initialize (from db) data at webapp startup?

    Hi,
    I need to load a set of data from the database (i.e the list of all countries, used to fill html select-option).
    And I would like to keep these data in an application-scope bean, so the data can be shared to every user.
    I can load the data from the db in the constructor of the application-scope bean, but the problem is the bean is only initialized at first access. Beause, I've got a lot of data to load, it will take too much time.
    Can anyone tell me what do I need to configure so that this application-scope bean can be initialized at server startup ??

    You could bypass the managed bean facility entirely and initialize the bean manually during web application initialization using a ServletContext listener.
    Once you have the data loaded, you store the object in the ServletContext and then access it via the EL like any other scoped object within your pages.

  • Data allocation for internal table rows Dynamically

    Hi Friends
    I have requirement like below:
    I have one internal table with 400 amounts columns, I will get the value from another program
    that indicates to which column I have to add the values. I dont want to write the case statement
    because I need to write 400 WHEN statements.
    Is there any alternative way dynamically I can choose the internal table column and assign the value which
    I am getting from external program.
    Please help on this as soon as possible.
    Points will be rewarded
    Thanks
    Praveen

    Hi Praveen,
    you may use the ASSIGN COMPONENT ... OF STRUCTURE ... statement.
    It allows to assign the field by name or by sequence.
    Assume you columns have names like amount_001 to amount_999 and are fields of structure ls_amounts. The do as decribed here roughly:
    data:
      lv_fieldseq type NUMC_3,
      lv_fieldname type fieldname,
      lv_amount type (???).
    fieldsymbols:
      <amount> type any.
    * fetch amount and field sequence from external data into  lv_amount and lv_fieldseq
    concatenate 'AMOUNT_' lv_fieldseq into lv_fieldname.
    * <amount> is something like a pointer
    assign component (lv_fieldname) of structure ls_amounts to <amount>.
    add lv_amount  to <amount>.
    if you are sure you have the correct position of the amount field in the structure stored in variable lv_position, you may use
    assign component lv_position of structure ls_amounts to <amount>.
    I prefer the ASSIGN (fieldname) for reasons of more transparency and less danger in case of structural changes.

  • How to initialize data?

    There is a legacy Java application that has to be migrated into portal. As a first step of this process the application has to be split into 3 portlets. All of them are going to be part of the same home page of community.
    This legacy application has initialization process that supposed to be executed when user login into the portal and render home page for community. As result of initialization process some data (Java objects) will be stored in remote http session. All portlets belong the same WAR file so there is no problem to share this data between all of them.
    As I understand when portal render the page these portlets will be call asynchronous. So every portlet who needs this initialization data is responsible to check session and initialize them if these data are not there. Because the rest of the portlets also need this data it will introduce locking/unlocking mechanism for this http session object.
    So my question is: does portal has any way to help solve this issue or this one is entire application responsibility?
    Originally I was thinking that PEI may help somehow but it doesn't look like this.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you.

    What is your question? You need them to go in order one at
    a time?I guess my question was how to have initialization data in remote http session (shared over 3 different portlets) BEFORE portal begins render a page and actually make calls to remote server?
    "Go in order" may be one of the solution, but I don't think Aqualogic supports this functionality, and there is no really needs for this because, imho, this approach kind of against of Aqualogic architecture.
    "Delay" is pretty much the some as locking/unlocking in sense that implementation has to be done on application level (I don't see any options to introduce delay through portal Web Service UI).

    This seems to be related with an environment issue, please have a check the worked machine and the non-worked one, to compare if there are some difference.
    >>If there is a handler for this exception, the program may be safely continued.
    This could be due to missing references. Or it could be due to an error in the app config file. Is it possible for you to post your code about the connect part and the connection string? And here is an article describes how to process the first chance exception:

  • Data initialization problem

    Hi All,
    We are planning to initialize our sales data.Till now we were not extracting sales data to bw.There are around 1crore records.
    So we are not sure how much downtime we should take on production server.
    we are at sap bw 3.5 and sap r/3  4.6 C.
    Can we do any breakup while initialization ? Because when we tried this thing in development server its not working.
    These are the steps we followed.
    1. locked all the users in r/3 dev.
    2. delete the data of setup table for sales order (11)
    3. filled the setup table for only one sales org and comp code.
    4. performed delta initialization process in bw.
    5. it is extracting correct data for that sales org and comp code.
    6. now we deleted the data of setup table
    7. filled setup table for another comp code and sales org
    8. Created one delta request.
    9. Nothing is getting extracted in BW.
    10. In R/3 there is data for another comp code and sales org.
    I think i am missing something or its not possible to breakup the initialization process..
    Please help me out...
    Regards,
    Viren.

    may i suggest a better strategy...
    (note that delta will pick up data from the delta queue..and not from the setup tables..only full or init loads pick data from the setup tables..so the delta u had done brought 0 records..as delta queue had 0 records)
    1. lock all the users in r/3 dev.
    2. delete the data of setup table for sales order (11)
    3. fill the setup tables of Sales(for all SO and CC)
    4. run an 'init without data transfer' to BW(no selection in infopackage).
    5. this will create delta queue for BW(with no restriction on range of SO or CC).
    6. run a full load to BW(1st one) with selected SO and CC in infopkg selections
    8. run further full loads...with required selections..
    9.once confirmed that all data has come to BW..delete setup table data for sales.
    10.unlock users
    11.now..assuming that job control is setup in LO..any new/changed records will come to BW delta queue as init is already done...(path depends on option chosen in LO settings..for queued delta comes to extraction queue..from there by collective job to BW delta queue)..

