Input caching using wl:cache taglib in WL6.0sp2

I have been using the output caching in WL6.0sp2, using the <wl:cache>
          taglib, and have been very impressed by the performance improvements.
          However, the documentation for input caching is very sparse, and no examples
          are given at all. I am not at all sure how this feature is to be used. Does
          anyone have any experience or examples of caching input (vars)?

Dima,
          Thank you! You have explained it quite well.
          I have one more question about the cache taglib: can you nest them? I am
          imagining that, if the server cannot hit the first cache, then there might
          be another level of caches further down that it could hit and still achieve
          some performance boost.

  • Workaround for missing ADF Faces Cache taglib

    I've downloaded Steve's migrated version of SRdemo (http://otn.oracle.com/products/jdev/tips/muench/1013srdemo/SRDemoSampleADFBC_migrated_to_11g_otn3.zip) and am trying to run it on JDev 11g TP3. However it couldn't find the ADF Faces Cache taglib in the afc.jar file that is deployed within the UserInterface project as it looks for a D:\temp... path.
    A workaround for this is to:
    * go to UserInterface "Project Properties...", choose JSP Tag Libraries: "ADF Faces Cache 1.0" will be shown in red as it references jar:file:/D:/temp/SRDemoSampleADFBC/UserInterface/public_html/WEB-INF/lib/afc.jar!/META-INF/afc.tld
    * delete the red "ADF Faces Cache 1.0"
    * click "Add", "User" folder at top, then click "New" button.
    * navigate to the directory where your SRDemo project is stored and then UserInterface/public_html/WEB-INF/lib/afc.jar - then click OK.
    * it calls this "ADF Faces Cache [1] 1.1" - select this and click OK, then save the project properties.
    You should now see ADF Faces Cache [1] 1.1 in the list - I'm assuming this is a new version of afc.jar not yet bundled with JDev 11g.
    HTH. Any comments or alternative suggestions welcome!

    2. Answer its question Itself. Yes, change the filling items in SelectOneChoice through ForEach on preparing the reference book in BackBean and bind it with attribute "value" of f:selectItems speedup rendering about 6 times!

  • Loading a table from multiple input files using sqlldr

    Hi,
    For my project i need to load into a table by joining two input files using sqlldr. For example,
    I have a file1, which has values
    name,salary,ssn
    and file2 which has values for
    ssn,location,country
    now i need to load these values into a table say employee_information by joining both input files. both input files can be joined using ssn as common field.
    Any idea how to do this??
    Thanks in advance
    Satya.

    Hi,
    What is the size of the files. If possible mail me the sample files, And the structure of table. Is the <ssn> from first file and second will have seperate columns in the table or we have to merge it.

  • How to Create an Input Form using a Transient View Object?

    I would like to use a Transient View Object to store data from input forms across a multiple-page enrollment process.
    My question is how to I create the input form using the Transient View Object on the .jspx page? Do I drag/drop an ADF creation form onto the page? Or, use a regular ADF form? Do I need to create the initial row progammatically?
    Just looking for some general directions or set of instructions? I've looked at the SRDemo example (Globals Transient View Object), but I'm not sure how they created the page at design time?
    thanks

    Well following the SRDemo example, this seems to work:
    1. Create Transient View Object
    2. Add to Application Module as a Data control
    3. Add to .jspx page as an ADF Form (not as an ADF Create Form)
    4. Add following code to Application Module containting Transient VO instance:
    protected void prepareSession(Session session) {
    super.prepareSession(session);
    insertTransientViewObjRows();
    private void insertTransientViewObjRows() {
    ViewObject transientvo = getViewObj1();
    transientvo.clearCache();
    transientvo.insertRow(transientvo.createRow());
    }

  • Where to apply input verifier using netbeans IDE editor

    You should ask your problem in the netbeans forum or just set the input verifier manually.

  • I am not able to open a batch input job using SM37

    Hi Gurus,
                          I am not able to open a batch input job using SM37. I enter SM37 through a well authorized ID. May be there is a authorization issue or may be not. I check all the check boxes even then it is not possible. Please help me.

    Hi Amit Sharma,
    If I am not wrong, the problem would be because you have not closed the job after creating it.
    You must have used JOB_OPEN, JOB_SUBMIT but not JOB_CLOSE.
    Job_Close is the FM which submits the created job to the background processing system.
    Hope this resolves. If not, paste your code here so that we can have a look

  • Problems configuring a port in niPXI-6509 card as input port using static DIO Register Level Programmer maual

    Hello ,
                 I am using a ni PXI-6509 card for my application. Since I have to compile my application in Interval Zero RTX, I am using the static DIO Register level programming using VISA. I have successfully configured the card to do output on  port0. But when I attempt to comfigure another port1(not the same as output) I can successflly configure it. But when I send 5V through the corresponding pins I donot get a value 1 in the Data register for that channel.
    the following i did to configure as Input...
    1) IO Select register set to 0 (for input as the manual suggests)
    2) read from IO data register.
    Do I need to do anything special to configure as input port.
    please suggest...
    Thanks

    Hi Sathish,
    Given how much blatant, undisclosed, and unrepentant
    cross-posting [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] you've done to ask this question, I
    gave you the benefit of the doubt that you were new to the NI forums
    and didn't understand the etiquette of this community. However, looking
    at your profile, you've been around just over 8 years! How can you be
    so selfishly impolite?
    To your credit, you at least searched the forums to find (somewhat) relevant to which topics to reply, but as you said you 'tried the entire NI Site', I'm surprised that you missed the DDK home page [6] that has a link to the M Series register map.

  • Specify an input file using Windows Explorer

    Hi, I'm very new to Orchestrator.
    Instead of writing stand-alone PowerShell scripts to perform tasks against an input file, I would like to use Orchestrator, thus avoiding the need to write the code.
    Is there a way to specify an input file using Windows Explorer via Orchestrator?  When invoked, I would like my Runbook to open up Windows Explorer, where I could navigate to my input file, then press OK and have my automated processes run.  Do
    I need to look beyond Orchestrator, say towards Service Manager, or is this natively available in Orchestrator?
    Thanks,
    Nick.

    Hi,
    there are several Ways.
    you can use the SCO Webconsole, to start a Runbook and put in a Porpertie.
    you can use SCSM with SMPortal to define the File
    or you can use the free EUPSCO Portal, to build a Webfrontend for SCO

  • Validating Input characteristics using other characteristics value in PI sh

    Hi,
    I am currently working with PI sheet, the requirement is to validate the input characteristics using some other characteristics values, like
    Char Name | Value | Input |
    Acids     | 2-3   | 2.5   |
    CONC      | 10-40 | 20    |
    in this case consider the characteristic value from character Value to validate Input.
    Please suggest.
    Anmol.

    Hi,
    I got the solution clossing the threat, by using variables in PI sheet to create validation formula.

  • Disable finger input when using stylus

    Hi,
    It would be really very useful for those of us with Galaxy Notes to have an option to disable finger input when using the device's stylus. It could be that finger input should still be usable for pinch/zoom etc., but not for drawing or erasing.
    An on-screen toggle button for this would be ideal, as in the Galaxy S-Note app, but even an option in the app preferences would be excellent.
    This would make a great mobile app even better.
    Please add a comment if you would find this useful.
    Thanks,
    Mike

    I think this is a good idea, with the proviso (as you mentioned), that you could still use the two finger pan/zoom (and three finger 100% zoom toggle).
    Why don't you stick this in the ideas section? Then people can vote on it.
