Insert/Delete a page in LiveCycle Designer disabled

I am working with an 8 page form and am trying to delete the last page on the file, however when I try the 'Delete Page' option is disabled or 'greyed out'. I am using Adobe LiveCycle Designer 8.05.2... and created the form in LiveCycle. It also won't give me the option to insert a page (also a form created in livecycle designer). Anyone have any ideas or seen this problem before? I am going through everything trying to figure out what the issue is.

Can you post your form so it can be looked at?
You can upload it to acrobat.com using these steps:
1) goto acrobat.com website
2) login with your Adobe login/password.
3) In Actions you will find Upload. Select your form and upload.
4) After uploading, select form name in All Files section and right click and select share.
5) Check the checkbox "Allow anyone with a link to view this document".
6) Copy the URL link and post it in the forum.

I've a sample document which contains a empty page without a text frame and another empty page with text frame with no contents on it... but my script remove only the empty page and not the empty page with txt frame...

Why do I have to run a doc.saveAs() prior to Inserting, Deleteing, or Extracting pages?

MY SETUP:
I'm using folder level javascripts.   In Acrobat I have the 'enable menue items javascript execution privledge' enabled, In my actual folder level scrips I have them wrapped in a trusted function along with app.beginPriv()/app.endPriv().    My PDF's are coming from LiveCycle Designer which I then open and run in Acrobat.
MY QUESTION:
Through much trial and error and banging my head on the wall I've found that if I want to use insertPages(), extractPages() or deletePages() called as a trusted fucntion on its own it won't work unless I first run a saveAs() function to create a new document file and only then can I run the desired function on the new saveAs'd doc.   I simply can't run an insertPages() on the current open doc without a saveAs first().
Why is that?
I find that very frusterating and the resulting errors aren't a help. If I don't SaveAs first I get security error or invalid function errors.
EXAMPLE:
Save As Function:

Hi George. Yes I'm using static XFA forms which were created with PDF's as basic 'artwork' in the background and then my custom fields and script tunning on top.
I've tried running a function (below) in the console, but did nothing -- maybe a syntack error. I don't know what that may or may not mean though. I'm not use to running stuff through the console so I could be doing it wrong. My console experiance is limited to calling the path where the javascripts folder resides.
Attempt script in console:

Delete Blank Page in Form Created in Designer ES 8.2

A fairly simple, straight-forward 3-page form was created in LiveCycle Designer ES 8.2. At the end of the form (when saved and opened as a dynamic PDF) there is a rogue page at the end. I cannot figure out how to delete the blank page.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Single Page Spry Tabbed Insert - Delete - Update

Hi Guys
I like to make a page with three Spry Tabs.
* Using ( PHP - Mysql )
* Example ( Table of "Users" Fields ID, Name, Age )
( First Tab )
List of all people with navigation dividing table by ten rows

On each row Delete & Update This person.

It was never possible to have more than one of those
behaviours on a page
using the standard behaviours in previous versions. You
always had to write

Take a look at the troubleshooting tips on this page from the Infosemantics website:

Pay particular attention to the section entitled: "My drag and drop question works correctly sometimes, but not other times. "
From the appearance of your slide, it looks like you may have removed some of the components from the quiz slide that are necessary for it to function correctly. Try the test that this section of the troubleshooting suggests so that you can see if this is the case. If it turns out that you have deleted some items, you'll need to recreate your quiz slide to get them back again.

Indeed, you may want to consider upgrading your CreatePDF subscription to Acrobat Plus subscription – that would allow you to download and use Acrobat XI Pro desktop application on your computer.

Really having problems with organising documents in pages. For example, deleting pages deletes the whole section and I cannot insert a section break as its greyed out & sending an object to background deletes several pages - what the **** is going on???

You can not insert a section break into a textbox.
You appear to have a lot of objects with wrap set, that once you take them out of the flow of text (by sending them to the background) causes the text to reflow and contract into fewer pages. Pages is almost unique in the way it forms up pages in Word Processing mode only so long as there is text on them.
I suspect you probably have hammered away at returns, spaces and tabs as well to position things, which only works to add to the mess.
Download the Pages09_UserGuide.pdf available under the Help menu and swot up a bit on how it works.

PS There is quite a lot of programming in OSX that is far from "intuitive". Pages is easy at one level, when using the templates, otherwise it can be quite frustrating.