  • How is the product allocation  work?

    How is the product allocation  works? (material master: Basic Data 1,) where is the place to maintain the parameters?
    point will given

    Product Allocation
    Configuration Overview; Allocation Specific Usage
    1.Allocation Procedure (OV1Z) The product allocation procedure is the parent of the entire allocation process. All materials that are to be included in the allocation scheme are required to have an allocation procedure assigned to it in the material master. In addition, as of release 4.0, it is in the procedure that the method of allocation is defined. The user has the opportunity to set an indicator to identify their choice of two different methods (discrete and cumulative allocation) to evaluate the quantities to be considered for product allocation.
    2.Allocation Object (OV2Z) The allocation object is the root level of the allocation process where actual data is entered and planned in LIS. The object allows the user to further break down a procedure into smaller parts for future validation of components comprising a specific material
    3.Allocation Hierarchy Mapping (OV3Z) Primarily, this transaction permits the assignment of an allocation procedure to an LIS information structure. Secondly, a character is assigned to the information structure to permit collective planning. Finally, the user can assign a step level to the procedure and information structure to sequence the order in which allocation quantities are checked. This functionality allows the user the opportunity to check product allocation against several product allocation scenarios, before the required quantity is confirmed
    4.Define Consumption Periods (OV5Z) The allocation consumption periods functionality is only valid if the allocation method flag has been set (OV1Z). If you have de-selected the method field, this functionality is not available. The consumption window indicates the number of past and future periods to be used in the allocation check.
    5.Control Product Allocation (OV4Z) In order for the allocation process to function properly, allocation control records are created primarily to map allocation procedure steps to their corresponding objects so that the allocation data records can be located for validation. Secondly, validity periods must be established to indicate when the allocation control records are active. Finally, the user has the option of establishing a conversion factor per allocation control record to accommodate BOM listings of constrained materials
    6.Activate Allocation for Requirement Class (OVZ0) In order to turn on allocation in the standard order processing functionality, the requirements class must have a flag indicating that allocation is relevant.
    7.Activate Allocation for Schedule Line Category (OVZ8) In order to turn on allocation in the standard order processing functionality, the schedule line must have a flag indicating that allocation is relevant
    8.Create Planning Hierarchy (MC61) In order to adequately establish allocation quantities, the user must initially determine the level at which the allocation is to take place and the aggregation factor of the allocation quantities. In this step, the levels for the collective allocation search procedure are also identified.
    9.Generate Masking Character (OV7Z) Upon completion of the level determination for the planning hierarchy, the collective allocation masking character must be generated to allow aggregation indicators to be established. This transaction simply reads the hierarchy established in the planning table and then generates a collective mask character for each level of the hierarchy
    10.Modify Planning Hierarchy (MC62) This step is a repeat of MC61 where the initial hierarchy was established. In order to complete the hierarchical set up, the collective allocation (mask character) hierarchy must now be maintained with the appropriate aggregation factors
    11.Allocation Procedure Assignment to Material Master (MM02) At the root level of the allocation process are the materials. Each material that is to be considered in allocation scenario must be mapped to an allocation procedure. In order entry, then, when a material is entered with a valid allocation procedure in the material master, the allocation data is verified prior to confirming the line item ordered
    12.List of Suitable Structures (OV9Z) This report is used to identify potential LIS information structures that can be used in the product allocation process. This report simply reads through the data dictionary and selects all the active information structures that contain the field product allocation object (KONOB) as the first field. This data can then be utilized in the mapping transaction (OV3Z) to link the allocation procedure step to an information structure (previous step).

  • 7.6GB of "Other" data... what is this?

    i upgraded to the iOS5 yesterday i have an iPhone 3GS and it says on my data usage bar that i have 7.6GB of "Other" data... what is this?

    It is something that is not one of the other listed items. Apps is a listed Item, but the data that applications accumulate is 'other.' Audio is listed, but a local audio attachment that may be downloaded to your phone is 'other.'
    There is a new facility in iOS 5 to show the data that is used by applications. Take a look at that.
    Under: General/Usage.
    Also, previously I have noticed that iTunes factors into the calculations, items that are pending but not yet transferred, This should be much more accurate if you have implemented iCloud because the phone will always be more up to date. But because of the predictive nature of this (pre iOs5) the total space used occasionally became out of sync numerically, but not in reality—This simply due to the sync / download sequence nature of things.
    And sometimes 'other' can be a bit mysterious because there are so many individual items to account for. e.g.  I, Pod–cast a lot. I use much more space than music and this always adds 'other' overhead to that space calculation.
    So, sit down with a calculator and and things up. Look at the detail of what you have flagged for transfer and look at the data allocation per application and you my be able to find the discrepancy.
