InputStream in JDeveloper 10g with windows

Question

How can I stop the input in the Scanner class. I am using the following simple code to input text but I can't stop the standard input and it seems stuck. Any ideas?.
Scanner scanner=new Scanner(System.in);
String LineSeparator= System.getProperty("line.Separator");
scanner.useDelimiter("\r");
String st=new String("");
System.out.println("Enter a text: " );
st=scanner.next();
System.out.println("The text entered is: "+ st);

Currently i am using Weblogic for 11gRelese 1 (11.1.1.6.0) or 11gRelese 2 (11.1.2.1.0).