Hiding pages in Adobe Livecycle Designer Form

I have a form with many pages. I want page (1) active and visible. I want all other pages invisible unless the corresponding sn field on page (1) is filled in.
Example
Page 1
sn for page 2 entries
sn for page 3 entries
sn for page 4 entries
etc
page 2, page 3, page 4, etc should be visible only if something is entered in the sn field of page (1). Like, "If sn for page 2 = null than page 2 "hidden".
Can this be done?

Hi All,
I figured the solution. The Design View is the former Body Pages Tab. SAP has apprently dropped the Body Pages Tab in the newer version of LiveCycle Designer and called it the Design View.
Treat the Design View as the former Body Page.

LiveCycle Designer ES2 - There are no pages selected to print Error

I have recently updated by forms to liveCycle Designer ES2 and Adobe Acrobat X. We are experiencing an issue with printing the form that was updated to use ES2. When send it to the printer we get 2 error messages and it doesn't print. First Error: "The Document could not be printed" Second Error: "There were no pages selected to print".
I am not sure way I am getting these errors now but it is becoming a large issue. Other PDFs not created in liveCycle Designer ES2 print fine. Also it is not just one computer that doesn't print it is at least 20 computers (windows 7, adobe reader 10.1).
Any help would be appreciated.

Does anyone have any tips on how to resolve this? My LiveCycle form is a dynamic form. It seems like livecycle Designer ES2 has corrupted it or designer ES2 has a bug that makes reader and acrobat print engine not recognize the pages.

Adobe LiveCycle Designer 10.0 insert QR-Codes

Hello Adobe Community,
I contacted an Adobe supporter via live chat two days ago. He said that the Designer 10.0 supports QR-Codes on PDF.
But before buying the expensive software, I want to make sure that it really supports creating QR-Codes (Data Matrix Codes).
I want to create these code fields as variable form fields and fill in data via a C# application and print it afterwards.
Is this possible with the Designer 10.0?

Livecycle Designer ES2 Windows -- Disable purple field borders?

Hi all --
I'm new to the majority of the Adobe Suite, but not to many similar programs. I'm making a complex form in Livecycle Designer ES2 and many of the fields are close together in a grid-like fashion. The problem is the light purple border that shows up on a field when you click on it. It obstructs fields around it. I have to constantly click away from a selected field to clear my selection if I want to click a nearby field.
Is there a way to turn off this border?

Large page numbers will crash Livecycle Designer! Beware!

I tried converting a 70 page .pdf file to fillable, and when I try to scroll down my forms past page 30 in Designer, the remaining pages get cut off. I cannot access over half of my document.
Don't make the same mistake! Separate your file into smaller chunks because Adobe Designer cannot handle larger files!

Ahh, no, it doesn't quite work.
Throughout a section I have info boxes - these are text boxes wrapped in a subform called info1a, info1b etc. which are set to be hidden pre print - and post print they are set to visible. This works in itself.
However the code above still counts the page numbers within the section prior to the info boxes being hidden - in other words, the info boxes cause the pages to be printed to extend beyond the section as if the info boxes were still there, even though they are not.
If I have two buttons - one to set the visibility of the info boxes to hidden and then click another button to print the section then it works fine, but I can't amalgamate the instructions into one single button.
Here's what I have so far:
Button one - to hide info boxes:
form1.summary.Button1[2]::click - (JavaScript, client)

Security issues with Livecycle Designer

In the past, I have been able to modify and change documents inside of Adobe Acrobat after creating the forms inside of LD. I've recently run into a problem where the security settings in Adobe Acrobat continue to advise that it is unable to make changes to the document, which prevent me from inserting or deleting pages. I was able to save documents into a .PDF format from LD without any issues before a week or so ago. I've searched high and low for an answer, but cannot determine why it would have suddenly changed
I'm using Livecycle Designer ES2. I've modified the program in several different ways, but none of them allow me to change the security settings to allow Acrobat to perform the functions that it used to.
Printing the document from LD into a PDF is not an option, as I still need others to have the ability to modify/add answers inside of the created forms.

If your form has been saved as dynamic PDF you have a XDP file in a PDF shell.
This kind of PDF (XFA form) is totally different to regular static PDF.
Acrobat simply does not allow to modify dynamic PDFs because it can't.
